1 second makes little to no difference in wvw. Pvp maybe, things tend to be close quarters and often quick but wvw is open and unpredictable.

Thief isn’t op, OP. It’s a learning curve that people are either lazy or selfish to learn. When playing against other players there are multiple things to learn.

Too many conditions? Bring condi clear/negation.
Too many stuns? Bring a stun breaker.
Too many evasions? Bring lock-down abilities like immobilize, and cc.
Too much damage? They prolly die in seconds, out smart them.
Too much stealth? WELL, you could, _______ (multiple suggestions, varies by profession and build).

Problem is stealth counters aren’t obvious, they are learned by playing the game. Most people rather just get a 1200 aoe reveal for 20 seconds and call that a fair buff to their class to deal with thieves, because they don’t care to L2P. It’s a sad truth, most people aren’t interested in working on kills. I can bet that atleast 80% or more of main-thieves rarely run into troubles when playing against other thieves. Why? Because they know what to expect and how their things work.

you can duel everybody every server there. ( way way more people as well )

The most fun is when they block your chat before you have ever spoken them and then start to abuse you via whispers whilst you can’t talk back. So childish. You know you’re doing something good though if you’re invoking so much nerd rage.

The best is if you continue farming them, they then ragequit and re-log another character so they can farm you, after which you duly proceed to roflstomp their faces.

Had a Ele rage at me when I 1v1-ed him three times in a row yesterday. He then whispered me and said he’d log his thief and “hunt me down and make my life hell”. A shame for him that he was a 2-spammer and just too easy to kill. Chain-locked him on my Mesmer, then let my illusions kill him off very slowly when he was in downed state whilst I did a /dance on his corpse. He totally rage-quit shortly after.

Bags are a little bit overrated.
You get way better reward in spvp – Gold / Glory

if you play for bags.. you are just wasting your time there ….

if you play for fight …. This one is tricky … you will see most of people running away, stealth escape, outnumber you ….. which spvp may be more enjoyable.

So you dont PVP much, but won pretty much every fight and you wonder why people complained about your build? You just said that you dont play PVP much so its not skill (at least not lots), so it must be the build/class you are using.

I also suspect you are telling some porkies, as who wants to grab the daily and decides to go to a dueling server?! hotjoin would bag you the needed things in maybe 2-3 matches (you can do it in 1 if you know what your doing).

Warriors are tanky by nature, so they will always have a advantage over another class in a straight up 1v1. Bunker up a little and pick up some condi removal and you can dish out nice damage whilst not taking a great deal.

As for the chat, just turn it off. Nothing grand is ever said in chat other than aggression or the odd “take mid and i will take home” which will never happen anyway so not much reason to have it.

I doubt it. It’s increasingly difficult to field a map full of people that are there to do whatever is necessary to kill it. Instead it’s a lot of people that want to ride the coattails of others for “free” loot. There is a reason it took BG longer to kill marionette.

The one that has been leading us for days now is KnT wvw guild. They just want to kill wurm and found it challenging …. and made the TS just for wurm

Maps are all full a lot of over flow ….. i’m guessing there are around thousand of ppl doing it all day all night unlike spvp i face the same face over over half of time ….

If you want more ppl from outside to get in you need to change a couple things.

Game mode : playing around circle every map is dumb. Some noobs come up with bunker builds ( engi. warrior, guardian ) that do no dmg at all and just trolling around circle. I have more fun fighting npc lmao.
The map needs to be bigger too. 1 warrior’s bow burst covers whole circle = suck

They need to make PvE gears usable in Spvp somehow

i’m r40 spvp and r100+ in wvw. also having every class lv 80 btw

Ps: reward is actually very good right now. Glory = Tomb, some gold. I personally dont care about ranking / leader board

There are very different pvp in real world and pvp in spvp.

if you play bunk you may have some chance against bad one but no way zerker will beat them in real world pvp.

personally i dont like ( pvp wise ). I used to play Rift. It was too easy to switch build to counter enemy or even copying the build.

just like how people switching characters in spvp right now.

When you do TeamQ, you don’t know who your opponents are, what classes they are, what builds they are running until you’re in the arena. By then you’re locked into your build.

I dont know all the cheeze builds too but a lot of them are dumb in roaming / 1v1 in WvW, mm necro , spirit ranger for example

Best thing to do when seeing a PU Mesmer: run away. He/she possesses little to no chasing ability, and will not hinder your zergs. Guess who has good mobility? Warrior.

I did that a couple time when i played on my warrior and that Pu mes immediately spammed emote laugh

maybe if you duel in Windmill or OS ( WvW ).

Warrior would have very much higher chance to beat Thieve.

I haven’t seen a warrior winning 1 v 1 with Pu Mesmer or condi thieve yet ….

I don’t know why are you guys saying mesmers are weak against conditions. Trait glamours, drop a null field on the capture point (sPvP), and you will be fine for 7 seconds at least. Arcane thievery can work as well against condi spammer necros/enigs etc. Just stand still in your glamorus and chaos storm, block attacks with scepter or swod and watch the enemy suicide on your torment/confusion The new healing skill works well too!

It’s more balance in Spvp but in WvW their dmg goes up hill.

95% of duel in OS / WvW i have faced are either Mesmer condi or thieve condi.

and this type of Mesmer is not even that strong in spvp … it pretty much explains that it’s pretty broken here in wvw.

lol personally i have no idea how spirit build is good at all. if you put them in you lose

defensive skills. more over it only takes a couple aoe to nuke them out.

the condition they provide are not even as strong as Mesmer / thieve nowadays

i would love to be educated though so i may play it on my ranger, if you are in Tier 1 NA.

only problem i have with this type … Dps is so low. not enough conditions to spam unless you go for trap

i ended up adding more power i still didn’t like it. maybe it may work with plex runes. i never use this rune

about 95% of 1 v 1 .. i have faced these days are Thieve or Messmer Plex runes ….

They really need to do something with it though ….. spamming steath + plex runes is a a bit too easy.

yep OS is the best update so far …. not because of GvG or dueling though …

with our strong relationship between BG, SoR, JQ. We turn it into bags farming 24/7 ( BG owns it 99% of time)

with instant re spawn make it even faster …

I like how our guys have no hesitation at all to faceroll these two severs compare to our last match ….

Ele is my 6th 80s. I found it’s the hardest one to play after spending a lot of time with it.

because a lot of good access are divided into each tune… while most of other classes just have all in one tune. )))
