There’s now six maps in Heart of Thorns.

If you’re enjoying your original set of maps, you can stick with that and not shell out the extra money. The only time Heart of Thorns will be severely discounted is right before the launch of the next expansion, so if you bought it then you’d promptly wind up right back where you started, missing out on the newest content that people are playing because you don’t want to pay the price for it.

Well the game is very boring to me now and $40-60 for HoT seems like a major rip-off considering the things I’ve heard people say about it.

I mean since the base game was $60 for 31 areas and HoT is 5 new areas. $15 seems like the right amount for the content.

I would say that theyre literally killing it. Nothing has really brought the game “back to life”. Seems like they just ran out of ideas and have no idea wat to do…

So, I’ve had GuildWars 2 since release (pre-ordered). And I’ve managed to have 5+ 80’s. Levelling is extremely easy to me, but out of all my characters, I only have 1 character with 40% map completion. The rest have >30% and some are even at >10%.

I plan on making a new Necromancer, as I’ve never had one. I am really wondering how you guys grind through map completion without getting ridiculously bored.

My recommendation is to go to a bank/crafting station, click on Wardrobe, and then just go through all of the light armor skins. There you can mix and match to see what looks best for you.

ya, thats wat ive been doing, but cant find a really correct fit, and was just wondering if some1 did that i overlooked…. also the scarf is not in the wardrobe, nor the wizard hat…

Yes. Or you can buy another character slot and have him as a bank char. A bank Char has more inventory slots than a 30 slot bank tab and can hold account bound items like a bank tab. You can also park him at a jumping puzzle chest for a daily harvest. Either way, if you’re not happy with him, start a new one.

I don’t have another slot and I plan on buying one for the revenant so I don’t want to buy 2. I don’t use my bank too much so….

Hi, I’ve come to a problem. I have a Norn Ranger (lvl 80) and he has some decent gear (nothing more than 50 gold), but he is extremely ugly. I was thinking of deleting him and making a Sylvari Ranger for the upcoming druid build. I can instantly level them up to 80.

Should I do it?

Hi, so my friends recently bought this Guild Wars 2 when it was on sale. They want me to play with them on a new character. I decided I would delete my Human Thief, since I don’t care for the play style, and make a Char. The problem I ran into was deciding which profession to be. I am very decided on the looks at max level.

I already have the following:
80 Asura Warrior
80 Human Guardian
80 Sylvari Mesmer
80 Norn Ranger
80 Human Elementalist

I really like the warriors play style and I think that a Char in heavy armour would look dapper. But I keep thinking of a engineer; the lack of weapons on the engineer makes me rethink, also the medium armour concerns me.

Please tell me which class you think would be fun on Char, also please give reasons and some BA pictures of what I could look like at max.

It is in the FAQ – They cannot remove the debuff. Just wait it out. Remember the debuff is from 3 CONSEQUETIVE matches where one leaves early. That has to be happen before the debuff occurs.

They are right about the connectivity – they were being bombarded by the outside. They have no control over that.

I’m guessing you didn’t care to read my entire article, cause I clearly stated at the bottom it was removed today…. so I’m not sure what your talking about.

I know a lot of people got the “Dishounorable” debuff due to the servers crashing over the past days. So I contacted Anet on both a Support Ticket and Forums, this is what they said on both…

Support Ticket:

“Please understand that connection issues can occur anywhere along the network path between your computer and our servers. This is the nature of the Internet in general, where any point in the path can suffer congestion that causes lag or intermittent loss of connectivity.I sympathize with your frustration about these issues but we have reviewed recent information about the game and we are not able to identify any issues with our service. Support is not able to address losses resulting from issues beyond our control.”

The Support Ticket claimed that there were no server issues over the past week, and Gale Grey said that they (Anet) could not remove any debuffs. Today the Dishounorable Debuff was removed before the time limit.

I’m NOT an experienced player, but I’m sure that engineer isn’t boring. I mean, depends what ‘boring’ means to you, but engi has so many options, that it shouldn’t be ‘boring’.. But this is only my opinion.

The amount of weapons it ckittene is off putting. so really only looking for a warrior or necro.

Hello everyone, so I’ve just bought a character slot, and I have a problem. I have every class to level 80 except for a Warrior, Necromancer, and Engineer. I feel the engineer would be uber boring.

1. Warrior or Necromancer?
-If Warrior it will be Charr
-If Necromancer, what race?
-Norn or Human preferably (No Asura)

Ice outfits? The only outfit I can remotely think of as icy is Zodiac armor, dyed white. But it will turn his body blue where it’s exposed. Other than that, dye any armor white. You can go to your wardrobe at the bank or any crafting place and preview the armor there to get a look you like.

not exactly ice, icy to me means like white and a light blue, kinda like the warbrand armor charrs have. Also I just spent $10 on the character slot for him, so outfits in the store arent really an option.

Thief is actually quite easy, just get a decent build from Into The Mists. Not extremely supportive, but its great for roaming.

I’m absolutely tired of lazy sh*ts taking over my Gold Boss Blitz Taxi, and calling it theirs. They are too fuc*ing stupid to create their own godd*mn taxi and get tips from that; instead they take control of my party, and take my tips…..

I honestly would go for the incinerator, i think that other daggers look better. id go for a engineer legendary.

Glad I gave the link, our tastes are quite different it seems. If you click on the Armor’s names there will usually be a preview code (copy + past into a whisper to yourself) so you can check out how combinations would look on your toon and in the colours you’d like.

i mean, i might just go with t2 armor….. then get radiant gloves, still the ascended helmet looks awesome. I just dont have enough time to get the halo or i would.

The only Angelic bits I’ve seen so far is bits of the Cultural T2 (bulky) and T3. Caudecus’s Manor helmet looks Angelic in my nieces option, so she forces me to write it down. Zodiac and Phalanx get a special mention, first one since some might find it Angelic with the right pieces to go with it and Phalanx because I think it dyes lovely in Celestial, fits the t3 human shoulders (second most Angelic piece for heavy, imo) and the Dwanya backpiece (most Angelic piece in the game, imo.) Phalanx goes for female only, maybe.

Since opinions differ, I had the same plan for Guardian (Genesis + Angelic look) and ended up with: Halo, hidden Helmet, T3 Shoulders, Phalanx Chest/Leggings, T3 Boots (unsure about those) and I’ve yet to decide on gloves, currently HotW one. Would go for the Dwanya backpiece, but it can’t be infused, which I find an issue.

Hey, I just made a thief and used my bday present.. im currently now lvl 23-25… I didnt 100% any place yet but lions arch. I really have trouble levelling all the time. It took me a while to get both my mesmer and guardian to 80. Can someone just help me get levels fast?

Also, I need a good thief build. I plan on using him mostly for WvW and would like to sustain but also do tons of damage. A good build would be nice.

^this is just terrible armor choice, the OP obviously has a better looking set. Anyways..lol. I still have the same shoulder skin as you, strangely enough I also used the same colors as well, gold and silver. Though I used a darker yellowish color (think it was called Dijon). But thats where the similarities end, I had greyish/red hues for my armor. Now since my armor is all black, my shoulders are complementary hues of grey.

For armor set choices I would suggest 1st looking at the dungeon armor sets, some are very nice for human. CoF armor especially, I used to wear that because it looked soo cool. Though your endgame would probably be temple/order/cultural armor with a splash of any living story sets you happen to like. As it was for me.

dungeon armor to me is just boring, some of it looks decent but for the time and effort its utterly disgusting

If you can afford (assuming you bought it) Bonetti’s Rapier, then gold-like dyes should be nothing :P Concerning the set, I’m not for the barbarian look, but it isn’t terrible. Like many others, I don’t like the shoulders at all though. I believe that a good combination of dyes can make any set look decent at the least. If you intend to keep with this set, I’d mess around in the dyes rather than armor pieces.

The fire elemental was made harder and that was ArenaNet’s intention. The old version of this boss fight had no danger at all. You shouldn’t expect these world bosses to simply be about DPS as they were before. You all need to learn how to avoid its attacks etc. This is no bug, neither is it impossible seeing as you managed to defeat it.

I think this is a little extreme, like seriously the tornadoes come the entire way out of its spawn and wont even allow people in to fight it

I went to do fire elemental with a couple of my friends, we were all level 80 and had 2 ranged and 2 tanks. When we got there, there were about 3-5 other people that were above the level needed (15). WE ALL DIED!!!!! Wtf, now apparently the Fire Elemental has been buffed to kitten. When we tried to go across the bridge back in we got annihilated by its tornadoes that it spawned OUTSIDE of the area. Ya that’s right, it spawned tornadoes on the other side of the bridge where it was “safe” before.

*We did finish it, the reward was garbage

Short of Crafting (which requires some money), the best XP in the open world are the Renound Hearts. Use your staff to move quickly (as you can) from Heart to Heart and do them as fast a possible and you will advance fairly quickly. This will also give you lots of waypoints to go back and clear the areas later.
