Op is trying to troll, talking all big for JQ when all they do is gain PPT in OCX and EU whilst getting embarrassingly stomped NA timezone.
Why? It’s easy pulling noobs to there deaths
What you said is true, no doubt people abuse that system but spectating games did help me a out a little bit, especially watching the rank 80’s play, I copy people’s style at first and then develop my own. Spectating isn’t all necesarilly bad, not everyone is naturally good at pvp, some of us need to watch.
Don’t even bother, Anet doesn’t care about the PvP/WvW community, suggestions are ignored. Anet makes their money off of PvE not PvP so logically, why would they care?
you can always use the other exit
There isn’t a class that can stomp everyone. An example would be a Necro fighting a Warrior, the Warrior may always win the 1v1, however their are certain Necro builds that counter certain Warrior builds. This can be said for every class.
It also depends on the player’s individual skill obviously. So in theory every class can duel 1v1 and be successful, it just depends on your class, build and individual skill you have. This is why it is hard to answer this question.
After playing Solo Q for a while now I have come across some issues that happen game after game. Basically the team with the most Engineers/Rangers will win most of the time. Warriors not running Hammer/Bow will have a hard time. If you aren’t running a cheap build, such as MM Necro & Turret Engi . . . etc, then you won’t win or rather you will have a very hard time in winning. A team with 2 or more Mesmers is another broken thing because the spam of clones is just a little bit too much for some players, so the match results in a loss.
- So I want to ask, does playing SoloQ define whether you are a good player or not, considering the match-ups are so random in regards to which classes you are matched with/against.
I know i’m not the best pvp’r, however when I do tpvp with an organized group I tend to do good and win more than I do in SoloQ.
I like to compare WvW with coffee. When were kids, the majority of us hated coffee nor had interest in it, as Adults we love coffee and are dependent on it. Of course it’s just a metaphor, but what im trying to say is, just because you didn’t like it before, you might like it now
give it a few more chances.
Hey so I decided to come back to this game after about 10 months of not playing. I was wondering what is the new meta. When I was playing then, warriors and guardians were the go to classes, is that still the case?
- I’m mostly talking about for PvE not PvP
lol. people complain that they are no players and then where they are too many players people complain.
I agree, I am very lazy to minimize gw2 then going on internet to gw2lfg. It made no sense not putting LFG in gw2.
i like warriors for pvp, really good dps and tanky, and I like them for pve, I enjoy playing warrior
Then people wonder why people quit this game.
GW2 really needs more game modes, I don’t imagine it being hard to put in Team Arenas or Random Arenas. Simple just kill the other team is what’s needed.
Yes and people still like to argue that the game’s population is growing instead of dying.
I mean just face the fact that the game is not doing well although it is a fun game. Players are quitting and very few new players are rising. There are many testimonies of people taking a break from this game a for a month or two then coming back and seeing next to no one any where.
And from my experiences from guesting, most servers don’t have many players in the mid level areas.
you can’t have an elo system when there is few players. In league of Legends the ranking is perfect because of the amount of players it has.
It’s an expansion of course they would want money for it. I won’t mind paying.
LOL NO! if it had more players than I wouldn’t mind. But with gw2 low populations and the game just slowly dying I will just quit if they put a subscription fee and I know they won’t do such a thing.
Well increasing it is better, you have more things to do. What you want to keep grinding dungeons over and over again at level 80 ?…
hopefully a nerf to thieves -_-
Yes it is very expensive, 35$ to buy gems to transfer.
That’s why I deleted all my characters and transferred worlds for free.
And by deleting your characters you will be able to transfer servers free of charge and you will keep items and gold in your bank. On top of that your pvp rank DOES NOT reset and nor does map completion.
and thanks for the answers guys
I appreciate it.
It isn’t like transfers are expensive, your levelling time (even on the welfares) would offset and perceived savings – it would only be free if you consider your time as worthless.
But no idea to answer the actual question.
lol it is 1800 Gems to transfer to “Very High” server, that is 35$ just to transfer to another server, I’m not exactly poor but I am not going to spend $$35 to go to another server
I loved gw1 and I am still new to gw2, I haven’t reached level 80 yet and my pvp rank is 10. I kinda won’t mind starting over.
CAN I Transfer to another server?
Will the transfer be free of charge?
I read on the gw2 wiki that by deleting all your characters you are free to choose a different server. Is this true, and has anyone tried it?
Bonus Question : If I am able to transfer freely will I be able to keep stuff I have on my bank? Such as gold and items?
:(
Chain events bug. They are not appearing. >:| I play on SoS server.
I just got my character to level 45 and I’ve been looking for areas that have chain events. I looked up some guides online and they all send me to the same place, such as Harathi Hinterlands, Blood Tide Coast, FireHeart Rise, etc.. those are supposedly the main places where people go for chain events. I play on SoS server and there is a bug in Hinterlands chain event, the events are just not showing up. So I went to Blood Tide Coast, this place was so dead, almost no one was there and no one was at the chain event area. Then i ran to FireHeart Rise, and again no one was there. This is my first character, I bought GW2 a week ago. Is the PVE dying? or is this game just dead?
