My mouse icon disappears when I adjust the camera with the click and hold motion. I can move the mouse around and can see wen it selevts, say an NPC, but the mouse arrow is not there.
This has seemed to be an on and off problem and I do not know how to solve it.
I have replaced the batteries in my Magic mouse, and that sometimes fixes it but sometimes not.
Edit: I plugged in a generic mouse and the problem did not go away. I also made sure there was nothing other than the finder in the background.

It is not my fault your position is contradictory. If the points don’t matter then why focus on the unfarenss of a point change. How is the distribution of something with no meaning a matter of fairness? How would changing of points spoil your fun if you do not care about points? Your position would only make sense if points are a relivant aspect of the game.

Some people are playing just to get gold; like a high score in pacman. I can assure you that gold in GW2 has an intrinsic value of zero.

The hot new business model in today’s games is making them grindy. So much so that some people would be willing to pay real money to reduce the time it takes to grind.
Imagine that. Make your game suck so bad and so boring that you give your players a convenience option in exchange for money.

I have nothing against RNG, but those chests are just insane. Bought a bunch of keys when the dreamthistle weapons came out, and then realized I would have been so much better off just exchanging gems for gold and buying the skins off the TP.

And how is a server that does not have a large night population “not trying”? They just lack people that play at that time.

I’ll say again, played necro for over a year and never had a problem with grouping or dungeons. As far as my experence goes, this is a myth.
Amiavamp is a bit pessemistic there.
Necromancers have a larger base health pool than guardians, plus they also have deathshroud to soak up damage on top of that. It is true you don’t heal while in deathshroud but, that does not make anybody elses wealing less as he seems to imply.
Necros only overwrite other’s fields if they run a wells build and if they cast over other’s fields.
Guardians have subpar AoE (IMHO) compared to a condi necro with epidemic, and are much more effective at clearing out non-boss mobs than guardians.
Necro’s are a debuffing class that is built around taking damage and slow attrition at range (for the most part). Guardians are a buffing class builit around healing and melee damage (for the most part). Both are good classes. It just depends on if you want to buff your party (mostly defensive buffs btw) and melee most of the time or debuff the enemy at a range. The greatest utility for any group is killing the enemy effectively, buffs, debuff, etc., aside. Both get the job done.
BTW, I have worked up to mid 30’s fractals with my necro and have never been kicked from a party once.

Scarlet is kinda bleh. When I saw her in the new fractal, it was like, “Oh shere is here again. Oh well.”
It is hard to get buyin for a character when you have no idea who she is or why she does anything.

I doubt Anet intended anyone to be able to do it during Halloween. The merchant is permanent so you will be able to get the bag and the mini after Halloween is over, either by harvesting candy corn from the node in your home instance, buying it on the TP, waiting for future Halloween events or some combination of those.
Personally I don’t know why anyone would bother with the bag because you’d be better off selling the candy corn and buying another 20 slot bag on the TP, but I’m relieved about the mini.
(And in answer to the original question I’ve gotten about 1,700 so far. The first 1,000 went for the mini Carlotta and I’m now working on the Bloody Prince.)

- We haven’t been able to figure it out because we’re given no or next to no hints about what she’s trying to do. And that’s one of the biggest issues with Scarlet – the story is so drawn out that we get one chapter a month (even though it’s 2 updates a month, the second update is either a continuation of the chapter or unrelated), and so little story in those chapters. Anet compared it to a book, that by the time of the Bazaar of the Four Winds were were only at the end of chapter 1. That is six months for one chapter’s worth in comparison to a novel. Too little, too slow.
I think this is the key. If this were a novel or a comic the amount of material so far would compromise the first few chapters or the first few editions of a run. But its been six months.
I think Anet’s writers plotted this thing out, with a full (to be generous) potentially interesting story arc. The problem is the timing of the plot is all off. Anet is still giving us encounters when answers are called for.
Scarlet could be a great villain but so little has been sketched in over many months time, it is easy to say there is nothing there. All the players have seen, on one side is a kind of crazed, petulant genius child, but on the other she can bring desperate factions together run large pirate bands, etc. There is noting much connecting those two sides of her.
Some of you complaining should be thankful that candy corn isn’t above 1 silver. I want to take all of your veteran gold so that I can actually help my realm in WvWvW. Silly weapon skins mean nothing anyways.
And WvW ranks mean that much more . . . (hint it’s a game)

She became disillusioned with what being born Sylvari meant. Being born with a dream to follow, with little to no choice in the matter, other than becoming Nightmare and being hated for it.
The sylvari character storyline belies this. The dream seems to be a guide. A sylvari’s life is not set by the dream as Scarlet perfectly demonstrates. Her own life is a refutation of her premise.
She wasn’t just some “instant genius who excelled at the Asuran colleges and was suddenly a genius.” She worked hard, she persevered, she pressed for every grain of knowledge she could. Scarlet is dedicated, and dangerous.
So the sylvari firstborn are 25 years old (see http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pale_Tree).
Scarlet is not a first born and does not seem to be a second born. Where did she find the time to a) learn and b) master all the things listed by the OP, each one of which seem to take a lifetime to do?

Besides, villagers rarely win even if people didn’t purposely kill themselves at the start. People killing themselves at the start does not put you at a disadvantage. It’s so easy for a ghost to find a villager and kill them.

Calm down man, you can just buy the staff on the trading post and not bother with the recipe. It costs 200gp. That’s NOTHING. 200gp is not some huge unattainable amount of gold. Its like a week of farming at frostgorge 2 or 3 hours a day. Its a month of playing the game normally. If the idea of working up 200gp is miserable to you, you should count yourself lucky that 200gp is ALL your favorite skin costs.
I guess we are playing differnt games. I have never made 200g in a month playing normally. I guess your normal and mine are differnt.
Anyhow I was looking forward to the gift of Spiders this year and will probably not get it. Becaused of the increased cost. I simply can not afford it.

It’s not perfect (sometimes lags a bit), but their AI clearly is better then pet AI. Wich is kinda ridiculous.

I don’t mind the grind for the recipes if it were possible to do in the time allotted, but you can’t. It is just that one can not grind that much stuff.
These things suck. Requires too much effort and cost to obtain. All of the higher grade Halloween item do. I am assuming this is an attempt to clean out the TP of these items but this isn’t a good way to do this. As the prices goes up people stop buying or cant afford. And things like the 20 slot bag are ridiculous. it would cost like 70 gold or something to buy all the mats needed as I will never farm 15,000 candy corns and they don’t drop enough! I can make a 20 slot bag for a little over 10 gold or buy one for like 12. So for the same amount of money I can almost deck out a entire character in 20 slot bags. Very bad design!
Agreed. There is no way to farm enough mats for any of the recipes.
Perhaps this is a way to get more wealthy types to spread the wealth?

Well you as a ranger can equip a GS, but what about the allmighty Thief. What we get is a legendary with cool effects and that’s it. Even scepters get more love than daggers.
Not by much though. GS get too much skin love.
As a point of order, Randomness does not always mean that you will get roughly even amounts of each map, Things like the OP is describing can happen in a random system.
That being said, is the rotation random or in a certain order? I never noticed either way.
With the changes I was thinking about doing more of this but I am not sure how to leave without incurring Dishonor. Would you leave before the match starts?

The Boz – obviously has a necro condition op class and he does not want his lolipop to be stealed from him.
Boz has been pretty open in other arenas about the issue. He is usually pretty reasonable, but does not suffer . . . well you can finish that sentence.
It’s this obviously that is getting me. Prove it or go home.
Too many people have jumped into a new necro, gone to hotjoin and smashed people, then made posts about it. Somehow people who did the same but had less win did not bother to post their experiences.
All I hear on this issue is people just saying it is so or citing some video or a few hours playing Necro which do not show anything.
Those of us that have played Necro quite a bit try to bring our experience to the table, pointing out misconceptions or places people are just plain wrong, and we are dismissed as “wanting our lollypop”.

More often than not I will face teams that have absolutely none of these.
Just like necros before the patch, from what I understand. I wish it was not so, but that is the game as it is and it sucks if your favored class is on that list. The problem is that there are a limited amount of roles and certain classes fill those roles better, patch to patch. It should not be this way. Every class should have a place to shine that is valid and good, but ArenaNet has not gotten there yet.
Listen it all comes down to your underlying assumption: bunkers should not be able to die in 1v1 (therefore we need x), which is just plain wrong.
Most bunker builds spec to mitigate direct damage. You can spec, through traits, utilities, runes, sigils, etc. to mitigate condi damage too, but its a tradeoff. What I see now is people are not making those tough tradeoffs.

Really the idiocy of some people defending condition damage and its lack of a direct counter baffle me.
People can disagree without being disagreeable. Just sayn.

It looks like you did not catch my edit, so lets give it a try:
Put a condi cleanse on your bar and use it with some modicum of intelligence and bunker away. To be really pedantic, try looking at Melandru’s runes, and there is a sigil or two, and probably some traits that will help. You have to take condi as seriously as you take direct damage. You have to figure it into your build and take some tradeoffs for goodness sake.
The reason why people are whining so much about condi builds is that they refuse to do that, understand the threat and adapt accordingly.
Or perhaps your build and playstyle is particularly susceptible to conditions.
I would add there are combo fields (Light) that can help too, though I do not know if the mesmer has access to them off had.
Having looked at your build, Mantra of Resolve is a loser vs current state of things, no question about that, but other cleanses are better for other classes. Mesmers might not be able to bunker well vs condi’s now.
As I stated before cleansing abilities and traits need to be better and more accessible. An extra stat to add into the mix (think amulets) will just water down things.
Necros DO have counters.
