Really enjoy GW2, however, there were a couple things that stopped me from playing for the most part over the last month or so.
1) Lost Shores event issues
2) Lack of guesting
The lack of guesting is probably the main issue for me (among a couple minor things un-noted) as everyone I know who still plays the game that I ‘would’ be playing with refuses to switch servers (as do I as I am on a high pop server), so I got bored of playing solo.
Take careful notice how everyone who does ‘not’ support this thread lack any cohesive argument and some of them can’t even spell.
They are the ’looser’s’ if you ask me :P
Back on topic, I agree with OP and hope something is done to remedy the situation.
Somewhere lingering between 2 and 3.
Agree with OP’s idea. It would definitely consolidate my current concerns and alleviate much of the tension over rewards from the event. Please do the right thing Anet.
^ This guy has ZERO clue what he’s talking about.
How about giving us a good opporunity to experience the content we paid for and not fencing it off to a select group of players?
Meow.
Whine whine whine. This is the extent of your post. You didn’t get a precursor (neither did I), cry some more.
Well I think I have to point out what a well thought out rebuttal this is.
/sarcasm off
Yes it is, but the problem is not EVERYONE got something even close to that value. You either got $250 or $2.
I am okay with this as the chances of getting loot for some and not for others is already in the game everywhere, so I do not believe this should be an issue, however, I do believe you are right in the fact that they could have ‘tweaked’ the chances for different rewards slightly.
I don’t even want to touch the pre-cursor as a reward issue with a 10-foot pole as I haven’t really made much of an attempt at them yet (therefore I am not qualified to complain :P )

We wanted to be a part of the content for whatever reason and couldn’t during ‘X to X’ time and are now many of us feel handicapped because of the miss out on rewards.
Another valid point Anet.
Please, help us help you. We want to play this great game of yours; you promised us we would not be at any big advantage for time constraints. I know you want to reward players for one time events with goodies players will appreciate but can you cut us a little slack for the people who aren’t in your ‘mean’ population. Pun intended.
I would have really loved to just ‘participate’ in the event
Agree with the fact that after this weekend more people will be leaving than joining.
Also, some people got 2 or 3 chests worth of rewards (yes – 2 or 3 20-slot bags + all the exotics) while some did not even get to participate once.
Yeah if they don’t let us repeat the last phase I know a lot of people who will be very permanently angry; including myself.
I support a re-run of the event.
I’d really like to hear from just ‘one’ person that missed/bugged out on the content and is telling people to not complain, because I have this CRAZY theory that the people telling others it’s ‘no big deal’ are the ones who got the rewards, if it’s no big deal you wouldn’t mind paying for my 20-slot bag then?

I don’t like having my hundred’s of hours of hard working gameplay undermined in 2hr by something I was not allowed to access/access fairly easily.
Even if someone didn’t get an RNG drop, they still decided to give out a 10g+ bag and 3+ exotics/rares, easily 12-15g+.
Wait wait, let me guess Celeras, you got the chest right?

What DJSkittles said.
Couldn’t agree more, do you really need to give so much loot for a one-time event that’s extremely short? You may have picked a ‘peak’ time for players, but that still leaves a good chunk of people out in the cold, keep this up and it will hurt your numbers I guarantee.

Extremely dissapointed in the event:
-massive lag during any big fight
-quest chain was bugged and was not able to finish
-got called away to work for a little over 2h when the event started and when I came back every overflow was either finished the boss event or full up in the overflow
advice:
-don’t do ‘one time’ events – and for some awful reason if you really need to, make it accessible for more than a few hours so people have a chance to do the event, perhaps the whole day? is that so much to ask?
summary:
For a game that I feel I should enjoy quite a lot I am less and less compelled to play everyday and when things like this happen I just don’t even know why I bother sometimes. 600h+ gametime and in 2h you just killed a lot of that.
Anet but I realize you want to make it a one-time event but why do you have to do it for such a limited time during the day? If your not there for that interval then that’s it? Thanks, I think I’ll be playing less now, I feel like I was just punished.
Over 600h game-time but the 2h I’m not there I get screwed.
Can someone invite Thaiden please?
^ What he said. 100% agree, upfront damage is WAY too high for a class with the ability to go stealth 90% of the time.
Fought against a thief in WvW who used this to be stealthed 90% of the time. He could not kill me and I stuck on him for about 5 minutes (I used everything from bursting him down to tonnes of AoE) but EVERY time he would get low on health he would just go stealth and stealth and stealth some more. Even with AoE he always managed to blink away even while crippled and would be healed by the time he came out of stealth again.
Definite problem. Please fix A.S.A.P.
Yeah, the racial’s feel underpowered. At least they could lower the cooldown’s maybe? Just an idea.
If you think GW1 pvp was more balanced than GW2, go play it. You’re still giving Anet your time/money :P
To each his/her own.
p.s. if you need proof of what Anet thinks is a better system, just look for the Guild Wars with the number ‘2’ after it. Simple math, 2>1
Well, I think we can all at least agree upon the fact that the TP could use more information, such as the full item sale tax and sold item prices clearly displayed and organized.
Unfortunately I have to agree with illgot and Dishconnected here as your first proposal would need some modifications to actually make a ‘positive’ overall difference to the health of the marketplace. Although in theory any items sold on the TP would always make a profit, the end result of this would actually lower buyer frequency – as people who would normally buy the undervalued items to clean them off the TP would now possibly consider getting them through alternative means, thus causing inflation of the items that will now sell less then if the value was slightly under the merchant.
However, I do agree that ‘something’ needs to be done; as the more time progresses the more some items will become inflated and the TP will generate less and less profit for the average person.

Ty for posting that vid. It looks like my group was ‘very’ bad on DPS, problem solved :P
@Apathy “If you are dying an obscene amount of times in dungeons”
Which I never stated, point invalid.
@Zefiris "You are in this group. I don’t mean this badly or to offend you, and it’s not your fault, but you truly are not “above average”, but “below average”. "
I don’t mean to offend you but the amount I care about your opinion is “below average”.
Whether ‘you’ think I am a below average gamer or not is irrelevant, ‘I’ am the one stating my situation and ‘I’ am the one telling you my parameters for that situation; other people (including yourself) are not allowed to say that is false unless you have actual evidence (speculation does not count) to back up your statement – in this case you do not; therefore, my point still stands.

Couldn’t agree with the OP more. I consider myself an above average player; I made my first attempt at AC (level 80 warrior) with 2 friends (level 80 + 30) and 2 other pugs (level 33 + 37) where the health of the mobs was far too high for us. Perhaps the people I was playing with were horrible, but within reason you’d think the two 80’s might balance things out, but no.
I understand if you want to make mobs hit hard or have certain skills to increase the base difficulty, but if I had to compare dungeons to WvW, it’s like beating on a door to a keep with no siege equipment.
Sure you have to roll around a bit etc. but that’s not my complaint; it’s the fact when something becomes monotonous because you’ve done it for the past 1-2 minutes, for every single mob. IMO in it’s current form, it’s just ‘not’ fun.
I enjoy a challenge and I will wholeheartedly admit there are parts about dungeons I love (setting, environmental stuff, etc), however, the mobs are not one of them.
Also, on a side note, I found some of the bosses (i.e. the ranger one) are easier than the stock mobs – less health and dps – which makes no sense to me. Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention, the rewards are horrible.
