No, it isn’t like an account restore after being hacked. If CS helps you they will swap the mistaken item with the one you meant to get. You won’t lose any progress.

Please implement a undo purchase feature for npc merchant, sometime people accidentally buy something that they did not intent to. ie. wasted 4 hours farming 1000 bandit crest and purchase the wrong armor box, rather frustrating.

Nope!, I gave up on this game 6 months ago and so glad I did!. Huge fan of GW1 played for 6 years, GW2 isn’t what I imagine it to be aka boring with very little feeling of accomplishment (except for fractal level 50 before they lower the level).

Yep just hit the wall a few day’s ago as well. Spent whatever money I had on gambling for the heck of it. Stop logging in; even gave up on the daily. No point logging in and staring at the monitor and asking myself silently “why am I even logged in”.

I’m a pretty big supporter of the Guild Wars franchise. I played GW1 a lot and spent probably even more time on GW2 over this past year. Hell, the amount of money I spent on gems is probably close to a grand. I don’t take it back and I know the money will go to support future players, rock on to that.

Recently I was playing and stopped to look at the new SAB achievements. Something just clicked and I’m now confused, demoralized and fear playing GW2 because I feel manipulated.

I played this game because it was a breathe of fresh air. It was fun to explore the world and finish my storyline, try dungeons for the first time and get a taste of what there was. Yet now that I’ve gotten my share of the gameplay, my whole perspective changed without me recognizing it until too late. My focus on GW2 became a constant, almost robotic, effort to keep my AP high and get the top gear so I could prance around with cool armor etc.

Yet is that really why I enjoy this game? So I can waste all of my time on something that’s actually 100% irrelevant and does nothing but promote my ego? Sure I understand the sense of pride and enjoyment from “winning”, yet it feels so stereotypical and even deceptive when the primary focus is achievements and not gameplay.

Now keep in mind that I’m not an MMO player. Guild Wars has been the only MMO franchise I’ve ever played. So I’m not aware of how end-gaming works. Yet I can certainly tell you that it doesn’t feel right at all.

When I play console games, like say Resident Evil or Mass Effect, there’s an end to the content and yet I can easily find myself wasting a ridiculous amount of hours to continue playing. Why is that? Because the gameplay is that darn entertaining.

That same feeling doesn’t exist in this game and I feel hurt. If this is how a truly phenomenal MMO is supposed to be, then I’ve got to quit. It’s turning me into a machine where I lose all dignity and drop loads of cash to create the illusion that I’m having fun, when in reality, all the items I’ve gotten have done nothing but make me feel worthless. Everyone has what I have, they all think like I do, where we all feel like we’re the best… just ego-stroking nonsense.

This isn’t a video game. It’s a community of sheep, all playing the same cash crop of lies where worth is determined by gear and achievements. That in itself just spits on any foundation this game may have had since it’s very inception.

I honestly just don’t feel right playing this anymore. If I can even call it “playing”.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Am to slowly feeling that way. Question myself as to why I even bother logging on each day to do the daily? so that I don’t miss out on a laurel; but for what? Finding myself self logging on less and less with each new patch that is suppose to be “fun”.

Wasted so much time gearing out the best ascended MF trinket including the +20% infusion; and all that is dismissed with a cheesy option to select the stat of my choice. you got to be F’en kidding me right? Anyone else feel like they’ve just been robbed?

Not sure what happen to the last thread that had a dev answering the question regarding rare salvage for ecto. anywho I think there maybe a bug. Noticing that I’m not getting any ecto as I used too. It is mostly T6 mat from salvage, and if there is it probably be 1 ecto at most, sorry to repost an old thread. anyone else getting more than 1 ecto from salvage?

Do you pretty much just run Dungeons ? Share some of the things you do with your character when you’ve completed the map and personal story.

Run your favourite dungeon until you are dead sick of it. Then run fotm until it become pointless. Then start farming mob in the world map until anet nerf all farming to kingdom com. Then again only orr was worth farming. But that is done with. Log off

Sounds like a very fun idea and rather depressing at the same time. This game has becoming so difficult to obtain anything in a reasonable amount of time that people are resorting to such measure. What ever happen to the guild wars that we all enjoyed so much at launch.

T6 mats rising in price?! omg this is shocking!!, well not really, all the whiners got what they wanted. Anet stopped all Orr farmers in their track. Hope their “casual play and I’d don’t need to farm and you shouldn’t be either attitude” making them enough money to buy the mats for whatever it is they wanted.

ha and no one believed me when this first incident occurred with pent/shelt stealth nerf back in november. it was all a maintenance patch and nothing more, but yet drop on rare was dramatically decreased. everyone flamed me saying “but it was not in the patch note, your crazy” talk about bad business ethic. expect more bending over and getting the shaft.

your right, but farming is an optional thing that some ppl DO like to do, why alienate them.

man i spent so much gold in getting my guardian from level 0 – 80 on crafting to farm ML so i can make my legendary, now that ML is gone, guess i’ll have to kiss that legendary good by

1. True the kick still happen but its half of the time wasted as opposed to entire time when reached last boss.

2. Gw1 used this system and it worked very well

3. Not entirely true. Had a run where one individual said they need to afk for 5 min due to emergency and 1 other individual decided to vote kick over 5 min. And no the rest of us refused to 2nd the vote.

And yes i do agree on a more prominent prompt to notify other player of such action.

Not sure if this has been suggested but i’ll post anyway. Tire of seeing people getting the grief in dungeon and time wasted. Having been a victim myself (not recently) but never the griefer. Here are a few suggestions to anet:

1. Kicking option become unavailable after a certain progression in the dungeon has happen. Example the team is half way through the dungeon or on 3rd fractal round.

2. Remove kicking entirely in dungeon run.

3. If a individual is kicked. The team is not allowed to invite anyone else making the team live with the decision and try to beat the dungeon with 1 person short.

4. Kicking require vote of all 4 members instead of 2.

If anyone got any other viable suggestion lets hear it.

Or, you could just play the game and not worry about the forums. If DR’s were removed, that’s where I would be.

Other than that, you can take your own advice and log off the forums if you don’t like it.

You see, real adults, mature adults have a responsibility to care about things. They discuss problems and find solutions no matter how difficult it is.

Anyone else need to get Obsidian Shards from Temple of Balthazar? I’m looking to form a 5 man team to take it back on Yak’s Bend server. I was told its possible to do it with 5 man, can anyone confirm and if so anyone interested leave a post, and we can set up a time to meet in game.

less and less people are heading into orr area or even bother to do any of the temple event. would be nice if we could get the temple to reset let say weekly to be under pact control.

With the nerf in loots, making money has become rather difficult. I would rather pretend I didn’t see anything than to report. That will give the company something to compete against.

every patch so far fixed something, and bugged something, like seriously is there no quality control? spent a good hour (which usually take me 15-20min) to get to the EB JP Colosseum, finally there more jump bug then get merc by enemy camper, this game is getting more and more frustrating with each patch.

Anyone know if the chest in the EB JP is account bound or soulbound? I got chest on my main char and after switching to my alt, it show that chest was open.

Maybe a non combat zone?, rather hard for some of us who aren’t set up for combat and just there for the JP, or even on server where not many do JP and you got enemy camping in the shadow waiting to merc you.

pent/shelt, dungeon. with dungeon doing all 3 path can net you about 3g.

actually it doesn’t work out that well, did it with guildie, the process is longer because sometime he get the heart done faster than I can and vice versa, so it slow down progress.

it has to be on different piece of armor, not on same piece.

example: 2 rune, 1 on helm, 1 on shoulder pad = 2/2, not both run on one piece of armor

because this system you talk about is just a week old, and this forums is full of people like you. trolling about the new patch. IF you knew A-net team a little better you KNOW they will adress this issue and WILL fix it! just give it more time then 24 hours after the patch.

Not gonna bother arguing, in its current state the game is what it is, until any change or comment from the company. I will stand by that.

Don’t mean to be a troll, but he left WoW because of the gear grind. The new patch is “slowly” introducing that same system. Why hide the truth from him? Though I agree that a lot of thing said on this forum is incorrect, but some of them do have their merit.

As for twisted.4683 the game is great, just not right now for most of us right now in its current state. 3 month ago I could see myself playing this game for years to come. Don’t let what I just said discourage you, just letting you know what has happen so far.

If you have ever farmed Orr you would not make such a statement. And if you do farm Orr then you are lying to yourself. Everyone who farm there notice the nerf of drop both in quantity and quality.
