Stack all the baddies in one place then ignore/avoid them.

Or stack Maguuma again so they go to EOTM like they did before.

There is far too much CC, but there is also far too much access to potent, permanent boons, and far too much access to invulns and blocks/negation as well.

The way things are right now, you can’t kill people without locking them out of playing their characters, because most professions are just immune to everything and super mobile/reset-capable for good portions of every fight.

If they nerf CC, they need to nerf everything else.

And I’m not at all opposed to that.

I wholeheartedly agree with OP. Hard CC’s are just plain bad design and unfun gameplay. World of Warcraft did the same thing around Cataclysm and it almost killed their pvp scene until they nerfed it.

In WvW especially I feel these would be a QOL thing we can all get behind.

“Roaming” is not needed or wanted in WvW, and “Roamers” won’t accept that.

Scouting is needed, Camp flipping and Yak guarding is needed.

Having a cheese gank build to crap on people running back to a fight and doing a video with bad dubstep is not needed.

Let servers die. Bring in “Battlegroups” and be done with it. Clinging to servers in this time is redundant.

If you want to “tag up” to organize a group, that’s totally fine, also if you want to “tag up” to flip some towers and camps or Pip Train, just let Map Chat know what you are doing and try not to get in over your head (ie. Taking on a 15-20+ Guild group or attacking a YB T3 structure during prime time:))

Yet another example of how you punish those of us who won’t buy your crappy HoT expansion.

We are playing a gamemode that does not require an expansion pack to play in any of the maps and has NEVER required an expansion pack to play in any of the maps, but you want to use vital skills and abilities in WvW? Better pony up the money and pay for HoT or you will just be weakened more and more relative to other players who pay 4 skills.

First, you lock away Shield Generator use from those of us without HoT. Sure, we can “use” the item to keep the siege refreshed, but we can’t actually use ANY of the shield gen skills (and they are very important pieces of siege in wvw).

Now, you add insult to injury by leaving us grounded while HoT-owning teammates can just glide into structures while we have to run on the ground and get zerged down like a bunch of plebs.

The more vital skills you put behind a paywall, the more the gamemode becomes P2W. This is a gamemode that is (more or less) totally divorced from the content of the expansions. But, still, you link vital skills to those expansions and screw those of us who refuse to support your choice to carve up the game into walled skill gardens that require $$$$ to access them.

Now, more than ever, I won’t pay for HoT or the new expansion because I fundamentally disagree with how you willfully kitten those of us who refuse to buy your stupid p.o.s. expansions.

More and more reasons to quit the game again. Anet as a company has NO RESPECT for those of us who just want to wvw. It’s bad enough we don’t have access to new classes/elite skills/masteries, but now no shield gen use or gliding either. Lame.

The person in question hangs out near east Citadel exit on DBL. There’s a pocket far enough back that the legendary defenders won’t aggro you. They run their alt out, kill them, then afk.

And what about the people with multiple alternate accounts? having alternative accounts to begin with and being able to use them in such a way as to benefit a single account is EXPLOITATIVE. Then there’s the issue OP brings up about how difficult it is to actually report players in WvW, which has been an issue since the beginning.

Eventually this could get organized to the point where some servers only have DBL queued. I’d like to see a screenshot of that.

Nobody cares about GvG except the few small guilds that still cling to it and BoRP reks them all anyway.

That idea of a game mode died a long time ago, which was fine as it served zero purpose for WvW and just gave guilds a safe space with rules to fight.

Anet barely glanced at it as did most players.

Yes we had Pips and Yes there is a new Expansion coming soon, but….. its all to late. The WvW community isn’t as big as was at the start of the “Pip” update but the problem with that update it didnt bring much new content to WvW that people could enjoy in the moment. Even if there is a big WvW content update the population will struggle due to the neglect of content the last few years. (PvP received much more development over WvW and Pve which is a no brainer)

You cannot simply quantify people into a mold because people don’t work that way therefore the game will not work that way as it is people driven.
