Same happened to me yesterday and I have submitted a bug report.
Same here and each time find my character back in LA.
This is my favorite Living world story and yes back to Kryta . I love the map and the events as it feels like back home.
Thanks Anet
I have done lots of raids in other MMOs but in GW2 it just feel off and I simply don’t enjoy it.Throw me back in Vanilla WOW raid dungeon or any raid Boss from Ancient Port Warehouse from Vanguard (yes I played that game ) and I’m good to go.
I play GW2 because of its relax nature it is plain and simple.
Sounds like Primordus and Jormag handy work.
Same thing happening here.
Same problem here…telling me I’m in a cue.
Same problem here.
If you’re a capable player (or a player who doesn’t want to wipe every five minutes), you definitely start to adjust to HoT’s difficulty level. It doesn’t make it fun, in my opinion. It just becomes like every other map, only more tedious to traverse. It sucks to settle into doing events or helping people with hero point challenges when you have to run through a gauntlet of hyper-aggressive mobs no matter what direction you go in- slowing you down if you’re on foot and rendering waypointing impossible.
The keyword here is “Tedious”
I’m one of those people who can handle hard content but don’t like tediousness in MMO.And due to that I haven’t been in any HoT maps for almost a month.
Will you pre-order the next expansion? [Poll]

Simply put, NO !
Have been playing that game for 23 years so far, quit it recently. Too much Pay To Win, exploiters anti-gank guilds seem to be biased so yeah, screw it I stick to GW2 for now.
A friend of mine just had a brutal discovery on P2W.Some veteran players are buying a buff with a blue icon to have access to the copulation mini game and those who have been caught got their account under the wrath of the banhammer.
Got the same bug earlier today when I switched from Short Bow to Axe/Dagger.
Launcher crashed after downloading 25% of patch.
DH is so underwhelming and disappointing.I play a Guardian as main and playing as a DH is the opposite of what embodies the Guardian I have been playing for the past three years…it just feel like a lousy Ranger wannabe
As an all time Guardian player,I shall keep playing it without the specialization too.
It looks like a toad mouth with its tongue out.
Sorry that’s what I see.
Sell it to me, Anet, players, anyone. Tell me why I should spend my money on the expansion.
Be cause 50 or even 100 is not much for an MMO with no subs and you got 2-3 years of content usually for free aside from cosmetic fluff.
Pretty much
Please people. Dont waste my and your time by posting in a thread you didn’t read. I have specific concerns about the future of this game I want addressed. I also will not be paying $50 for 2-3 years of content because in the past 3 years anet hasn’t even been able to fix bugs in wvw or take care of it so that our rewards get inflated year after year like in pve, or so that the servers stay balanced, or anything- let alone new content. Basically the expansion would offer me a new class, specializations, and yknow maybe some other little things. But I’m also worried that when the expansion comes out, wvw will die if the new maps turn it into eotm 2.0, and then what reason do I have to even keep playing at all?
I think you’ve already made your decision.
I have 3 level 80 characters so I’ll have lots of things to spend my time to in HoT.I don’t feel the urge to grind and be there first,I’ll simply do it at my own pace and enjoy the journey there.
I’m not hyped but is really waiting for the adventure to continue. The reveal of the Reaper got me interested in Necromancer a class I tried only twice, one during Beta and the other time after the game went live and it was done for me.Now I have a level 33 Necro which I’m leveling.
Haha are you people actually having a cry over a test? Apparently nothing to good enough for you people! If you hate the way Anet runs their game kittening leave. just go. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. I find it crazy that idiots get worked up over something so trivial.
Indeed, quite a drama over such little things
I was expecting something more inspired for my Guardian like a Vanguard or something like that
I would be Human Guardian but would probably end up in jail for kicking Logan’s kitten to oblivion or I could date Queen Jenna and convince her to make Logan’s forget that I kicked his kitten and make him smell Rytlok messy underpants
One thing for sure,I will not Beta Test it because I want to discover the expansion while playing.
I miss that log in screen,I used to leave it on and listen to the music.
I’m using Tomes to level to 80.
If LA is rebuilt it should not be to its former beauty and glory but there should be something to reminds us of what happened.
I’m ready to summon my ancestors as a Revenant,so where’s the altar so that I can throw my money to get the expansion.
I’m really impress and I hope Anet take a look at your ideas.
Good job
Agreed with the others,Point of no Return is really well done and besides I’m a Returnee.
I have just one question for you guys.
Would you want to see more Jory/Kas or more Trahearne? I hate both equally, but.. I can’t tell which one is the lesser of the two evils.
What I would like/want is that Anet take some notes/advice from The secret World writers who are the best story tellers I have seen so far in an MMO.
I have one word Sandstorm :-)
Some dialogues are good and not that great but Kasmeer/Delaqua dialogues feels like two teens who have just discovered their sexuality.I was expecting more persona from them as they are seasoned fighters now but no it’s just like those teens TV shows.

I’m enjoying it.
Human Guardian : Valdur
Silvari Ranger : Tal Vazsha
Human Engineer : Kal Tormas
Nicely done,OP.
I understand and feel the same way as the OP.
I have been playing since Beta and enjoyed it but the game that Anet sold back then is no more, their priority concerning the game has changed, now it’s more about the gem store and insignificant LS,checklist.
I’m 49 and I have been playing games for quite sometime and guess what, my guild name is “The Older Gamers”.It’s never too old to play games.
The LS update vs. Expansion is actually a great example of some Human psychology.
People rather get a expansion ( A big amount of content at one time (and get one every year))
than
Get the LS (A bigger amount of content, but spread over a year)
It’s not the amount of content the problem,it’s just that the Living Story is not that living. The game has changed from MMORPG to MMO Achievements Online with each LS.
Agreed with everything said here,I log in this morning to find myself log out 15 minutes later.
I give up because I’m fed up ending on overflow each time.Just a few minutes ago Tequalt was about to spawn on Desolation and I got disconnected, log in a few seconds and end up on ^%*$# overflow.I tried to join my group and got the silly message to ask my friends to join me on overflow….really bright Anet.
You made my day OP.
Agreed with everyone here.I have had enough of the living story.
It’s not a matter of which game is better,it’s just how one’s perceive that game A is better than game B and people most of the time stick to what the are used to.
I’m fed up with the grind(mini game) and is definitely looking forward to a new approach.I want to do more things for my racial city.As a human there’s no reason for me to go to Divinity’s Reach or to my home instance.
I personally enjoy the mini games and jumping puzzles and think it’s somewhat strange to see people who say they DON’T play them, asking them not to be added. If they are added and you don’t play them, how does that affect you exactly?
Don’t forget there are a lot of people who are “completionists”. Using myself as an example, I don’t really like mini-games or jump puzzles, but have no problem with them being in the game when I can tackle them as quickly or as slowly as I wish. The problem with the constant temporary mini-games are we’re forced to focus on them immediately, and when they’re coming at you temp content after temp content… it’s no different from a completionist who may not run a lot of dungeons being tired of all the temporary dungeons (coupled with skins and achievements). Bottom line: I think people are tired in general of all the temporary anything with skins/titles/achievements. It’s good that there’s new content, but it honestly wouldn’t hurt to have downtime between each content release so people can catch up on whatever it is that appeals to them, especially when the playerbase tends to be more casual in nature.
That’s my main concern too, each two weeks I feel compelled to focus on the mini games so that I don’t miss the achievements which mean I don’t play the free world game anymore.
As much as I was overwhelmed by the dungeon of the previous living world update I must admit that this one has the opposite effect on me.Tried the solo dungeon and didn’t like it either but I ran the 5 man dungeon with my guild mates once and was done with it.
Did it with guildies on the first run, wiped once at the final Boss, learned from our mistakes and the second time it went smoothly.
The thing is the dungeon teaches you all the mechanics of the final fight.Everything that the player do is training ground for the final fight where you’ll have to deal with all the fight mechanics in a single encounter.Knowing your class and using the synergies of the other classes you are playing with can make your life easier.Adjusting your traits and weapons for a fight can make a big difference too.
Loved it from the beginning till the end,not too tough and yet not too easy,I guess this is due to the temporary state of the dungeon to allow everyone to enjoy it.
We had a lot of fun doing it and loved the Boss fight.
