I have windows 10 64bit, im using the 64 client i have 8gigs of ram.
My general options are reseted and also the bags view type (ie no bag shown) is reseted as well…. Im also using a second account in this pc.

Sadly. Yes they do; but its rare, very rare ( happened twice or tree times since HOT) & about minions commands : they might have the policy to not give us any; it would be an immense improvement to the quality of life & might also change minion-mancer pvp game-play.

Memory lane : wow warlock- loved when i could banish target 1 ; seduce target 2 ; fear target 3 & attack target 4 … but different game different game mechanic i guess :P

Even if they do attack on their own or you accidentaly attacked something you should have the option to back off your attack…..

-and its not a principle when they already had the ability to manually explode all of your minions or feast of em ,already in the necromancer in gw1…. they are bored of write a few lines of code ..thats it…no more excuses…

oh Btw that intended Trick with the transform potion does not work while in combat which make them more than half useless for what we need…

so basically to have a basic needed fuction of my class/spec i need to use an anti-exploiting cheap method of using a transform potion? (that actually it is an exploit of different nature) so…why only my class and not also rangers or engineers and their turrets?

yesterday I did NOT attack anything…mob did NOT see me…Nor seen my Minions and all of sudden my minions started by themselfs to attack the lich king skeleton at mad lab….. so… also the trick the other guy a few posts above that said to change a talent..works only out of combat..so its not really helpful enough….

Hmm.. I did’nt knew about this…although still thats really annoying and a basic control or de-activate button should be there in order to work like it should. There are really no excuses that after 3 years they haven’t bother to fix this issue… but they work their kitten of to balance a 0.0001% avandage through the different proffesions/builds etc. They don’t even bother to answer to that issue…but also i blame other necromancers that say nothing about it,and instead they prefer to go a different build….

I understand that for 3 years ago… things change though… at least give us a kill all button via f2 and possibly make them explode or feast their life (or lifeforce) like we could already do in gw1…. everyday i fall in new problems with pets.. apecially with the new shout that i can have dozens…….. fix!!!

PS: dont mention the moa of mesmer and engineer that destroy all of our minions without even triger their bomb cloud….

They do if mobs see them,even if you are a lot farther and normaly would avoid fight. Also the problem is not if they aggro on their own, but to be able to tell them to come back. When the team want to avoid a mob group and you cannot lose them cause pet is all around them… On skeleton boss on mad king lab… Minions destroy the fight all the time because we cannot bring them back or destroy em… And now tha tgeyvdie so hard is even worse for that kind of scenarios.. At dungeons many times minions keep attacking to some invulnarable mob/turret and then patrol mobs sees them and destroy everything… Technologically is possible and all the games with minions/pets had some basic control over them.. At least a stay pasive, come back attack… In similar situations at least they can destroy them….(like totem recall in wow)!

In this new content we need to have a control ui for our pets similar to ranger or even a bit more basic…at least to call back our pets and/or make them passive….. they tend to agroo everything and its really problematic on dungeons (raids?) and on events,speacialy on those with bosses that leech…. please make it happen asap!

I’m posting since release about command pet bar…even a very basic Attack/stop/comeback…. Still they don’t Want to listen…. So much potential on the strategy of gameplay that way..or to put it better just playable and not based on pure luck with the pets…..
We dont need Clever Bots…we Need Basic Pets that are listen to our will!

thats sucks… in other games i can still change the gama in game for windowed mode without the need to mess with my desktop colors. in order to see the game properly my desktop is like a stadium light !!! This need to be adressed asap!! either by ingame gama setting for windowed mode as well or either by doing the game more bright by client for the windowed mode.. fullscreen just sucks and its not an option at all.

i dont understand about all that fuss about DS… when the game launched when i wa falling from very high i was going in DS and i was dying… tried it many many times.. so how people say they were saved because of the DS? its something they had changed since release?

@ Softspoken.2410 -> Think it’s because people don’t think a swarm of floating weapons when they invasion the class, and necro usually has a lot bigger trait/elite skill cost.

As for my 2cents.

Either a ‘come back’ button. OR something like D3’s answer to WitchDoc minions, which is %AoE dam removed & max damage taken per hit.
That way they don’t die to aoe splash damage/can camp in fire circles without control. Also don’t get 1 shot.

I’ve also not got any qualms about PvP & PvE different rules. I’d be happy as with them dieing to aoe splash damage, but say having to be 2 hit by players.
Where as PvE, I think they should be able to hold there own in a dungeon. Even if they don’t pull threat/tank to keep it fair.

Another thing that would stop me pulling my hair out… Elite got wet and is now on full CD because I stepped in a puddle, or worse, left the starting zone on Raid on Cap.

It would also be very nice to have them ‘off CD’ on res. Even nicer to have them summoned for me. ‘Oh you res’ed, be without your elite for 1min’, seems a little unfair.

I totally agree on your points… At least a come back button for start would be awesome and ofc a stay or something… attack can remain automatic…although it wouldnt be optimal…
Elite being Wet despawn really annoys me as well…and even more the mesmer spell that make all my minions to get despawn and on their full CD…. i dont mind too much for the despawn but they should not trigger the full CD…maybe the 5 sec interaption at the most…

as it is now. to be perfect it needs controls thats it.. and im not in nostalgia of necro in GW1… I had a necro alt that is but nothing more and i didnt like it so much anyway.
GW2 as a game is different and things to work needs that tiny addition like in all other games.. it is a must

In EVERY game Necromancers/Warlocks/Summoners Consider Pet Classes…. and guess what they got Pet/minnion UI for controling them.. And with a Poor Minion AI there is NO EXCUSE that justify the lack of Control over Minions!

GW1 we had even less control. This isn’t WoW, this isn’t whatever other game you had in mind, this is Guild Wars, and the fact that you can even specify who you want your minions to attack is a step up from what we used to have.

How many minions u could have in GW1? and what CD u had to bring more? hmmmm……? necro in Gw2 is not step forward…is just mediocre necro class and partialy broken.

I haven’t had much issue (I am solely PvE so my opinion/experiences are far from tested). I usually keep shadowfiend out and use his ability or really any minion ability. If you target the enemy and use an ability they will all attack. Just my experiences though and it still isn’t perfect but it works about 98% of the time, which is good enough for me.

Its funny, I always thought rangers having pet UI was silly and Necros not having any to be weird.

Ranger Pets – Sentient beasts they tame to work with them. Creatures you would expect grow and learn with the trainer to eventually work with them. They form a symbiotic bond.

Necromancer Minions – Mindless creatures who were brought into the world to serve. They listen to their master and respond to their will without thinking.
This is how I always visualized it. Seems so awkward that they are backwards. Nothing against it, I mean you could twist those words to be what you will, but it is just how I see it. Minions are controlled and sentient beasts make their own decisions.

To be honest if Necro ever received UI for them, I think it would be neat for Rangers to have their pet AI adjusted. SImilar to Mags in PSO, where the beast uses skills on its own when the Ranger does. The pet could even work specifically to combo with the ranger.

Just my opinions and dreams.

It would be too hard to implement, for necros and guardians. Think about it, how would you control said UI f1-f4? well then what about death shroud? On a necro it may fit but on a guardian there is no way. I think thats the real reason the devs have not placed this in the system.

Dont get me wrong I want to have something like this for my necro, i really want to love my pets and i hope the devs do something but i dont think this is a plausible solution.

IMHO the biggest issue with pets viability is there survivability. I think if our “Minions” had a large 50-75% resistance to AoE dmg and an improved health regeneration (maybe through traits) that would go a long way to fixing our issues in PvE and WvW.

Also the Minion master traits are useless, honestly who cares about a little poison when your pet is dead…

The controls would be ofc Universal..u wouldnt have to control each minion seperatively.

And for some people that say we are not pet class well….i dont know if there is another class in game that can have 6 pets/minions at the same time..
We deserve Control over our minions. even more than ranger does.
And I dont mind about the guardians have control over their summon swords or whatever they got.

everything would be better with a basic PET UI. (Attack/Follow/stand — Passive/Defensive/Aggresive) Ofc if They obey accourately the commands.
With an UI even with the Stupid AI MM Necros could be playble on Dungeons and other pve/pvp activities (WvW guh guh) that now are useless and we need to respec.

ANET Developers Are you Planing to put in Some Pet Control UI in the Feature?
I wasn’t Playing for some months and I was Expecting till i get back i would see that nice add….
Pets are really stupid as they are now. and In sPVP/WvW enemys take advantage of that and luring them on terain and mess up with their AI.. It would be good if i could command them to come back to me. or attack this enemy or dont go to attack there just now cause there is a bloody deadly Well there or a catapelt is about to hit that enemy spot…
And most of all for the same reasons in PVE specificaly dungeons MM Necros is completely unplayble… Its Sad to be like that because of the lack of Control over the Pet.
In GW1 you didnt had ui as well but it was an old game anyway and you could very very easily create a bounch of more minions easily! now we have to stand that awful long CD.
Either Give us PET UI for the basic commands Attack/Follow/stand or Put OUT the CD on PETS completely… i wouldn’t mind if my pets die in a dungeon if i could make another one immidietly or in a CD of 5 sec.

It would be cool to have an official statement about it since its obviously you cannot improve the pet AI anymore..

I tried to oversee the bugs the minion ui..i even lvled 2 other proffesions…but now i feel like i cant even log in.. so ill take a break. me and my guildies will go back to WoW for some time ill catch up with friends and i will come back only when at least 90% of necro bugs are fixed…when population is re estabiashed and when necros minion have a simple control/pet ui.. till then bye everyone and good luck…

Hmmm without RL Cash being used for GW2 there would be no GW2. You want to use in game gold and never “pay” to play GW2 except for the initial game cost then expect GEMS to get far more expensive.

For people who buy GEMS with real life cash the higher the better. And i suspect ANET see’s it the same way. They would prefer people to use real cash to buy GEMS. And you dont “need” anything from he GEM store. everything is cosmetic and quality of life stuff.

ANET have to make some money some how.

ANET did earned more than enough by the box sales.. The gem store it would give them something extra in order for them to provide more “free” content. they said it..not me….What it is now though is Anet being greedy….. and that back fired so far… im praying not to be too late..cause the game otherwise is very nice and have huge potential……

they should put a cap on how low and how High the GEM exchange will be. Something like no less than 50copper/1Gem and not more than 1silver,50copper/Gem and play in that range according to the demand… as it is now its just thievery by their end. cause they nerf every possible way to earn Gold even for hardcore players that play all day and the store exchange goes higher and higher…how we suppose to buy gems with ingame gold now..? they were telling us that the gem store was only for some extra fluff things..but there are some essential things like the transmutition stones etc that we need to swap skins. i remember when they even told us that they could make it run with only buy2play… but in the reality they made a cash shop game that u even had to buy the box… and now they force us to buy with real money or grind like crazy at cursed shores for essential things that gem store has. no fun at all on that.. many people already gone..and now its difficult to do the “train dynamic events” at cursed shore… plus they have nerfed the plinx and other events respawn time… making gold earning even harder…. players are not dumb. i was about to buy more gems but now i dont think i will… me and my partner have already spend 350 euros for 2 accounts plus gems… thats more than enough. thats roughly 9 months of subscription for each of us.. or 18 months for 1. (exluding the box price on that calculation.)

instead of new content and besides the bug fixes they need to make lower and mid areas replayability… as it is now… every low/mid area is like empty almost all the times of day.,.. dynamic events dont work… i had the same issue today early morning even at ORR…. thats really bad…. we need more motivation to play.. rewards vise or whatever…to tell us make more alts… and try all the possibly fluff things is not the answer for end gaming… motivate people play on old areas everyday to spread the population and leave the new content aside.. we dont need more new areas and more spread out population.. maybe also they should consider the first server merges… new amount of content is not enough for luring new players and most certainly u cannot hold old ones as well…. besides all the “new content” is content that was on the fridge and was made to release it little by little..as new free content and/or because wasnt rdy with the launch…

i agree with OP !! We dont Want More content so fast… We want so fast to get BUGS elimination of the current Content.. i know u have multiple teams for each field… but u need to focus more on bug fixing. and also maybe do a nice daily server restart cause events always brake here and there…we had all ORR events broken for almost 5 days!! people quiting eveyday… today we couldnt complete several events cause we didnt have enough people and that wasnt on low or mid areas but in ORR…bug issues start to reflect in all the world now! you need to give more people to the bug team and limit alot of the people to the new content team. ITS not a personal opinion Its the opinion of almost everyone that have already left the game and or took a brake…

they said they have multiple teams dedicated for several things.. but so far we see only events to pop up and fluffy things… i havent seen bug/prof fixes for awhile…considering this i really doubt they gonna ever add a minion ui for necros…

Mounts should be in not only for the speed travel but for the looks. put different kind of mounts.some of em that can carry other players. also what is better of see the world alive with people using the world/roads for moving… now if they teleport the world on certain points seems empty and stale.. mounts would give alot of life around the world. plus if you are worried about the speed..you can always put mount speed like swiftness currently in game. but all the time. and ofc you can ban mounts from bgs and WvWvW if you think that the competitive nature of the game wouldnt be fair for all. but i cant see why you wont do that in the PvE enviroment… more things to do…more things to see… more content is plus.always.

I would love these aditions but also im looking for the Alliances of Guilds… Small guild parties to be in Big Alliances etc could be really nice.. i think there was something similar in GW1 and we also had an extra channel tha all alliance could share.

propably keep some goodies for feature content.. i would also like to see a Laso,Chains, that thing with the chain and a ball with spikes (i dont know the name), Wands, maybe twin globes (like panthro from Thundercats), and glove weapons.. like gloves with spikes and huge claws! and also some kind of boomerang weapon or Disc with knify edges.. like kung lao HAT from Mortal Kombat :P

I bought GW2 to play Necromancer with a MM build. But like this is impossible…
Had to stop GW2… Was hoping that they could fix this issues but nothing so far…I am starting to lose hope :|

Exactly same here… wante to play only MM Necro and they just ruined for me…and also they dont fix nearly anything major…. but still they add fluffy stupid new events…. i m losing hope as well….

Minions Need AI Fix, Basic Minnion control UI (attack/comeback,Defensive/aggresive/passive).
All this mechanics exist in their code since ranger pets have control ui. and also mesmer pets attack properly… they just need to give some focus to us,cause as it is now they seem to have completely forgot us…

asking if sweetFX is bannable is like asking if its bannable to use a better graphics card with better colors and faster gpu…. Combat mode on the other hand could be…but knowing Anet they would put out of the forums anything related with those mods..so They dont delete the threads meaning its on a green zone and safe at least for now.
I use both and i couldnt play anymore without em…

addon makers actually making the game better for the company… WoW is a piece of CRAP without the addons!!! i never liked that healbot kind of addons.. but i did liked dmg meters/agroo meters and some ui changings.. if API like this existet there would be another major Road of posibilities. but i doubt Anet would ever allow addons anyhow.. bad for them if you ask me..but i dont rly care nevertherless..

I Believe that WoW had introduced a nice system in guilds when they put in game their perks.. so basicaly every member in guild builded some kind of reputation with the guild that give them nice extra perks. if you left the guild and within some hours come back the guild reputation stil exist as before.. BUT if you leave and go to another guild u are losing your previous reputation with the previous guild.. so basicaly you have to think twice if you wanna leave a guild.. cause that reputation meter was hard to fill and could takes weeks or even months depends of how much u were playing.
I believe that system is good for guild hop hop and i think its very easy to put in the current system of guild wars.. Also it would be could to add Alliances of guilds like they had it on GW1 so small guilds can survive by not disband but actually be in an alliance with a bigger clan. the system as it is now i agree completely that is very Problematic.

Although I wouldn’t say no to minion AI’s being improved upon, it’s important to remember that necro minions aren’t designed to be pets, they’re utility skills. It’s a bit absurd to compare them to ranger pets in terms of expectations of control when you consider that difference. As far as profession skills go, the ability to control a ranger’s pet is more comparable to the ability to use skills within death shroud or change attunements as an ele.

TL;DR Comparing pets and minions is like comparing apples and oranges. They’re not meant to be equivalent.

@Ground Stop here we are not Comparing Rangers Pets with Necro Minions. We just ask for the Very Basic Controls. every other game gives u the control over pet/minions/eles etc…

Apples and Oranges are different but still you can eat them both and you should. now as it is u cant eat the oranges and there is no a reasonable explanation for that…

yes that issue with water and pets are indeed really annoying..but i guess its a feature as it was (NOT) the lich form that despawn the minions on use.. maybe they can rid of the cd but i can see some ways that people can get avantage of that…best is to not dispawn..but thas for now a minot issue… pets that dont attack and pets that cannot be controled are far more important.
