For the record, they doubled the cooldown on symbol of wrath, while this does help them control the usage of retaliation, any traits affecting symbol size/duration/etc, as well as the way they map the skill layouts based on cooldown and not on natural combos means that it affects other aspects beyond simply retaliation. The increased cooldown just seems like a misplaced band-aid to a problem, there were many alternatives to fixing retaliation uptime and usage.
He meant that the shortbow gives swiftness on skill 3, if it hits something: it pushes you back and gives you swiftness. No where in the post did he say quickness; he said “quick speed buff”.
I like mine too, goes well with my corrupted bulwark and corrupted avenger theme.
Exactly what has been stated above. Meet those requirements, effectively use dodge/any npcs. Run out of fights when you have to, aoe as much as you can. Never died in a personal story, nor failed one.
Anyone care to give me an estimate on how much powerleveling 1-400 in weaponsmithing is going to cost me based on the average prices of mats on the tp? i’ll be buying everything i need and mostly discovering to level up/gain crafting levels.
black dyes go for around 3-6g on the tp.
you need to spec more into getting health either through your traits or through gear. i’m currently fully geared out with these stats ( of the top of my head):
17k hp
41% crit chance
80% crit damage
2.2k attack
2.2k armor
I don’t use heals except in dungeons, mostly usage of dodges and blinds/aegis.
your defense isn’t high enough that you can discount vitality.
And to whomever said something about base stats, yah we have the same base vitality as everyone else, but the class scaling differs.
these are the same models as mystic weapons which can be crafted or bought on the tp for around 5g each.
second one is not a corrupted sabre, corrupted weapons have a specific color and different look.
yes, the skin can be found and transmuted off of a corrupted greatbow, which can be crafted or bought on the tp. Unfortunetly, the mats are very very rare drops and you need a lot of them, as well as the price on the tp is expensive. I see that someone bought the only one on the tp a while ago, but for reference my corrupted avenger ( a frozen greatsword skin model) cost me 40 gold.
With dungeon farming pre-nerf made a littleover 100g just straight farming on my 80 between selling mats, ectos from rares, vendoring, rewards. Now…it’s like 2g if i’m lucky from farming events/mats in orr.
Yes, it’s probably worth it. I’m maxed out on my weapons, armor, trinkets, runes, and all together i’ve spent close to 150g on all of them so, it’s very possible to get your cultural…maybe just more time.
pretty cheap and common the tp. just search it up.
it’s the feathered set. it’s not an exotic set as far as i remember.
depends on what set you want and what not. for me, crafted sets, plus weapon skins, runes, dyes, etc. cost a little over 120g. but i’m sure you can get what you need for under 30g.
fight was very simple on my guardian, mostly a matter of dodging or using defensive skills. never got below 50% hp, nor did i go down.
i honestly wish the last fight before arah would have been many times harder…so that you actually felt worthy of restoring orr….
if you have the gold, you can get fully exotic geared with trinkets, and weapon sets for close to 40-50g. depending on cost it can cost you more though, my full sets cost me upwards of 100g.
As they said 42k per piece of the karma gear, which may not have the runes you want. Overall, a full set of exotic 80 gear, with the right runes, trinkets, and weapon sets can cost upwards of 50g. depending of course. my sets cost me close to 100g, but that’s mostly just for the skins. cultural tier 3 is also at least about 100g.
I traited/built for some vitality, and run full berserker’s set with two trinkets that are Valkyrie. I have 16.5k hp, 41% crit chance, 80% crit damage, and 2.2k power. Pretty easy to do anything, dungeons, etc. Past about 14.5k-15k hp it doesn’t matter too much about vitality, more about toughnes and dodging well/usage of utlity skills/combo fields. Go with what you want, but know running berserker set is viable.
lol back during speed farming days, could take you less than 20 minutes to level almost 3 times.
Same targets? stationary v.s. moving around/through mobs? whirling wrath is picky, and it could still be how the comparison was done.
Same stats on gear ( e.×. berserker’s v.s. valkyrie), traited/builds are the same? power is the same? and especially crit damage, because i often 7k crits on my whirling wrath. and, while i have only 41% crit chance without food, i have over 80 crit damage. Might be a issue of hit boxes, may be testing inaccuracies due to rng, etc.
We have the ability to trait and build for damage while maintaining group support/our own utilities, because our class has support and utility engrained in many of our core skills regardless of damage orientation or not. Skillpoint in orr, or otherwise are fairly easy to beat. Missing about 2 in orr, all have been done solo just requires positioning, pre-emptive clearing of mobs, and the right skill/weapons selected prior to engagement. Orr itself is very very easy, since we have some of the most prolific protective abilities/combos, and condition removal/swaps. Guardians are a very solid class, who are always needed. Only down sides are our ranged capabilities are limited to mostly support/control and we have low base hp and can get dull if only playing one weapon set.
Make sure you have at least 15.5k hp or so, otherwise my full crit/crit damage/support build works fine. It’s more about dodging and utility choices over straight stats.
Corrupted weapons glow while Used, or not sheathed, and even a short time after it is sheathed. Unfortunately, had to pay 23gold for my corrupted Avenger, and last time I checked there is only one on the market at 27gold. Since the sword You need and mats required total at least 20 g themselves. Well worth it though, since I replaced my 6g mystic claymore with it.
No, you need transmutation stones from either zone completion or the gem store to add the look everytime after the first.
While i could say you’re over reacting…which you are, level 80 rares don’t matter at all, except for the skins, even though you have better choices for level 80 armor (exotic) that look’s better. By the time you probably even would of had the amount of good necessary, and the fine trans. stones you would be approaching level 80 already. I don’t want to be harsh, but you’re demanding they fix this for you, otherwise you’ll quit playing a game you’ve already possibly paid all you will pay for this expansion for? Does this not seem a little self centered to you? It may also be the usage of the language, but i can see English is not your primary language; therefore, it’s probably not that.
Well, there’s no rush to play your guardian if you like your engineer more. No sub. fee mean you’re free to pursue what you want. That being said, as a 80 fully geared dps oriented gs/staff guardian for dungeons, 15.5k hp with full berserker armor and some valkyrie trinkets, i would have to say it’s not that bad to to be non “tanky” melee. For some situations, like arah, where many waves of mobs come at you, being able to clean up some on your own without needed assistance helps out a lot. I also have an offset of temple gear with power/vit/toughness, but rarely use it because the added bonuses of those stats don’t matter too much where it should count: bosses. Bosses will still kill you in probably 1-2 more shots, or simply 1 shot you for certain animations. This means that what’s most important is dodging correctly, which any supportive/dps build can do with vigor on crit. Although i would advise at least 15k hp or so to help against conditions eating away at you too fast, guardians are as versatile as you want, just have to take the time to trait, gear, slot for it. Our survivability mostly comes from our combo fields, and utility skills, not so much our statted gear. Just a thought.
mystic is blue, while coe is red. same models for weapons. and yes, mystic weapons are probably what you’re looking for. so, maybe 5-6g for the skin depending on either shortbow, or like 3g for the longbow version. and a fine transmutation stone.
Suggestion is, stat or trait for the median. Focusing either on overall total damage dealing leaves you squishy, while going full survivability means you simply can take more hits if you can’t/don’t dodge. Best bet is simply to run a build tailored to your favorite weapon sets with traits and stats on runes, and armor opposite. Some of the squishiness of pure glass cannon builds can be cured with 5-15 points into various traits such as vigor on crit or simply more group utility/ combos. I advise you to choose your preferred playstyle, then simply be careful with positioning and gear to survive until you can get two sets of armor if you so wish. Do keep in mind though that a full set of exotic crafted and trinket, weapons, runes, can easily cost upwards of 60-70g. so choose wisely for your first set.
just keep in mind the protector’s set (cultural human tier 3) is about 20-25g per piece.
The trading post has transaction logs, so more times than not your stuff is simply delayed due to the problems, and will be returned/awarded to you whenever the process goes through fully, if not you can, as you have already done, put in the ticket and have it fixed that way too. Just wait a day, and see if it shows up at all.
As i’ve already mentioned in other posts, it is a known issue they need to fix or relabel to avoid situations like this, and in no way is it really the fault of the buyer when buying mislabeled items, but honestly at the end of the day this can still be avoided by players with some quick comparisons. Just because a problem is or isn’t there, doesn’t mean you should not take extra precaution to double check prices or what not regardless.
While i’m sorry to hear about this, i was also in that situation before reading the prolific threads and posts about this known bug, i simply took the time to do a quick comparison of prices between the box ( all 5 pieces) and a single piece of the draconic set. Single pieces were almost 4g each, while the box was 6g? a quick comparison would have saved you some trouble, even if it is an unfortunate bug.
Sorry to say this was on multiple websites, and within these forums in a lot of posts. It really should be fixed because it’s a bug, and ends up giving you a full set of rares, not exotics…however, didn’t you think it was a bit strange that the box was selling for only 6g, when each piece goes for close to 4g each? Not to say that you had to double check with individual pieces, but it really would have been wiser to do a quick comparison. I didn’t know about the bug, but saw the price difference and opted not to buy it before reading about it a day later. As for the other posts, i’m sorry to say it’s apparently the policy that they can’t do anything to assist you unless they fix the bug and refund, which seems very unlikely. Not sure what to say besides i’m sorry to hear about the bug, and that you should do some more comparisons when buying/investing such an amount of gold.
As to the number of available. It seems to be that the number of available corresponds to the specific listing prices of the item, not necessarily the total number of that item being offered. So, whatever number you’re seeing as available before you click on that item and get a detailed breakdown of ALL the prices/offers to sell, is the number available at that set price. Might want to double check it it’s that, and not simply a bug.
