Not sure if this is under the right section but seemed best to ask. For the new nodes that are available from Black Lion chests or the trading post is there any sort of limit to them? I imagine not in purchasing but in use of them as unspecified limits to home instances?

They are bound like all other nodes in home instances. Once per day per account.

That isn’t the nature of the question, I know the nodes themselves are one use per day it’s the greater context of buying/receiving the node bundle and if the bundles have unstated limits

Collections for Black Lion weapons. Yeah, because it’s reasonable to collect 16 skins that you need to gamble on to obtain reasonably, from Black Lion Chests. Again, they want you into the Gem Store. Not all collections added are all bad, but some of these are absolutely making me loathe whoever it is that’s behind them. It’s screaming greed, and it’s making the game look so cheap and tacky, like a full-fledged Free-to-Play title. Only difference is I paid up front for this one.

OR… you can buy them from the TP with Gold. No RNG necessary.

The only issue with BL collection that I truly have with it is that it’s literally for every set of weapons ever offered, provided you have at least one to enable the set, but Anet has decided that they’ll discontinue some sets such as Scelrite and I know they discontinued one other. IMO with this change (in terms of creating collection achievements for each one) they should set a maximum ticket cap per skins and keep every weapon they’ve created as an option to be traded in

(a minor gripe for the BL collections is that the game can award you with an items credit if you don’t or have never had one- forcing the tracks appearance)

The mini binding I can’t really see too much of an issue, but what annoys me is that they didn’t bother to make new achievements with the change- it’s literally the same 3, re done and god forbid you didn’t get the “old” ones before the change and miss out on the basically extra AP

I’m suddenly more annoyed by this nerf to the position of commander. People complained that Trahearne stole the spotlight and now the lore team is reducing our spotlight in The Pact solely because the overarcing teams are pushing away from a Pact centric storeline, this seems like a greater cop-out than the handling of mixing with the 2nd rate destiny edge which is likely limited in the choice of voice actors whereas the direction of the story, and as such our position in the pact, would and could still be directly affected by Anet’s choices- a shame they decided to downplay us in that regard once again.

If you want to understand that mindset of doing the opposite when being told something,go learn psychology.There’s nothing much to it besides it being human nature to go against “authority”.You should know this,as a human.Therefore before a match starts say in general,Lets keep it at home/mid..And see what happens instead of picking on one guy who goes far but doesnt like being told to do otherwise.Try to speak to the team instead of this one person..lay the rules and the plan out before the match,not during or after someone has done something wrong.

Gadgeteer doesn’t make gadgets anymore appealing in any regard, of the effects Utility Goggles is the only one that seems to benefit from it, same for experimental turrets for the most part (especially given alchemy line)

Bunker Down…I don’t even know, I really don’t was hoping for a grandmaster maybe a bit towards rifle/weapons that’s more useful than modified ammo, boy was I horribly wrong…unless you can somehow have a ridiculous amount of mines ranged weapons and at location traits still seem asinine (or at least to me)

To be fair, more traits that the ones listed are coming, but looking at the compared to others presented in the blog to ours it does make us seem shafted, but turrets always have been especially in regards to other AI in terms of ability and damage

All of which are grandmaster traits. We are getting 1 new trait for each line and unless those other 4 are going to integrate with turrets(which is very doubtful since 1 WILL go to gadgets) turrets will still be turrets unless they drop an entire rehaul of this skill set on the patch.

The comment I had replied to seemed more in line to the presenting of traits, I certainly won’t argue that turrets have been low rung in use and fixes, as I said in my first post in this thread this trait is a really niche trait as are turrets as a whole based on the active ness of gw2 as your opponent can literally walk away.

I haven’t played in a few months, but I just had to come here to voice my opinion on the stupidity of the anet balancing team after reading the latest blog post. Each class is getting new traits, and the engy gets the shaft again. Mesmer is getting a trait that allows an interrupt to cause someone’s heal to go on a 10s cooldown, effectively winning any fight. Engy gets a 4s turret bubble. It’s pretty mind boggling at how much they hate this class, and only solidifies my decision to leave this game.

PS, my Titan gets a free 4s bubble every time I drop one.

ohh turrets….. n o b o d y is using turrets. Not in WvW not in sPvP and not in PvE.

I’d agree on this, this trait however can make them a bit more useful in some situations however in PvE with free trait reworks since it’s a 4s reflect that can total to 16s when placed in sequence, 20 with SC- this is notably useful for Uncat fractal’s asuran boss but overall it’ll be a highly niche thing

I kind of wish they’d have consulted the HoM calculator and given a ticket in the mail to individuals who had collected them all from GW1, it’s rather annoying to see them returned and part of bridging your legacy is now items that were added to it, not in the game on release, and now redone in the gemstore; Classy.

Noticed this today after getting my second one of the same type. Is there any way they can be enable to stack? As they are essentially the same type of bags as Scarlet Spare keys in what and how they distribute the items. Would be a good way to save inventory space.

throws a can your way But actually that’s kind of why this is how things are the way the are and haven’t been changed in regards to PvE/WvW the game is usually and more often than naught balanced around PvP, all PvP items are coded in relation to exotic rarity if they bumped them all to ascended level equivalent (or changed rarity code presumably if changing the numbers is too hard a task without the larger PvP rehaul) then the kit/bundle change could be done more globally

FGS does OP dps, but then people have been saying that for months. As wooden potatoes pointed out, they did nothing to change it when the did the big rework of elementalist conjured weapons so it’s unlikely to change anytime soon. It has zero to do with berserker gear and everything to do with a skill’s unintended (more then likely) side-effect.

This! FGS even got buffed with the last updates in terms of mobility.

- FGS isn´t overpowered! Fiery Rush isn´t overpowered!
- Fiery Rush ONLY works against a corner or a wall AND an enemy who doesn´t move
- Fiery Greatsword has a cooldown of 180 seconds
- and finally: FGS is an Elite skill, compare FGS to something like timewarp or warbanner(especially WvW/PvP). Now tell me again, that FGS is overpowered -.-

Keep in mind: FGS gets nerf will result into a “4 x warriors + 1 x mesmer” meta all day, every day.

On my phone so just gonna point out something on fiery rush, the skill is op damage wish due to it not needing a target, or working without one by setting that option off- regardless of this being an elite skill or not one can argue its unintentional and abet actually could place a limit on it if they chose as seen in the engineer tool belt for add static shock- it literally will not work unless an enemy is targeted, it’s a matter of balance if they apply this to other skills ( which I prefer they’d do to some in terms of absurd mobility applications)

My only issue was the weird 4 element thing, because it honestly made little to no sense or had horribly loose tie ins; Flame legion was fine, dredge as “earth elementals” seems poor in the area that wants to be conveyed as they work with sound tech as importance, referencing their mines or ability to would have said the message better, the creation of the air ships seems off as originally mentioned as being stolen from the pact and the toxic alliance isn’t really water as their toxin is more air based than water in its distribution – here’s hoping it’ll at least seem clear in the next 3 parts

Since it also relates to this item, I’d like to mention that the Light of Dwayna item is still listed as Account Bound (at least in tool tip; haven’t made it myself) as opposed to Shadow of Grenth which still has soulbound on use binding, as the recipe was changed I take it that the Account Binding of LoD should be changed as well

In lines to the changes of I can’t seem to find documented changes for Go for the eyes, from 50% on crit 10s ICD iirc or the removal of burning from rocket turret..Will these be mentioned in the 12-10 update despite being at best a month (nearly 2) old by then or any explanation for them really?

I’m not following how it contradicts anything.

The castle fell and then Wynn and the others caught up to the Mad King as he fled or was fleeing.

“So what did you do?

We murdered him from ambush, but didn’t stop there. We put his pieces in different boxes so we could hide them with obscuring spells. "

They couldn’t have killed him in the sacking of the castle, as that wouldn’t have been an ambush.

I can’t figure out how the burning of Pelchalice is out of order either..

Ambush implies they had been lying in wait, as I said it could simply be open ended was just wondering if any others see it as a possible inconsistency. Pelchalice would be fine. It’s just in how the short story is written it seems like he likely died with the revolt at the castle but in previous segments of the story (as a whole) show that he died potentially far from the castle where he’d be prepared as it were.

I was looking over some of the lore on Halloween, or well Oswald, that’s been out since GW2’s release and wondering if anyone else thinks this might be an inconsistency or just something that had been left open ended.

The main thing I’ve noticed was Portia’s comments imply that Pelchalice was the town burned down by Oswald, and as we see in The Family Business this was likely done by Edrick with the intent of this was the overthrow of his father, and this is where the problem potentially begins. The story ends kind of open ended with the past scene ending with the death of Dribbin, with the potential implication that castle Thorn fell which would contradict the final clue of Act 2 last year from Wynn’s Ghost about when the king died as it appears long after Pelchalice’s burning.

Anyone else think it may be an error or just a possible oversight? In regards to if part of wynn’s discussion of the prince, I don’t see that as an oversight in the historic sense (Thorn removed the records of Edrick that could have remained to be studied, though certainly would not have prevented new ones to being written) but the issue of Pelchalice is certainly at least a chronological error at the least.

hgh is useless, traps you into your traits to much and those little changes on elixirs aint gonna make it that much better. I have to say i was a little disappointed with this patch, i love the increase in size off the bombs, it really is so good, but that’s it. im sticking to my ht/tk/bombs and eg.

Just wish they would sort the turrets out as i’ve always wanted to use them without feeling underpowered! One day they will have their day! O_o

Sadly most of our traits trap us into trait lines, one thing I dislike about the class and why I have no traits in power, the main line and non picked traits all seem unappealing or useless (to me at any rate- maybe I just don’t like being so close when it seems we lack the most mobility of medium classes)

The Merchant who traded items for Zhaitaffy is now named Sonder the Seller, you will find him next to the Laurel vendor in Fort Marriner. But he couldn’t pass up a great opportunity like Halloween to exchange for Halloween items. But once Blood and Madness is over, which runs until November 11th, he will resume trading items for Zhaitaffy.

Yes, Sonders the Seller will trade both of those items after November 11th. The minipet and and pail will still be available. The upgraded crafting materials for nougat, fangs and skulls will be removed.

It’s certainly better than what I originally thought, makes more sense for the fangs and such to be a bit more of a heavy gate for the Halloween themed weapons. Intially I thought the Candy corn stuff was extreme but hadn’t known Sounder would be taking corn afterwards as well…so all’s good :o

Edit in part to what Weaver mentions above about cobs not being around on the 12th, that’s a misinterpretation on martin’s last sentence which is to Sonder accepting taffy again on the 12th, though he will stop Fangs, Nougat and Skulls- just not cobs

It did, just different format with lines; Also isn’t a retcon as Edrick could be alive by his fathers dark magic (corporal v spirit)… Edrick is added lore, he is a son of Thorn presumably the eldest from a course of 8 wives and he was locked in a box we don’t know when, if he’s a ghost, it’ll be explained in the release and it may be an interesting twist for the LS as a whole

He did have 8 wives, this still kinda circumvents the notion of whom is Edrick’s mother, and him not being killed along his father is also tied into being locked within a box for time unknown….What’s more interesting is the term “monster” and “brought his family shame”…How does one shame the Thorn family? All in all a really interesting trailer…why can’t it be tomorrow ;-;

I don’t see what the problem is.

While the OP’s post in short laments the idea that zerker is limited to 1 stat (power), he raises a point about world bosses. They are objects, immune to critical hits and while they are special objects that can get conditions the hard caps make conditions all but useless.

The world bosses as objects is a horribly flawed design in this game, even if they were say immune to the benefit of a player’s critical damage modifier but not the base 150% it’d allow for better functionality to how fights are approached and the outcome of the fights.

For instance, there are a total of 12 on crit sigils that cannot be used in any world boss fight solely due to this bad design of no crit mentality. Some of these sigils (Blood/Water) can enhance the survivability of an individual or a group. Others allow for what is the basic DPS sponge of a boss to go by faster (Fire/Air/Rage/Strength).

This also cascades down into trait lines of various professions and their effectiveness (Theives and necros primarily, damage in the case of warriors)

If anything the design of world bosses truly highlights PVT bias that the OP mentions because the large health pools are really only ever dwindled by power as the caps and design decisions limit or void any other means and should be addressed before any further revamps.

So, this whole don't ress-mentality...

As of current the sound effect for the rifle only works on our auto attack; Is there any possible way to add it, or some variant of the sound to some of the other skills as well, even if just in the background?

Far as I can tell disable post processing and this no longer becomes an issue, done her about 40 times (and failed- close on about 2) but never the screen change effect.
