You mean that bit at the end with Mordresloth? Yeah, I have yet to finish that because of the part where you have to glide and rocks kill me somehow. Then on retry I’m fighting Caithe but she won’t stop attacking and I can’t close the rift… or like you say it crashes. So until they do something, I give up on it.

I didn’t know this was a thing until yesterday while in a jumping puzzle and people started asking in chat that nobody kill whatever the mob was and I was all…. wtf is this? I don’t understand how Anet thought this would be a good way to design any sort of reward. I certainly will never bother with any content that requires telling other players not to do some in game event…. that’s just asking for trouble. They need to fix this asap.

I wasn’t even on for a minute and it crashed. I’m tired of Crash Wars, I want Guild Wars back.

I crashed walking through Lion’s Arch. I crash all the time now and I’m getting to the point that I’ll go read a book or play something else.

For some reason Canada isn’t in the retail list. How odd.

I opened one satchel and all I got was some empyreal fragments and geodes.

Had the same issue on Cursed Shore with the cypress and mithril nodes.

This reminds me of some quest in Guild Wars 1 (think it was while defending Lion’s Arch or somethin’) and later on one of the Asuran’s wanted to know if there’s going to be some bookah cake.

Actually the Cavern Scutters look like Karka. I guess they used the scutters as a base. They even have the same death animations… the one leg falling over and such. haha.

I wouldn’t mind a centipede pet or a firefly.

I played Guild Wars 1 for years and I’m thoroughly enjoying Guild Wars 2.

The weird thing I find now, is when I load Guild Wars 1 and it feels odd that I can’t jump. :p

I just want to upload an avatar on here but for some reason this forum doesn’t have that feature enabled. Would be nice if Anet enabled custom avatars. I’d rather make my own than have the game spit out a character mug shot, tho that would be better than nothing. :p

Yes they do indeed drop.

Between Halloween and Wintersday, I had 4-5 keys drop (one may have been from map completion). Last one was from a grub in Caledon Forest…. right after loading the game, I turned around and a guy was killing a grub, so I shot at it and ended up with a key. Another dropped off a risen spider. The rest is foggy. :p

Yeah I solo’d that Champion Demagogue a couple months ago with my ranger. if you talk to the one NPC after the fight he tells you there’s a reward for you on top of the mushrooms. Jumping up some mushrooms you find a chest. Both times I did it, the chest was already open and I couldn’t click on it. I sent a report and never went back there since.

I never get anything to drop off a champ. I couldn’t get a champ to give me anything before the so called fix… I don’t know how many times I jumped in to help kill that champ risen abomination and he has yet to drop something. Then there’s all these other champions including Karka… nope no drops.

That looks to me to be an item with the wrong icon. There was a set of pants with a glove icon that they just fixed. lol

Other players can be annoying. They rush from one thing to another expecting you to keep up and if you look behind one rock they’re 2 miles away. I’ve had it with people’s drama. I’ve had it with saying ‘brb’ for the millionth time. I’ve had it with being away for something and feeling like I have to rush back. I’ve played with others and it isn’t always good. It can be a lot of fun but it can also be a big drama-fest. It’s so peaceful and stress free to play alone compared to the drama I had to put up with in previous games, especially in the first Guild Wars. I don’t want to ever be on a schedule again that’s for kitten sure.

That being said. I don’t mind grouping up with random folk and doing things like taking out a champion or doing a jumping puzzle or running in some zerg. If I see somebody who needs help, I’m there. If I see a downed player I try to get to them if I can.

There have been times that I played with a friend or with my brother(s) or with a random person and it’s been fun, so I do like doing that at times. Still, playing solo is the kind of freedom I prefer.

I started with pong. Then it was on to the Atari 2600 (asteroids!!!) and played a lot of stuff on there (yar’s revenge, missile command, berserk, etc..). Then it was the C64 and played a lot of the gold box AD&D games like Pool of Radiance and Secret of the Silver Blades. Then the PC with the Doom series and then things like Quake, Quake 2 and Half-Life, etc. Then Morrowind got me hooked on The Elder Scrolls! Played lots of RPG’s and FPS’s and some neat games like Thief and Heretic 2 and Blade of Darkness!!! I also designed levels for Doom 2, Hexen 2, Half-Life and Quake and made a few mods for Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim….. a lot of stuff needs finishing. haha.

Bought Guild Wars shortly after it released. Played some 5500 hours with it. Bought all the expansions and really loved Nightfall and Eye of the North. Played a lot of hard mode and went through all the dungeons. Slaver’s Exile in hard mode…. seemed insane at the time.

I’m really enjoying Guild Wars 2. I have one level 80 and have a couple other characters I’m messing with. I love the exploring aspects. I think the art direction is excellent. There’s a few things id change or add, but overall I’m really loving Guild Wars 2.

Indeed, champions are not dropping anything for me as well. Getting a piece of junk off one would be an improvement a this point, let alone getting something decent. heh.

I’m betting that the spawn points for ore will change like they do for the rest of the game, whenever they usually do that… during the next update. Sometime next week the rich ori will be in the water with the champion shark or something.

As for the other ori on the island there was a normal one at the bottom of the hive and one outside the entrance along the cliff wall to the left as you exit there. Not sure if those ones changed during the last patche(s) tho.

I just noticed earlier that the shell merchant guy was missing. It sucks you bought shells and the guy isn’t there now. Oo

They could just make them different colors or something. Orichalcum tools could be gold, etc….

The new island area is fun and interesting and hard. I was lucky and got Ogden’s Coat out of a jumping puzzle chest… usually I just get crapola. Anyhow, I’ve enjoyed the island portion after spending a lot of time with the buggy parts. Got steam rolled by veteran karka a few times. haha. How can anybody not find that hilarious?

Indeed! One day I tried WvW mainly to try and get the Monthly reward. After doing some fighting, getting killed and general running around, I ended up in an area with centaurs and me and another guy killed a bunch them. He ran off somewhere. I was alone in the middle of nowhere. I saw a plant, so I went to harvest it. Suddenly I was surrounded from out of thin air by 20 enemy players and didn’t have a chance. Big turn off. I should have been able to see those guys coming from a mile away. They didn’t materialize until they were right next to me. wtf?

Also the cost of having to do so many armor repairs. Bleagh.

Running for miles to get back to some battle gets olde fast.

Eventually I joined a huge battle which helped me get the last kill for the monthly I was trying for and that didn’t really feel worth doing in the end. So I never went back to WvW after that.

Indeed! I agree, the bald look when you put on a hat looks odd and can’t say I like it much. Also I wish you could wear a hat with your armor like you could in GW1. My necro in GW1 wears the Horns of Grenth all the time… ahhh the good olde days.

Ive seen bots do many things from mining to healing but bots don’t like candy corn. So if a player runs right pass a candy corn nod it a very good chance he’s a bot.

Ummmm, I ran by 2 of those candy corn nodes today on my way to the merchant because my mining tools got used up just previously and I’m not a bot. heh.
