The event isn’t even fun to begin with, so no. If there were less rewards or no rewards I wouldn’t touch this event with a 10 foot pole. The only reason I’m even bothering to do it is because I have an opportunity to get a Selfless Potion.
If you quit, can I have your stuff?
The world bosses needed to be reworked since the megaserver change anyway, because at the moment there’s no fear of the zerg being wiped. The world bosses were loot pinatas before the condi change, and they’re loot pinatas after.
That same guy was in EotM earlier, but on his ranger. Every time someone walked up the stairs to cross the bridge to the keep, he would teleport out and kill them. Managed to kill him with reflects a couple of times, but he would come right back in a matter of seconds anyway.
It’s not fair on those that completed WvW mapping on all their characters to suddenly have the same map completion as those that didn’t. But unfortunately Anet stands behind the lazy player mentality I wouldn’t be surprised if this did happen eventually.
You can see this mentality cropping up all over the forums these days.
“All way points unlocked”
“I WANT STUFF FOR FREEEEEEEE”
Except WvW should not have been part of the map completion to begin with, it is not a part of Tyria, it is part of the Mists. Not only that, but lower population servers with a small/non-existent WvW player base were pretty much screwed out of completing all of the maps. It’s not so much laziness as it is accessibility. This is coming from someone that did map completion before WvW was removed from it, it was completely unnecessary.
Unfortunately it’s part of an outfit and not a separate armor piece, so if you want this hat it’s all or nothing. Like Lambent said, it’s the Hexed outfit.
How are they going to stop people getting more than one invite dropped from mobs?
And if some one does get two, or more, I hope that they are not sellable on the market because I could see them going for insane amounts of gold.
It says you can’t trade them with other players, so no one is going to make any money off of this.
Okay, so it drops off of mobs in Silverwastes. Does that include the mobs during the defense events that don’t drop any loot, or only the roaming mobs?
I feel like they could add it as a reward in WvW for 1st place servers in their tier during the tournaments, but only to people that actually helped their server win. At least then the llama would be exclusive to PvP game modes.
If you want “shirtless” you could always go Sylvari. Their T1 cultural light coat is probably the smallest piece of “clothing” in this game. With that being said, the reason I went with as little clothing as possible on my Sylvari is because of their unique glow patterns, since you can’t see any of that wearing the many dresses and robes in this game.
I want a shirtless human male though not sylvari.
Is he a heavy class? The Scallywag Chest is probably your best bet, if they’re medium or light, I’m not sure.
Light, no armor is sufficient, hence my wish for the option.
Yeah, I see what you mean. The closest thing to “shirtless” for light armor is the feathered vestments. I feel like they could make an option for males to go shirtless, females don’t really need it because a good chunk if their armor is skimpy as it is.

My Sylvari ele with and without the glow effect.

I’m offended, and I find this jet plane.
shouldn’t you be playing the game if you think it’s so good.
It’s funny when people think this is a valid argument, cause ya know, it takes all day long to write a paragraph or two. Try harder next time.
TRIGGERED11!!11!!
This thread in a nutshell after the prank activated: “NO FUN ALLOWED.”
According to Reddit, other people are having issues too. I guess the servers are down?
^and this is another reason why that macro site is terrible. people who are actually good get taken for talentless morons pressing play on an ahk script
and who cares if the people using scripts are talentless? They’re still using the instruments for the same thing, playing enjoyable tunes for everyone to listen to. These are virtual instruments you play with a keyboard anyway, if you want bragging rights, go pick up a real instrument and learn how to play that, you can’t ez mode those.
For all we know, people that claim to be “good” at playing the instrument is also using a macro, including you OP. I don’t give a kitten if you use one or not, because either way you’re listening to something that may be enjoyable instead of a bunch of morons running around spamming “1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2,1, 2”
My necro.
Helm: Demon Masque

My problem with WvW ever being a part of the world completion to begin with was because it acted like an unnecessary timegate to crafting your legendary. You had to hope that the next reset would rotate to the color you need to access structures that your server never bothered/wasn’t able to capture.
For little over a month now, my server has been bouncing between green and red rotation. All I need is the PoI and 2 vistas from blue garrison and I will be done. I will be glad I won’t have worry about it after the update is released, it’s tedious enough doing map completion in the PvE maps.
I’m glad they’re putting outfits into the gemstore, that way they can release armor sets in game as something you earn like the carapace set and lumi set.
I don’t even care if they bother with a world 3 anytime soon, I had fun with world 1 and 2, and I sure as hell will have fun with them again. After buying the ICC, and then having the content locked up soon after for well over a year now, I feel cheated. I understand that SAB was a special event, but you just don’t sell something in the gemstore and then lock up the content it’s used for less than a month after and never bother to release it regularly, or even give premium access to people who bought the coin.
I doubt Jon was using zerker gear, so I can assume that’s not the damage you’ll be doing with a glass cannon build. The class isn’t finished either, so it’s possible the damage will be tweaked anyway.
How to win Dragon Ball:
1. Zerg with your team
2. Spam 1 key
3. ???
4. Profit
It doesn’t matter how skillful you are as an individual, if the enemy is zerging, they’ll burst you down before you can do anything. It’s even worse when you have potatoes for team mates that don’t know how to counter zerg.
Head: Inventor’s Glasses
Shoulder: Radiant
Gloves: Radiant
Chest: Scallywag Chest
Legs: Armageddon
Feet: Armageddon
Weapon: Chaos Greatsword
Backpiece: Wind Catcher
Only if they made a PvP server that you could join. I’m not a big fan of open world PvP outside of WvW. I would however welcome a dueling system in PvE, so you can have a friendly 1v1 on the fly instead of setting up a PvP match.
I honestly prefer wings instead. A pair of wings I would love to buy is the wings that were originally a part of the Raiment of the Lich outfit from GW1. I understand why they didn’t have it as part of the outfit in GW2 because we have back pieces, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t sell it as a separate back piece, those wings are pretty kitten.
Honestly, I agree that this would be a good time to plug the box back in, even if it’s only world 1 and 2. I miss SAB, a lot of people miss SAB, and with the release of the xpac being a little whiles away, grinding away at Silverwastes is not going to be enough content for the long wait we’ll have to endure.
Once you unlock the skin for them, they’re just another rare to salvage for ectos.
Edit: We decided to give it one more try and I managed to get it. Turns out you have to damage him for it to count, I spent all my time just avoiding his attacks that I never actually hit him. Feel free to delete this thread.
I’ve gone through this twice now with the qualifier still active after beating Togonn Windmane, and it hasn’t counted. I went in with a party, and they all got the achievement just fine.
In the screenshot that I took, you can see I still have the little buff, and this screenshot was taken at the very end of the instance next to the cave. Is there any way I can be rewarded the achievement without having to repeat this instance all over again? This achievement has caused me and my party a lot of stress, and it was all for nothing.
South starts with their boss. Their last wall should spawn without shield so they can start first. After the troll is dead, middle’s wall becomes vulnerable, making it possible to fight the trasher. Same again; last boss is the teragriff.
This is a bug and, yes, the episode as a whole is quite okay but god, I wish ANET did a tad more QA.
Details would be very helpful, please! Alternately, are you filing an in-game bug report?
There aren’t that many details necessary. Third wall to the south spawns with shield. It shouldn’t.
Pretty much this. The devourer keeps attacking an “impenetrable” vine wall at the end of the lane. For about a half hour straight, it went back and forth with ammo, hitting the wall doing no damage to it then goes back for more ammo. This is at the south lane. I can’t confirm if it happens with any other lane because the south lane always freezes up.
I won a Severed Dagger skin, and I probably put in roughly 60 scraps. Not the best skin, was really hoping for a Greatsaw, but at least I won something. :P
Maybe they’ll send them out for Christmas as gifts. :P
Here you go guys, more proof that ghosts can indeed get on top of the cliff.
Here’s another picture without the swiftness buff.

“Out of bounds” doesn’t mean “Outside the map”.
“Out of bounds” means “Outside the parts of the map within which you are intended to be”. People is getting out of bounds in maps all the time.
They removed with invisible walls out of bounds hiding spots that were way, way, WAAAAAY easier to reach. They simply missed this one.
You can save up your lies and excuses. Access to that spot in not intuitively visible. You can’t just jump there like you can jump on a rock. You have to step in particular spots in a particular way, in a particular order.
All activities, ALL are intended for all players, ALL. Both new and old. So any new player should be able to pick up things on the fly. Not having to learn all the intricacies of the map that are not intuitive.
Stop making excuses for what you are completely aware it’s wrong. ANet has proven countless times that they do not buy into the excuses of exploiters trying to excuse their cheating.
And yes, the rifle thing was also a bad idea. It may sond cool, and it’ll be cool for something like a dungeon or explorable area, but not for an activity.
It’s not an exploit until Anet says it is. Everyone thought the maize balm rat farm was an exploit which technically it should be, but Anet gave it the A-ok. You treat this spot like it’s some game breaking exploit when in reality it’s not because anyone, including the ghosts can get up there.
It’s a spot out of bounds.
They well know that place is unreachable through conventional means, which should simply not be required in an activity map.
They are cheating by exploiting a fault in the design of the map that was not fixed (a few other spots where fixed with invisible walls), and they well know it.
Report those players by taking screenshots and sending them to exploits@anet.com
The spot is clearly in the Map Area, the darker portion of the Map and Grey being out of bounds. I have take loads of screen shots today of people that know how to play and can actually get to that location with ease. I also find players like yourself who are falsely reporting players because you don’t (A) have the jumping skills in order to reach this place or (B) haven’t even tried and pull out the reporting card for your ignorance.
Better yet, how about we Nerf the Villagers more by not allowing them to move at all, restrict them from picking up items and take away there only ability. That will make the game more fun!
Lets even make the entire game revolve around you and making it so easy to accomplish stuff. As for reporting other players, you are falsely accusing them and promoting other players to report sounds like it would go against the rules.
In conclusion, learn to play the game or GTFO.
You know what’s funny? I had a few people report me for flying up here, then I made a fool of them by showing them I just jumped up here. Then one of the people that reported me got up there with hardly any effort. Yup, I flew up here. /sarcasm

Unreachable through conventional means? All you do is kittening jump up there. It’s not like you need to stand on your head, summon the six to bless you with wings and flap your way up there. There’s no fake walls to phase through, no invisible stepping stones to climb up the sides of a wall with, it’s just one timed jump and walaa, you’re safe temporarily. What do you think is going to happen when a ghost gets up there? (and trust me, they can) You’re pretty much screwed, jumping down isn’t going to save you because most of the time there’s a swarm of ghosts out there waiting for you. This is just another spot for villagers to delay the inevitable.
Thing is, if the villagers fight back “together” right at the beginning instead of just running away they can kill the lunatics easily.
Doesn’t really do you any good though. It delays the inevitable. The courtier are sure to score a conversion sooner or later, and you’ll just have 1 more to deal with. Courtiers will just use MKS on the most threatening one, and delete their weapon. The fact that they continue to let the courtiers stay this OP just makes me wish they’d remove this activity for Reaper’s Rumble instead, at least then both teams are balanced.
Um you guys do know how to get rifles right?
The rifle isn’t any better than the hammer. You still need to be in melee range for it to be effective at all, and you have to go through a series of tasks to get it. Also, you only have 1 shot with skill 2, so make it count. Honestly, you’re better off not even fighting the courtiers cause they don’t actually die, just get stunned for 2 seconds before recovering at full hp. To top it all off, if you get the rifle and a courtier uses an MKS command, all that hard work to get the rifle was flushed down the toilet since you just “lose” it.
I use the clocktower as a bag farm. It’s something I enjoy doing, and I’ve farmed a full stack of bags just from doing it.
This was one of several flawless runs.
pfft
You have the map to yourself. I had 4 other people in my map, and each round doesn’t start until everyone is off the tower. I’m sure I could reach 7 or higher if it was an empty instance.
You are persistant but we both know that scoring 6 requires luck as the rest needs to fail fast after each time you reach the top.
However since you think I can’t score 6 I have no choice but to make you blow off some steam from your big head.
…why are you assuming I thought that? You clearly showed you can make it to 7, but that would otherwise be next to impossible with an instance with other people in it. I was simply pointing out that you had a map to yourself, something that I didn’t have, and you managed to beat it 7 times because you had faster rounds. I wasn’t attacking you, but thanks for assuming I’m a hot head.

They didn’t delete them…there was a feature pack back in April that introduced the wardrobe system, so they removed the old versions of the town clothes you bought for the new ones you can wear in combat, go talk to the Black Lion Armor Trader and they’ll give you the new ones.
I’m pretty sure you will get “town-clothes tonics”, which aren’t quite the same and for some strange reason was not incorporated into the wardrobe system.
I don’t think they were talking about the tonics since they mentioned spending “RL money for eye-candy” I would assume they bought the outfits like the Mad King set or Pirate set which suddenly disappeared after the feature pack was released. Those outfits are put into the wardrobe in the outfits section after you reclaim them from the armor trader.
