Yep. I’ve had issues with it all week. I’m at 1600+ files. It quits after downloading a certain amount. I usually restart it. I’m hoping that once I get past a certain point it will continue on it’s own.
I really want to play. I miss my characters and guild
Presently nothing seems to help advance the patch client fully. It always stops at 82MB downloaded. I still have 1700 + files to go.
From reading other threads on here I’m glad to know it’s not on my end. I’ve downloaded CyberGhost to see if it was an ip issue. I still have over 1700 files to download and the darn thing keeps stalling =/.
Personally I don’t see the need for mounts. You can get around the world easy enough. If they were added it wouldn’t be a deal breaker.
I’ve been playing since the betas and still love this game. No complaints from me what so ever
For me it’s community. Being in a good guild and having people that I know in real life playing the game helps a lot.
Yes, I would recommend it.
Don’t pug, problem solved.
I personally don’t find it fun going to a dungeon with folk who are so ignorant. Sure there’s a few who make a dungeon run quite fun but they are rare. Better to go with friends or guild mates imo.

Well worth the 60 bucks. Love the game =)
Personally I’ve taken " End Game" out of my vocab. It just doesn’t fit the way I play any longer. I can play a game for years, not get to max level and be completely comfortable with the activities or lack there of that I choose to do when I play.
I have fun but I don’t run them all the time. I only go when they need a warm body ( my guild) to fill a spot. I like the challenge, yes I admit they can be a pain and frustrating. I’m getting to the point to where i outlive a lot of my comrades in dungeons due to knowing where traps/aoes etc happen as well as dodging out of trouble. For me I refuse to make any game mechanics a job any longer.
I normally supplement my gear with crafted items or drops. I save up the karma for higher level items normally.
I have one level 80. I’m working on world completion with her and I have 7 alts. Some for bank space but i also plan on leveling them at the same point.
Yep I’m having a blast. Even when I don’t feel like leveling, I’m just as happy to sit watch scenery, listen to the ambiance and space out
Wait till you meet the Risen in Orr…
Yep
The risen are like undead on steroids or caffeine or something
Here’s the issue. People are attempting to fulfill a never ending hunger. If you haven’t dealt with ‘it’ you may never find something that sates you.
The voice acting is fine imo. I love the music!!
Sadly, the pattern of negative posts upon the release of an MMO (or any game, really) is not limited to GW2. Pretty much every game release is the same. The forums are flooded with people who are unhappy or who didn’t get what they expected.
The reality is not that the game is bad, but the only people who are here posting on the forums are the ones who would rather be complaining. The ones who like the game are too busy playing to whine about it.
I haven’t gotten very far, but so far, I am enjoying this game a lot. My thief is loads of fun. I’m sure I will get bored with it eventually, but right now there is tons to do and lots of fun places to explore, so I’m having a blast.
And when you consider there is no monthly fee (like there is for most MMOs) I feel like I got more than my money’s worth for this experience.
Agreed
Me too.
Also folk don’t realize that having a grateful attitude really helps with contentment even with little things like playing mmos.
Here’s mine.
+15
I love seeing that people are still generally decent. They’ll help you kill a monster and revive you if you’re down. I pass the good will forward and someone else does the same. Lovely concept <3
Crafting is a good start for your gear needs.
Don’t burden yourself with other folks complaining. You’ll enjoy the game so much more
I’ve rolled 2 charr, a ranger and an elementalist. I’ve always chosen nonhuman characters in games and I wanted a feline race to take on the name of one of my EQ characters ( she was vah shir).
Whether it’s worth the time or not is very subjective. There are many ways to get xp, you don’t always have to go after the big chunks of xp to get to 80. It’s all choice and one way is as valid as the next. Have fun
Yes!! Thank you for all your hard work folks <3 I agree don’t let the naysayers getcha down. You’ve made a lovely living piece of art that players like myself can devote a lot of time having fun in. Group hug
Yep, once you ‘consume’ a dye it’s there to be used for that character only.
I wouldn’t concern myself with getting flamed, Anet is pretty good about making sure folk follow rules here
* yay anet<3*
If you haven’t checked out the manual that may help you also.
I think that’s right Warriorferret.
Banish in GW1 had a knock back effect also.
