I’m gonna tell you where is the issue exactly and what is causing it.
RMT “Real Money Trading”, Now hear me out
Lots of players instead of buying Gems to convert to Gold they do the opposite exactly
They buy Gold to convert to GEMS and they get more GEMS doing it for example they buy 1k gold at 60$ yep that’s right and then they convert it to GEMS and that would be how many gems? if 1k gems = 100g that is 10k gems for 60$.
So instead of having more supply on GEMS and Less prices we get the opposite.
A Lot of people isn’t buying gems and their buying GOLD instead from 3rd party sellers and Arena Net haven’t taken any counter measures yet so far! so it will result on having higher GEM prices and ANET will lose more Money since it goes into the pocket of 3rd party gold sellers.
I Voiced the problem but solutions is needed.
You can limit the amount of gold that can be sent VIA mail and limit it only to Friend List that will be a start to fight back! and i’m sure ANET can come with lots of solutions since it concerns millions of $.

There is lots of smart Flippers around and let me give u an example how they can damage the prices a bit
2-3 weeks ago Orichalcum ore was 7S+, Today its 4s “Should be expensive more than that” But a lot of flippers but an “x” amount of Orichalcum ores to flip them once Ascended Armor Crafting is out but there was greatly too many of them + Gathering Bots are running around now a days so it screwed the Orichalcum Ore market,
Another example an material crafting item listed for example lets say 5s and 99 copper a flipper comes along and he puts 5s and 1 copper on “Buy Order” then he Lists a small amount of the same Item for 5s and 2 copper so he can get his “Buy order” done more quicker and it can also be done to make the items more cheaper for an another example
An item for 10s and buyorder for 7s a flipper comes and he put 1 or 2 of the same item for 8s then another will check the highest price and he will list it for lower, so the price of the item will keep going down then he buys all of them and list them for 10s.
Flippers can cause good and harm, but more harm at most cases
However the real big problem is RMT

There is a huge issue that is almost not being addressed by the community afaics
Flippers & Real Money Trading Outside the Gem-store

There’s a large amount of Players lurking in the shadows buying hordes of Gold From Websites/ Chinese Re-sellers and so on and that Effect the Gem Prices because less supply vs more demands and it Causes Anet to lose a fair good amount of money that can be used for Development and causes the player to get less for the time they’ve spent farming those gold and so on

2nd Issue at hand is Broker Flippers
They just flip the broker buying an item or a material or w/e for an Small “x” Amount of gold and sell it for higher basically earning money over time by almost doing nothing and it causes the prices to go higher and higher over time

i just wanted to point out these two issues because its effecting the game in a bad way
i don’t know much of solutions to the Flippers but the RMT can be avoided by setting an “xxxx” amount of gold to be mailed to anyone per month or per week and restrict it to friend-list "For an example a friend that have been in the friend list for an “xx” amount of time"

There is an option to report scammers R.click > Report> Scamming, something like that you could file a support ticket as well they could help with it and i don’t think anet tolerate any kind of action.

i actually would like to know if their next update or not, i don’t wanna start crafting celestial gears and end up seeing ascended armor is out! a heads up would be nice Anet!

Not solved yet, more fps lag since last maintenance

Hey i had these problems till like 3-4 days ago! i installed W7 ultimate with full SP1 updates and downloaded latest drivers and it fixed my problem.
This problem happens to you because W7 reset your graphic card because it see it as “inactive” just update/upgrade your windows but i suggest a clean install first!

A lot of fps lag and freezes even when i have a lot of fps wonder why it even happen, must be server side.

its not running smooth to me at all right now, actually more fps lag than ever and whats funny that my fps is mainly at 40~100 and i get lag even when i have 72 fps? they kinda screwed something up.

@ Suddenflame, i’m not being negative im addressing an issue about Alts that there is lack of contents i can do with them as Alt characters, i would really for example like to see them bringing back the “Dungeon Per Character Per Day”, that at least makes it more fun/sense to have Alt characters and it will encourage others players to do so, different players like different things as u stated about what you like yourself but having at least the option there would be lovely.

I Want to express myself about the uses of Alts lately since Guild Wars 2 is headed into the Unknown lately and some changes that i’m not ok with since it comes to Alts

Back in the day i could do “X” Numbers of dungeons/Instances without having any restrictions it was excessive back then,
then they limited it to per character and i was like yay Alts is more usefull now!
But now its limited to one dungeon per Account so i feel my alts are only usefull for gathering only at this moment and they are just sitting there and i don’t feel like playing/gearing them since there is nothing to do with them,

So my question is,
Could Anet give some insight if Alts will be more usefull to have? Like something that is done per character
And anyone have any ideas what to do with Alts These Days?

i’d like a greatsword on my necromancer, Necro+ Twilight would be an awesome shadow-dark combination they already a bit tankish <3

I Just saw how they look and they are just horrible …
The new hairstyles are only limited to the makeover-kits and now we get ugly “ascended” armors that makes me feel at least as player i should transmute it to something else?
Anet, your just disappointing your core players.

Living story just became too boring, and its just a veil for them to fix some of the broken gameplay but it haven’t been fixed much.
Look at Orr, its almost dead none almost care about that place anymore
They should focus at the game core and the original content and add additions to it not just temporary 2 weeks contents.

i’d like to see a heavy barrage of serious artillery skill, or even a rocket call on a location that do some serious damage it would be more fun that way.

i believe its time for an expansion, but are we gonna get that at all?
i know what you feel OP, but lets hope it will get better and i would like to see some real Guild Wars.

It’s always sad to see an employee leaves/fired , makes u feel part of the game is gone as well …

Waste of bandwidth inc for me, only good thing for me in this patch is
“Fixed a bug that caused some items to lose their functionality after a player has gone into a downed state”.
