Paying for the DM title is kinda lame. You can buy the title but you can’t buy skill/experience. Having the title on in a dungeon and sucking so hard, it won’t go unnoticed.

Get into a habit of taking screenshots in every dungeon you pug just in case some scum decides to kick you. I’ve never had it happen in Dungeons or FotM, but I still take screencaps just in case.

File a report and show the evidence of their toon name, get friends to report them as well to bring ‘attention’ to the account.

It’s a dog move. No matter how hard some pugs have sucked in my groups, I never kicked for a lack of skill or experience, only if I saw an MF parrot or someone pinged MF gear on entry >_>

My point is, the Invasion not appearing on overflows was fixed days ago and should be in the patch notes, though you still need to be in the map within 10 minutes of activation otherwise there will be no active event.

I’ve done this at least twice on each map over the weekend but I’m still at 12/13. I’ve also noticed that you don’t get medal credit for some of the events in each phase if you start helping when the event bar is already 50% down.

Something seems a tad strange here. A progress section in the achievements panel letting me know which map it was would be awesome.

Stop whining. You have no solid argument here, it’s just plain whining and tantrum throwing.

It doesn’t take a ‘hardcore’ player or ‘mad skills’ to click on a waypoint on the invasion map as soon as it is updated. What is so difficult about logging on 5 minutes before the next hour and using a waypoint to go over to the map that is updated?

Yes, I know, ’I’m casual, I have a family, I have a life, unlike YOU GUYS’ – great! So does a billion other people in the world. If you have to go do something so generic on a weekend, like visit your SO’s family in the mountains, zone into an invasion map on the hour before you leave, complete a few events in the first phase, then go AFK. Reward will be waiting once you log back in when you’re back home.

Of course you’re not going to be able to complete the invasion if you zone in after 10 minutes. The event takes about 45 minutes to complete so it has to start within 10 minutes, otherwise the event cycle won’t work properly.

I’m 12/13 for Invasion Canceler and I’ve given up because I don’t have all day to sit and zone in to each map. Tough kitten, no point crying about it.

If you get something ridiculous like 20 minutes per day to play, then maybe you should pick up an Indie game on Steam.

Just pug. The path has been nerfed and is way easier. As for the guy above, paying for the DM title… Lame.

Something seems to be wrong here. You don’t need 5 different maps to progress the story content. You only need different maps for the 13/13 Invasion Stopper achievement.

Make sure you get into the invasion map a few minutes after it starts, tag an event, and go AFK for a bit to do the things you need to do. Come back in 45 and you should be at 5/5.

Actually no, it’s not your game. You paid for the right to participate in Arenanet’s game. This is not a single-player game which you own after purchasing.

It sounds like OP actually IS participating by doing one event and going AFK. If everyone did this and the invasion failed, it still counts towards you completion.

OP, and everyone else purchased their own copy of the game, so they can ‘participate’ in it any way they like which does NOT involve cheating, hacking, or exploiting. I don’t see what OP, and many others in that situation are doing wrong.

Call whining what you want man. It’s just frustrating that me having the intention of playing the event as it’s meant to be, is countered by farmers like you Groonz. I can live with the fact their are farmers. But it’s anoying when they block the way for people who want the game to be played as it’s meant to be.

I just found out that even failing counts (somehow?) as a succes so it isn’t that bad. It’s still an issue though.

It’s not an issue, get over it.

Champion farmers want to play the game how they want to play it. You didn’t buy the game for them, so what’s the big deal?
Maybe they’ve played the game longer than you have and couldn’t care less about non endgame content, which is why they farm instead of do events for… karma.

Frankly speaking this is one of the more enjoyable mini-games I’ve played yet. Love the “Hunger Games” theme and it is one I was getting into rather well. I am not all that great (best I’ve done is 3rd so far), but I must admit to enjoying it.

It’s actually easier to solo if you’re a glass cannon, check the thread out about T4 trials.

Practice the paths. Path 4 is really not an issue any more and most guilds groups actually blaze through it. I can’t wait for this patch.

Everyone on Guild Wars 2 can’t just expect to be able to be good at everything straight away or expect Arena Net to nerf everything so everybody wins.

Yes, it would be a nice addition. I can’t be bothered trying to get groups together to go through SM with my alts, because half the time I can’t get one.

The new patch might make them popular, but a solo option would be nice, yes. I don’t like having to rely on others to progress through things, especially stories.

I’d definitely rather an inexperienced PVT Guardian who falls over here and there as opposed to a Longbow/Shortbow Ranger, who has experience standing in Healing Springs and stuff.

I hardly ever pug dungeons, for obvious reasons.

I threw 3 AC GSs and 1 TA GS into the forge and out came a Dawn. I already had a Dawn at this point as a guildie sold me one for real cheap.

After this, I’ve thrown in hundreds of rare swords and used many dungeon tokens to gamble exotics, have not had anything since.

They have multiple options for dailies so if you don’t have time, you don’t have to do the Fractal daily.

With the amount of options available, it seems like a pure use up to join a group then leave when your daily is done. Poor attitude.

I think there is 10 options for dailies, it’s not like Arena Net is forcing you to do the Fractal for for your daily.

Any mate and his dog know how to run this dungeon. There is no science to it.

This dungeon has a community of its own and it is full of terrible players who don’t know anything but CoF.

That was really sad and unnecessary.

The class is really not that bad, it’s just the idiots who don’t know how to use them i.e. Crossfire + Healing Spring + Crossfire + Healing Spring + Crossfire.

A useless addition to any party.
