Can anyone report how the patch has affected Ele burst?

Confirmed that scepter dagger, is in my opinion very viable again, if you play it well all melt to your aoe and single target pressure! wohoooooo no more boring S/F

o/ Very interested in what people are thinking of running after patch.
As a roamer i really hope S/D becomes viable and not outdone by S/F, absolutely love the playstyle and close range burst. My thinking is that the 30 in water i will be able to get will make it survivable enough for a viable burst spec.
Would love to hear your guys/girls thoughts

Hi there, after a hiatus from Gw2 me and my roaming partner are coming back, he will be guardian gs/hammer shout heal etc. However am not devoted to any particular class at the moment. What do you feel is the best combo with guardian in roaming wvw outnumbered. Thanks in advance o/

blah blah utility is all they are good for yeah i agree to a point however there has to be something other than TW and Null field and veil. I am at a loss on builds for raiding and going against blobs, any ideas would be great

This will give you the latest 340.52 download. It’s recommended you uninstall your existing drivers first.

A 550ti isn’t a very powerful card. It’s fallen below medium-range by todays standards as you can buy a card roughly twice as powerful for £100 (~$150). So that on a 1080p is most likely the cause of your FPS issues beyond driver issues.

Remedies are obviously to turn down in game settings. Reflections / shadows are fairly big offenders in GW2. If at the lowest and you still feel you need more FPS you may want to consider lowering resolution / enabling subsampling. Subsampling maintains UI fidelty but you may find particularly ugly.

Self Ignition.1640:

Previously you were playing on an old monitor (probably with low resolution; 1600×900 ?). Now, when a 1080p monitor is plugged in, game renders at the monitors native resolutions, which is 1080p. Given this example, its ~50% increase of gpu load and probably in cpu too. I assume this is the case.

8gb of ram
i5-2500k cpu 3.30ghz.
Also i am not sure about the drivers. If there is anyone to update all drivers i would love to know how. Thanks

Why would you think that a change in an output device like a monitor would make any difference? That’s like putting VR rated tires on your minivan and expect it to go faster.

Mind giving me a reason as to why this happens that, currently that’s all i’ve got

Hi there, so, when first built my gaming computer i used a small screen i found lying around, it worked fine and my fps was stable and high in my main game (Guild wars 2). Then i switched to a screen, still very old but it seemed to work great. Then i started noticing some FPS drops whenever water animations, smoke, or fire came up, sending my FPS crashing from 120+ to 40…. So i decided to buy a new, expensive monitor 1980×1080 and i am having exactly the same FPS troubles. I have searched what seems like every page of google for a solution and none have come, i have no idea why a bigger screen/higher resolution would effect only those certain things on my game. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Hi there, i have played ele since launch and have a pretty decent rig. Ever since the texture update to the water attunement it drops my frames from about 90 down to 50 ish, which when you are, like i am in pvp 99% of the time can get pretty frustrating with key dodges ect. If anyone could suggest anything it would be highly appreciated, thanks:).

PS: i know many will snort at me complaining about 50 frames however it doesn’t feel right that it makes my fps drop more than a zerg from an attunement swap thanks

Hi there, i am just starting to level my 7th 80 which is a ranger, i love the playstyle of the tank condi spec in pvp, with sword dagger, axe torch. It’s completely my playstyle and will fit in my usual roaming group in WvW, only problem is i have no idea how to start building it, if anyone has a build showing armour and traits ect, that would be extremely helpfull Thanks and happy rangering

Hi there, my friend runs a healway spec, very supportive ect, up untill now i have always played d/d ele, however it’s starting to bore the living poop out of me, we roam in a group of 2-5 in wvw, and i just can’t work out what would work best with this spec. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, i run the game on all high and it’s stays above 100 frames per second however the second i switch to water attunement on my ele or if a water field is blasted ect my fps drops from 100 down to as low kitten, i have tried switching every setting however none have worked thus far, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, i have grown tired of my D/D build for havoc roaming, usually jumping into zergs with 2 others and making a great deal of people die, although d/d is perfect for this and for solo roaming which i enjoy as it has become very comon i just want to change things up. For my s/d i would wish to be able to stay alive, deal a good amount of damage whilst being able to solo and group roam with the same build. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks

I roam in a group of 3-5 and regularly run riot on borderlands, taking out groups double our size n good stoof like that however that was when i played my ele and i have just fallen in love with mesmer ( i am experienced 300 hours) but i am looking for a shatter build, no pu kitten and want to hit hard while surviving with a decent amount of mobility, currently have traveler runes, i also am not sure on weapon sets, i like gs but not sure bout the other hand, any input would be great o/

Hi, i really want to start playing guard however i can’t stand the playstyle of full clerics and was wondering if there where some high damage semi tanky builds i could have a go with, i like using hammer/gs and usually roam in groups of 3-5 taking on groups double our size, any input would be great!

Me and a couple of guildies run a regen build, using some celestial and soldiers gear, you hit hard with high might stacks and stay high health with 2500 armour 20k hp and 800 healing, its a great way to play an in my opinion completely viable, easily winning 1v2s and 1v3s if you are a tad better really fun and great way to play if you want to know any more i am on piken – Tovarg spokk

i would go for this.Some changes can be made if you want.
Such as,swap all runes to melandru,get -dondi food and Geomances Freedom instead of Rock solid

Hi there, so i have finally decided, after 1.3k hours i am going to stay on ele, this for me is big as i have never decided to stick with a class. I run in groups of 3-5 taking on small zergs 10-15 and occasionally solo roam, i don’t want to be squishy, however i like seing big numbers and because of this i have chosen s/d. i really would love a build that would hit HARD take some damage in return and not down fast and have decent swiftness uptime which is key for kiting zergs, if anyone had any advice or builds for me that would be greatly appreciated o/

Hi there, i main an engineer and have recently been playing with my 5 man guild group, often we pick off small zergs 10-12 guys is reasonable for us or we just run round have small fights with groups similar size to ours. And of course i want to be as effective as possible, so i would love a build that could cleave with ranged damage but still be effective 1v1 and 1v2’s, if anyone has any ideas i would love to know them, thanks alot in advance :)

hi, so i have been playing gw2 for 10 months now (since release) and have never had any major troubles with anything, but about 3 days ago i started randomly having mini dces that would lead up to me disconnecting from the game, i spoke to support who in the end just told me to speak to my internet provider, but it isn’t that! it is only this game as when i use a speed tester my connection half’s in speed only on this game, any others are fine so please any ideas or anything to help me? i miss my guild lots ;( thanks guys
