Hi,
Ele elite skills, tornado specifically, is triggering every time it’s on CD.
Things I’ve tried, switched to a bare bones keyboard, unplugged mouse and keyboard entirely. I’ve triple checked my key bindings and reset to defaults a few times. Set my 0 key to something other skill. It’s been triggering for several hours now.

I’ve recorded youtube vids before any they sounded great, but sometimes, it just isn’t loud enough. But switching to weapons and using skills and then back to the instrument can have a dramatic effect on the volume, from no sound to the level I’d expect it when I have it maxed. I checked my headset and it’s just set on stereo, but I’ve set it into my 7.1 sound system with no change in volume in any of the satellites.

Edit 2.0: the instrument is not ambient, you can move the sliders and hear the change in volume in real time. I checked that already

Player instruments are suddenly quiet. I recorded a video a week ago and compared the relative sound levels, and its way way off. Currently, the background wind of hoelbrak is louder than my instrument, and I have environ sounds at half, and instruments at max. Bell is the worst, with everything except player instrument at lowest, and that at max, it is still hard to hear. My computer volume was also pretty high, louder than I usually play at.
Anyone else notice this? I’d like the relative sound of instruments TO BE ABLE to sound as loud as everything else. If people don’t like them, they can always lower their own player instrument volume slider or mute it.

I’d be happy if celestial got knocked down a bit, it’s a little too OP currently, if it lost some crit dmg, and didn’t get a boost in the other stats, I’d be glad. Remember ALL crit dmg is getting reduced, so celestial shouldn’t get a stat boost when things like zerker are also getting nerfed slightly and no stat boost for it.

The first infinite tools cost 800, and got a free conversion to acct bound.
And yes, the best solution would be to offer an upgrade fee of 200 gems. This counts for any items that they release, then offer an upgraded one, IE salvage bot from basic to fine.

I have huge trust issues over the gem store with Anet now because of this. I grabbed the infinite tool set when it was 800 and the salvage bot. Tool skins don’t russel my jimmies all that much, but I don’t think I’ll ever buy anything utilitarian off the gem store ever again, knowing that it can easily be one upped at any time. Granted, watchwork sprockets aren’t super valuable, but this opens the door for a future of other expensive items. Remember how expensive sprockets were on release, I do. Where’s the limit, will there be a salvage bot that salvages like the fine salvage, or journeyman kit instead of the basic we have now. I love my salvage bot, that’s why I spent dollars for it, along side all the tools. Had I known in a years time we’d get a better one, I’d have kept my money till then, even if I had to pay more gems. If I could pay a small upgrade fee like an extra 200 gems (1000 – 800) for it then I’d be ok with everything, but that’s never gonna happen.
This game has no equity, no stable value. If I buy a house, and pay my mortgage, then sell it, I can get cash value for it, and go buy a new house. If I craft ascended/exotic armor I can never sell it, it has no cash value anymore, that house just sits and rots. That money vanishes, which is a great money sink, but this means I expect my top tier things to stay top tier for a while, otherwise why pay extreme amounts of money (silk bolts… 100 per t7 mat instead of 50, oh and now it takes 3 scraps instead of 2 per bolt) for the best stuff. This slap in the face isn’t a singular occurrence, but seems like the reigning philosophy behind their marketing strategy. Anet will always rapidly make your BIS stuff, not. Great way to inspire people to spend money, constantly threaten them with better stuff in the future.
Might as well wait on legendary armor. Ascended is all released, apart from maybe jewelry crafting or food (who knows?), now it’s just a wait for legendary armor. Sure it’ll have the same stats as ascended, but you’ll be able to change those stats on a whim, which is everything. Plus it’s guaranteed BIS ( best in slot), which means you wont get hosed if they make “T8” stuff. That’s the piece of mind I expected from my salvage bot and tools, which I now realize is bunked.

I’m not wealthy, but I do ok. Crafting my weapons was expensive, but ok. This thing about silk is insane. Silk went from 2 scraps per bolt to 3. AND you need 100 bolts. I prepared for some expensive crafting, but this is insane. The silk alone is driving costs way too high. None of the mats for light armor crafting can be harvested. I know this has been said, but it NEEDS FIXING.
The unfortunate thing about it is, even if they fix the problem, I’ve already spend the money and used up my reserves of silk. Anets, “hands off” policy should only apply when they don’t MORE THAN DOUBLE the silk requirement for a bolt of damask.

I’d like to see celestial armor and weapons have slight decrease in crit dmg. Zerk on the other hand I believe to be balanced with the other triple stat armor/weaps. All the triple stats have their benefits and down sides, but all in all, it’s more fair than celestial, which is basically, you get everything AND insane crit dmg.
TL;DR
Keep zerk as it in now, decrease celestial crit dmg by a little bit across the board.

I’m a huge fan of warrior HS and Ele signet of restoration, makes my life easier.
I used to think that things were not always BIS for armor and weapons with specific classes. I hate what celestial stats has done for the game, you can have all those good stats, on top of high crit dmg and crit chance. Seems like all classes have strong meta builds with celestial. Makes everything blasé, which counts towards healing skills. I like passive healing, the way it is now, no nerf. In fact think eles SOR needs a little flat boost, not scaling on some junk healing power from celestial.

Crashing at least 5-8 times a day, sometimes due to huge wvw zergs, but also just running around. Uptime between crashes ranges between 11 mins and 3 hours.
I attached my whole log file and other diagnostics.

All T1 servers have queues, that’s never going to change.
Not going to lie, winning the inaugural WvW season will be a highlight of my recent GW2 experience.
I do wish transfers were locked a few weeks before the start of the season, but that’s not really fair to everyone else who doesn’t play wvw.
I don’t think any of the T1 servers will die.
Sure BG did help some guilds with transfer costs, and so did many other servers. BG has been a strong contender since as long as I can remember. Week 1 is proof that the match was fair.

I recall some dev talking about new legendary weapons “before the end of 2013.”
I was wondering if anyone had any REAL, (ie… dev posts) updates on it.
Things like, will every weapon type get a new legendary?
When might we get a picture of them?
Has anyone been able to hone in on the time when any of this will be told to us?
The reason I ask is because I’ve been gathering/buying items to make a Bifrost. I don’t really love the look of it, but I don’t hate it either, and if it’s the only available staff legendary for the next year or so, I’ll probably end up making it. But I’d hate to spend half a year casually gathering mats and make it, only to find that two weeks later, a legendary staff becomes available that I lake more.
I’m not demanding anything or whining, just askin’
if anyone knows more than I do.

Way to much abuse potential there. It’s just really that simple.
As for the buff, it makes no sense, for either side to have it. If a team pushes hard, they don’t deserve a buff that allows them to reign over the map. ALSO, if a team gets shut down constantly, they also don’t deserve a buff to make them more “equal”. The problem of unequal population is already mostly addressed by the tier structure.
You only capture what you can capture with the number of people you field in the map. No assistance by way of buff for anyone, ever.

Not just a skin, its always BIS, which means any legendary owner probably doesn’t care as much about this patch, in terms of panicking about acquiring an ascended weapon, as people without one. If you own the legendary weapons you want to use, and don’t really give a hoot about alts, then you never have to worry about new tiers of weapons, then you are set for life.
Plus it’s more flexible, pick any stat when you want. AWESOME

I, and perhaps, a few others, raged at a few guilds for scheduling GvG in wvw during primetime.

The scale of the buying power of the currency doesn’t really make sense. Guilds would probably just save up enough to speed up stronghold upgrades and let the other stuff fall by the way side.

I hate the idea of more game spam. I use the map feature every 10-20 seconds anyway.

You can do that last part, it’s called supply. If you want swiftness, just buff ’em.

Again, more game spam. I don’t need to know at 4 am that a few JQ are ramming down greenlake. I love wvw, but sometimes I just don’t give a hoot.
If you want more options, IMO, add more things to spend supply on. All those “mini” upgrades you want, 2 supply each. IE, perma-speed buff just one caravan, 2 supply.(or what ever amount)

Yes, I do feel that this end game content is becoming boring, then I remember that it’s all I did for two weeks in a row and realize it’s my fault. But seriously, having been #1 in tier 1 for a while and being #2 in tier 1 this week, I realized that the rewards for slaving over wvw just aren’t that tangible. I like competition, but sometimes I catch myself thinking, " I just spend 4 hours taking hills and in another few hours, while no one is on the map, it’s going to get rammed down by some pugs.
I would care if the rewards of wvw justified the time spent over each little detail, each camp, each yak supply. But that can’t work, taking SM during NA primetime takes hours and is, IMO, worth a huge reward. But flipping it at 8 am isn’t really THAT hard. Rewards would need to scale to the number of players on the map, which is hard to do.
The other thing I hate is playing the same line-up every week. I haven’t a clue how much variation other tiers get, but I’ve been facing JQ and SoR forever. If being in T1 only comes with bragging rights, then it’s time for a changed system. Maybe the servers get bracketed in groups of 6 and they are randomly assigned line-ups, to make 2 1v1v1’s . I don’t know, something different.

I’m all for T7 mats, but having just recently gotten all the infinite gathering tools, I hope I will be able to use them to get the new mats. I know the tooltip says “used to mine all metals” but I just hope that’s still true .(assuming that the new mats have a node)
I’d hate to have purchased them and then a week later, have them no longer be the end-all-be-all tool I got it for.
But enough of that tangent. I’d like the new weapons to be tradeable, I don’t want to have to craft to get ascended weapons. I’d be decently happy with a market price of 20-30 G (after the huge initial market shock). I can agree with laurals for trinkets only because they come from the daily, which isn’t ALL combat related. PLUS some trinkets can be gained from fractals/guild commendations/ laurals+WvW tokens, which I love because each player can approach getting the ascended trinkets in the way they want to.

I don’t have a commander tag, mostly because my guild has dozens and dozens, and I don’t have the money. But I’ve been around WvW for a long time and know the in’s and out’s of what the tag does.
I don’t think commanders should have abilities that reward players for being near them, IE bonus healing, boons. But I do like the idea of them being able to place markers, both waypoints on the map and physical, that show what the commander is trying to accomplish, ie where to attack or defend. They would of course have to only be visible to one server.
As for communication, I don’t know if all servers have their own unofficial teamspeak or ventrillo, ( or similar) WvW channels, but most do. Nearly all prime time successful map conquests occur because several commanders are linked by voice chat not only with their followers, but also a side voice chat the other commanders. Sure some commanders don’t use these systems, but the majority of them do. A chat channel in game only for commanders, IMO, would just be another tab or chat color that they would have to check, being both redundant and distracting.
Voice chat is far superior to type chat, and since GW2 doesn’t support native voice chat, it seems very unlikely that commanders will ever have voice chat provided in-game. I would love in game voice chat, but I don’t think it’s in the plan.
Different colors of commander tags would be useful. Colors of tags could be assigned randomly as a commander tags up. To avoid the background map affecting visibility of the tag, I think the tags should have a small boarder around the tag that never changes color.
This may also promote commanders spamming their tag on and off to get their favorite color, but that might be solved in a different way, maybe by limiting the number of times you can tag up in a period of time. Say no more then 3 re-tags inside of a minute.
I think commanders being able to delegate temporary, map visible “officers” would be an abuse of the system. If you want to be visible on the map, spend the 100G, ( no alternative, like badges or recipes). Maybe, and that’s a strong maybe, commanders can select one person to have a small icon, of some shape, above their head that is only visible within sight, so the mini map and large map don’t get crowded with icons. But still allows commanders to split their forces. While this is similar to targeting, it allows more flexibility during battle when you can’t always select the “team leader”.
Also I don’t think commanders should be able to move anyone or discipline them, again, abuse of the system.

^This statement assumes way too much knowledge of the player base, it’s not all about combat for some.
Let people decide how they want to enjoy their game by giving them choice.
I think MF should be listed as a boon, to allow easy visibility, and perhaps disabling it in dungeons.
But I definitely want to keep it for general PvE, plus I would absolutely hate having to spend a ton of laurels on pithy MF valued infusions. I already have to spend/save a ton of laurals for my ascended gear anyway, AND their infusions. (because fractals suck to grind).
TL;DR: KEEP MF at current values for PvE at least, and as it’s own stat, just the way it is now.

JQBL Hills, those Ac’s were clearing siege on the ground way behind the wall. Same thing happened at north inner gate. That particular Ac was almost hitting the bridge from the north. It’s a zoom hack similar to SAB zoom hack…. it will get patched soon, so don’t get used to it.

I agree with Zikory. I’ve seen plenty of exploits on all sides, from every server I’ve ever faced, but more so in the past, since Anet is shoring up the holes as time goes on. It happens to everyone. You aren’t special. Cheating is terrible, most people get that. Cheaters are in the minority, coincidentally, so are people who read forums

I have so much love for our Oceanic and EU coverage. I know the NA prime time guys are awesome too, but I think we forget to thank those guys. They turned our 500+ PPT but -5K lead, into a + 10K lead overnight for the win this week. Good job everyone.

I’m so glad we all got that out of our system. If you are looking for a good way to rate your wvw performance, HEY I KNOW, Anet has this cool little point system, it shows things like total points and how many points you get per period of time. Cool right, and here’s the best part, if you like where you are at in the points, cool, but if you don’t, you can fight for it. These match ups aren’t determined in a few hours, so who gives a flying pancake who wiped who, the end result is the end result. You only get to gloat on Friday, or Thursday night if you are ahead by a huge margin.
