Last I checked, a whole lot of people do not like Blizzard Entertainment. Things like that is what we would call, being awful to your customers.

Use that link to submit a ticket to a GM.
It takes a couple of days but the sooner you get it in the sooner you’ll be satisfied
When you submit your ticket, send screenshots too (if the form allows). The GM who contacts you will want screens of the error and what you’re doing just before it.

I’ve reinstalled the game in full including the small pvp patch today, but I get an error msg telling me that my login info is incorrect whenever I try to log in. As you can see, I’m able to use my email/pw to log in here.

Anyone else having this issue?

Yep I’ve got access to all the points in Mistfire Wolf’s tier, but that skill is inaccessible.

Isn’t the cast time on the third strike longer because it hits harder?

Technology doesn’t mean computer chips and laser beams. It just means an applied knowledge. A spoon is technology. So is a chair.

This would make sense, Xy. It’s certainly not unheard of for games to use hidden mechanics. WoW, for example, seems to have a lot of secret math going on.

Do the weapons/tools that your character uses with different kits (ie wrench, grenades, flamethrower) derive their dps from your equipped MH/OH weapons? Or is the dps value of the kits derived from your total power only?

With the 5 point talent from firearms that causes bleeds, my Engi gets pretty bloody. That along with rocket kick (burns) and grasping roots is really good for burning down single targets quickly.

After almost a week of playing, I wasn’t sure what ‘best’ even meant in this game. Shame on you for shaming new players in the Players Helping Players forum.

This perplexed me at first too, OP.
Just go to a major city (or sometimes a smaller post) and find ANY CRAFTING STATION.
They all serve as banks!

I’ve only played a short time after 8 years of WoW, and I can’t express enough how true DreamyAbaddon’s words are when applied to this game. It truly does not matter what class you choose, except that you enjoy it. Unlike WoW, there is no master OP class in GW2, no strict roles either.
My best advice as a GW2 noob to another is to try a few proffs (classes) and then choose one to be your ‘main’. You can enjoy the game equally using each proff.

This is the set I elected to use.

I just bought the game last week, and upon creating my first character I was awarded a promotional full set of armor of my choice, to be worn by (presumably) my first toon. Coming from WoW, I just saw it as a freebie BOA set.

Could people like me be the ones you’re seeing?

I have discovered that the percentage is that of total files REMAINING and not files in total. Kind of counter-intuitive, but now I get it. Keeping this post up in case someone else has a the same issue!

I see that the gw2.dat file is about 7gb, but the downloader appears to be just starting at 0% and piling new data into the same gw2.dat file. I still don’t know what to do, though…
Any advice would be appreciated!

….at 20% progress. I expected to resume downloading at 20%, but it shows 0%. What am I doing wrong here?
