I’m gonna be the only one who disagrees on the warhorn being bad. The water skills you gain are superior healing skills compared to any other weapon skills. The other elements are nice for utility too. If you talk about raw damage then they are underwhelming ofcourse. But in PvP warhorn’s support is awesome.
It’s very irritating and frustrating when someone has left a match and there is no possible way to get a replacement for that person. It basically gives you an auto-loss. Is there no way to introduce what I just mentioned?
Of course I also want Anet to create new armors outside the BLTC, but because it’s unavoidable that they release new sets in the BLTC to earn some extra money (in the form of outfits now). I just want those to become armor again instead of outfits.
Topic title says it all. I want more armor sets to be able to mix and match. The main problem is that I can’t equip one of the many cool helm skins with an outfit.
Who freaking cares about names of specializations, it’s about the gameplay
In Guild Wars 1 they made random arena’s and team (premades) arena’s separate. I seriously don’t have any clue why they still haven’t done this in Guild Wars 2. I’m quite experienced but my win rating went down as madness, because of terrible teams and matchmaking (premades and people thinking they can win conquest by holding only mid and killing people there).
But it’s not ranked and besides u need tokens if I’m right, so no one plays it.
Too many times when you play ranked pvp in the regular conquest mode it seems like people don’t understand this mode and are just looking for a fight. They ignore the main objective of capping shrines or points. I was just thinking, why not add a ranked Death Match mode, which people can join, just purely to test their strength instead of ignoring the objectives (which often seem to complicated for many people, which end up in frustration for people really trying to focus on the conquest part of the regular pvp mode). I would love to play it myself too and with me many others.

Magni the Bison
This game will never live as long as Guild Wars 1, which stands at 10 years and still running. All living world releases together aren’t even expansion-worthy by far in my eyes. Most added content is just small and meaningless with boring storytelling. This game needs an expansion with better storytelling and A LOT more new skills and some new professions, since everyone plays the same build, before it’s bleeding a silent death. If they will release something at about 5 years it will be too late. I won’t be playing it anymore alongside many others and then an expansion won’t bring me back.
Why not make dressing yourself the way you like completely free, with all the skins you have unlocked..?
I really don’t like the new update to unlock the traits by exploring or killing specific things. There’s no other option than to just explore very bit of the world to unlock them since every trait is way too expensive to buy from the trainer. What was wrong with the old system..? I can probably see that my character will never unlock some traits because of this which I hate, but I also hate the whole grind that is involved in unlocking the traits… It’s a lose – lose situation. Please reverse the update. Or only make us grind for the new grandmaster traits as a solution.

Scarlet is in no chance a minion of Mordremoth. She got mad by Mordremoth that keeps calling in her head which drove her insane. The last sentence in the journal basically says that she wanted to get rid of Mordremoth: ‘’It communicated with me through images of death, destruction, and destiny. I must know more. I must confront it and put an end to this madness.’’
We probably kill Scarlet and then we’ll be too late to stop the dragon since he will awake
If they bring Cantha and Elona back, which I really hope, they should make it recognizable. And not make it entirely different from what it was. And they should definitely build it around one big villain and not 20 minor villains. GW 2 was supposed to be centered around the dragons, well we fought Zhaitan and that’s it. Even that boring Scarlet seems to have more impact and influence on the world.

Guild Wars 2 villain’s don’t even come close to the epicness of the villains in Guild Wars 1. Scarlet and all other villains are nothing compared to the Lich, Shiro, Varesh or (I don’t like this quite as much as the 3 I mentioned before this one) the Great Destroyer.
I couldn’t find any skill updates and balancing in the patchnotes. Can anyone tell me why? :p

I think forcing people to craft causes gaps between players. I’d rather quit playing than to enjoy the game to it’s fullest if it requires you to craft stuff.

If they would just add some really hard and unique dungeons and make the last boss have a chance to drop such ascended weapons it would be much better. And then I’m not talking about 1 or 2% but earlier like 10/20%. This would promote the game to a more social MMO. I got the feeling that Anet wants to innovate too much but by doing that they’re creating a bigger distance with the genre every update. MMO’s are about going with groups to slay stuff for loot and upgrading your character simply said. Just like it was in Guild Wars 1 which I didn’t have problems with.

The first point I’m wondering. Anet once said, a few years ago that they didn’t like the whole crafting thing as it was in all mmo’s. I’m not seeing any difference since it’s still a terrible, not fun, time consuming activity I like to avoid in Guild Wars 2.
With the upcoming patch it seems like there’s no avoiding crafting anymore. I think it’s an awful decision to make the new ascended gear only available through crafting. Yes yes, people say you don’t really need to have those ascended gear cause they’re a little bit better than exotics. Well.. if you count 6 armor pieces with some weapons, the difference will be quite significant.
Why wasn’t it just possible to make the better and new gear available through ‘fun’ activities. Make them available at dungeon vendors for higher prices than exotics as a simple alternative which still isn’t much fun. I just can’t believe it, it’s only starting to create a distance between me and the game, and make me think people have to much advantage over me. And to be honest.. who in this world seriously enjoys crafting…?

They should really add this. People are afraid this pvp thing will be chaotic but with a maximum of 2 v 2 it should really be possible.
‘(and no the reveal is not an expansion!)’
That basically confirms there will be an expansion, although it may not come soon. It shows that they know that there’s a huge amount of players that demand an expansion. They can’t avoid it if they don’t want lots of people to be dissapointed in the future.
I agree, would love to see some sets return in GW 2.
I just want my champion genius title, 20 more wins and pvp won’t see me again. Terrible matchmaking + constant leavers and leechers did it for me. Why would you play for leaderboards if it doesn’t say kitten anyway, since other people screw things up for me.
Games in soloq are so frustrating, you can’t rely on your team at all. In hopeless games you’re also forced to sit them out which is even more frustrating since tourneys last long. Why not give people the option to resign and skip a match when it’s hopeless.
If only I would be able to see Shing Jea back as an explorable Island I would alrdy be kitten happy. They can’t ignore factions like it never has existed…
I hear a lot of people complaining about the matchmaking. I also get more irritated each day with some people I team with. Some people just run around like headless chickens. What I was wondering; why not let people face each other with equal ranks; deer vs deer, dolyak vs dolyak? Maybe not a lot of people are Phoenix so far but with higher ranks it’s safe to combine like Phoenix with sharks.
The system right now just doesn’t work..
Syncing is for noobs who lack confidence in their own skills.
Nope, it’s true. Lots of uncreative idiots use necro’s and rangers and copy paste condi + minion builds and spirit builds cause they are easy to play with and are simply overpowered. It’s just plain boring to see the same prof over and over, and it shows a lack of balancing to see such little diversity with professions and builds.
funny guy, I don’t got space for 3 stun breaks AND 3 condi removal, and anyone who denies that necro’s and rangers aren’t the most played class in pvp is just plain stupid. And ok they cannot throw all conditions in 2 skills, just like 9 condi’s with long durations.. and spectre wall isn’t that easily avoidable too. They could also make mesmer phantasms hit double, then all you abandon ur necro’s to abuse phantasms, most morons here copy paste meta op builds anyway.
I laugh at anyone’s face who thinks necro’s are balanced, you’re just a bunch of lazy idiots. Nothing is balanced about 6 seconds fear + all conditions applied in 2 skills. There is no way to respond to that except by letting every other class invest in massive condition removal. It has become a lazy kittenclass, not needing any skills to win. Why else are 80% of the players necro’s or rangers in tpvp? Nerf fear or throw burning out of the traits. Pvp is just not fun anymore with these stupid balancing issues all the time.
Not long ago in the article with the plans for the future of pvp, someone working at anet said that you were busy with making better rewards for pvp.
Today I won a match and got lower rewards than before the patch; from 200 glory and rank points I went to 150!
Thanks all for your normal feedback, so almost none of you think engi’s lack overall compared to other profs?
My conclusion is that there isn’t one thing engi’s shine in, more than other professions; condi damage is done by necro’s 3 times better. Other damage by power and crit damage; mesmers, thiefs, wars and eles do this better, survivability is higher with guardians, mesmers, necro’s and eles… What’s left besides that..?
I have played all professions in spvp and tpvp and have gotten over 80 wins now in tpvp with my engy. But seriously engineers are the ONLY prof that require 30 traitpoints invested in toughness, but when they do that they eventually lack pure dmg. It’s possible to combine with condi dmg but there are almost no other viable options.
Am I the only one thinking this way or do you guys experience the prof differently?
I’ve been thinking a lot lately on how Anet could possibly remake the profession Ritualist. And yes people say Ritualists can’t be migrated in the game, since they will look too much like an Engineer (bundles made into kits and spirits made into turrets) or they are too similair to necromancers. But I think it’s possible to make an unique profession, here’s an idea:
Spirits
I think the spirits can return to Guild Wars 2. One idea was to let the different spirits fly around the caster not as targetable enemy’s . They stay around for some time and have a longer cooldown. Spirits can introduce some new sort of mechanic:
- Spirits are not targetable, one spirit can last for like 30 seconds and recharges at 50 secs?.
- Spirits defend the caster as long as the caster has like 80/100% health. While spirits are guarding or in defensive mode the ritualist gains boons every few seconds (5 sec regen every 8 secs?)
- When the Ritualist has under 80% health, the spirit becomes enraged for … secs and will cast damaging effects (maybe that spirit can open several ‘Spirit Rifts’ which causes damage in those areas)
- Thats the idea of one spirit, but like other utility’s, u can have 4/5 different spirits.
I thought this was a pretty good idea, post below if you think it’s a good or impossible idea, and if you maybe have other ideas that could be implemented in the profession.

Scythes are already in the game; stakitten in the shape of a scythe
Hell yeah, I would love to see my white kitten tear up some mini’s
Give me a ritualist and let their awesome armor return!
Let the paragons return, it was so awesome to throw spears. And you also got one more heavy class then:)
A month ago I got my full medium AC armor. I didn’t had much trouble getting it. Only the final boss in path 2 can be a pain with a kittenty unorganised party.
I always try to keep them stunned, first I Always throw a supply drop on their heads, then throw my overcharged net turret which stuns them again, meanwhile I kill them with conditions. Works against any class in spvp, except tanky eles which are a little harder to kill.
It’s still a terrible and useless utility skill. Utility skills are so important for engi’s, they rely on heavy dmg kits, on life saving elixirs and then u got this crappy skill (that is almost not to be taken seriously) which makes you jump forward, without breaking stuns and crappy damage, it was a joke, and it still is.
I love turrets and especially in spvp. Use a Net turret, and a Rocket Turret and anything in your range is stuck for 5 seconds. I Always get above 200 points playing with my turret engineer.
I’ve said it before but it didn’t got that much attention;
It would be awesome to see some kind of death match or arenas in Guild Wars 2. The pvp in gw 2 right now is all about conquering but it’s not really a concrete or good platform to test individual skills. In Guild Wars 1 it has always been more popular than Alliance battles, so I really don’t understand why the pvp is so limited at the moment.
How are they going to implement huge changes like new professions and races? Cause if those will never come, I’m sure the life of gw 2 won’t be as long as it’s predecessor and I’ll be bored way earlier.
Love that first name (I like the first one with Hellow more) 9/10. My charr engineer is called ‘Smoke Kindlefist’.
They’re just overpowered, no way to deny that. Just stealthing all the time not being able to get hit (o wow by AoE attacks but you can’t even see if you’ve hit them), and then just finishing any class with a few hits by pressing the same button over and over. No need for skills. Oh and just stealth if you want to run from fights and you can’t even be killed too.
I also like to be up to date with what’s coming but it’s also understandable that you can’t leak out possibly false information just like what happened at Diablo 3. They promised pvp and stuff what everybody was looking forward to and now a year later they just simply cancelled it and got thousands of angry people knocking at their door.
and please bring back random arena’s by the way :p
