Covered a lot of points i was feeling, i was thinking reading it that GW2 has changed, in BEta it felt like an episode of friends. Comunication back and forth a feeling that we were part of a team.

Now the game feels like an episode of Sienfield NO LOOT FOR YOU, we keep being told the devs are reading all our comments but any thread pointing out the horrible state of feedback to the players get closed.

If Anet had spent less on people to close and delete posts and more on people to talk to their customers perhaps their customers would be happier?

Sadly because he keeps running the same event tequatel has run up against the DR dissapointed by the drops, the problems with players corpses dissapering before he can loot them and the clipping problems during his fights meaning he gets back stabbed before he can breath on people, tequatel it apears is now using under map botting

The problem with DRB’s is they got tired of floppy eared purple elf land and the grind of a game where every 6 months there is a differnt colored sheep to ride and gear with 0.5% better stats that means you have to throw away all your old stuff and get the new stuff or no one will play with you.

Sadly the DRB’s leave FPE land buy other games and then demand they be changed to be the same as the game they just left.

This game does not have raids it does not have vertical progression ( well almost) it doesnt have mounts and does not and hopefully never will have pandas.

This was all explained many times as the game was developed, if you failed to read a single review before buying the game i am sorry this is not what you expected. However the game is ( for the most part) how I and many others like it, it is unique it breaks the treadmill aproach of just about every game on the market please dont try and change it to a clone of the 50 other games out there go play one of those and let GW2 be GW2.

You bought a Vespa it doesnt do 0-100 in 5 seconds if you dont like that go buy some thing else dont demand everyone else be made to drive a porche.

That said if your playing 2548 hours a year A: no group of devs is going to be able to provide enough content to keep you satisfied B: you need to get out more.

The next big event is the Wizard of Tyria event.

Starts with singing Asura lining a yellow brick path out of Lions Arch.

Its a three part event where you have to find Traherne a brain, find Logan Thackeray’s courage and get Caithe a date.

Its true brooms are carbon neutral especially if you plant a new tree each time you cut one down to make a broom.

What is destroying the climate is the lack of Pirates, those few that are left are in Orr and with the changes are now endangered..

Rather than brooms the gem shop needs more eye patches and shoulder trained parrots if we are going to save the world.

Thief is gonna get Nerfed, too many people say we’re OP for Anet to not do it. And no matter how many people say QQ, its not gonna stop. So the best thing we can do is try to find a nerf that will work, the sooner we do that, the better.

Problem is your treating thieves as the problem the QQ seems to be half from trolls that get their kicks posting garbage and then baiting the people that reply. Thats not a thief problem its just we seem to be the fotm for whines so they come here.

The second group are people with the situational awareness of a rock that dont see a thief coming dont react for a bit after the thief starts attacking then come here with kitten examples of how they got back stabbed for 5,000,000 points by a perma stealthed theif and point out that they are so awesome that the only way a thief could kill them is we are totally over powered.

A thief could be reduce to a single weapon, the wet teabag that they are only allowed to attack with after presenting the opposing player with a 5 page appology and waiting 30 minutes and people would still come here and complain.

If they aren’t going to fix whats needed why will anyone play, as stated above new games are going free to play with less issues and bugs why would anyone want to stay here with important issues not getting looked at..

Nerfing AoEs will be very silly they affect all classes including the insanely weak ones, why will anyone play the game when their classes no longer perform viably..

I’m in total agreement with this, honestly… Arguably one of the biggest issues presented on the forums (open world loot/DR) got zero response from the development team. Bravo. To be honest i am getting confused. all the talk about making open world more rewarding i though Anet had realised we are the salami in the sandwich between poor drops/DR and rapidly increasing cost of equipment. I was expecting news on how playing the game any where but a fractal would become viable. What i was not expecting was that Anets priority is to further reduce our ability to play the game. Orr with out aoe lol.
I read the forums is see what people are asking for then i see what is coming and think what the kitten we have thousands of posts on hundreds of topics and you “fix” some thing i dont even remeber people complaining about i was at first shocked then angry now just sad. The game i so loved when my floppy eared eng first ran out into metrica and went oohhh ahh seems to becoming a TP a cash shop a fashion parade in LA and little else.

3 days play, enough time in game to do 2 70+ map completions, chase dragons, do guild events and play wack-a-mole on events in Orr in the hope of getting some thing to turn into ectos and OMG perhaps a few charged lodestones.

Only worth while items ( ie yellow+ ) were completing to two maps, glad i got those before some one realised map completion can give out rares and nerfed it.

Sad that people need a quest to rez people, i used to knock this off on deer round the owl temple or dead refugees to get the “tick” daily done.

I rez people because it helps some one else and i appreciate it when some one does the same for me.

If the game where we work together has reached the stage where people cant spend 10 seconds rezing some one with out getting some sort of beifit for it there are bigger problems than whats in the daily.

Actually as a long time MMO healer i kinda like the lack of a “healer” i play a guardian and yes i add so many buffs in a group you need a second screen to see them, i ward i heal i regen but im not a “healer” if the warrior charges into 20 mobs and dies its his fault for being an idiot not my fault because i couldnt heal 5 times his health pool in 0.005 seconds

People are used to DPS being all reward and no responsibility, they get agro its the tanks fault, they die its the healers fault now you screw up its YOUR fault no one elses

Programer and Dev time taken away from the game to convert a game from Pve to PVP the cost or balancing in effect two games.

There is a reason why no one does ffa pvp, there is no way to make money off it, Aion died because of it by the time they got rules in to stop the gankers farming newbs in low level zone the population was gone.

There is no way to make pvp ffa with out having basment dwelling low lifes trying to make the experience as unplesant as posible for the rest of the population.

There is no “strong” fan base if there was one there would be half a dozen ffa PvP games on the market

A: Scrap PvP there will never be PvP balance so trying to achieve the impossible just wastes Dev/programer time
B: Make every one in WvWvW a D/D Asuran Ele, class balance solved, you only load one model for every player lag/culling solved, stealth problems solved, pet problems solved.
C: Work on PvE with out breaking things trying to fix “problems” in the other two.

leveling up an alt at lvl 15 i get 5 lvl 14 ranged mobs with aoe and a ton of hit points repair bill for wintersday

Open world, yes i have enjoyed running dungeons, when i was single and my time was my own it was easy to get a couple of uninterupted hours to do nothing but game.

Now i can still manage the same time but it is interupted, i dont think it is fair to ask 4 other people to stand round while i attend to RL maters, BRB Kids trying to shove cat in the oven might be funny the first time but wears out pretty quick.

Open world the worse thing if i go AFK is a repair bill and a waypoint fee im not a problem to any one else.

J) does not use “combat mode” because it actually makes the game more difficult? I run a widow keyboard and corsair m90 mouse and spent about 8 hours tweaking my keybindings. I never have any issues with control, have seen combat mode and understands that it would make me worse, and, by the way, I speed run jumping puzzles, which I define as “holding run 95% of the way through”. I also like the way ground targeting works for a variety of reasons I won’t go into now.

I realize this may be controversial and a lot of beginners might disagree with me. However, I’m an old competitive gamer who’s spent his entire life playing games like this—all the way back to Cosmic Encounter. To give you an idea of how much I like ranger in GW2, I have 1000 hours on my ranger and haven’t even leveled another class passed 60. I am running ~20 fractals and completed my monthly dubs slayings before the first week of the month was up.

Don’t sit here and tell me rangers need this or that. You guys need to quit wasting your time with combat mode and actually get good hardware and set up keybindings. Stop going on here and trying to ruin this class for everyone that likes it. And I don’t want rangers to be able to equip staff.

Grats for being a master ranger im sure there are equivilents of other classes as well who make their class shine despite the flaws.

If a class is balanced you shouldnt have to spend 8 hours tweaking controls to be able to do well at it. If it takes god mode to make the ranger shine then yes it is broken.
Ok a lot of people have not tried hard enough before they complain but an average player should be able to play the game on an average rig and obtain a resonable standard of sucess in game.

Saying your the Lim Yo-Hwan of GW2 rangers there fore nothing need changing because you have perfected the class makes your post come across as a well written and polite version of LTP noobs

There are people who post oh wow put in four swords and got dusk on my first try but a lot more that post they poured their entire wealth in and got nothing.

The chances by any current method are miniscule, best advice is do your map completion, do your clovers, do the WvW and dungeons your gifts of and then think about a precourser.
It might drop along the way and by the time your done there might be another way to get it.

Going out to “farm” your precourser means weeks of not getting it and that sense of dissapointment is probably not good for your enjoyment of the game.

“I don’t like looking for some guys car keys in the snow” sums it up

That armour reminds me of the diving suit in DeepStar Six. It looks like you got it at a discount on account of the last owner being bitten off at the waist.

I try to get fur-exposing armor for my charr characters. When I put in the effort to get their fur coat/pattern just right, I want to be able to see it while I play. Especially from the back, like so. It’s not very sensible though XD

Bare back would be very charr, why worry about armoring part of you the enemy is never going to see

I admit im a slow learner my first toon in GW2 was an engineer, my second a ranger, my third a thief i also tried the others but i realised before the patch that if you Pve on any thing but a warrior your just making things hard for your self.

The devs even used the word “insane” to describe how good warriors are in pve yet another patch with warriors up rangers down and eng still broken.

Ok now i can sit back knowing each patch my soon to be 80 warrior becomes a little more god like rather than worry god whats being nerfed into oblivion this time.
