I personally think that light armor needs more legging type pants, not those skirts. I’m sure it’s just not only me that doesn’t want to wear a skirt so I’m forced to wear the AC pants which have no practical design that would make my elementalist look better.
Also maybe more tops as well, but I don’t mind the current one I have.
k I see a lot of complaints about warrior mobility, k I get it its true once a warrior decides they want out they are miles away, but then comes thieves they stealth and by the time they are unstealthed they are also miles away, I never really came across complaints about theif mobility just curious as to why? don’t forget the fact that there are still perma stealth builds that tease up to 15 players sometimes. I don’t want to shift the complaints to thieves but I couldn’t figure out why warrior mobility is so highly criticized and not thieves. On my engineer,Mesmer, and ranger I usually am able to escape zergs especially with the release of movement runes such as rune of the traveller. However, on all three classes if a warrior decides they want to hunt me down, they can catch up to me but then they are on cooldowns and ultimately I escape. However, if it is a theif I now have to play to make sure I am not hit by backstabs, which is not very realistic when you consider the fact that it may be more than one player chasing you(as if you stop or use about face keybind to avoid backstab other enemy players will close the distance to you). If warriors are overpowering, I do not think limiting their mobility is a necessary nerf.
Thief’s mobility and warrior’s mobility are two different stories.
Thieves can’t soak up damage as much as a warrior can; they’re also meant to be mobile, as their class.
Warriors can soak up damage and output a great amount of damage as well; yet they’re still a pretty mobile class compared to others.
Don’t even bring rangers in here pls
So… Sea of Sorrows anyone??
nah I’m just kidding. Make seasons longer, there’s actually no point to a 7 week season, considering a year is a whopping 52 weeks, making it have many multiple seasons in a year, which is actually, terrible.
20 weeks sounds reasonable, and said before, it provides a balanced matchmaking system than a 7 week system does. Hell, there’s another game that has there season practically as long as another sport.. and you should all know that game by now.
20 weeks provide for 2 season in a year, with an offseason making it more reasonable. Just make the rewards greater. It also kills off any hype given in the first few weeks which create lopsided wins (like the introduction to the achievements)
I’d rather have traps that we could trigger on demand, or when someone walks over it, rather than it is right now where it can only trigger when someone walks over it.
Still not useful enough
As I said in the other state of the ranger thread here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/State-of-the-Ranger-After-major-patch/first#post3033480
State of the ranger?
Nonexistent in any place of the game – PvE, WvW, PvP
This won’t really work to be quite honest.
I can tell you that since the update from one month ago to the update today, not much has changed.
Other than other classes being able to kitten on us even more than ever.
rip rangers lmfa0 we’re a joke guys
I believe that they’re balancing around sPvP, hence why the updates have been.. lackluster.
I was really looking forward to the new things they were going to introduce to our weapons.. but sadly, no. You’d think that as a ranger, our stronger dps would be the bow.. yet.. the sword is probably more viable even if it does root you. The ranger is a jack of all trades, nuff said. Can’t argue about that, even if we’re supposed to be masters or range.. cough
Currently in sPvP, the only viable COMPETITIVE build is the spirit build, yet other classes, except probably engie and ele have a variety to build. In order for us to stay in the competitive scene we build spirit, nothing else.
In WvW, it’s different. Our spirits die in a few hits, our pets get gib’d, and we sit there with 30% of our DPS gone. You can argue that “oh you’re not micromanaging enough” and I can argue back that “there’s nothing to micromanage when your pet gets nuked by aoe’s.”
Quite frankly, the state of the ranger is pretty much nonexistent, except in PvE, but there’s other classes that can do PvE better.. cough warrior/guardian

To the person who made the comparison to a thief: we’re rangers. We’re supposed to be kings/queens of range. The fact that our shortbow is somewhat worse than theirs is just disappointing. Compare our longbow to warriors too if you’d like.
no one uses rangers in organized fights.
Before you fight try switching SoH for Renewal.
Although your setup is good and all, you won’t last much against other condi builds, esp necros w/o a sufficient condi removal, aside from emphatic bond.
The only sad part is that they’re removing evasive purity in approx 2 weeks or so.
^ Actually ele’s are practically the weakest class right now.
Sea of Sorrows..
to the BP and CD that keep trying to kill the Dolyak with a kite, pls, try again
Just logged in, the place is a ghost town now. Lol.
so.. no progress as of yet? =/
yeah… this is not going to go anywhere
Best thing I have seen on Sea of Sorrows main server so far is someone on the turrent facing the opposite direction trying to kill adds :P
edit forgot to mention the adds weren’t anywhere near him/her
#thestruggle
I think the best thing you can do is get everyone registered on one voice comm. This could take some work, but it would help you more than anything.
We’ve tried, but no one would go on. Out of the population of maybe 100 on the map, only 30 average would get on. Even after asking to do so for the entire wait for him to spawn
That’s unfortunate. That’s one of the MOST important things.
Yep.. sadly, that is the state of SoS. No TS communication, afk turrets, afk platformers, our zerg is hardly 30 people, whom half die after the first wave.
Now the main map is never full.
On another note; our SEA/Oceanic dominates WvW, though.. which is probably the only good thing, lol.

There’s nobody in it right now, I don’t think. Only the first and second day where we actually tried using TS. By now everyone has practically given up.
Seriously last round and we only got him to 90%.. gg.
Very well done, LOL
yeah.. SoS just needs a lot of help… lol, no doubt about it.
If I had a tag things would be a loooot more easier.
congrats. SoS is still at 50%
Also.. to add.. max people we’ve gotten into TS was like 40.. last night.
Did it on an overflow with no TS and we got farther that SoS ever did.
Yeah I was hearing that overflow was doing way better than the main channel. Kinda depressing. We have too many people akitteng & trolling & too many pugs that don’t listen.
It’s just the targeting system of the game. It relies on your sole view as a character, and also relies on the distance. The target gets capped out at a distance, hence why when on a turret, you only lose target when he moves his head back, because it creates more distance between you and him.
Other games have way better targeting systems, I’m surprised that GW2 hasn’t developed anywhere near to an efficient one, yet. However, it’s said to be it’ll be better next patch.

Sea of Sorrows is in deep need of competent commanders.
Every commander we’ve had so far, some were well, but only stayed for one fight and gave up, the others were just garbage.
So please, someone that knows how to lead a zerg/STAND IN ONE SPOT to dps, come over to SoS.
Thanks, because we’ve only got him to like 50%…
all about SoS.. only getting him to 50%, still, LOL
I’ve always ran Soldier’s so I’m not complaining. My gear is mixed, though.
You won’t last against condi’s. 16k HP, and no removals. Meh, good idea though, keep working on it.
And when I mean by none, EB is a condi removal, but it’s only every so often, with the RNG in this game you can kinda figure that you won’t get lucky too often.

What about this? 3k more health, and only 100 less healing power, and i put SoR in for condition removal. The only other removal i could run is HS, and i just prefer troll over it in every possible way.
That’s better, you have a good amount of toughness and hp paired with SoR. Just make sure you can keep your pet alive and switch and what not and you should be fine. Good ol’ BM build.
My turret bugged out, shooting nothing but going on cooldown as if I shot it. It only happens after I cleanse my turret from poison, and I have to leave at least 3 times before it works again.

SoS I believe can only get him a little passed 75%.
Change your build or something. Adapt to the situation and get better. Dodge some, jump some, heal some, jesus & stop complaining
There’s more than 1 ranger in a zerg, ^
It’s very dependent on your build, I believe. If everyone runs berserker’s I can guarantee you you will not kill him. No it does NOT depend on ascended because ascended only gives a 10% increase, which is hardly noticeable in boss fights.
Also, jump over water.
& to add, I am a ranger and I run a perma swift/regen boon build with adequate dmg and I have never died throughout the 15minutes of the fight, and yes I dps the feet.
Jump over the water people
I average around 1k-1.2k a crit with the shortbow (no might) and have 50% crit chance (25 stacks of accuracy, food/oil).
My pet also crits for around 2.5k-3k (wolf)
Looking forward to this matchup
