As I said before, if you want to waste gold feel free to do that.
Yes, sometimes there is no cheap alternative. Then you just have to bite the bullet and spend gold.
Where are you getting your PS warrior might numbers?
Against bosses like abom where you don’t need to dodge much the only time your might ever goes above 18 is when you do hundred blades or if you have quickness, if you don’t it will drop fast down to numbers like 13,14. You need to compensate by bringing extra might generation through sigils or food. I thought this was common knowledge that even ps warrior could not maintain 25 might without buffs.
In the current raid “meta” you’ll be getting 50% boon duration from the revenant pretty much 80% of the time or more so there’s no need for boon duration food or strength sigil on warrior.
Currently vale guardian can be done with 3 mins remaining on the clock. The enrage timer should be about 6 mins instead of 8 mins.
Gorseval can be done with 1:30 mins remaining on the clock. Please tighten the timer by 1 mins.
Proof?
Lets talk out of our cracks – air emerges
Only thing you need to “tighten” is your crack.More importantly, where is the down vote button?
Vale guardian has been done with like 3:30 left, gorseval with 2min+ and sabetha with 1m45 or so.
It’s possible to do the 3rd boss with 2min+ left on the timer, so I wouldn’t be surprised.
Thief is much more preferred in any fast run groups just because he supports and utilizes icebow better than the engi.
Berserker engie is weaker than Thief with ice bow, yes, but the difference isn’t noticeable to the human eye. A 9 second ice bow boss fight lasts 9.5 with berserker engie in place of thief, and thats being generous to the Thief. Whoop de doo.
I can’t wait for Ice Bow to be gone then we get to read all the threads about how useless Thief is as a class in PvE.
Thief is useless? Stealth is useless? high damage in single target is useless?
Thief has pretty much nothing that cannot be done by an engineer as well.
Oh, brilliant, does that mean we can finally do arah records with engineers blinking through walls?
Any class can do the teleporting as long as it’s you playing it Abe
i’ve missed you

But yeah, tbh, it can be really difficult to see what he is doing with all the effects being on him as well as the NPC’s.
You’re kitten, kitten guardian. crap. horsekitten. absolutely terrible.
Just my two cents.
~ The most arrogant Guard and Master of the Bane Signet
PPS: Anyone interested in fast late night Arah runs?
You can always hit me up, if you learn how to oneshot!!!!!!
omg...
is it just me or is everyone on this thread slowly turning into some sort of feigning noobinessness?
Yeah, I stopped taking the forums seriously when it became acceptable to use Ice Bow and pre stack might.

wow thats faster than the trio goku did in the tourney with 2x ele thief. Warriors confirmed OP?!
Pretty sure we used guardian and I wiped on the end boss
Wut u talking about? I can’t be bothered to sift through all that pointless non-info. They locking trait and weapon swapping, aren’t they?
I would’ve BET they were gonna make them super easy and accessible.
Yup, sounds like we’re getting PvP raids :^)
So they already brought down the complexity potential by a million, nice.
Approved and added to site.
Timer on video started .1 seconds late.
Final time: 15:24.83s rounded up to 15:25.Guild banner exploits are allowed?
Normally I would defend Goku, but he bought the wings so no it’s not allowed
Everyone will try it in a PS/Thief/Guard/2 Eles party (x2) and if it doesn’t work they’ll swap the guardian’s build to something more tanky or more supportive. Mesmer to portal everyone out of oneshot aoe maybe?
You only need one Thief. Only need one guard. Might only need one warrior depending on how they do buff sharing. Chronomancer is definitely worth a spot. If buff sharing goes to 10 Ranger and Necro will be worth a spot.
Engineer, oddly enough, seems like it would be in the worst spot since 10 people can passively keep 25 vuln up and engie has no real team buffs.
Depending on how the encounters are designed, engineers could maybe be taken purely for their dps.
I don’t understand why many here think that mechanic-heavy raid would be the way to go… Having mechanics does not make a content challenging, it makes a content undoable until you figure out the mechanics and then it’s easy.
For me a good challenging group content, this is PvE instances with fun combat. Something reminiscent of PvP, but in an instanced PvE setting. I want something where I use more than 2 of the skills of my skillbar (mesmer rotation: 55651111111111111, necro rotation: 67111111111 yeah!!!). I want this feeling I have of being on a razor blade, where any error I make could be my death. I want a very mobile and dynamic enemy, which does not stand in my wells or my hundred blade…
More like: Swap to centaur, tag boss to get swiftness on kill, drop portal, drop time warp, run run run run run run run run run run run run, mimic, portal, portal run run run run run run run run run, portal
If something is 6m27,5s then obviously you would round it up to 6m28s.
He starts reflecting after using his knockback attack on someone in melee range.
It’s probably a cultural issue, I’m also used to winking implying sarcastic superiority. In general I despise the emoticons being used at all because they are extremely ambiguous to the situation.
Interesting. It means the exact opposite here, and in this case I (in the US) took it more as "what I just said could be taken harshly with the wrong tone, but I mean it kindly, friend."
Mind if I ask where you’re at? I think you’re EU, are winks considered snarky to most of Europe? These sorts of differences fascinate me....and they’re really, really useful to understand!
I live in Norway, and the fact that you experience emoticons in a complete other way does make sense to me. I’ve heard from several Americans living in Norway how unwelcoming and unsocial we can seem. Prime example is people sitting on the bus, people will go out of their way to not have to sit with a complete stranger and having to engage in a conversation.
I honestly think it might derive from the law of jante which is still situated in Norway after quite a long time.

On one side I hope the thread gets locked cus none of the sides will ever agree with eachother, but at the same time this has been quite the bundle of entertainment.
Can’t wait for this thread to turn into another kitten-measuring contest.
Run to Prototype Golems:
SC: 0:07.27 (+0.57s)
vC: 0:06.70
Tssk tssk, what is your excuse, Tobi?
Arah P4 is soloable. An ele can solo Simin with some great RNG
Every class can do it (No clue if Sin/Zerk Necro can actually) as long as you have the Guild Banner Tonic
…go on…
it breaks the freeze so you dont have to waste time and utility slots for stability
Can you post a photo of what you’re experiencing?
Also kitten the new login system, would it be too much to ask for to be redirected to the page you were on when logging in?
Oh boy, let’s not have this thread turn into another one of those.
Yeah, he sometimes heals from one of the villagers completely randomly and it actually happens quite often tbh.
So summary of class one shot abilities.
Confirmed:
Mesmer – focus on wall
Gaurdian – wor on wall
Ranger – axe 5 standing on wall
Warrior – shield 5 + trait standing on wall
Engineer – throw elixer on wall 50% of the time. Reflect off turrets on the wall?First of all, I am certain that Warrior and Shield Mastery doesnt work anymore with the latest trait changes. It’s not the same as missile reflection, and when we tried it most of the projectile got blocked and not reflected (Maybe its the feedback mechanic? Where it only reflects 25 and then absorbs them (?)).
Engineer’s Flamethrower and Shield could potentially oneshot lupi. I have tried it a few times, we got Lupi down to 10-25%. However with some tweaking on the positioning, traits and gear we may be able to record a proper oneshot.
el oh el, that sounds like absolute kittene. Why in all days would they think that’s a good idea
Wait, you have to be specialized to tempest to use a warhorn?
You guys are making it seem like it will be useless, but don’t forget basically all the use for dagger, scepter and focus comes from using their abilities outside of combat, which is a huge aspect of GW2 PvE. I for one welcome more boon spread and swiftness, though it is sad that other than that it is practically useless.
Wow how did you do phase 1 and then get on top of the wall? Kappa Keepo Kappa Kappa
There’s another person in the party you kitten
Okay how did the dead player at the start of the instance do it then :>
He obviously ran and suicided when lupi phased

You’ll get your tonic one day too! (perhaps)
Nearly 3 years and I still haven’t gotten the Harpoon Gun. That’s all I’ve got left. I just want it to be over.
I…I thought I was the only one. :’(

Most people just don’t like the extremely limiting and linear format of the dungeon, at least in other dungeons you have a bit more space to work with for some cool tactics. If we ever get more dungeon content I sincerely hope they make the areas more open and free to figure out an optimal path yourselves. The dungeons in gw2 in that way I don’t really particularly like. I’ve always been a fan of the huge mythical temples/dungeons/towers with vast open spaces.
I don’t think I was playing when Hrouda was this active on the forums, reading those posts was more depressing than funny. To think someone actually cared for us once :’(
What’s happening ? I am on holiday and go to check the forums and all I see is sumthin’ ’bout guards. Someone enlighten me pleaaase!
if only anet actually cared
Nice use of the aura sharing trait, didn’t know that it worked for magnetic aura!
Your sentence sounds incredibly stupid when you include the name of the skill.
Aha yes it does, but given the state of tooltips it still wouldn’t surprise me.
Also I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work with certain Aura’s (Fire Aura via leaps etc).
That’s true, this game is known for being pretty inconsistent.

They are, but I want the poison rain AoE as often as possible so chill isn’t really an option
Brought to you by none other than Snow Crows [SC], enjoy)))
lmfao, this is brilliant, well done
Fair enough

They were terrible and no one wanted to do them or practice them. #hotwunderwater #cof2defendmag #ACp3Burrows
Ye, I can understand some of them even though I don’t quite agree. But I don’t understand the removal of CM P3 and CoE P3, they are quite similar to the other paths in the same dungeons.
What happened to so many of the paths?
One issue that has been brought up in the past about the 3-man format is that it takes people farther away from their daily routines than the classic 5-man which probably was a decisive factor on so many teams dropping out late in the last one. While theoretically it’s easier to get a 3-man group together than it is a 5-man one, getting people to consistently practice in a trio format is harder and that is a big contributing factor to why so many teams dropped out late last time, I personally would like to see a return to the classic 5-man format.
Also as mentioned above, the best of 7 & 9 rounds were simply a drag to watch. In some ways the length of the final rounds made the tournament reach it’s air time quota as a lot more teams were expected to participate at first but from a viewer’s perspective it was just too long. I’d lean towards best of 3 series with the finals being best of 5, this of course depends on the number of teams that participate as time is something to consider.
Plus, fractals tourneys would be a refreshing change for the future. Yes, these are heavily RNG influenced and don’t appeal to as broad an audience as dungeons though it remains the only true high-end content in this game (well not so high-end since the most recent balance patch).
I would like to see a trio fractal tourney, a 5-man one would honestly be a bore at this point
