It has been months since I’ve played this game. After feeling the game wasn’t…rewarding enough and became boring, so I stopped playing. The one thing that bothered me the most was the state PvE was in. I remember dungeon bosses having a big health pool but hardly any mechanics, and I believe this was also the case with champions(I think is what they are called).
So the question is. Have they changed anything in PvE? Rewards, mechanics, etc…? Also, are there any new items in the game? I remember there was talk about releasing more ascended gear.
Arenanet doesn’t want us to switch servers for free due to wvw if we make some non wvw ones we could switch to them for free…
Plus it might be a shock but
“Not everyone likes wvw”
If you don’t like WvW, then don’t do it.
You mean…what’s changing! Check the links below!

I don’t see this happening. They are reworking dungeons bosses mechanics and phases, and from a post a saw a while back, they will possible up the difficulty to where they where originally. May take some time, but Fractals are pretty much what you’re suggesting.
What is this? I don’t even….
I have a problem when I strafe with the D key, I can’t activate my skills bound to E or Shift 3. When I strafe with A I can’t use Q. This may be my keyboard, but I’m not sure.
FINALLY! Someone making a PvE gear builder tool thingy. XD
In my opinion, the Razer Naga is perfect for this game and many others.
Do you really want rangers running around saying they’ve got crabs ? Face it you know this would happen
Maybe it would happen, but I haven’t seen much immature people on this game like in other games. Also, they would have A crab, not crabs.
Sorry, I didn’t mention I wanted them to be ranger pets.
Probably won’t be for a while, but at least one of these needs to be in the first expansion as ranger pets.

It’s not too hard, in my opinion. I don’t have it yet, but I finished all of wvw yesterday and I feel so much better. Other zones shouldn’t be that hard.
Ascended gear isn’t that bad, I don’t think. In the upcoming update, you will be able to buy ascended items with the new reward systems, but they are not infused items. I’m not sure how much they will be, though. As for legendary weapons, I wouldn’t mind the grind too much if I wasn’t so worried on if I am ever going to get the precursor or not. 500g is ridiculous along with all the other stuff you have to get.
Uhm…wow, that’s a lot of money. Why would you want to multibox in this game anyway?
I think ascended gear will come before any legendary gear comes. They will probably make more legendary weapons or skins first, too.

You got my vote.

Please edit this thread. It’s really annoying to read right now.
I’m debating on actually making the bow myself. I’m gathering things and hoping that ArenaNet changes the way precursors are obtained, but I’m working on materials and some gifts right now. In my opinion, I wouldn’t because of the look. But it’s up to you.

I just started doing spvp and I’m wondering, should I save my glory, or is it not worth it? What are good things to buy from the vendors?
Thanks.
You can only pick one world. If you transfer, all your characters go with it. On the 28th all transfers will cost gems, so pick wisely. Each race gets their own starting zones (0-15,15-25). You can go to any starting area you want, but you will have to go back to your zones for story quests.
here is guide on how to travel to different starting areas.
In the next update there is suppose to be 5 new Utility Infusions and 30 Ascended Amulets to choose from, there’s something for every style of player. Not sure if that includes rings, though.
Does anyone know if they are coming on the 28th?
For those who don’t know, they are thinning out the mobs and adding additional uncontested waypoints.
Definitely like the new one better. Good job
I’m a fan of the background not scrolling, though. Especially if the background and banner are good.
Does no one else have this problem?

It was a long time ago…
I just started getting into WvW. My only problem right now is people being “obstructed”, but they can hit me. -.-
Other than that, I can’t wait for the fractal change, reward system, and them to start improving boss encounters.
Off topic: I pretty much stopped doing fractals in anticipation of this update. They said they will be adding ascended amulets for the achievement rewards but I’m curious if we’ll be able to get them with fractal relics, too?
I haven’t even started fractals!
I’m waiting for the update, too, so I don’t drag my higher level friends down into not getting anything.
Are there going to be boss improvements when this patch hits? (mechanics, phases, ect…)
I think we can expect the Fractals update on the 28th.
We got zombies instead for this round. It is kind of odd though that some of those zombies don’t have a living counterpart though.
Please don’t call them zombies… They are Risen.
Never know, might come in the future.
They went through all this trouble to try and make the world at least feel dynamic and alive, and you want them to put a timer in it.
How else will we know if a meta event is up, Spend 2-3 silver going to the area to check every time we think it’s up? It’s not like the whole world lets you know when a dragon comes up.
That would be nice for some things.
As for the events, there is a timer for dragons and some other here. But an in game one would be kind of neat.
What happened to playing the game for fun rather than farming for gold?
Sadly, that’s how this game works, and it’s mainly because of legendary weapons and the precursor. Give thanks to ArenaNet.
I don’t see higher level tier nodes, plants or trees coming to lower level zones. If you needed lower level tier materials, where would you get them? They already said they are going to increase the chance of loot in lower level areas to scale up to your level.
Your missing my main point. That as of right now Tunnel farming is the best way to farm. There is no reason to go to level 30 and do any event there because you won’t make as much money farming there as you would in the level 80 area. I’m just suggesting equalizing the loot is all.
So give the same amount of experience, karma, and silver from completing an event in a lower level zone as you would in a higher level zone? I can agree with you on that. I just don’t think higher level farming nodes will come to lower level zones.
I wouldn’t mind if this was brought into the game, but I don’t believe it will. Currently they are working on giving bosses more interesting mechanics and phases so the fights aren’t so boring. I also read something about scaling the difficulty back up on some of the dungeons to where they used to be.

Might get the same from people if you run ranger. Everyone wants warriors and guardians. I was running with my guild in AC and everyone was giving people boons and such. I felt I didn’t fit in too much with my ranger, to be honest.
Forgot there is a sticky! Sorry, everyone. :P
I’m not sure how the steal mechanic works. But I will say I wish pets had more skills that you are able to activate. That would be nice.
When I hold down the D key to strafe, I cannot activate my skills binded to E or Shift 3. I’m not sure if this is my keyboard or the game. Does anyone else get this?
The problem with using short bow with condition build is that you have to hit them in the sides or back. Yes, I know there is some angle or something you can hit them, but if you’re doing 1v1 and kiting someone, it’s not going to work out for you. If you want bleeds I suggest going with axe or greatsword.
I wanted to use the short bow with condition build, too. But after realizing I wont get bleeds on people often, I was a bit disappointed. It will work if you’re not getting focused by someone or you’re just sitting back shooting people from behind, but in other situations I feel it won’t work too good.
If you want to use bows, I think it’s best to go with a power build and not a condition build, in my opinion.
Thanks, Renmei, I’ll look around some more for those.
Well, I would recommend trying to mix some survivability in then. If you’re solo for whatever reason it’s not really a must have. Dungeons on the other hand can hurt you pretty bad. I haven’t looked too much into condition builds, hopefully someone can help you a bit more, but I will see what I can come up with to help you out as best I can.
I will post again in a bit.
Well if you want your conditions to good amounts of damage you’re going to need condition damage, obviously. If you don’t want to be a glass cannon I would suggest trying to mix some survivability stats in there. Maybe you should provide some more information on what you’re planning to do on your ranger. Pvp, wvw, or pve; damage or support, stuff like that. All I can tell you is that you need condition damage if you want your conditions to do anything.
This and tracking.
Can you posts your actual stats you have now? Again, it’s hard to tell from the build since it’s all pvp stuff. Thanks!
I’m starting to get into wvw a bit more and I’m looking for a good survival build that can do some good damage. Thanks
Sounds more like Skyrim. I can’t see this in a mmo, to be honest.
