What reward? It’s only for those who only game mode is wvw. If you still haven’t purchased HOT, don’t. Too bad. I already have it and don’t intend on getting anymore copies of the game. Not worth it with all these updates that is making the game less fun and more mindless grinding/blobbing.

Simply put. The patch turned this wvw completely into EOTM 2.0. Welcome back EOTM. Don’t defend, don’t roam without a large group, flip everything and let it get flip so you can flip it back for participation. Bad update. Bad.

Time to do <alt> F4 and uninstall if wvw rewards is your game mode.

If you see fractals as a “repetitive chore” it’s maybe a sign to move on but on the other hand I’m more convinced that T4-fractals are too easy for the rewards so everyone could do them.
They were never meant to be that easy, so the complaining crowd should adapt or go back to Tier 3 – It seems that the brainafk times are over in this part of the game which I highly prefer!

T4 is too easy if you have a decent group. Most decent groups are during prime time for their respective regions. The change is good and bad. Good is no more quickies on swamp. Bad is the failure of math and people who can’t count. 77 should never be harder than 90 or 100. I wouldn’t mind if Anet wants to beef up 78 to 100 and make it much harder so it can reflect what each higher progression supposed to be.

Lower tiers is also a snooze fest. It’s not hard. Just get a group that knows the mechanics. It’s lame and imbalance. Its time to reward payoff stinks. Taken into consideration of getting the right party. It can be PUG hell if you get some casuals in group. You can try this.. go into a group who is at boss. Find out how long they been at it. How many raged… then you will know that they’ve been practicing the stage so you aren’t wasting your time. Yes, it sounds mean. But at the rate it’s going, that might be the best solution.

You do know this game was not supposed to be a complete snoozefest right? Not everything is meant to be easy and with how rewarding fractals are, all T4 fractals should be as hard as the new swamp. Which isn’t even that hard by the way, you’re just to used to pressing 1 for reward.

Still no fix to this messed up fractal trash stage? Today’s swamp daily was probably 10 minutes or so. Can’t say the same for my fellow teammates who struggled for over 1.5 hours on it. I join a @ boss session. I know what to do. But that 1 shot bloom and ground pounding made me think it was Donkey Kong wanting his banana back. Guess anet’s idea of fun is to turn an immobile tree to tree with the mind of an ape and the charge of a bull. I missed that clown called Mossman. Probably not much of a fight since he fights like a little girl now. Come on… let’s not make this fractal so imbalance. This one fractal now makes aquatic super fun in comparison. Chaos was good. The update to Snowblind was nice. But Swamp…. YUCK!

Ehh. Fractals were designed for someone who already have had made acsended gear. Its also not supposed to be a main way of getting ascended armor. From what ive seen the random dropsof them are somehwat frequent. And the gold per day from t4 fractals is great if u do them quickly. Also if your talking prostines it would have to be a lot more pristines. Like 500 or 400 for a chest piece then no less than 200 pristines for the rest of the pieces.

True. To hand out ascended gears it needs to be more in line with market rates. Wasn’t it 10 pristine for a non infused ascended ring? Pegging it to salvage rate of 2-4 stabilizing matrixes value of no more than 2g… and to craft an ascended gear probably cost 150 to 200g. The fair exchange should be 750 to 1000 pristine relics per ascended gear. You can pretty much get 2-3 full sets of ascended armor and weapons from doing T4 dailies for about 2-3 months. Some people probably get lucky and might be able to get a set in a week. I have horrible luck so I am referencing the 2-3 months of doing dailies at least few times per week.

That’s the problem nowadays. People keep leaving groups after a few failed attempts without trying and change into a group who can carry them. There’s many ways to look at it… If you stay, you’ll feel like you’re doing all the work and carrying. If you leave, you’ll be hated and looking for someone that can carry you. What are the choices? The old Swamp was horrible because of it being super easy. The new Swamp requires way too much time. Time spent to get this reward probably not worth it at this time.

This silly Swamp isn’t hard to do. Did it with 4 people in t4 (89) during the daily previously. Failed it a few times at 77 and found a group to do it at 89. It’s about getting the right group. But it’s ridiculously long and for this horrible reward. Definitely 77 seems much harder than all those higher tiers. Makes absolutely no sense. People thinking otherwise doesn’t know how to count and think 77 = 107. Perhaps if this Swamp is intended to be one of the hardest, then change the numbers on it. 89 and 77 doesn’t fit it anymore. 100 should be greater than 89 and 77. Not 77 and 89 > 100.

New swamp is trash. Might as well stick Bloom into raids. The mechanics feels more like made for raids than fractals. Swamp is harder than Mai in level 100. Something feels wrong here… Takes ridiculously long to beat for most pug. Please have Bloom and friends go to raids and let him one shot people there.

There’s a fix for this blobbing in question. Make an option where a commander can challenge the opposing commander in a duel. The losing side of the duel “accept or decline and auto defeat” which most likely is the blob server commander. They will have a morale impact of 50%, meaning all their attributes are decreased by 50% for the next 10 minutes while the winning side squad can go on a rampage with an additional 50% to wipe that blob. It’ll be fun. It’s like pac man just ate the “dragon ball” and decided to kill them blobbing ghosts. C’mon, you know them blobs gonna hate my suggestions… Oops. That’s the majority on this forum?

Maybe it’s just me… but the T4 chest mostly consists of ascended material, dyes, or ascended salvage kits. Most of my better drops comes from T3 and T2 chests. For example today I did only one T4 and the results were: 1 T4 chest, 3 each of T3, T2, T1 chests…. T4 gives me bolt of damask. 2 T3 chests provided 1 ascended armor and 1 ascended weapon. 1 T2 provided another ascended armor. So my armor set is finally complete. I probably only do fractals every other day or less. My experience seems to point to T4 not really worth doing?

It’s either grind or whip out that CC and buy gems. Which is fine with me. I would prefer to spend more money to buy the gems if it rewards us.

We need to enhance the trading post. Allow those people who don’t have enough gold to pay directly with their credit cards to buy the item. Skip the gems conversion.

These stats only useful if it drills down to more detailed levels. i.e. Platinum Generals death 100, kills 3… etc. etc.

I disagree. When we start looking at the PPK in context of the recent Kill / Death information we start to see a completely different picture on a lot of match ups. For example in Tier 1 we’d be looking at only a 5k spread between BG and JQ instead of a 11k one. That’s a lot of points and shows that while BlackGate is doing very well in terms of kills and match up performance against other servers they simply lack the coverage to keep things going.

The exact flawed statement I was looking for. BG is a server full of guilds that only ganks uplevels and solos. JQ is a server that is full of uplevels and k-trainers. YB is a server that is full of siege humpies. Death/Kill ratios go home. Horrible way to measure any server skills.

If you are saying you paid $60 dollars in the last month or two, you probably got ripped off by some retailer (as the core game has not been that price through ArenaNet for at least 2 years), then I suggest you speak to said retailer or your credit card company. Once you get your money back from them, you can purchase HoT (core game included), and start your journey through Tyria.

I don’t see the logic in paying a ransom. I’ll hold off on paying ransom until it gets negotiated with better terms.

Only one expansion came out for Guild Wars 1 and that was Eye of the North. It did not come with Character slots.

Where have you been? GW1 had 3 expansions. The last one which was EotN was an expansion that was like $10 and precursor to GW2. The other 2 expansions all include character slots and an entirely whole new world and content that is equivalent to the original GW1 which you still need to purchase. It wasn’t given as a freebie.
