I had this problem yesterday after a graphics driver update for my nvidia GT 750M. It would flicker when I rotated the camera and sometimes would freeze up still flickering and I’d have to tab out for a few seconds to let it correct itself.

Is there any chance your driver updated just before you started having the issue? I fixed my problem by rolling back the driver in Device Manager, then manually downloading and installing the 2nd most recent version.

I can’t complete The Predator’s Path. The last Taimi hologram cut out half way through and now won’t say anything, no more green star, nothing. She should finish talking and I get the reward, I watched a playthrough of it.

If it weren’t an outfit, I might have considered getting it for using various bits of it. But I don’t like it as a whole. I don’t even like outfits as a concept.

I hope this goes up on youtube soon. Given the overflows keep d/cing in the middle of the boss fight I may never see it!

An EU overflow just DC’d with TWO MINUTES left of the boss fight (prime holo). Wasn’t clear if we were going to make it or not.

VERY frustrating as not clear if there was a reward or cutscene on a failed attempt…

I for one won’t be attempting it again until I see a patch as it’s such a long event.

Makes me glad I kept clicking reenter queue just in case! It might be a side effect of the instancing, since when you leave the airship it remembers where you were before. May be that they only have 1 of these locations saves. I suspect logging out might have the same behaviour but I’ve not tested that.

Regardless, they should fix it. It’s annoying and unfair.

Not really given you have 20 weapon skills available rather than the 10+class skills other classes have.

You may be best off contacting support directly (link at top of page) as it’s probably a fairly isolated instance of this bug by now. The previous behaviour was to kick the player straight to Divinities Reach as soon as the Crown Pavillion loading was done. This definitely used to work but a more recent update may have broken it.

I know that nothing can be done, but I feel like it’s unfair to change the deadline so close to release. Last time I was pretty much unable to participate in the patch, because I was a week late, and all the mobs like Marionette and the worm were no longer attempted on my server even, so a few days might mean that you’ll miss pretty much all group content.

If that happens, you could always guest to a more active server. I agree though it’s pretty poo to announce it’s delayed on the day of release, let alone the expected hour of release. If tuesdays are so hard a deadline to meet due to only having monday to prepare after the weekend, why don’t they release on wednesday instead?

I’m in the UK, so their afternoon is my midnight XD

Probably more like 4-6 hours – they wouldn’t release it at lunch, which is fair enough. I wouldn’t want them to skip lunch!

I wasn’t really looking to buy a particular one. My ele is nearly level 80, I was bored and threw some money at the problem. Not looking to get the gold back, just want that person to get a warning for scamming (since they blocked me before I could send them a typically british passive-aggressive complaint letter)

I was wondering what the official policy on selling/buying paths is. I decided to try it (buying) today and did 3 fine, no problems. 4th person took mine (and I assume the other 3’s) gold, kicked us and blocked them.

I know I know, it’s a risk and yeah I’m fine losing that, it was a risk I was willing to make.

But I wonder, can you report these people for scamming? I don’t know what the actual policy is on selling paths.

If it’s allowed, could they add a tool where you can pay so and so X gold on completion of the dungeon? Both parties would be protected that way.

I hope Arena Net is going to do something to prevent whole map blobs from doing objectives.

I would like to think that they are starting to learn their lesson, example being the Orgins of Madness update. They split up the Marrionette fight into 5 lanes, and the 3-Worms into three forces (I assume, I don’t know the strat).

I would definitely like to see some more strategy in this, though perhaps on a smaller so (so, say, groups of 10-20 maybe could do it). Eg, one group holds a barricade while another has to move canons into position or something.

It’ll probably be a mix to be honest. I can’t see there not being at least some of it instanced, like when we had to chase people out at Dragon Bash. I actually really liked the zerging during the Tower of Nightmares though. But def needs some instanced for people who lag out.

This is the first time I’ve attempted to buy gems since the switch-over to the new card transactions processing type. I am entering the exact details I have to make successful gem purchases in the past.

Has anyone else had an issue with it saying a UK Visa number is wrong?

No, it’s not being declined by my bank. The error clearly says incorrect card number so is an issue on A’net’s side.

It seems bugged. It initially tells you to go to Lornar’s pass, but then actually tells you to go to the docks in LA. There’s an instance there where you catch up with people, including a touching scene with Majory and Kasemer

I was resizing my minimap the other week and suddenly it snapped up into the top right corner. I was ok with that, but now they’ve added that ugly background to the personal story I want to move it back.

But anything I do doesn’t move it back Any help? I don’t want to have to clear my game settings because I’ve remapped a lot of keys.

I ran the game client as an administrator and it seems to be downloading at a much more reasonable rate. Try this, guys.

Are you sure it’s not just scanning the files you already downloaded the first time you tried? It’ll show you a download rate that’s actually how fast it’s scanning those files

[edit] I just tried this I it doesn’t in fact work for the remaining! The part I hadn’t already downloaded did so at ~1MB/s!!!!

Would be nice if they published the size of the patch somewhere. What if people don’t have 500MB spare? I mean, I only have 180GB spare… It’s just too close for comfort!

But seriously it would be nice to know in advance so I could plan to do something else while it’s downloading.

Aha! Never mind! I finally spotted the Tixx checkpoint. Oh thank god!

I am now more familiar with the puzzle and am jumping as fast as I can, faster than several others. And yet by the time I reach the candy platforms I die from the exposure. So, I would like to find out what other people’s max health is while playing and what damage ticks they get.

Another note – it doesn’t always disappear behind everyone. I’ve sat watching for a bit, sometimes they stay for ages, sometimes they go as soon as someone jumps off them

The snowflakes despawning is incredibly annoying. I think I’d rather not have that and have to wait for everyone else to fall/win before getting to go again. I’m not very fast atm, I’m learning the jumps so when I start later than others or take longer I am left with nothing to stand on.

Also even when I manage to do the first one fast my health is running out and no sign of fires along the way :|

Yeah, 2-3 hours on this boss alone. We had to give up. Def didn’t help that it wasn’t resetting properly, but mostly it was taking so long we had no floor left to stand on.

No, but as part of a support ticket I had for a different issue I was asked to repair my installation and I noticed I got a big jump in performance for this. It doesn’t take long (though it does reset your settings, at least the graphics ones. I didn’t have any custom keybindings so I don’t know if they are reset, but area loot was still enabled). It may be worth you trying it:

[edit] to clarify the boost I got, when I had it capped at 60fps before the repair I was getting 30fps, and 20 when capped at 30. After the repair and on the same settings I got the correct fps for the caps (60/60, 30/30)[/edit]

First,

1. Hold down the Windows button on the keyboard and hit the R key.
2. Paste in the following line and then click OK.

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2

Delete the local.dat file located here.

Next,

1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Repair.”
4. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
5. Edit the “Target” line to include -repair at the end.

Note: Please make sure -repair is outside of the quotes

Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -repair
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -repair”

6. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.

If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.

For anyone that didn’t raise a ticket, here are the instructions I got that fixed my audio problems (except the separate issue of audio going when you talk to a scout)

NOTE this resets your settings. Something I wasn’t told, but probably shoulda figured would happen. The process repairs the installation by verifying your archive. It doesn’t have to re-download except if anything is broken. Didn’t take too long when I did it.

“First,

I have the same issue. It’s not all sounds, just character sounds, like jumping, fighting sound effects, etc. I can’t tell if it’s since the latest update though because I haven’t played in a few weeks. It seems pretty random about when it happens and the only thing to fix it seems to be to go back to the character select screen and go back in again.

Interface sounds and background music still work even when the character sounds have cut out.

I have the same issue with the tower that is more to the west. Chest already open when I got there so I can’t open it to get the achievement tally.

Also I’ve seen one aetherblade ship event near a tower get stuck at about 15% morale left with no aetherblades to fight :\ So the tower gate wouldn’t open.

I managed to get up to 220% with the emissaries’ 150%, 50% booster and some food. Got some rares but no exotics, but wasn’t playing for long. It is crazy. The amount of loot I was getting I won’t be surprised if there’s a market crash. But maybe they want that.

Hmm, in that case they need to update the text. It is very misleading.

Please see screenshot attached. I gained the daily achievement “Recycler” while supporting Kiel but DID NOT get a point in the “Kiel Everyday” achievement. It’s hard to prove from a screenshot I was supporting Kiel at the time, but I was. I took the screenshot just after this happened and I had 46m remaining on my Kiel support buff. Recycler wasn’t listed on the daily watch list on the right (default ones) – could that be it?

That, or it’s a case you need to get all 5 dailies and get the chest. In which case THE TEXT IS NOT CLEAR. I just says “0/1 daily achievements earned” – that to me means 1 of the daily achievements, not the daily chest. ArenaNet, please can you clarify. Thanks <3
