I have been clean from Gw2 for a bit and I can say the pvp state is so bad I wont come back until they make a good patch. If you leave it you will understand gw2 is going backwards while the world is moving forward.

This is why I’m hesitant to come back. I do miss the casual pvp, but if its still the same whats the point.

they ruined a lot of good things with this last patch…but, i will say thief has taken one hell of a blow. coming back to playing my thief (2.7k hours/ engi 1.9k hours) i’ve found that i like a quick play style. D/p does not offer that sadly. D/D does offer that. but D/p is the only way of surviving. i really hope anet changes things for thief but in the long run it’ll just be over powered and nerfed almost right away when people start crying. Just like the assassin before it, this class is doomed for a even longer life of crying and nerfing.

if you’re na time like myself…do a higher tier. it’s sad but its a ghost town when the english go to bed for this poor murican. currently on Spikin had fun for the first day i was there…which was last night

the glass door reviews are…interesting to say the least. I would think that’d they would have someone at least checking to forums daily. It’s pretty obvious that a lot of people aren’t taking the changes very happily

would of been nice if they would of…that was the best heal for thief imo. and sadly that extra 3 seconds kind of hurts

After patch changes i’m back to maining my thief since they ruined my engi. So i guess my big question is why the 18 second CD on withdrawal? Seeing kitten took a bit of a hit with the few posts I’ve seen about it, it seems that adding a few extra seconds makes no sense for thieves only mobility removal skill…which yes i now have to waste to break immobilize. Maybe I’m not using the right build, but i really don’t think the crit strikes or panic strikes build has really changed with the update.

i play a their for an assassin like class. If i wanted to play my mesmer, i’d play my mesmer. If thieves get staff just /uninstall..honestly if you want a ninja like class give us dual swords…but we all know the good people at anet are giving thieves a war horn since we already have to many melee weapons.

as much as i love my engi…i just can’t use FT. I feel it is a “slow” kit and just not the same playstlyle I’m use too on engi. :[

You’re doing great things with the meta anet So I’m going to use the new meta predicted months ago by our first rank 80 and #1 frandliest engi NA! Since you finally nerfed all those bad condi builds!

currently not playing till they fix engi…played since launch with 3000+ hours on engi using nades just to get them “fixed”. can we start a petition?

ive learned to start using it again for awhile now…but i am perplex garbage who needs to L2p yada yada yada. also i use it because the amount of pew pews now a days is just staggering! how could not use shield

the could have some new hammer skins to keep in mind about that might look good

I’m currently using hoelbreak but i was curious what everyone else recommend. Also, should i make my rifle cele stats or stay with zerk stats? i run 6/2/0/4/2

There has to be some other change to conquest to where, " numbers=win".

i think the problem is that channeling skills continue tracking you in stealth….if that got fixed id be happy that a ranger can keep its Gs/machinegun build

I was just thinking about this. The amount of people quitting and amount of “goodbye” post has been pretty high these past few weeks. Sadly its just playing for 2 years and not seeing any changes, same big event(non pvp aside) like halloween and christmas( which were big in gw1) being rre skinned basically. Pvp still only has one mode, which, people play whatever the strongest meta is to win. WvW is still a numbers deal, the more people you have you win. GW has started to become a unskilled meta numbers winning game. I liked both pvp and pve, but the new living story has nothing like the first LS(i.e. gas mask rare skins). and all pvp content in the game is the same. Having just bringing a new “raid” dev this past week i believe? I’ll still keep playing every other day. I really hope very very early 2015 brings in a new expansion. It’s about time for a MMo of 2years to add something new and stop copying and pasting previous events.

sorry about the rant. Just a player thats getting really bored and would like to see something new besides “balance” updates.

since my last post got off track. VeeWee has officially retired from GW.. so lets try to remember the good times with her/it…mine was when i actually saw a wild veewee appear in my Tque and i couldn’t control myself at the fact VeeWee was an actually thing

all i learned from this post is that it take skill to play turret engi? Ok, sure! It might…pre turret set up. I’ve yet to see a turret engi 1v1 (me personally) and on some youtube video. Please post one so i can see and convince me that turrets aren’t “cheese”.

maybe when someone rage quits on a match, 1 of the spectators gets balanced in for full rewards?

I’ve been on engi for awhile and i guess the only thing i can say is that its a really fun class. I’ve been bored of the typical 3-kit build so i’ve been hot joining with Sd build and lately HgH. Its interesting to me! Coming from a thief where it was either zerker or nothing(pd is way to boring to me)i guess i just like how you can play almost anything you want

@wolfar, i was using the traits you provided with a cel strength rune build and it worked…rather well. This was 4/5 yoloq and 3/5 soloq. I thinks its a strong build it just doesn’t have the healing that turret and elixir gun has. Are there any suggestions that might make it equal to offer to anet to make it a stronger build?

HgH build. i’ve been kind of curious about it for awhile now and would like to give it a try. PvP and WvW would be a big help!

Engis? What amazing buff did we get from that last patch? oh yeah, utility goggles now reveals. Which, has been nice fighting mesmers but its only useful with static discharge with a rifle and no real aoe good for zerging let alone group fights, which have more or less been war guard necro and ranger comps. Hell ill even throw thieves in the mix! Mesmers i can semi agree on also.

I stopped rougin around at the speed of sound a few weeks before they talked about what they were doing to thief. and honestly I’m sad to my once favorite class getting “fix after fix”. I hop on him from time to time as of late but after the Sd engi buff that it got. its hard for me to play on what feels like now, low damage.
