I’ll craft second ascended but ill think about deeper which stats should i choose. What about traits and utilities for pve (POWER)? I wont bother yout with CONDI because i won’t play it soon, gonna explore and 100% map first with zerk.

Hello. I decide to make second ascended gear for necro (got zerk) It will be condi, but dont know which to craft, sinister,dire, viper, rabid or something else. Already got rabid+dire ascended accesories, now need armor.

I’ll make it for raid and other pve content and WvW solo roam if would fit this kind of gear. Thank you

I got thief and ele to be wanted in parties, but i wouldnt change if ppl find necro unwanted because i never kicked out necro from party in dungeons i do on daily basis.

If player can play his class and know what to do, every class is welcome. Ppl who are frustrated with necro in their group or some other class and want to save few more mins in their RL completing dungeons asap, dont deserve my presence near them and i would be glad not playing with them.

Dont know about age majority in this game, but that kind of behaving is childish to me, and dont care about it

But agree, nice advice for others who care more and want to be accepted by online community. Anyway, you can always find nice guild who will accept you for dungeons and other content.

Usually I play condi necro and need help about powermancer “all-arounder”. I know necro isnt meta in dungeons, cant provide boons to party etc etc. but ill still play him, just need right build and your help about it. For open PVE kitten, world bosses etc. every build can work so thats not a problem.

My thoughts are full zerk (armor and trinket) for dungeons and WvW (zergs and solo roam). **Is that ok?

I can craft ascended armor and made decision ill craft it, should I make zojja or mix? *Maybe Ferratus for condi?

About weapons, what should i use for:

**Dungeons? D/D or D/W? What about secondary wep?

**WvW – ZERGS – A/W and staff as secondary?
– SOLO – D/W or D/D or D/F and what about secondary?

**What about traits for dungeons and for WvW?

I hope someone can help me with it

p.s I know necro is in bad position right now, but he provides me the most fun so want to main him and hope for nice changes in HoT.

I can always make zerk, it fits most preffesion anyway.

Hmm, i should get weaponsmith to 500 soon. Luckily i got for necro Dire Staff from teq and teq hoard(scepter). I could make warhorn in nearly future, and zerk weps for thief instead armor. Anyway, at least i got usefull info from here so i can make better decision.

Anet has already stated that HoT will NOT release a new tier of gear and Exotic and Ascended will still be viable top tier gear. There is no reason to wait for Ascended due to HoT release. Now if you are considering a Legendary, waiting might not be a bad idea (but you can certainly collect the common materials as those are not likely to change).

If you already have the Damask, I see no reason to wait. The map rewards may make it easier to obtain materials, but it sounds like the OP already did that work.

If Anet says that, then i should not wait till release. Got 30 damasks, iam still deciding which should i craft, but yea, thats nice info to know.

• You run dungeons to set speed clearing records.
• You play in a highly competitive WvW environment, specifically with a strongly coordinated team.
• You have tons of excess wealth and you’re looking for a new long-term project.

Ascended weapons are a better deal, if you really want to go ascended. Even then, for the money, you might want to target some other type of shiny goal: mini collections, mystic forge weapons, etc

*I dont do fractals, mainly focusing of WvW solo roam and with guild when we have scheduled.

• Iam poor, but for last month everyday i made 1 damask and thats it.
• I want to go for legendary, but thats so much effort, t6 and precursor missing, so i decide to give my self “goal” aka ascended gear.

Should i craft it or should i wait for HoT? I got 30 damasks, few more days and i can finish ligth armor set or i can make medium for my alt, but iam unsure right now because it can easily be useless after expansion and i wont take that risk.

Maybe some news about gear in future or some tweaks about zerker stats or something else?

Honestly i support the “do you’re own thing” comment. I make at least 50-60g a day while just having fun. All i do is run dungeons wvw and jp’s, and when i get a rare i save it till i have full 20 slot bag of rares then forge them to possibly make exo’s (which so far from what i’ve seen at cheepest goes for 1.6g)

50-60g a day? How many hours you play? Doing every dungeon a day? Tell me secret so i can make 50-60 a day. Sceptic about that, prove me iam wrong

Should i change gear to full zerk? 80% seems pretty high, is that assassin screed to manage that number? Or should i stick with this i have and just change 1 trait? Hidden killer is nice tratit, but one with 20% more dmg seems better in general

Any tips what to change?

Hardened sharp stones are in my budget so i use them, and ravioli is for synergy with stones. This is food i bought before 1 year, maybe meta changed but dont know which food is the best.

Is there better alternative for runes? What about gear, is it fine?

Iam lost with the traits…. Can i manage them better?

Didnt play thief a lot after i ding him, and i find myself pretty bad at the moment, is it about this whole build and how should i rotate? Is withdrav better for healing utility?

That is mistake i made. I like necro, but should invest time in Ranger. Usually i roam alone in WvW and i cant really on pugs around. My guild is mostly WvW, and there is always one guy from guild who command around WvW, in that case i find condi less effective and i need to change to power.

Ranger would fit nice because i can rely on myself, mobility,escapes would fit me more as solo roamer.

As i mention, there is more legendarys that fits ranger but i wont rush anything now.

Ill see after beta what expansion brings to each class and then decide. In meantime i can level ranger a bit and thats it.

I wish i invest more time in ranger, but didnt research, now from begining

Which runes should i use as WvW roamer?(condi build) I got Nightmare runes and wearing scepter/warhorn.

Perplexity would fit nice too, with warhorn 4 and fears but they are to expensive for me now.

And how are Traveler doing ?

True. I can play both and prefer one over other and spend more time on that class. I like necro a lot, but still lacking something, as i said, legendary and feeling slow in wvw. I could wait for hot beta and see what they gonna change in those two professions and decide after that.

I thought necro is best condi class, but saw rangers and i was shocked how easily he can put condis + have mobility and survivability.

Necro can easily manipulate with them, staff 4, signet to transfer and corrupt boon which is nice but ranger anyway seems superior, maybe iam wrong, because that i need some feedback from ranger players or both

I got 3 80lvs, but want to main one and spend most time in game with one profession.

So i got another dillema

Lately I leveled necro to 80 to be my main for WvW and PVE content (excluding dungeons – i got ele as number 1 for that). I got him full rabid gear with Dire+Rabid jewelry (rings,amulet etc). Mostly i play WvW (roaming) and prefer condi builds. Got power build for zergs, but still dont prefer them, unless guilds organize them then i join and switch gear.

My 1st dillema was engi and necro and decided to go necro. I saw few videos with condi ragners (trappers or whatever) using axe, torch, sb and i really liked it. LB and GS rangers are good for PVE as i saw, and for WvW roaming if i want power build and pew-pew. I got ranger at lvl 27 and with tomes i can lvl him up quickly.

Does anyone have experience with both classes and can help me with decisions?

I like Necro but he is slow and while roaming i can 1v1, sometimes 1v2 but lacks of escape and moving like turtle around is killing me

Iam going for legendary wep too and iam dissapointed that no legendary fit necro and fits my build -.-. For ranger i can make one day kudzu or sunrise or howler which fits nice

Agree with that. Iam having fun in every aspect of game, going to finish second profession world completion, got gear for “new main”. Now i want to make ascended or legendary as i said. SW is pretty fun, chest farm + events around. Orr is as i know same. I dont have experience in FGS so need some help about what is the best to invest time in. I can find myself anywhere, but i would rather spend time in zone where i can profit little than other. Ill skip dungeons, done every of them, for farming i can do max 1h of them, with pugs its like 3 dung max? Anyway, ty for response

My goal is ascended gear or legendary wep To make asc i need min 10 g daily to make bolt of damask for next 30 days and thats probably it. For legendary, everything Mostly t6 mats and precursor, so that will never happen My quetion is:

What is the best way to farm gold or t6 mats? Dungeons, SW, FGS Champ train, ORR? Just want to hear experience from you ppl. should i focus on something for next month to achiwe my goal and what is the best to make money or anything to accomplish at least asc gear?

For example, when i open embroided chest, should i sell mats(gold), save them? Green gear in mystic forge or sell? What about blue – salvage or sell? I salvage rares for ectoplasm, but with others i dont know what to do

I hope i could manage better mats/gold/items, i probably lose money by wrong managment of them

I just leveled up my necro to 80. I will play condi necro in WvW(roam etc.) and going for map completion. I have enough money only for one gear, but dont know what to buy. Dire or Rabid? Mix of them? Weapons? Which runes? Perplexity are too expensive, what are alternatives – krait, nightmare or other and which are better?

I read this topic and i wont open another, so i ask you guys here. Got similiar dilema as OP. I would like to play some heavy condition profession or class who is best in that. In every MMO i liked DOT-s M8 from guild told me to go with engi, but didnt got answer why, pros and cons. My dilema is Necro or Engi. Mostly WvW – solo roam or small groups but condition build. I got power build at my Thief and Ele, and dont find them good enough to invest gear for condi. Necro and Engi are top as i read, but one of them are probably better in aspects i want to invest time – WvW(small groups, zerg if necessery) and sPvP – condi build mostly, but from time any because i can change it often i pvp. So? Engi or Necro? You probably got experience with those two profession so i ask you for help so i can level my next alt cross fingers for engi be objective

I saw many topics about how leveling became bad, how veterans dont approve this changes, ppl wont make new alts etc etc.

I am playing this game from release and system is not bad. I dont have 8 alts, because leveling at this game is journey and not race to 80 like i was playing WoW.
In WoW, my mission was to climb asap to 80 so i can play bgs, arena, dungeons, get awesome gear, play more all of this etc etc. So, new system is nice for me.

Maybe it looks like its for 3yo kids, but at least you have “carrot on stick” for every next lvl.
Ohh, ill unlock new weapon skill, that must be nice. Ding!! Nice, i got item, unlocked poi, vista, traits etc etc. I should check all that stuff.

Dont watch that from station as veteran player, look as new. You dont know nothing about game, you will log in for first time and start playing. That system would keep you to level more and more to see what game offer, which skills, traits, utilites, and to get some rewards in process.

Change is nice, my opinion. Most of you will disagree, but point is “new players” not veteran and their alts.

Just imagine yourself as first time GW2 player and would you play or not, be objective and give some constructive opinions. I know I would. Cheers and sorry for bad english.

I came back after 1 year pause to play again. Got map completion in 2013, and today after some readings at forum, etc. noticed i got from map completion one gift of exploration, but on wiki and here on forums says that 2 must be received. Didnt make any legendary yet. Is it bug? Someone got same problem?
