For a new server i would suggest to guest on blackgate, Jade quarry and tarnish coast to see which one you like best.They are the 3 biggest American servers.

It isnt that uncommon to run out of hearts if you stick to one starting zone.You can either go to a new one and just keep on talking to scouts until you find level 8 or up hearts or join the champ zerg in queensdale for a few levels.

imo the easiest way to get to the other starting zones is to just enter wvw and leave through the lion arch gate and go to the gates in the middle of lions arch.

The easy way to tell how big a server population is is their wvw ranking.With that said a lot of zones will still be empty on the big servers.The 2 most populated servers na are jade quarry and blackgate.

I agree with most of the list and after a few months break from the game had been trying to get back into playing but get bored after an hour or so.

Is that what SOR is doing? Recruit 24/7 even when they are outnumbering people in almost all time zones? I thought they only buy guilds… Anyways, I can attest to SOR’s bigger blobs since I have multiple accounts span across multiple servers. Maybe I must not be logging on enough to see them not have less than their opponents. Seems like BG can no longer form those big blobs like SOR. Strange that it seems like BG and JQ already have a few guilds that may have went unofficial and when it happens on SOR for 1 guild, they quickly “recruit multiples guilds” as they called it… to make sure their blobs doesn’t shrink.

Of course I mean sor actually won a matchup. It must be because we recruit guilds every week and overstacked the server. Have fun in pve jq/bg.

Gratz for the win last week sor. If im not mistaken its the first time that all 3 servers won a week in a 3 week period in tier 1 if we still want to call it that.

If you think it been bad these last few weeks just wait to next week. If farming can keep a ton of people out of wvw i can only imagine what introducing ascended weapons will do.

Yeah how about that, we have a 35 PPT, we have ATM (JQ) and MERC (BG) running their 100 man zergs to cooperatively hit our Garrison, we hold them off for 3 hours in the lord room before wiping both zergs. This is what I mean, our PPT in Oceanic and SEA DOESN’T MATTER, the fact that we’ll fight your clear and obvious double teams and win the one fight you’ll actually stick around for is what makes SOR the server it is.

What’s sad is you guys trolling or preening as if you win some big victory because you megazerg the BLs with 4 times our numbers and get points. Points do not matter, and in the face of such crushing defeats in the actual FIGHTING it’s amazing you bother posting anything here at all.

Wonder if you even realize how easy it is to defend one thing when thats all you have left.

I would rather be in a overflow that farmed champs as oppose to all of the speed runs i get.I try to explain to people you can actually farm and still finish in time but they want to get done as fast as possible.Out of the 5 runs i did today the highest was 15 minutes left and the lowest was 10 minutes.

Might be but since you mentioned twinking which all cant do i thought i would let people know there is an alternative. All i have to do is get one sp(which you port to) and buy one weapon and im set.I finish it all well under 20 minutes.

Sounds like people put in more effort than they need to to farm keys.Here is a very easy guide.Make a ranger and choose bear and commoner and sister path. Then do the intro and after port to garri to get the skill point there and unlucked troll urgent. Buy a short bow from the tp and go feed some cows and water some plants. Now just do the story quests until you get your key.

That’s too bad, both WARD and ACO are top notch guilds.

Even if you may not see it as JQ’s loss, it was without question SoR’s gain. We’re happy to have them here. They work well with the community and are very positive groups.

Believe it or not losing those guilds did not hurt jade nearly as much as losing Razareth.

I watched him lead what little jade was on during the day(3pm or so est) to get what points he could to help out the server and i dont mean on just one bl but map hopping. Now judging by the score jade has been keeping during that time its clear they did replace him and probably got more players but that doesnt take away from what he did for the server in the past.

Best is a matter of opinion. I just finished a Sylvari warrior and she may not look intimating like a charr but i think she looks good kinda drowish. Something is making uploads take forever so i wont do any more but i put 2 in the warrior pic thread and 3 in the Sylvari pic thread if anyone is curious.

Actually, most players on SoR I speak to hold both BG and JQ in high regards and respect the servers for what they are: WvW powerhouse servers.

If it feels like SoR is pushing JQ hard, it’s probably because of your top notch performance last week and they want to see where you’re really at in all respective timezones. Also, JQ does hold that #1 spot which everyone in this matchup is gunning for, so that could also be another reason why SoR might push JQ hard.

There’s a difference between pushing hard and sabotaging our PvE events. TW knows what I’m talking about.

We’re all for a good fight on the battlefield, but leave it there.

People get so angry when someone stops them from exploiting broken pve content. The entire in game economy is getting ruined by those exploiters in Orr. So sad.

For a sum damage from conditions alone of 7187 per second on a moving target; direct damage adds in around another 400 per second. Subtract 670 if the target isn’t moving. This doesn’t take into account might from other players or additional direct damage added by vulnerability, so it can go higher.

Umm….I think you need to look at the math again. You are not doing > 7k damage PER SECOND. Based on your numbers above, you’re doing 1685 damage per second max from conditions. Still a very good number, and it is amazing how fast it drops people (I run a S/S LB condi warrior), but 7k p/sec would be a bit OP.

And to the OP, yeah, it depends on your play style and other weapon. I run S/S LB so I’m full condi, but it’s laughable how long it takes to destroy things like siege (rams, etc) that aren’t affected by condis. My direct damage is like being hit by a 4 week old kitten. Paint will dry before I will kill a trebuchet. Sad. But against players, 1600+ DPS just from condis is nothing to sneeze at, and the condis are so easy to apply it doesn’t matter if they cleanse round 1, because round 2 is coming at ’em.

Took me a few seconds to figure out how you came up with the 1685 number.No condition spec not even warrior will ever just have 1 bleed on a target.While i really dont think many people will ever come close to the 7k from the post you quoted they will certainly be higher than 1.6k

Found the missing bg zerg. Been playing this game for 11 months and for the first time i had to put my settings on low in pve.

Havent been watching the score while i level my last alt but checked it today and i have to say im impressed with jq.I do have a feeling sor will take the lead by wednesday but it looks like those 2 weeks of easy matches put jq in the fighting mood for when they returned to where they belong(tier 1).

I was also surprised to see jq had the #2 and #3 player currently. I guess people on mag cant figure out that is also a game based on points not egos.

The standard spirit build using all rabid gear works well but it is very boring to play.

Looks like a boring start but i predict by tuesday it will pick up due to champ bags in wvw.I wonder how many servers will just run full map zergs all the time.

When i first started playing the game ranger was my first class and back then i had no idea how great some of the pet abilities are in certain builds.Now that i started playing the class again i see how certain pets can make a big difference in your build.

Now i just have to do some more testing to see which pets i want to use but im leaning toward two chill pets.Its kinda nice being able to keep people almost perma chilled.

Wish there was a post like this when i was new to the game. Maybe i would of stuck with the class instead of retiring it because of not understanding it fully.

I have yet to see FEAR on here trumpeting about how amazing they are with their ability to crash GvGs… but yeah, anyone that does it is pretty lame in my eyes, regardless of the server they are on.

(this is coming from the guy that complains in TS when his group is fighting people at their spawn… so maybe I just like sportsmanship/not trying to ruin other peoples fun)

The first time i ever heard of a guild crashing a gvg in tier 1 was TW. Now i know they are not complaining about what BT did just wanted to let others know that bit of information.

TW has never crashed a GvG. FEAR has on multiple occasions. When you crash a GvG, you essentially ruin any chances of partaking in one. There would be no benefit to doing it.

I guess if i would find the jq,sos,sor matchup thread with proof you would just deny it

Anet could solve the point differential made by overwhelming SEA numbers is to just turn of the PPT during the overnight hours. Or at least the overnight hours native to that area. Basically when people should generally be sleeping, the points don’t tick..

The intent of you post seems honest so I think it deserves an honest response.

The fact is, this game is available to be purchased and played by just about anyone in the world, and because of this, Anet cannot lock out content to the prime play times of one specific region. When a player in North America is usually sleeping, a player in Australia just got home from work, ate dinner, and is ready for some WvW. Not to mention there are people who may work a grave shift, and play during work/school hours for many.

I don’t mean the content is being locked out, it means everything remains the same. Players can do whatever they want, cap everything, siege everything all to high kitten. Fight small groups, zergs, get loot bags, karma, gold, etc.. The only difference, that ticker on the top of the screen reads “0”. That’s the only change.

I would presume, or at least I’d hope those who are in T1 (and who transferred here) are here for the fights, not the PPT. If they’re here for the PPT, they are probably in the wrong Tier. Many other tiers that can be transferred to, to rack up the PPT if they so choose. From what I understand, the general consensus was those who are here, are here for the fights because there are lots of them. If this is the case, then most should not be against shutting down the tick during off hours.

The idea has been kicked around 2-3 weeks ago and did have overwhelming support. Perhaps in the past it didn’t, but now (from what I’ve seen), it does.

Personally, I could care less either way. I don’t measure success or fun by how fast our zerg can run back to a base to defend it, or how our numbers overwhelm the opposition or vice versa during off hours. I measure it by even numbers attack and defending while I’m in the fray lol.

Sea players had no place to go when the game launched but EU players did but you just want to lock out sea for some reason.Also in Na people work around the clock on different shifts so why should their playtime be less valuable than others.

There really isnt nothing anet can do with how screwed up wvw is right now so i wish they would just put in 20v20 battlegrounds already and i would never step foot in wvw again.
