I really miss the 10/20/10/25/5 build i usually ran with before the patch.It was nothing special and most would of probably considered it kitten but it worked really well for me. IC was crucial to me since i had no other traits to reduce cooldowns. It might only be 4 seconds but it made that build so much less effective.
Im going to try a condition build but i dont think it will be nearly as good as my old build and thieves are going to finally give me trouble i think.
I did a quick test of toughness after my post and its working fine.I think the reason i felt more squishy was not having phantasmal healing and it proccing protection.I went back to 20 in inspriation and i feel normal again.
Prismatic Understanding Condition Mesmer (??? We never found out his build, but it wasn’t tPvP viable due to constant stealthing/mobility. However he did the best of all the builds in the trial with a 100% win percentage)
Wish you were able to find out what his build was.Normally i dont use cookie cutter builds but every attempt i made to make a build that uses pu has failed for one reason or another.I just cant get the stats how i like them
I feel same. I have 1,585 toughness and 1,100 vitality in wvw and I feel like I am in full berserker gear. I think some change happened in benefit from toughness. Also, some conditions are last way too long even with hoelbrak runes. I am running 20/20/30/0/0 with GS, sword/focus.
I also think something changed with toughness.I have 1863 toughness now and im way more squishy then when i had 1400.
Hour plus queue and still wating on SOR. Guess its serious this week, last week it was undermanned the whole week-end.
If it makes you feel better jq was outmanned on their own bl around a hour ago and those that were there just stayed in citadel when both north towers were pvd.
Right before i logged we got a commander so maybe we are no longer outmanned just havent had the interest to log back in.

Kinda weird how Anet buffed them. IMO they still aren’t very effective in the roaming sense but they’re even more powerful in zergs. But that’s just my opinion
Actually mine was a roamer and a very effective one but he was all power and toughness and specced to jump in and out of ds every 4.5 secs.I just couldnt roam to far away from safe spots or he was zerg food.
But like you said my intention if i start playing him again will be for running with the zerg since small scale fights and 1v1 are getting to rare these days.

Im not happy with the ic change but the new pu seems to be really good.Was testing it and at least a third of the time after coming out of stealth i still had 10 secs of protection left or more and thats just using decoy and only 30% boon duration
Choosing a tier one server is really simple.Do you want to transfer to one of the servers that can already win or would you rather try to help the third be competitive.
This is going to be one entertaining thread to read over the next week.Now i will agree with bg about jq going like lemmings to klovan but what do you expect from pugs.After the second wipe i queued up jqbl and it was so much more fun playing with people that actually worked as a team.I just wish i would of got to see more bg there but they seem happy staying in there 1 camp down south.
i did it on my main and a few alts(all level 80) and cant believe anet made it per toon instead of account.there will be a ton of people making a new toon just to farm it then delete that one and make another.
I’m not sure I like the idea of getting rid of the Tiers. I like them in the sense of you want be the best you have to work your way up. However I do think they should make it a little more reasonable to get to T1
all they had to do was loser moves down and winner moves up.dont understand why they are making it so the top 3 servers no longer play each other but its their game and they can do what they please.

Regardless, your crap damage setup seems to be actively killing your team mates. Congratulations?

Again, in your case, this isn’t even about your class. You chose the worst build you could ever use on a thief. The people you group with have no idea what they’re doing or they would kick you as soon as they see you. Pistol Dagger is such a terrible set, even Pistol/Pistol would be better at least for having some burst.

Actually i made my thief p/d because i like reading the tears on the forums when they die to one.Now if you could read i said i play multiple toons but i always start with my thief to do the first 3 runs so i can see what the group is like.
Now this thread is about cof farming.nowhere in that screenshot did the other rude person say anything about a speed run he said he should of known what a farm group is.Believe it or not other classes are allowed to farm cof.

What’s funny is that you actually think your P/D thief is pulling its equal value to the rest of the warriors in your group. I could bring my necro and auto attack and be proud that we can do “speedrun farms” but I wouldnt be so deluded as to think my necro is pulling its own weight. (not dying is not the same as pulling your own weight).
Actually what is even more funny is you think people are always grouped with warriors and that im always group with multiple ones.My favorite farm group was 4 thieves and a mez.we did 10 flawless runs.Another of my favorite groups was a group i wasnt even sure about at first that consisted of me 2 rangers and 2 necros and once again near flawless.one person did die at the rocks but big deal.
While the so called elite people are spending time trying to find that perfect group i already did my first 3 runs on my p/d thief and switched to my mes.

P/D? It’s hard to imagine someone isn’t disappointed when seeing that.
Think you should look at some of the pics i put up from my toons especially my mes that has all cof gear which includes 5 different weapons that i farmed in 3 days.
Dont get me wrong i do like groups when its me and 3 zerk warriors and a mes since i can get my daily revive done in one run sometimes.
My server has already figured out you dont need the so call perfect group wonder how long until others do.
Just like to point one thing out after looking at that pic.a lot of people view a farm group as in one that will do multiple runs.i always advertise looking for a cof p1 farm and nobody is ever disappointed when they see im a p/d thief.
A suggestion I’ve raised many times before is a token system as seen in many other MMO’s (STO, Allods, Neverwinter)
In addition to a chance of getting the desired drops, you also get tokens which can be traded in for the same items (or another unusual and desirable skin) – so even if you don’t get lucky, eventually you’ll get enough tokens to obtain the desired item; or at the very least some seriously cool consolation prizes.
This actually worked IMO, because in Allods and STO I did buy chests now and then, because I knew that even if I was unlucky, I wouldn’t need to buy more than X number of chests to receive the item anyway. GW2 provides no such cap, potentially you could buy close to infinite chests and NEVER get the item if you had insanely bad luck.
Thats almost like the suggestion i made.I feel you should be able to turn in 20 crates for a ticket.That way anet could still make money from people who want it right away and those that dont want to spend money could farm them.
No it actually does. Anyone who has farmed since the update hit can speak for it. Its really apparent as well. You can go in with 300 MF and pick up like 4 rares and 2 crates in 30 minutes, then suddenly the drop rarity goes down the drain. It has to be DR.
got 2 crates and 2 rares my first 15 minutes doing skelks but then i got greedy and formed a 4 man group and the next 45 minutes nothing for me.At least almost everyone in the party got i crate i guess.I did make around 9g total for an hour which isnt bad for non cof 1 runs.
I honestly find it hard to believe all these people are having so much trouble getting the crates. I understand the skin is rare, but from my experience and so many others who I talk to the crates aren’t rare at all. I farm the skelks at the SE corner of Southsun for 1 hour at a time every day for the past 6 days. I have yet to go a single hour without getting a crate and the same goes for everybody who I usually farm with. So in about 6 hours of farming spread throughout a week I’ve gotten 19 crates and a weapon ticket(on my 14th chest). And this is just with the 200% MF find buff.
If you guys want the ticket, go farm the skelks. Not only do they die WAY faster than karkas(and there are lots of them which respawn fast in a close area) so you can kill more per minute which that alone gives you a higher chance of getting chests and therefore tickets, but they also(again, from my experience) drop powerful bloods way more frequently plus vicious claws. One hour will get me anywhere from 4-17 powerful bloods(I’d say the average is about 9/h). And at 25s(33s at times) a blood, that’s some good money you’re making while farming for crates.
I don’t even run along the whole coast, I just stay near that little circular clearing just north of Pearl Islet.

Thanks for the post and the location.I been just farming karkas because as a mes all you have to do is drop a traited warden and its dead in like 5 secs with you just standing there.Maybe i will have better luck with the skelks and at least it wont be so mind numbing boring since i can actually do something.

Are you really comparing winterdays skins to the f/f and the one from southsun?Why not compare them to the halloween event that shield skin still sells for over 200g.The reason why people dont use the winterdays skins are because of how they look not because they are common.
I wont even bring up the sab skins and how many people are using them and anyone could get them.The reason why the new skins are in crates is to make money.It has nothing to do with trying to keep them rare.

Southsun taught me something else besides the useless mf stat.That is no matter how much you want something and no matter how hard you will work for it sometimes its better to just give up.
At least im making decent gold now from farming 2 chest events.
ATM jade is at very high so if any guild is looking to transfer now is the time.There is one requirement to transfer to jade though you have to run me through arah to get the shoulders from there.
