Did you craft the new pieces or were you able to Prefix change with Mystic Forge? I’m still working on getting my insignia, just wondering.

I converted in the forge using the exotic insignias/inscriptions, which I bought from merchant in Auric Basin using the map currency.

I’m using ascended Sinister trinkets because with the +20% condi duration from Viper armor/weapons, I have +100% fear duration, +80% confusion duration, +70% bleed duration, and a +50% duration for all other conditions (with consumables).

Basically I wanted to hit the +100% fear duration mark for synergy with Terror, then I invested the rest of my stats into offense via Sinister prefix.

Oh that’s awesome to hear! Can’t wait to get my insignia now!

A lot of what I wish for is already stated, so something else I would like to see is an Engine Overhaul.

I’m down for anything that would make this boring weapon more enjoyable. Especially since we’re losing Death Shroud with Reaper Shroud, Staff1 is our only 1200 range attack.

Just play the numbers game, if you keep throwing stuff in the forge for a precursor you’ll eventually get one. Took me lots of rare crafting to get mine but was worth it in the end.

I hardly ever get anything that makes the boss farming worth while. Course this happens to me even when I do SW. I farm and open boxes and never get any exos to sell. Meanwhile my love 1 shots a try at a precursor.

I tried so hard to get the staff for my necro. I finally gave up and bought a gem store weapon skin instead (I wonder if there is any relationship between extreme RNG and low drop rates for account bound skins and the frequent release of black lion skins?)

And the RNG God gives you a big horse laugh if you had dreams of getting the full set.

I firmly believe the RNG God left with all the Human Gods…

I usually like to chime in with these to help people feel better with 15 level 80 exotic drops since launch. That’s it. And yes I have been keeping count since it’s easy to do when the number is so low. One ascended chest and it was Rampager’s shoulder piece. Unsurprisingly none of those 15 exotic drops were precursors, in fact the highest worth one was about 5g. So I am absolutely with you on being done with RNG

If you had suggested this some months ago, I would not have agreed to a token system. However, with the recent wallet changes that allow for new currencies to be added easily, I don’t see the trouble in adding a new currency that will allow players over time to finally get the item they are looking for.

Of course, if too many new currencies are added, it will make the game feel a little more grindy no matter how it is implemented.

I just like how SW was made… You get tokens, you buy what you want. I got both rings and all the recipes while playing casually and enjoying my time… Teq on the other hand, is I HAVE to be there or if i miss it, that’s it, that impossible chance to get it is gone. I’d rather just fight him, get a token and slowly work my way to getting the Hoard, not hope and pray then ultimately remember you’re at the low end of the spectrum so nope, no chance for me to get it.

I’m actually starting to lose it now… Guildmate that has been playing for 50 days got a Precursor, 2 Teq’s Hoards, several Ascended Chests… In all 3 years, i’ve gotten nothing but garbage and it just keeps getting worse and worse… Salvaged 10 level 80 rares using Silver-Fed once, got 0 ectos… He’s on the best reward side of the spectrum, i’m on the complete opposite… Why do you hate me so much ANET D’:

Get a better PC. Mine is not the best by any stretch, but the game is stable and fps are fine and I don’t get any problems with everything on high/ultra and on. And if you want the game to.be better/ stable turn down your settings, and accept that you don’t have the best PC in the world.

My PC is plenty capable.

i5 2500k @ 4.5Ghz with 16GB DDR3 1866 and 2x GTX 670 SLi (in Single GPU use for GW2 cause it doesn’t utilize sli at all). Sorry, but i’m not upgrading for 1 game that is known to have an archaic engine.

My main issue is the visuals, not really performance, but I do believe people that have lower-end hardware would appreciate the option to turn off backpieces and minis as well. I think 99% of all backpieces are ugly and dumb looking. I’d rather have a less visually cluttered game ( i only find the Shadow of Grenth to be cool looking, but even then, it’s hidden on my character).

Minis and backpieces of other players? They ruin the aesthetic of the game. Maybe have a toggle for each? Less clutter on screen.

Make a Reaper and play with it to see if I’ll like it or not. Don’t care about the other professions or elite specs, only have a Necro (and a subpar poorly equipped warrior that i rarely ever touch).

A QoL (imo) option that hides Minis and Back Pieces on everyone.

Less RNG, more working towards a goal (like SW ring/amulet and Armor Boxes… That’s fun. Teq’s Hoard = not fun).

I’d rather work towards a goal rather than deal with this games RNG anymore. Teq’s Hoard has been very infuriating for me to acquire, i’ve done it countless times, yet guidmates that just started playing got Hoard + Ascended chests. Grats to them, but the RNG system of this game can go to hell.

It´s not that big of deal I think. Since only a fraction of the player-base visits the forums, the survey isn´t representative anyways. I also think we all more or less agree that dagger/x and staff are probably our most commonly used weapons right now.

Other than that the survey provides a really nice overview on which skills/weapons are currently underused/deemed worthless and that is important imo.

This being my first Survey, I just stayed with 1 profession. I’m thinking of preparing surveys for each profession so we can have a small sample of which skills and weapons are underused and which are more popular.

You should have made a seperate indicator for mainhand and offhand dagger, since right now most necro builds will have dagger in some format, but they tend work best on different builds, but not always.

well it’s not a top tier pvp, it’s not a ranked pvp, neither i’m a skilled player, but i don’t think it’s completely useless…

i left all my alts for this, deleting 4 my 100% map completion alts, ditching my main guardian, so i can focus with necro as my new main, dissapointed yes, i know how stressed i am with necro and the latest patch, but after all, it’s fun beating other people with something they looked down upon…so i decide not to running away…

ps : i dont do dungeons or fotm so i dont have to worry about how people cry don’t like having a necro in their party…

Meh… I have no use for a character slot… I can tolerate the one in Ultimate Edition, but not a 2nd one. 800 gems would have been more enticing.

New patch also made the only character/class I enjoyed to be boring and kitten…

The problem with just throwing on a character slot to the Basic pack is that then you’re devaluing the middle pack option, which has one included. (And the other goodies are just not worth $25.)

They need to either:
- Give BOTH the Standard and the Deluxe versions gems equal to a character slot
- Make the expansion and the core game 2 separate codes, so that we actually get what is stated (HoT and a free copy of the core game)

The only way around this right now is to have a relatively good processor. This game has poor resource management and, as such, relies on the processor for a lot of its graphical tasks. Quad-core i5s with >3.2 GHz seem to work pretty well, but them changing their game engine is obviously the best option to take in the long run (even if it takes years yet). If they wait too long, they will continue to be stuck with turn-of-the-century technology, and that’s no good.

Ehh… I’m expecting our specialization is going to be quite sub par (prove me wrong ANet)… So I stashed a bunch of tomes ready to finally make an alt (I don’t like having alts and only play my necro) and ditch my necro for good.

Since they have no idea what to do with our specialization, I bet you Necro will be the last to reveal.
