You guys really need to post a little more on the forums. Like honestly it doesn’t even matter what or how much you post as long as there’s some RED on the front page. You don’t have to give away info on projects or anything. I mean seriously, even before you almost never gave away that much info on what’s coming up next, but you guys still posted on the forums from time to time. I understand it’s summer and probably some of you went on vacation (I hope you had fun) but a little post here and there won’t hurt, I mean I’m pretty sure you left someone back at the office, or you all just went on a group vacation?
Anyway the main point here is the people that visit this forum get antsy really fast if they feel they’re being ignored. Let this be a lesson. Try giving them posts more often, even if they don’t contain any info.
TL;DR: Please the masses more.

Talk to your playerbase, dont treat us as zombies that will follow your “colored commander tags” anywhere.
We are all capable of understanding the reasons why you can’t do such-and-such, or why you won’t do it. Well maybe not the 12,13 or 14 year olds. But us over the teen years of our lives will be able to.

I just love the thread topic, but 5 pages in all we heard was: “There will be CDI topics, that will impact the game probably after 6 months or more.”

Who cares, give us the information, so that we can finally decide if it is worth waiting for those 2 things, or just move on to other games…

i have farmed 100 BLKeys before the april 15th patch and i opened them on the 16th.
And i got 3 tickets +38 scraps, so almost 7 tickets out of 100 chests.

Might be above average luck, but that is my experience.

The only addition to the april 15th patch, that seems like you took a step back and not forwards.
Why did you give us more options for Daily a few months ago, and now just basically reverted back to the old ways?
PvE dailys are now more tedious, it feels like we have to go out of our way to finish a daily. Where as before we could just play the game and in no time i would have my daily done.

I average around 27 minutes with the Human Warrior Commoner routine, what’s your secret?

Well there are a few:

1. If you have Digital Deluxe upgrade on your account, its super useful because it gives you a banker golem everytime you make a character. SO you can access your bank from anywhere.
2. Get a level 0 blue quality sword and warhorn;
white level 0 coat, leggings and boots. Apply a minor sigil of justice on both sword and warhorn. Which together gives 6% more damage to outlaws.
3. When you get to the garrison on your lvl1 personal story quest, if you see other players doing the event you can go arround the garrison straight to the final boss.
4. Unlock Charge and Savage Leap skills as soon as you can, as they help you get arround faster.
5. When you get a choice of rescuing the hospital or orphanige, choose hospital. Its much easier and faster to do.

Other than that its preety much just getting to know the warps and where to stand to kill mobs faster.

17minutes per key on average. I know its not the best income per hour, but at least i wont feel dissapointed if i dont get anything worth while. All i lost was some playtime.

And thats why you dont buy the keys, but you farm them…

well i have been doing EoTM for the achievs quite a lot lately, and thus have gotten a lot of rares. And there were a lot of cases that i didnt get any ectos from a rare. Maybe even more frequent than before.
But there were also a lot of cases where i got 3 globs. The 1 and 2 globs were rare tho.
So maybe ist just a streak of weird RNG choices…

So what will happen with the gathering nodes, like orichalcum and ancient wood?
Since there wont be main server anymore, the nodes will change each time we login with a different character?

Something has gone horribly wrong, when “playing” the TP is more lucrative and profitable than actually “playing” the game…

If that is the future of gw2, no amount of feature patches, updates, new lands, new races will excite me.
If we have to be some economics geniuses, to predict markets or shifts in the markets, than you should rename this to Stock wars 2.
Also TP should be there to facilitate the needs of an average consumer/provider. To allow limitless trading, will soon result in abandoning the game. Because it will make the gap between rich and “poor” so big, that if a new player comes in game, there is no way he will ever replicate the achievements/earnings of a player that played before him.
New player playing for a year will not tbe the same as when a veteran player played its first year.

Does it reward karma at the end of each fractal or at the end of the 4th fractal?

is happening to me also.
I can’t do 30 minutes of LA invasion without these karma bugs.
Also i tried it with different characters, doesnt help.
Seems there is something wrong with the latest patch, because it didnt do this before.

Remove the broken DR for karma gain from events.
I am not able to farm karma in LA.
Tried changing chars, nothing.
Tried logging off, nothing.

I have been farming the LA events a bit and every day i get hit by DR it seems.
I can do about 30 minutes of normal event farming, then i get 19/23 karma per event.

I tried logging out for an hour and then trying it again, doesnt work.
Tried different characters, doesnt work.

Anyone knows of a solution to this?
I mean i’m all for working towards something, but we had our karma gain nerfed by so much, that events are preety much my only way of getting Obsidian shards.
And this DR on events kicks in waaaaaaaaay too early, to counter-balance the karma nerf…

Ascended armor is a work of art, covers everything while staying complimentary.
At first I thought it looked ugly when it was introduced but you just need to find the right dyes.
It would take something incredibly better for me to even think of transmuting it into something else.

Can you tell me which dyes you used?

The only thing that i don’t like regarding Scarlet and LS is that it moves at a too slow of a pace.
By this time we should be more informed about Scarlet and the whole LS progress.
That way we can get behind it or leave it forever.
So increasing the pace of the story would greatly increase the anticipation for future releases.

Tbh, i just stockpile money.
I do daily farm of orichalcum and ancient wood on all my chars (i have 4) and just stockpile the ingots and sell the wood planks.

After my first legendary, i made Frostfang, i did lose that goal that keeps you logging in every day. But after a while you get over that, and just start doing things you didnt try yet.
Like, do some PvP, some dungeons, Fractals in the next update will be very helpful.
Try out some different builds, now im on my 5th i think for my WA.
Next ill probably go for trying out some build for my Guardian.

So just mix it up, dont think oh theres the end of the road. Set different goals, like get 1k of gold, and a full stack of globs, t6 mats, etc.
Start getting all the minis, maybe do some Black lion Key farming, etc.

Why doesn’t the Axe leave the same green toxic trail as the Dagger?
If it would have the trail it would be the best axe atm.
Besides not that many good looking axe skins exist.

Is there maybe a sale for the Digital Deluxe Upgrade planned soon?
I would like to buy it, and a sale would be just awesome.
I know it has gone on sale before for 1600 gems.

Why are only people that don’t want to invest time in the game complaining about champ farming?

1. " it’s like standing in LA and getting free gold. " – people have always preferred the path with the least resistance. And people forming a zerg and defeating champs is that way. Besides a zerg for me is the best way of displaying a community working together for a greater good of all involved.
This quote is the problem with “teen” members of the community. Those that are used to having everything handed to them, and not having to put any effort in anything they do – then expecting to have everything that others who put in work and effort have.

2. When you start playing a game, you are considered a newbie. As time passes and as you “play” the game, you get good at it.
Noone has ever started to play a game (even you OP – opposite of what you might think) and be extremely efficient and good at their profession.
Getting one profession to level 80, and you are now considered an expert at your profession? I think not, and you shouldn’t be, as you can level one character in 7 days.
7 days for an MMO is hardly calling it experience, is it?

3. Dynamic event in Orr are basically events where you and your fellow community members stand together and defend or attack a certain point of interest. A point which risen would like to own, but fail over and over and over, because the community stood together and prevented that from happening.
Now why would you keep doing that? First thing you should ask is why do the risen never learn? why do they keep attacking the same POI, the same way, with the same mobs? Probably because implementing smart-AI would probably take a lot of effort on a-Net’s part and they simply can’t afford it. And if the mobs are that stupid, that they keep attacking the same way and in the same intervals, you would be stupid not to take advantage of it, and “farm” them.

4. My favorite quote from the entire post:

That my friend is the point of MMOs. I never expected to come into an MMO 6,7,8 months later and have everything that those who supported the game from day1 had…
If you think that someone playing/supporting the game 8 hours per day and someone playing 2 hours per day should have the same amount of gold and materials, you must be living in another dimension or something.
Also, if you stop playing for 3 days, and i put in 21 hours of play time in those 3 days, surely i will have more items/gold than you by the time those 3 days come to an end.
Someone playing 10 hours per day will always earn more than the one playing 2 hours.
And rightly so.

So those of the “teen” members of the community please stop whining about champ train being to OP. When you were farming CoF p1, didn’t noone say kitten, Either you got with it, or you were left behind. DEAL WITH IT, it’s not a fair world we live in…

Champ train seemed to be the optimal gold/hour if you would put the time in.
If they take that away from us, how else are we supposed to farm money then?

At least getting a legendary was possible for some of us that dont farm cof, and/or manipulate the TP…

Well, i made my legendary yesterday, and come next year and years after, i would like to be able to look up, when i first equiped it.
It just seemed a good idea.
Besides, it cant cost that much money, get someone with 10 minutes of spare time on it, and he should be able to do it.

Just a simple add-on to achievement window:

Add a date when we completed an achievement.

Simple as that.

Since karma gain has been greatly reduced, i was very happy to see that the Mad King’s Labyrinth had events popping up, giving exp, karma and coin.
However…
Doing events this afternoon with some karma boosters, i noticed that i started getting 10 karma per event.
So, i thought OK, ill just log out for a while and come back later. So i logged back in after 1,5 hours and i was still affected by DR.

My suggestion would be, since it was such a “great” idea to reduce karma gain with dailies/monthiles, etc. remove the DR from events alltogether.

the hunt for obsidian shards is now way to long. I wont say its too hard its just a matter of time and queue length to WvW.
The amount of karma that we previously got was too much, but this amount is way to little.
They should introduce a new way of rewarding karma vials.
Maybe one daily segment = 1 karma vial?
Or add them to JPs.
Plus, enable the karma booster to influence the consumables again…

Where can i exchange my ticket for the Jade weapon skin?
I had 2 sitting in my bank, and when i checked the Black Lion Weapons Specialist they were not listed in his vendor window.

Are we still able to get them? And consequently sell them on TP?

Is there going to be a karma consumable as a reward for finishing the Clocktower each time?
As scarce as karma is nowadays, i think it should be…

Whats up with champions not spawning anymore in Frostgorge Sound on Piken Square server?
Was this purposely made or is it bugged?

probably one of the easiest fixes would be if i put the Character model limit option on Lowest, it should not display all of the name tags. That would probably increase the FPS by 10-20 at least.

It should count towards the meta achievement…
Its hard enough that it should be enabled.

One thing tho.
When we get to 0 Lives, and we go to the “Red room of Death” and we choose Infinite Continue Coin option, give us more than 10 Lives. Make it 50 or 25.

The random explosions that happen, whats up with those?
Sometimes they hit you, sometimes they don’t. There is no way of telling where they are? Or is there? Please any tips, its getting annoying…

Lanfear, that is a good point. BUT saying 1 year into the venture of GW2 that you dont know how to release it? Dont they have all the data they ever wanted by now to make that decision?
Also, breaking down an expansion worth of content to multi-mini-expansions would seem watered down content.
And i understand that now that they got into the LS groove and (i guess) dont have the man power to work on the expansion full time, would take some adjusting for them and us players. We would not get LS anymore for the time being until they release the expansion, but that would be the sacrifice to make.
It would really determine if we would like to continue supporting the game, if we like the way the game is being played out, etc.
Right now, it seems like a blind sniper is taking shots with each LS update. It just feels random. Seems like a story being described form 10 different point of views.

The game is 1 year old. You guys should have that figured out on day 1, not being disrespectful but this seems like you are delaying the decision, to force feed us this Living story. The decision about an expansion is huge, and not being decided 1 year into the release of the game is quite frankly a disasterous business plan. People are going to get bored, and i guess now allowing us to farm for our legendarys will secure your player base for a bit more time, however not for long… What will happen when players get their legendarys? Oh, ascended armor. That will get players interested again for about 7 days.
