Playing the TP nets you easily 100g over the last 4 weeks.
About 20g – 25g at 60 since I rarely use the way point and craft
as someone pointed out, 1,600 account is like 33 per world. There’s more than 33 on queensdale or kessex hills.
Srsly the flying hack needs to be stopped. Already seen it twice in the last week
What if they laundered the money?
It’s probably both Bots and Players’ needs combined.
Crafting Mats like claws, blood, totems are massively diving across all grades. The bots were probably getting tons from loot bags, booty bags, etc.. Causing over supply.
Players that wants to craft are probably maxed out (400) so demand for most grades probably also dropped.
But the rapid drop over a single day may be caused by something else entirely. Things like TP going down, TP not allowing selling or buying can cause large dips I’ve seen.
It should concern everyone that the game is dying even if you like the game as is. Areas like I mentioned before: Timberline falls, sparkfly fen, lornar’s pass – Some DEs in these areas are almost un-doable due to the lack of people.
There are a lot places that’s quite dead even on a full server like Jade Quarry. Lornar’s Pass, Harathai hinterlands, Sparkfly Fen, Timberline Falls are deserted almost all the time.

I see this sometimes, and I just buy them out and re list them at the appropriate price and make the profit. It’s that simple if they undercut so much
The TP fees are: 5% listing on sell price paid immediately to list. 10% of sell price be paid if you do sell.
Yea, they just added that not long ago >< I’m a big trader and it really annoys me trying to list in bulk. Seriously up the 250 or put a higher threshold to trigger the cooldown on sell!

I agree. This problem needs to be dealt with.
In the past, ANet has banned accounts in mass. This prevents bots from actually figuring out exactly HOW ANet has figured out that they were definitively “bots”.
However, with the sheer mass of bots in this game, I think that they need to do these mass bannings more frequently, perhaps on a biweekly basis.
And I have a feeling its not just the bots that are going to be banned. They may be after the gold sellers and buyers as well. Still, something needs to be done quickly.
They obviously aren’t just sitting on their thumbs; they’ve been working hard on the last patch. However, I think bots need to be addressed immediately and definitively.
The botters already made enough money (if they sell/mail) to get new accounts, and they don’t care if you ban them. They already profited and hurt the game economy. Anet waited way too long.
Remeber how serious they were when they banned people for that karma bug, and the food vendor exploit? But completely ignore bots, really now?
There’s one good thing though, the fine crafting mats like claws, totems, vials have taken a nose dive due to the bots getting so many from bags/pouches :S. Small Claw was at 1s a week ago, now is like 20coppers lol
I get infractions for even mentions bots here on this forum. Wish they would spend that energy actually policing the game.
You probably don’t want to bank on that iron ore. It’s not going to rise much if at all. Unlike copper ore which is only available <25 areas, iron ore is literally everywhere from 25-60. Also copper ore is used in jeweling while iron is more limited.
This trading glitch on Thursday caused an unnatural dive in prices. Those that were able to get buy orders in that day had upwards of 20copper more margin to play with. Was awesome =S
Yep, there’s tons and Anet hasn’t been serious about it so far.
I wish they were at least as diligent about bots as they were with the food-vendor exploit or with the dungeons.

The trading post is fine. Let the free market sort itself out.
And the “exponential” returns you hear about are rare. There’s actually very few ppl able to rake in 100g+ a week in the TP in comparison to the size of the community.
I only barely make 40g a week and I have been focusing on the TP more than leveling. But I also only play maybe 10-15 hours a week.
Since I just trade most of the time, it wasn’t a big deal. The TP being down almost half the time bugs me more
To fix world hopping harvest exploit
It wouldn’t be so bad if the DE/Hearts/Meta events/Dungeons boils down to a handful of categories that just get repeated over and over.
in that case we should also do away with the trading post
Negatives:
IMO Hearts, DE and Meta Events (shaterrer, shadow behemoth, etc…) are really really repetitive and boring after the first week.
DE and Hearts can be boiled down to a handful of the same thing: collect X this, kill X that, Kill that veteren/champion, guard this guy to safety, etc. Occasionally there is an interesting heart/DE, but those are rare.
And the meta events are boring as hell and takes zero skill. For example, the Shatterer just stands there and take hits like an idiot and occasionally drops some bomb at the ground at the same place every time. Same with Shadow behemoth…. For the love of god, buff these guys up Anet, give them some intelligence!
Dungeons are also quite boring. 10x+ more HP and 5x+ more damage of the same foe does not make it ‘fun’. Give these enemies more abilities or special ones. Don’t just increase their stats.
Positive of this game:
+ Leveling is fast due to xp from everything, so that’s awesome.
+ Harvesting/Mining is cool
+ Exploration is quite fun and the world is quite detailed, but the maps can be less confining. It’s like every map is a rectangle with a perfect rectangular border of mountains.
Needs something for sure, since there’s not really anything else interesting minus exploring. But you can only do so much of that. The hearts and DE are generally pretty boring and they mostly boil down to 3 or 4 categories.
Gear progression would make things more interesting, but it shouldn’t get too extreme. Maybe halfway between Diablo2-esque gear progression and GW1’s gear plateau would be nice. Of course limited to PVE
I agree. I think I spent more time around divinity reach trading/flipping than playing last week.
Yea, lots of bots and spammers. I report them all the time, but nothing seem to be done about them.
The game is good, but there needs to be more content end game. I got to a high level casually and have no incentive to re-do what is basically the same stuff again and again.
Really, the hearts and DE feels boring, and they essentially boils down to Kill X number of this, Collect X number of that, protect someone, kill mob leader. It gets old.
