LF a raiding krewe that is EU-timezone friendly (i.e, finishing before reset time), but on NA. After a few particuarly bad pug experiences recently, I thought I’d try again to find a raiding home!

I have a Condi Ranger, Tempest and Viper Necro all meta geared and specced. I’ll pug bosses I’ve killed in training, but won’t burden groups with bosses I haven’t seen enough, so bosses I have killed, I’ve had a fair amount of kills/try exp on:

1: VG, Gors
2: Trio
3: Escort, KC
4: Overseer

I’ve trained on Sloth, Sab. Sam and Cairn, but no kills.

Available most days reset-5 til reset-1, would be awesome to raid with you

I’m in the odd situation:

  • I’m European but on NA servers
  • I can rarely raid Mondays
  • I’ve trained extensively on numerous bosses, but don’t have enough LI to be truly considered experienced.

Raiding “credentials”:

I currently run with TTS’s training group (thanks Esk!), but with inconsistent attendees, progress can be very difficult when each week there are complete newbies. I’ve joined a couple of successful and unsuccessful pugs with no LI requirements. I don’t want to be carried, but I also don’t want to be consistently held back by others.

My Tempest and Reaper are both fully ascended and meta specced.

Escort, VG – Killed repeatedly on Tempest and Reaper
Trio – Killed twice on Tempest
Gors, KC – trained extensively on, several single digit wipes on both.
Sloth – killed once, as Ele on Slubling duty, but this was some time ago (seem to have bad luck with Sloth pugs)
Sab – trained a few times (including cannon duty). Seen 2nd phase
Matt, Xera – minimal “for lulz” pulls.

Any groups out there that can help my predicament?

The tooltip (which states only the collection is required) doesn’t match reality – so either there’s a tool tip bug, or an actual one.

Precursor needs time to complete (it uses time-gated materials), but could be getting on with other parts of the collection while waiting on the time gates.

I’ve completed the Unbound collection, but Kelvei just tells me to go craft the precursor, rather than offering the book to unlock the Ad Infinitum collection.

All other tiers allow you to do the collection alongside the crafting, and the tooltip states, that only the collection needs to be done to unlock the next stage.

Would you PLEASE fix that LFG bug already!!

As title. A group if us managed Migrane last night, but during the last flight phase, 2 of us ran to the same updaft, and neither of us got launched. Before we had time to react we were in time out, and the remaining 3 completed it.

On an earlier attempt, a different 2 of us didn’t see the updafts.

When using LFG, in fractals specifically in this instance, the description when re-queuing in LFG is copied from the previous LFG listing, not what is typed in the window.

i.e:
Go to LFG, say “LF 3 more level x!” Press Enter.
Complete level x, a player departs
Go to LFG type “lf 1 more level y” in description. Press Enter.
“LF 3 more level x!” appears in the LFG listing.

Unashamedly a fangirl rather than a hater. As a Sylvari main, never really understood people’s hatred, and always felt the story a partnership of 2 Wyld Hunts (or 3 with Caithe’s).

I think the worst thing for me wasn’t that he sacrificed himself to kill Mordy, but that you had to do it. That part was what I felt was pandering too much to the hate club.

I’ll keep it short and sweet:

Loved:
The pact

  • The recognition of who you are again
  • All of the optional dialogue, being able to talk to various people about all sorts of stuff
  • DE’s involvement again, was nice finally talking to Logan about what happened to Rytlock etc.. and now that another dragon’s on the horizon they’re active again. More please, it makes no sense story wise for them to “sit out” in favour of the bi-conics
  • Trahearne seemed a lot more alive, and as a sylvari was good to talk to him afterwards about the pale tree.

The library
So much wonderful lore. Please make this accessible outside of the LS instance for ease!
I loved the reference to your character as a sylvari!

Glint’s Lair
Pretty much perfect, I was constantly cheering on TS about how everything referenced GW1.
Only thing I didn’t like was how Kas and Jory suddenly became experts on the GW1 lore.

Down Side:
Only one thing really.. I played most of the instances with friends, and they couldn’t interact with books or see the optional diaglogues with the NPCs

Accessibility

  • If I’m in a guild scheduling raids don’t make me leave the 16th in LA.. but if I could have 2 raids of 7/8 instead, without the difficulty getting stupid, that’s fine.
  • ~1hr or less to complete
  • Don’t limit to a single guild per instance

Tell a story/Fit in the Lore
Don’t make the raid be a disconnected instance that no one remembers what it’s really about other than the mechanics. Or worse, something which jars with continuitiy/existing lore.

Replayability
Most harder dungeon paths I did once to see what it was about, and that was it. Increase replayability by different options within the raid, different sets of achievements, and even some randomness.

Fantastic story and encounters. Glint’s lair was amazing, the music was amazing… all in all brilliant!

Was also good to see more of DE (and Trahearne), even if not voiced.

Environmental Options

Goal
Give players options of how to complete a raid to increase re-playability and help with smaller groups

Proposal Functionality
Before a raid encounter, either through dialogue or other forms of interaction, several variables of the environment could be reconfigured. Each should be of similar difficulty, but enable a group’s strengths to be played for. They could compensate for being heavy or light in a specific profession/role, and offer achievements for each ‘option’ to encourage different options to be explored.

For example:
Should I fight the boss on land or underwater?
GW2’s underwater fighting is one of it’s fundamental differences with other games.

Should I fight in a room that’s on fire or a room with asura platforms which disappear?

Should I fight in a room with pre-existing fire or water combo fields?

Should I fight with a regen buff or a damage buff provided by the helpful NPC at the beginning of the dungeon?

Should I fight with the aid of NPC a, b, c, d or e?
Like in that mission in factions I can’t remember the name of, all NPCs should have a unique ability which could help. Smaller groups may even be able to take more NPCs.

Caithe, Logan, Rytlock, Zojja and Eir are referred to as the Iconics.

Rox, Braham, Marjory, Kasmeer, and Taimi are referred to as the Bi -conics.

Thus, it seems they are the second iteration, so to speak, of the original Iconics.

I logged in at an odd time for me (around 13.30 server), and found Kasmeer, Jory and Taimi having a completely different conversation to usual and it being time to go to bed.

The living story constantly refers to The B-iconics as “your friends”, and they refer to you as “my friend”.

I’m a Sylvari, whom Kasmeer has constantly belittled, and feel little to no kinship with her, and to a lesser extent Marjory. (I’m sure other players have similar issues with Rox and Braham, although they “work” for my character).

Caithe and Trahearne are my friends, Sieran was my friend , Arlon and Pellam are my friends, Shashoo is my friend (etc..), Kasmeer et al aren’t.

TLDR: Please stop using ‘friend’ to refer to the PC

With this update Anet have finally disconnected the Living and Personal Story timelines completely. (Horray!)

Does this mean we might see more of DE/Trahearne/other PS characters in the Living Story for some continuity between the two at last?

As a persisting flames based ele, I have constant frustrations running with guardians (and I regularly play with 2). However, if it is just based on your own fields first – what about the guardians who actually want to blast something that isn’t a light field?

Allowing players to prioritize which types of field to combo with first seems the most awesome idea. (with some presets like offensive/defensive/utility)

A possible issue with this is if there are multiple fields of the same type down. As a Persisting Flames ele, my fire fields also grant fury, so I’d want mine prioritised over other fire fields,

Intermittently getting an error removing IP addresses from the my account whitelist. Then takes a good few minutes to reload the page with current logins and ips to remove more, initially saying I do not have email authentication active.

For the most part, the living story updates so far has left me wondering what the heck Destiny’s Edge have been up to rather than be involved. Especially Tequatl given their history of fighting dragon champions!

I wonder if this’ll start a trend of each of the dungeons getting a new path as part of the LS and the respective Edge member leading on it?

A custom field in the guild roster would be really handy for short notes on an individual player. This could include for friend guilds, real names, or typical play times etc…
These could be set by the guild member in question and/or those in guild with specific privileges.

Jumping Puzzle Feedback [Merged]

Just a quick bit of feedback to say I think the difficulty was spot on. It was easier than Mad Kings which made my RSI flare up from the amount of tries I spent on it, but far from trivial.

I liked how the snowballs and winds made you have to think rather than just know it by muscle memory.

Having multiple initial paths helped a lot when it came to the initial rush of jumpers, by the time the paths merged, enough people had fallen that there was plenty of clearance to see your toon.

Whenever we get to Jade Maw, he crashes out, either he doesn’t load at all, or crashes shortly after loading. He’s therefore stuck on fractal level 2 (as are the rest of us who play with him!)

The issue I had has been fixed – it was just a display error. The “missing” upgrades from the queue were completed, and added to the guild as expected.

I’m experience a similar issue as Infineeus.3726 – I had two upgrades (Guild Stash and Politics Level 1) queued, which have disappeared and no refund for these applied to the guild.
