why not think of it this way: it represents the close together formations of raids that give you less room and visual line of sight which makes sense.
that doesnt make sense because the ui should never interfere with your ability to use the game world.
it just needs to be fixed.
this is a ridiculously annoying problem while raiding. We need an option to “lock” the raid frame container. I dont know about you guys but I like my raid frames pretty big for one reason or another, but more often than not i have problems dropping aoes on part of my screen in raids or issues not being able to click or drag my mouse because the raid frame “container” blocks clicks to the game world. (I dont mean the raid squares, I mean the transparent black container that the squares are in.)

Right now, theres a little gap between Deposit Materials and Compact in the cog wheel menu that if you click (which happens a lot because bag wars 2), it clicks on the search bar underneath and you cant run or type because everything goes in the search bar til you press escape. There’s no reason for the search bar to even be this long that this can happen. You cant even type that far in the bar before it stops! It’s really annoying. When you’re running around and trying to manage your inventory and then this happens multiple times per day and stops you in your tracks and causes confusion and annoyance, it just feels like a ui oversight.
either make the search bar shorter or make it so the cog menu is fully on top of the search bar and clicking in between options in the menu doesnt click the search bar below. or get rid of the non interactive gaps between the options. please!

if it isnt the inquest assassin spawning in the wall and despawning, its earth elementals spawning in the ground being unkillable which fail your achievement. ive tried this achievement about 10 times and every time something bugs out.

Getting those hero points is really not that hard. Some may not be instantly achievable, but hey, there are other ones on other maps. Try your luck over there.
Getting the first few masteries doesn’t really take long either. Now you can traverse alot more and discover alot more places. Do other events/adventures and gain some more xp. Oh and btw have you done any of the story missions yet? Try one of those. Or just fight random mobs. Some of them can be quite the challenge.
This is how I’ve been playing the game and it has been a lot of fun.
That is why I have a hard time understanding why people cry about having to grind all those masteries.
Because those are all opinions. And so are ours. Doesnt make you wrong and doesnt make us wrong. You dont have to agree, you just have to recognize the different viewpoint instead of saying its whining nonsense. Of course there is a lot of useless complaining from both sides, but there is absolutely posts with great critique and even suggestions.
If there are a lot of people complaining about something, maybe there is some kind merit to it, ya know? Things can always be improved and criticism is good for the game. sucks that its so negative and not constructive most of the time but it still brings things to attention.
I cannot fathom why people don’t want to play the game they paid 50 bucks for. Take your time, savor the content, and remember that it’s not a race. Masteries are account-wide, so you only have to obtain them once. People cried for difficult PvE content for two years, now they have it and they won’t stop whining about it taking time.
They’re asking for the classes to be unlocked right from the get-go so they can play a new way and experience the game in a new way, WHILE devouring the new content. They aren’t begging for free legendaries, or to immediately have access to everything, even though it’d be nice to not grind through weeks of bullcrap just to actually see the raids that they’ve been teasing us all with.
The class itself doesn’t take a whole lot to unlock. I have enough points on almost all my alts without even trying. Unlock the base class, equip it, and enjoy the feeling of getting stronger as you complete hero challenges.
You arent getting stronger. You’re gimping yourself way below what you could be doing with full trait lines. You’re starting off weaker. You’re making it harder on yourself so you can eventually be on par with your old spec? It just doesnt make sense.

People expected to be able to play the expac in the way they are used to playing GW2.
For some people that is advancing through the story quests.
For others it’s doing events.
Others it’s dungeons.
For me it’s WvW.I don’t see anyone asking for instant masteries, in fact most people like them (although possibly a little too much xp required)
I certainly have not seen anyone wanting instant end cut scene… that’s kittened.What people DO complain about is:
- Story is artificially slowed down behind mastery meaning people who just want story are unable to continue without doing stuff they don’t enjoy.
- Elite specs are heavily gated by masteries and group content, which means people who want to play their new classes can’t for possibly months (depending on method to aquire, number of characters and time to play each day).
- XP rate is possibly a little low, people are having to repeat events over and over to be able to progress. You shouldn’t have to “grind”.
For me, the only complaint is the Elite spec one.
As a WvW player, Builds including elite specs are kinda important. WvW is after all a competative gametype. Not being able to run druid for example is pretty major in a group composition. This is why PvP doesn’t get affected by levelling etc.
The situation I am found in is that I am probably going to be unable to kick back and have fun with my server and guild in a GvG and WvW environment for a very long time. Unless I go PvE like mad… which I have been doing and it’s pushed me almost to the verge of quitting the game, getting refund and buying FO4 instead… that can’t be an ideal opinion for ANet’s bank balance….

The game has been out for a DAY, and you don’t want it to take “as long as it takes”…. So you wanted it complete in one day? That’s pretty quick, I know what the complaints are but they all seem like they’re coming from people that want everything within a day, which is an unrealistic expectation.

The new maps are amazing and for sure will be even better after some updates, the new system actually is something for players bored like me to do. This rate “9” is for most ppls from our guild, they’re really enjoying the new content too. Idk about the fun after some weeks but i can say that i’m happy for what i paid.
I just don’t understand all the whining, why guild wars 2 players always want everything so easy and just press 1 is a mystery for me.

not instant, but certainly not as long as it takes. i dont want to do all of the content so i can have my spec i shouldve been doing the content all along with.

its not hard. youve had 3 years to get 214 hero points. you dont need much more
partially unlocking an elite spec is not the same as having the full elite spec. way to miss the point by a mile.
Anet give in. It’s better to have people play the game and have a positive experience than to never finish it with a negative experience. Please think of your players.

Just because a very few vocal minority want to get pounded to death every time they turn a corner doesn’t justify the difficulty of some of these mobs. Particularly the way they seem to dogpile on one person when facing a group. There needs to be some soloability in a game where you spend 90% of your time solo.
Actually the majority are playing the game, people complaining on forum are vocal minority.

No Grinding! Only farming for 3000 hours, whipping out your wallet, throwing money into the RNG toilet, and giving up your first born for one weapon skin or shoulder item! It’s fun right! Not having fun to look cool is so fun.

It’s so unfun. I’m having a really hard time staying logged in. Everything is either gated behind a massive gold sink, which is a huge grind ( or whip out your wallet… yeah right) or behind a massive experience grind. it’s just fake content. the illusion of content. and it’s just not fun to play. dunno why i bought it. thought it would be something else. major regret so far.
so this still isnt fixed yet. regretting my purchase.
outside of gravedigger greatsword is pretty bland and underpowered. id be fine nerfing gravedigger if it meant more interesting changed for gs. spamming 1 spell is stupid and boring regardless of the weapon. i want to use all of my abilities!
shadowpriests had dispersion and they added a .25-.5 sec wait before you could turn it off and it was only ever a good thing. any game ive ever seen with toggleable stances has this mechanic and its only a good thing. adding a delay wont break your precious gameplay, it will only help people who have the problem. its a win-win, or a win-neutral. there is no loss here. its not like adding a tiny delay will stop you from flashing or entering and leaving death shroud.
the only thing it could do is make both parties have to intentionally press the button twice to enter and leave. .5 seconds wont break anything.
I dont know about you guys, but every once in a while i’ll tap my DS button more than once and itll just bring me right back out of it instantly. super duper annoying especially with the cooldown. Please add a little delay/“GCD (just milliseconds)” before being able to leave DS when entering it. it would just be a QOL change.
inb4 people tell me to l2p and the game doesnt need QOL changes

preferably give us a full skin set replacement like newer outfits as i also hate the boots but… this would work too. give us options for our costumes! the neck cover thing doesnt really make sense and is kinda ugly without the hood up. obviously my opinion but i think the shoulders ruin a lot of the costumes.
pretty ridiculous that this isnt in the game. i will not spend my time constantly rebinding keys for other characters, therefore i wont be playing other characters, which makes the game boring for me.
I forgot my password and accidentally unchecked the save option on the launcher so I lost it. Went to go reset it and this is the error I get after putting in my cd key information and such:

Those aren’t the exact odds, but if my math is correct, 10 players running the event every day might expect one staff to drop after about 7 months. (And we haven’t been out that long.)
lol? it takes people less than half that time to make a legendary. this staff is not legendary and doesnt even have particle effects. what point is it to make it that low drop rate
Well but legendairies don’t drop out of chests, do they. Precursors do. And if they made one precursor only drop out of one single chest very rarely, then precursor droprates wouldn’t be balanced.
This is a named weapon. I’m pretty sure that the staff is lore related too. As you can see making it that rare as it is now, it made a hype around it (especially cause of the nice skin). Legendairies don’t have to be the only cool looking weapons. Though they do get their shiny effects and footprints and stuff.
So yeah, making it harder to obtain than a legendary is a good thing, and it is necessary for it to keep its mystery. It’s like a scavenger hunt.
you dont know what a scavenger hunt is. a scavenger hunt has clues, and isnt rng. you dont go to the location once you figure out where the next item is and have a .05 chance of it being there.
