I personally think it would be sad for Orr not to change a bit if ever LA will be rebuilt.

But the thing to consider is, what about others who haven’t finished their personal story? Should they see a recovering Orr even though Zhaitan is well alive on their arc?

1. Most mobo’s can handle 2 vga’s and the spacing are standard across the common brands.

2. Most fit but I will choose to have a mini-tower case, since most video cards today are long.

3. Not sure, the Zotac has a pci-e 2.0 interface, and the mobo you have has only 1 pci-e 2.0. It has 2x pci-e 3.0, but I’m not sure of backwards compatibility.

4. If you will notice, most cpu cases has 2-4 usb ports on the front now. Your mobo should have pins on where those front usb ports could connect. Please refer to mobo’s manual for this.

5. I have read somewhere that GW2 is cpu-dependent, so having an I7 may speed up the game – but don’t take my word on it since I’m also using i5.

6. Check their sockets from the spec sheet.

I find it funny how some of you think that it’s not a problem. Yes, OP can play how he wants, but that’s just avoiding the problem altogether. The zerker playstyle was never intended. It just became the preferred de-facto meta, because it’s more efficient, and it’s borderline exploiting the A.I. mechanics. Anet just gives it a pass because they refuse to update the A.I. in old dungeons.

Stacking on a boss isn’t tactical at all, and it’s outright laughable. Any other MMO, even action-combat ones, don’t even have this. They have A.I. that responds accordingly to mindless gameplay like this.

Living story bosses are even more challenging. Anet has proved this, but they just don’t want to update the old dungeons with better A.I., as was said during that video interview during feature pack 2.

Where is it written that zerker zerging is not intended? Or is it “not intended” because you don’t agree with it?

-> I chose i5 over i7 as it’s adequate enough and I admit, I don’t have much money when I bought this. lol

-> 16gb of ram is overkill. I hardly touch the 6gb mark, though I don’t multi-task on games, I only have 1 open at a time, along with browser (Opera, 10-20 tabs) and some messager (YM, Hangouts, Skype) and a music app (Spotify) – those along with other usual background process like a firewall (Zone Alarm) and antivirus (Avast) and spyware (Spybot).

-> My motherboard is not the best one out there, it can only support 4 hdds and has 2 USB 3.0 ports at the back. I can support 2 gpu’s though for SLI (Nvidia) or Crossfire (AMD).

-> My HDDs are supposed to be Western Digitals (I’m a fan, I admit, so it’s biased) but they are out of stock at the time I assembled so I settled to the 2nd best option IMO, Seagate.

-> This can run almost any games at max(I don’t have much, but this runs Advanced Warfare, Crysis 3 and Battlefield 4 on max, I’m guessing they are good benchmarks) thanks to the gpu, and can run GW2 on max settings too thanks to both cpu and gpu. Though I am having trouble keeping more than 20fps on world boss events on a peak period, I don’t think I can do much (I’ve heard of people who has i7s run on same issue, so I don’t bother to look for solutions anymore)

gw2 is just one of those games that requires a stupidly powerful cpu.

you will not get 60 fps on ultra anywhere with a sizeable number of people around with that build or any build.

I have an i5, amd r9 video card and 16gb of ram plus my gw2 is installed on SSD, and I still get 15fps on world bosses. :|

MMOs aren’t for you and no, GW1 was never an MMORPG.
PS. My intention isn’t to offend you whatsoever but most of your complaints are just ’’normal’’ things in MMOs. You will always have to grind, you will always find inconsistency. There is almost no MMO who have had a balanced class system and having issues to do events is just another given thing when the MMO is 2 years-old and people won’t bother exploring areas anylonger. Regarding the traits locks etc. As mentioend before, most people who complain about this are veteran players running alts. A new player doesn’t know enough to even understand what traits are and they are usually confused and may end up being 80 without understanding the game properly. Also, a player who can’t unlock traits, will probably not be useful to you in WvW eitherway.

While you can play the 90% game using Exotics only, I will have to agree with OP since we’re talking about progression, not playability.

It’s a bit hard to get Ascended due to prices and along with it, Legendary. Since we’re talking about progression, we should not stop at Exotics – need to aim higher, but as a casual player who is easily bored to death by Ori Node farming, Dungeon runs, Champ trains, Teq and 3h Wurm, Gold is becoming scarce atm.

It’s still boring. Same old repetitive stuff to get gold.
