On NA there were more ?

Hi. I’m from Europe, and I asked in Lion Arch if the devs visit Seafarer Rest. Someone answered and said that Arena.net rarely visits Europe servers, and stay mostly on North America servers. Now, at the launch of the new Lion Arch, I tought that I could guest one of my characters on NA servers to join the events in there, but it seems that you can’t. Is it possible to transfer a single character from EU to NA and play with the rest of my characters on EU ?

Hi. I guess you have seen the White and Gold/Blue and Black dress debate. I tought it could be cool to dye your GW2 armors in such a way so you would create similar optical illusions. Could there be dyes combinations that create such illusions. If yes, which dyes could you suggest. I would really like to have them on my Mesmer…

PS. In my case, I saw the dress white and gold but if I almost close my eyes, I see it black and blue.

Hi. I am looking for a Wordpress theme, highly customizable, that could resemble the Guild Wars 2 website ( white and red) . What could you suggest me ?

I would like the API to provide location coordonates of players. If I would be able to see my guildmates location on Tyria map in a web app, there would be more collaboration.

Also, another suggestion for the API is 3D asset streaming. Currently, only 2D assets could be displayed, such as items. What I suggest here is 3D asset streaming.

What I suggest is something like this: Let’s say we have a 3D model of a lion statue from the submerged Lion Arch. That statue is isolated, and more photos are taken around it, at different angles and zoom levels. The photos are stored on the server, associated with the respective asset. API users could request various photos. On the app side, the images are combined in spherical shapes ( think of Google Street View), with different sizes, based on zoom. So, that asset could be viewed in 3D inside the app.
I would suggest png format streaming, because it supports transparency. This could also be done for animations and particle effects.

I have a question. Could the Revenant head band be hidden, as with helmet ?

What about fan videogames ? After their CToU, are these legal ?

I want to create a website for my guild and I need some advices. We have an Enjin forum page, but it is pretty limited so I want to create a new one enhanced by tooltips.

1. What hosting solutions would be the best. I think I could get a .tk dommain for free.
2. What forum software should I choose ? phpBB or myBB ? (refering to tolltips compatibility)
3. Now related to tooltips
I have heard that guildhead.com tooltips would be good, hovering the cursor over an item showing its details. However, the website redirects to the Wiki so I cannot download.
Also, I have found another cool plugin

Hi. I have found an add-on for phpBB that shows descriptions of various items, and I tought that support for Guild Wars 2 could be added by implementing Guild Wars 2 API.

Hi. On Google Play, there is a lack of good MMOs. What if Arena.Net ports Guild Wars 1 to Android ? They could make something like this : free game on Google Play, with the progress blocked at Pre-searing. After that, they buy a Guild Wars account and they could play further. It would be really nice, and also would revive the Guild Wars community. What do you think ? Nowdays, a lot of classic games are ported. Why Guild Wars 1 can’t ?

Hi. Let’s post here funny glitches we find inside the game. Here, my character lost her head while falling.

Selling takes a lot of time. Right clicking every item in your inventory, openning the TP dialog box everytime is booring. I suggest some auto features :
Autosell All on TP (except items in locked bags)
Autodelete all junk
At a seller, autosell all bound objects

It happens may times that my inventory gets filled and I spend a lot of time selling items, instead of enjoying the game content…

Hi. Guild Wars 1 came with lore books. Wish the same with this expansion. Yeah, I know there is the wiki with a lot of info, but a few books with stories in the expansionism case would still be nice. I recently oppened the case of Guild Wars 1 and the smell of paper made me a Little nostalgic…

Will there be both Maguuma Wastes and Maguuma Falls included in expansion ? Will it reach Janthir Bay ?

Not really dead. I’ve got another idea. If yo want to trade something in GW2 to a certain player, you can’t. Here is another idea:
1. You send to a player a special mail, in which you attach your item you want to sell. The player can get the attachment, but only if he pays a sum determined by the seller. The transaction could also have a TP fee.

Some might want to sell items just for guildies. If they put them on TP, other players outside the guild might grab them first.

In other MMOs, trading is done like that : A box, with two compartiments. A player puts items in a compartiment, the other in the other compartiment. If they both click accept, the transaction is done. What impact could such a system have on the game economy ? Is it good or bad ?

Hi. I play an berserker elementalist with exalted armor and scolar runes(I think) . I play with dual dagger. The problem is that my ele deals a little damage, and dies a lot. Playing ls becomes really hard. I couldn’t beat the final boss in the last episode with the cave. What are your tips to play better ? The ele seems to me the most nerfed class…still I want to play it properly…

So…if I run GW.exe, the client will instal Visual Studio and DirectX automaticly and other dependencies ?

I updated my OS to Windows 7 32 bits. If I copy the files I showed to the Windows 7 Partition, will Guild Wars 2 work or there are different clients in Windows 7 and XP ?

I will never use third party apps no matter what. As thread title states, I wish Arena.Net to add more official in-game graphic settings, some which could resemble to what I saw in that video.

Could Arena.Net implement official optional graphic settings that give a similar result ? It would be great.

Hi. I have seen in some videos devs disabling some skill features. Basically, all the skills were casted instantly and there was no waiting for them to charge. What if the devs allow custom arenas where we could play with balance, and set some rules for each proffesion ? It would be nice to experiment. Some matches could turn Guild Wars 2 in some sort of speedy hack n slash…

If I don’t save hardware related settings would it work ?

I think these are OS problems. Hopefully, I have some backuped disk images of my hard-drive, with my system in an older state. The problem is that at the time I made the backups, I haven’t had gw2 installed.

My hard drive is splitter in various partitions. G is the biggest one and D is where I have Windows XP and Guild Wars 2 installed. I want to copy Guild Wars 2 to G, then recover D and paste back GW2. Installing Guild Wars 2 takes up an entire day. What is the best method to backup Guild Wars 2 ? What should I copy ?

Hi. In the past, Arena.Net showed us some videos about how they handled various stuff. It would be really nice to see some work behind the scenes related to this expansion. Such as – what level design decisions did they make in various situations, how do they modelled a certain asset, how do they created terrain, what tools do they use and stuff like this. It would be really interesting to see production concept sketches related to this expansion, more exactly, the evolution of art assets from concept sketches. So far, regarding internal work, Arena.Net showed us just a little. Wish to see more from them.

I suggest them to make a few developer diary videos. While they are still working on the expansion, they record workflows from various devs across the studio, then merge all the videos together in several episodes. It would be really cool and entertaining.

Guild Wars 2 Heroic Edition costs, on the website, without price cuts, 40 euros. How much would you pay for this expansion ?

Hi. I have a new problem. Today, when I start Guild Wars 2, the screen goes almost completely black, after that only the start bar is seen. My PC is not freezed . Oppening Task Manager, the CPU seems to be used at 50% . I have tried repairing the client but didn’t help. I ran Game Advisor and updated the outputed file in attachments.

There won’t happen anything to PC, because of contact with Eternal Alchemy .

I have some questions. Why Community Creations sub-forum has the lowest traffic ? Secondly, what would you like to see in there ?

Most maps in gw2 are plain. In Dry top, you could go upper and lower. Hope the next maps will be bigger.

Hi. Silverwastes or Dry Top are about 1/4 of an averange Guild Wars 2 map. Will the new maps have the size of a normal map ? Usually, when LS is put on pause we get a new map.

Hi. I have noticed this bug firstly in Tangled Paths story, and remained unfixed in Seeds of Truth. I play with a human elementalist, with light armor- Exalted set, skinned with apprentice dress, feathered chest and the rest of pieces unskinned. In the story instance, my character dies a lot of times, so eventually all the armor gets fully broken and disappears. When I get out of the instance, my character gets dressed back, altough her armor is completely destroyed. If I try to swap a piece of armor with a fully repaired one in the inventory, the armor display won’t refresh, remaining visually the same. If I unequip a broken piece of armor- the same thing- it looks like that piece of armor is equipped.

Next year, on 26 april, Guild Wars 1 will reach its first decade…10 years in which we had pretty much fun. Because Guild Wars 1 had an important role for Arena.Net, as well as for the Guild Wars 2 Lore, it would be nice to have some aniversary content for it. Some bonus missions would be really nice. It has passed 10 years, 10 years in which Arena.Net has provided high quality entertainment for the masses. It’s a good thing for a company to survive 10 years in an industry where most of the game studios did not last even 3. This prooves again the high quality of their games and their high support for the gaming comunity. Thanks Anens.Net for all fun we had so far and altough we are 5 months before aniversary, Happy Birthday.

Before the last Living Story update, on the northern part of the map it appeared to be a big lake. What happened with it? Seems that the low detail map was not respected.

Nice. I have a few requests…for the new forum software.
1. Rating System – rate helpful posts, their creators obtaining some sort of ranks depending how much they helped. This system has been used successfully on ,,answers" type websites.
2. Sketchfab support – it would be really cool if forum members/Anet staff could show off/embeed interactive 3D models dirrectly on forums. They could also be annotated in a cool fashion, providing more information.
3. Working search system

Well…in this case the gods might be nothing more than powerful elementalists/mages, that got so powerful that became apparently immortal. On their planet, they took with them several humans, traveled the galaxy then colonized Tyria planet. They also have masters more powerful than them.

Regarding gods…they just created human race. Other creatures existed before, as well as a fauna and flora. I could conclude that gods are similar to dragons. They absorb magic, but don’t release IT. They want instead to worshiped.

Regarding your question, it’s obvious that the egg came first. Chicken evolved from dinosaurs, which lay eggs. We call chickens the creatures that have genes that determine recognisable characteristics, such as beak, feathers and claws. The first chicken egg was the egg that contained a creature that if seen by man would be called chicken. It doesn’t need to have 100% the genes of today’s chicken, but if a human could recognize that creature as a chicken then yeah… it got out from the first chicken egg, laid by a creature that the human couldn’t name chicken. ( Mabie dino-chicken )

Back on topic… As the example with dino-chicken, Dragons should have ancestors. Mabie they were initially organic, like humans, but in time they evolved to become what they are now. (Energetic beings )
