I made the same mistake.
There could have been a warning.
I thought the bundle was part of the regular character gift and chose the Asura backpack on my Asura, since it was the first character with which I went online.
But if I had known that I could only choose one backpack per account, then I would have clearly chosen the Norn backpack.
I don’t even like the asuran backpack, I only chose it first because I thought that every 4 year character had a pick.
It’s the same for me. Sometimes I’m stuck right at the login screen. Sometimes I can select a character and it drops the connection after the loading screen.
All of my living story achievements are set back to 0. Some of them are even locked, depending on the specific achievement.
I had 100% of those achievements. Additionally to the story achievements, achievements like the story-related achievements under General/Explorer are also set to 0. Additionally achievements like the Luminescent Collections are set to 0 and collections like the Christmas collections and related collection are set to 0. The Troll’s Revenge Jumping Puzzle Achievement is also set to 0.
I had finished all of those achievements.
All the living stories are locked and I would have to unlock them for gems…
I had every single one unlocked before the update.
My hero points are gone and my skills are set to 0.
My mail carriers are locked and some of my finisher are locked.
There might be additional things missing or wrong, which I did not spot yet.

Also the Troll’s Revenge jumping puzzle achievement.

They reduced the number of targets from 10 to 5 for wahorn charge skill.
The quick breathing trait no longer converts boons to conditions on warhorn use. It only removed conditions.
So what they wrote in their writeup is an error?
- Quick Breathing: Reduces recharge of warhorn skills by 20% and causes warhorn skills to convert 1 condition on affected allies to a boon.
Where did you obtain your information?
The reduced number of targets is another strike against the warhorn. They seem to want to make it useless.
Where did they state that the warhorn would be nerfed?
The only text that I found regarding the warhorn was the wall of trait-changes which they posted a few days ago and in there the warhorn text was still as it currently is in game. (one condition into a boon)
It already hurt when they nerfed the horn a few months ago and I’d dislike if they did it again.
I heavily dislike that they nerf “Empower Allies”. A radius of 300 will just hurt small roaming groups (which tend to be spread out while fighting) and further boost the current melee zergs in WvW.
I wonder who is designing those changes… they always seem to hurt the alternative Warrior builds heavily, even if it might not be the main intention. But if they want to make those boring Shoutbow builds weaker, they should just nerf the bow and not attack those traits listed above, which can be used in many ways.
I am missing the option to be able to remap the action which currently lies behind the Escape key.
It would be nice if we were enabled to map the “abort action” or “abort skill” action to another key through the control options.
The Esc-Key is sometimes rather inconvenient to reach (depending on the keyboard and individual control settings). It would be nice to see this in the game eventually.
Obviously ANet should do something against all those 4vs5 matches.
Something effective. The current penalty does not seem to be all too effective.
But it is not impossible to win, if the team does not give up and everyone does their part.
We were able to bind three of the enemies at their close point for a rather long time in this match and managed to win the 4vs5.
I’m experiencing a similar bug and so are the people in this thread.
My finisher does not remain selected and when I finish someone, it always reverts back to the standard finisher.
It worked fine before one of the recent patches.
I can not get a free golem either.
I own the Digital Deluxe Edition. Apart from the golem which comes with my game, I never bought a golem or got one for free.
I am also having the same problem with the mini pets and the finishers.
The finishers are set back to the base finisher and the pet just is set back to none.
It always seems to happend after relogging and it sometimes seems to happend randomly (e.g. on map change).
I did not have this problem before one of the recent patches.
It has been fixed yesterday, long before you posted this.
You could just have checked it again.
And since it has been fixed, we will have to assume, that it was not intentional.
There is no “guild castle” in Guildwars 2.
There also isn’t a guild hall or anything alike.
Just to offer a different perspective: I did not fight the inquest at the consoles. I fought them where you would normally fight them. (below the first console and next to the steam minotaur)
It worked fine for me. I got the achievement without any problems.
After some recent incidents of this kind I have to agree. I always thought that one could not misclick and hit that entry, and while I never did misclick, it happened to some guildmembers on more than one occasion.
I can confirm this bug in a slightly different way. In contrast to Stiofan.6720, I keep my rows at a width of 20, but when I log in, my rows are at a width of 19 again.
It used to work at a point and now it does not work anymore, although I am not sure whether it was changed by this update or had already changed before.
My group also could not continue after killing the boss in the weapon testroom.
Some of us were fighting the boss up close and approached the chest right after the boss had died. We could open the chest, got teleported back to the entrance of the testroom and the window for going to the next fractal never appeared.
I finished the story and two fractal runs. It did not count for the daily fractal.
I got 25 bags and no Mask. I started asking around a bit, suspecting that it might be connected to last years event. (most likely in the form of a bug)
In my instance of Lions Arch, none of the people that got a Mask and told me so, got last years hat.
I don’t want to spoiler anything, so I try to stay obscure. But your reward was the content of the clip, you should have listened and watched. You can talk to Moto afterwards, if you want, but he does not say anything interesting regarding the matter.
You should have gotten an achievement after the cutscene.
Yesterday I created a map of the teleporters in World 2, Zone 2 of the Super Adventure Box. The ones that come shortly before the boss.
Since I already put in the work, I thought that I could just share it.
Parentheses denote entry portals and the number denotes their destination.
Curly brackets denote arrival portals and the numbers denote their source.
Square brackets contain the designator of the location.
The viewpoint should be obvious. Looking from the start platform straight ahead.
Sadly there was no secret to be found there.
The “Icy End” is your preferable end platform, since it circumvents all the jumping work that you encounter at the “Trampoline End”.
Everything else is basically written down as part of the map.
st, tr and ic respectively stand for “Start”, “Trampoline End” and “Icy End”.
The pre-tag does not make use of monospace fonts, so I attached the map as a txt-file.

I was surprised to hear the proper sound, when I fired my rifle after the patch. I did not expect the sound an animation to come for at least another week.

I don’t start crying that it takes ages to level up in SPvP or that it takes ages to get a Legendary weapon, or in my particular case even a decent amount of gold.
You just got to act like adults and finally accept, that there are things that you won’t get right now or even ever.
I’m heavily opposed to Arenanet changing this achievement. It’s an ACHIEVEMENT.
If you change it to 1 Dolyak you could also give them an achievement of being able to breathe.
It shouldn’t be asked too much of someone, to coordinate their action with random other people, once or twice a year, to achieve a common goal.
I talked to Tixx in Lions Arch first. There I received everything without a problem.
Then after finishing the Toypocalypse and logging out for a few minutes, I tried to also get my SPvP presents, but I did not receive anything at all from talking to Tixx and also can’t interact with the chest in the Mists.
Yeah you can only upgrade 3 times which also repairs the object. After that you have to wait for it to be destroyed.
This description clearly says, that after the things are fully upgraded, using scrap on them will repair them.
I guess it is bugged.

1. Make sure everyone is building walls/balista and upgrading/repairing when needed.
I successfully made it through and got the achievements.
But concerning your first point: Repairing did not work at all for me.
I tried snow and also scrap on both, snow and scrap structures, but none worked for repairing.
I also found it rather bad that the structures disappeared after a certain time and did not stay until they were destroyed by damage.
Your second and third point are solid advice, obviously. But anyone not getting those ideas himself is probably not the brightest star in the sky.
I did it on my first try. It’s not hard at all. You just need snow walls.

The Toy Soldier is my favorite.

Then the Griffin and eventually the Golem.
It would be awesome if they gave the Pop Gun the sound and animation of the Pop Gun that the Toy Soldiers are already using.
They don’t even have to create them, they already exist. They just have to give them to the players.
I hope that they still implement the Popgun sound and animation, that they are already using on the Toy Soldiers, for the players.
That would be really nice.

Aye, it is definitely happening. Since it does not stick around and is only there for the fraction of a second (at least on my screen), I don’t really care too much about it.
Mixed armor.
Priory armor with a Reinforced Scale helm, since that one is my clear favorite.
Now also comes with a nice toy sword.
I wish they had added a trumpet skin for the horn. I don’t know how they could possible miss that idea. It would have been pretty nice and would have went really well with the whole toys and rats Nutcracker-Christmas scenario.
If they would have added said trumped skin plus a proper animation and sound (read: Tchaikovskys Nutcracker main sequence), then it would have been extremely nice.
Maybe next year.

It would definitely be nice to see a Wintersday-themed scavenger hunt next year on Wintersday.
I doubt that there will be one coming this year, but I’m content with all the activities that I have during this nice Wintersday.
I also have to say that the developers did a great job.
They improved a lot. (e.g. how the jumping puzzle worked, compared to Halloween and also less “grinding”.)
The whole Wintersday was very enjoyable for me so far and did not feel like a grind at all. It did not feel the slightest bit unpleasant and I managed to complete all achievements that are doable right now with relative ease.
On Halloween, some of the achievements were a pain. E.g. the pumpkin carving. It really felt like a huge grind.
I found the jumping puzzle to be rather easy, and very enjoyable. It was orders of magnitude easier than the Halloween puzzle for me.
It took me about 20 minutes to get it done. Once I figured out the proper way to get past the sugar canes, it was a piece of cake.
I appreciate it, that the developers listened to the complaints with the Halloween puzzle, and implemented distributed spawns this time, so that screen was not crowded. Also the platforms were HUGE, which also made it way easier to get through the puzzle, even with other people on the screen.
It did not take me long to get the achievements and I did not have to act against my team in any way either.
Having to drop an enemy just comes along naturally during gameplay. For me it usually even came twice in a row. So when I got the chance to drop an enemy, I usually was able to drop them twice.
The achievements you suggested might be nice additions, but I would not want to miss the current ones. Why is there always someone complaining about an achievement?
There are people complaining about the snowball fight although it is easy and fun.
There are people complaining about the bell challenge, although it is something new, fun and not too hard either. Obviously you won’t quite make it if you try clicking the buttons with your mouse.
And then there are people complaining about the jumping puzzle, which is way easier than the Halloween jumping puzzle, and still a lot of fun. It took me like 20 minutes to get it done. Once I managed to get properly past the sugar canes, it was a piece of cake.
