Tbh turrets and plenty of other professions “pet skills” need more than just random buffs. I would suggest to give them all an individual slot for a pvp amulet. So you could equip a rifle turret with a zerker amulet, a healing turret with a magi one etc. This would surely help Elementals and Spirit Weapons aswell …
Next thing we’ll hear is let others equip admin commands to kill the enemy on sight.

This world is rotten.
All they need to do is implement more stupid kitten for LA afk guys to farm in WvW. When they’ll find out they can only farm WvW exclusive legendaries by cooperating with WvW guilds then they’ll probably be more interested in playing the mode. It is pretty simple, not transfers no linkin nothing like that will fix your problem. Economy is alawys at fault.
Maybe if legendaries were exclusive to WvW players since the release date of the game it wouldn’t be like that today. :v
They made the same mistake a few times in a row now without learning.
PvP team and Balance team should not be separate. Every pass ends up doubling down every nerf and buff.
Don’t mean to sound like a fanboi but gw2 is still the better mmo pvp game to date. If it’s because of their system in place then I can’t argue with it.
Other than Ele, I can’t imagine any class struggling in pvp this meta.

Did you guys at least implement a method to prevent the MMR-tanking strategies many players used to get to legendary in S1?
To be entirely fair this is a problem in every game with leagues and ranks and matchmaking.
I think the only way to actually try to prevent this is to remove any and all player-access to rank information until after the season has ended. No pips, no icons, no leagues, no nothing. You just “play”. At the very end you get told how you did.
That’s so evil I acatually like it. It would bring so much more kitten people into the forum that it really is worth it! I would give up many things just to see this one.
I also wonder what PRESTIGE are all these people in here talking about? Could someone elaborate how is it PRESTIGE to get into a division that cannot even be lost???

I don’t want any resign/surrender command in pvp unless you’re a full premade (as in 5v5). I don’t want people I don’t know to decide when to stop the game for me. I hate democracy and I don’t want to see that in PvP, also I’d like the voting system on the map to be removed, matchmaking is not tournament.
To be honest I don’t understand how is that different to normal damage. You either counter taking damage or you take damage, don’t let them apply condis :v
That was one of the earlier iterations of the secondary for RotC. We felt like teams that went for the bell early could get “robbed” of their hard work by not getting the third or fourth bell capture. We wanted the secondary to be about the more your team commits to the bell the more your team gets out of it.

Lol you guys made him put a logo of his guild on the skill bar so now you don’t see the skills he’s clicking (not that he can alternate the skills cause he’s using revenant) and you can’t see he is a clicker either, ’cause cursor was hidden.
Why not make everything do same dmg like footmen and grunts in warcraft 2. Perfect balance, vvery much esport and much fun. /s

as the topic states the map finishes loading but to actually get into the game I need to click the ctrl + alt + delete and click abort or any of the other options so the game minimizes and “procedes” with the normal work flow.
I’ve made a screenshot with -mapLoadInfo, seen below in the attachement.
I only managed to make the screen shot during windowed fullscreen – black screen in print screen (w/o 3rd party program when fullscreened).
The rig is:
Dell Inspiron 5548, with i7-5500U, 8 GB RAM, R7 M270 Radeon, Windows 10 Pro (full edition, not the N one).
Any idea what it might be? Tried both 32 bit and 64 bit version. The game works normally after you minimize it and resize it back again.
The problem occurs only when the game is full-screen’d in windowed fullscreen it works flawlessly – is this a driver issue?
Need to be 13 or older, because that’s the code of conduct to use the forums and to stream video into twitch or hitbox (or any other website unless it’s illegal).

If they bring really important changes to their server architecture, make the game more optimised and use an opensource API for that (even tho that’s not goin to fix all of the problems) then I’d pay anything

to start off I’d like to say I greatly appreciate the work you guys in ArenaNet put into our beloved game.
The business model is great for a western mmo, the combat mechanics is great. I don’t want to touch on the balance and skill decisions cause I hate them – pvp became quite “flashy” instead of being thoughtful but that’s just me and that’s not the topic about that.
The support is great, the organisation of “e-sport” events and so on. Living story, bringing anual fesitvals, achievement system and so on – I loove alll of it.
But we have to face a big problem.
I guess bringing a new renderer to modify the engine takes a lot of work and money and time.
I know the problem of low FPS in world vs world or overpopulated maps is not the issue of renderer only but also the problem for servers to handle and to count that many actions with this beautiful combat system.
Thing is server can be upgraded with new products from intel amd and nvidia that count thingies – I’m not an expert at this even tho I study electronics – this kitten is quite complicated to write about in some general discussion topic.
But even with that the CPUs that are designed for us players that are available at the market will probably not give us 60 or even stable 30 FPS in some instances like WVW.
Simply said gamers consume too much energy so the clocks will not be rised above 4/5 GHz (and that’s already too high probably), even with the upgrades to architecture of the CPUs we are not going to see much more improvements – that’s because of the limitations of our beloved x86-32/64 .
Intel, Samsung and other leaders in foundry industry are nearing the wall that’s not gonna be easily crossed in terms of the ’’process’’ – assuming we’ll stay within the current architecture.
Metalisation processes are far behind for sure – but one could talk about it all day long.
Anywho, there are many challenges that need to be beaten.
Still having in mind that the game is a business – being the passion of developers and the players is one thing but the company needs to bring profit.
From what I understand you guys want the game to be a really long term investment, to bring joy and to share passion with us, for that to work decisions will need to be made – I know you are already working on that we could see many improvements in HOT, but these were “high abstraction layer” changes and what the game needs – maybe not as a first priority is some low abstraction, mechanical, maybe “metal”, touch.
I don’t really know if what I’ve written made any sense and I guess there’s someone among the developers that’s having wet dreams about new API usage, still I just needed to share this scribble of mine.
TL;DR – even tho it is one of the lowest priorities in running and maintaining the game, GW2 needs some engine/renderer modifications – this is not going to fix all of the problems but it will be a big quality of code change
I too was suffering from lag but I just found out over 3 different people had hacked my account. Yay. They are still doing it. I have an AMD.
What does that have to do with anything.?

Hello,
after the patch that hit us at 22nd of March, my friend is having a lot of issues with connection and with graphical bugs.
She’s using Windows 10, and a notebook:
Intel Core i7-4510U
Chipset Intel Lynx Point
16 GB (SO-DIMM DDR3, 1600 MHz)
256GB SSD
Intel HD Graphics 4400/AMD Radeon R7 M265 (2048 MB GDDR3 + shared from RAM if needed)
And so on.
There has been no update of drivers for the GPU.
The game is loading slow, there has been FPS drops spotted all over the place (we changed back the graphical settings), and some graphic artifacts that you see on the screenshot attached.
PS. The maps are not loading unless she minimises the game and opens the task manager in windows, then they start loading. Didn’t happen before.

There are three avenues I see that can be taken:
I have a fourth avenue for you.
New players start with an MMR very close to the average of the player base
Don’t let new players start so close to the average of the player base.
Please tell me where should the new players start. You want to put them with people who are just not as serious (much less than 50% winrate) about pvp as those who maintain 50% winrate (or more 60-70% for really good players and some kittenes with 90% Kappa).
New accounts need to start with the average rating, period.
If you put them with as you’d call them “baddies” they are going to be discouraged or will grow bored of free wins. It would be even worse than it is now.

This game deserves a new renderer. This must be prioritised. Either this or this game will not be good for much longer. It disgusts me how this game works sometimes even tho I love the fighting mechanic and the story isn’t all that bad either.
Please put effort into a new renderer if you don’t do that already behind the scenes.
And use vulkan for that please. The documentation was released.
I’ve wondered instead of merge – rotating teams of servers each week. S1 + s24 vs s2 + s23 vs s3 + s22 etc….
You get variety based on pairings (not always s1 + s24).
You don’t lose your server identity if that is important to you.
You don’t lose your server ts or website.
You continue to play wth who you are used to – just extra peeps.
Mate we got 18 servers in EU…
Also.. I got 3-10 people in zergs when I command in Black Tide (EU) this is gross and really annoying. I really like the server’s name.
And to be honest we don’t need to merge the servers. We need season to bring the filthy casuals to play the mode. There is no reason to play wvw unless you’re a big fan of the mode. Most of the pve grinders out there don’tfind it fun because you don’t gain anything by playing it.
I know what I am saying is bad for T1 and other higher servers.. but Black Tide used to have server population on high/very high before the new way of counting the numbers by wvw activity. All of the players on the server are just afking somewhere waiting for their raid of champ chain or whatever these hobos are doing.
Either merge the server, that’ll make me cry inside or make some changes that will make the sheeps take interest in wvw.

The idea of making them not account-bound but free to trade them is the best thing I’ve read on this forums in a while.
I really hope this gets some attention.
I am sorry I had this “pro guy” in my guild that decided to leave our “pve scrubs guild” after hearing that I was planning to make a pvp team with a bunch of newbies just for fun.
He said “he won’t be in the same guild where there is a team like that” – he was so pro, top 200. Later on that night he queued in “solo” queue against my girlfriend and got beaten… mind you she’s only playing the game for 5 months or so and before that she never had any action game experience – the only game she’s ever played is dofus. Her mouse skill is terrible, she really lacks control, but it really is fun to play with her. On the other hand the “pro guy” sucked balls, was full of himself and judging others, while having no “skill-right” to do so.
If you’re like him then.. oh well

i don’t understand WHY there is such uproar about maize balms. They are a legitimate item, being used in a legitimate way, with the devs blessing and support, to the benefit of all involved parties.

The popup when you find a match blocks mouse interaction with the game, even when you click ‘accept’ yoo are not able to use it on any other window – like bag for example.
Some of the windows got work arounds, you can turn them on with hotkey and they become active, but mostof the time thoose windows dont have any hotkeys….
Please fix that oor do somethnig with this in the future, cause I am indeed loinsg my mind

Anyway it seems it is there, it is just bugged. The leather belt/strap on the sylvari female glorious armor (next to the neck) seems to be displayed wrongly only on the “right side” of the character… or your left side if you loook at the screenshot at the wiki.
It just seems like that bugged half is turned upside down or something

When you find the 3 power cores, you’re going into the airship. Now the fun part begins when you reach the Orrian Giants that throw mud at the ship (you gotta reflect it to kill them). Thing is you CANNOT use the AIRSHIP CANNONS.
I used capslock to underline the ISSUE.

I love my new mechanics on flesh wurm, when it is actually useful?
Please, don’t try to “fix” it now, it’s soo good, portals are finally working the way they should be.
Before when you had to know exact one point in the map to be able to blink up was soo frustrating and not needed – it made the game stupid and made me drop any idea to try to blink in certain locations, especially during spvp matches – just tooo much hassle to risk something that will waste your cooldown and then have one skill less to use.
God, was it frustrating with flesh wurm, you prepare it as your escape way if things go bad, and what? boom didn’t work, sorry bro….
There kinda is something like “join a squad” button.
So you see only one commander on the minimap.
Tell “Randoms” to join the “main commander” squad and they won’t see your icon.
Same for your guildies if they join your squad they won’t see the pub commander.
Well my server is just dead wvw-wise.

Every single guild that tried to join and do something resigned because of lack of other people.
Since that is a video game people don’t feel any “attatchment” to their server.
When they can’t succeed in one place, they just switch it.
Actually all of the low tiered servers are kind of dead in WVW.
The match up on my server is one sided.
I’ve spent all of my last night commanding and actually taking back one map with a group of (sic!) 20 people…. but Mind you it’s 20 people for all the maps (eb, 3x borders) while the opossing server had people playing all day and all night… That’s just depressing and makes me want to leave the server as well….

What do you think we lack as a class now to do well in pve dungeons or fractals?
I feel with the way that the fights are made we are just useless…. I’ve experimented with many builds, wells for healing, minion master (berserker or cleric), full condi (s/d & staff with corruptions) or even dagger/focus & warhorn (ew. axe) zerker…
The only thing we’re good at is controlling our own conditions and surviging on our own + we deal some nice “base” dps with daggers.
We don’t provide any skipping mechanics, we can heal with wells or minions (with minions being the better option stat-wise, but they are terrible for skipping – most of the cases today :/ ).
We don’t have any reflects – which is again a problem with the way the fights are made.
We don’t have much vigor access either, why?
Well I know “anet” wants an attrition class or whatever… but hey you’re not supposed to “outstand” a boss, which is not the case anyway. I mean … thoughts?
(We face similar problems in pvp it seems, but I actually enjoy my necro at my casual 30-ish spvp rank).
Thoughts?
