I dont understand how these supposed next gen games cant make a decent LFG tool.
Hell EQOA for PS2 had a better LFG tool. Why is this so hard for mmos to get right?
You dont need a dungeon finder tool, just an interface that lists your profession, what you are looking to run and/or what your group is looking for/is currently composed of. Maybe a comment section that people can read and whisper you if needed.
LFG or LFM – Level – Profession icons of whats in group already + whats needed – what you are trying to do – comments

Lol anet stated many times that this was going to be a pretty casual game
and IF u were aiming for hardcore stuff, there was legendariesthis game is different from any other game, this game is aimed more towards social participation and friendshipness, removing any sign of direct competition, ie: rankings, that creates tension between players!
this is more like a game to relax and do whatever, whenever!!
Ironically, the way the game is designed it requires hardly any social participation at all.
Makes the game not very fun.
I have seen this as well. I have a friend that came over from wow recently. He didn’t know that he could switch weapons in combat until I told him around his 33rd level. That’s a fairly important game mechanic, and it’s contrary to most other MMOs. There may be a little tip at level 7, I don’t remember, but the little tip pop-ups don’t convey the importance of “you can now use 2 sets of weapons.” If I wasn’t such a forum dweller, I probably would have been in the same place when I started.
Yea other things that arent explained are how the bank works, using different weapons to unlock the abilities of that weapon, karma vendors, skill combos, trait manuals, boons/conditions the list goes on.
Like I said, if you’ve played other MMOs before this seems like a no brainer, but after actually having to explain a bunch of this stuff to a total noobie, in hind site it needs a much better noob friendly tutorial.
As far as MMOs go this game has a much steeper learning curve than most. For an MMO veteran it seems extremely easy to learn, almost too easy.
But I recently had a friend start playing that has never played MMOs before and just leveling with him and having to explain things to him made me realize this game is a lot more complicated than most MMOs to just pick up and play for a newbie MMO player. It lacks a ton of explanation on how the game mechanics work even simple things like how chat works.
Its actually complicated enough to where the game actually isnt fun unless you have someone telling how the game actually works which means its not really newbie friendly at all.
I agree with the OP GW2’s biggest flaw is the pve boss mechanics. They have artificial difficulty and artificial immunities and the fights basically are all just stand at range and dodge or get one shotted. For all the great things they did with the game this is definitely its weakness.
The dungeons in this game arent fun at all and for all the things that they could do with the combo mechanics to make them interesting they went the lazy route and basically caused most of these mechanics to just be useless which hurts a lot of professions when trying to find groups.
The thing they screwed up the most on was introducing fractals the way they did. It made Orr a ghost town and basically gimped people that didnt rush to 80 at launch, since they basically penalized people that werent yet 80 after the fact with DR, stealth nerfs on drop rates etc.
I know they said they are changing the system and adding other ways to get fractals etc., but overall I agree with most of the sentiments here. I also dont really feel I should be required to use third party sites to play a game. Yes it helps but if that many people are using it its an obvious serious flaw in their design.
Not really. GW2 combat isnt really that great. The combo system is kinda cool but the pve creature mechanics are pretty lame. Dodge or get one-shotted isnt really a very fun mechanic IMHO.
GW2 isnt a ‘true action combat’ game that would be TERA. GW2 is your basic MMO mechanics with dodging added in. FYI I do think TERA’s combat system is better than GW2’s, but the rest of the game is really bad. If you could combine TERA’s combat with GW2’s world and quest system you would have a much better game.
Also, you must be new to MMOs the camera in this game pretty much operates just like the cameras in pretty much every other mmo.
Comparing it to SMITE isnt really that great of a comparison its a totally different type of game. SMITE is a MOBA and has an extremely basic combat system.
The core mechanics of this game are pretty much set its not going to change. My suggestion would be to try TERA since its going Free 2 play soon you probably might like that more.

Looks like they handle this the same way they moderate the forums. Heavy-handed and unless the situation turns out to be praising the game they just delete it.
They ban people loyal to the game even though an exploit is technically their own fault (yes some ppl exploit but some ppl could actually think its game mechanics its only an exploit when they officially acknowledge it and the pattern is ANet doesnt seem to acknowledge anything that makes them look bad) but meanwhile my inbox is full of gold spam messages that they cant seem to stop. Make a post thats not gushing praise on the game and you get an infraction.
And if you are going to infract this post please give me my money back too.
I agree with the OP. Also, transferring servers doesnt help. If you play on any of the original high pop servers all the people that rushed to cap at launch are already on the fractal treadmill and dont goto Orr at all.
Combine this with the fact that newer 80s have a much more difficult time doing things since drop rates have been nerfed, DR returns added, and prices for items have gone up and GW2 has a lot of issues.
The game is fun and looks good, but things like one hit mechanics are just lazy/poor design. Either that or its done intentionally (which is what I think) to force people to spend real money in the cash shop.
I had pretty much stopped playing the game because of what the OP is talking about, but recently returned due to a friend wanting to play the game. My friend is new to MMOs and explaining these terrible mechanics to him makes him want to go play TERA.
Just playing this game for a year and not quitting should be an achievement.
Hey how about dedicating some time to stopping these gold spammers from flooding my inbox with gold selling ads?
Thanks
I also hate the trading post because the search filter SUCKS.
Why not add a ‘usable item’ filter? Or a specific type of armor filter (i.e. light, medium, heavy)?
Bringing out FoTM ruined Orr. It split the population. The people that rushed to cap went to fractals and stopped going to Orr, the people that were just reaching Orr when FoTM dropped dont have the groups of players to farm Orr with. Ya it does suck.
D/D is far from god mode. I’d like to see you post some of the other viable specs besides 30 arcane/30 water as well.
Its cool for sPvP but people that actually know the classes’ mechanics can shut down D/D with immobilization. If you are bunker build you arent really doing tons of burst, a good warrior can time your attunement swaps and out damage you with a weapon swap to rifle. A good thief can still almost insta gib you opening the fight. A good necro can pretty much destroy you removing your boons and immobilizing you.
So ya you can run away better than most classes with mist and RTL (which is also still buggy) but I wouldnt call D/D god mode. Its very movement dependent and can be locked down with immobilization.
i dont really know if its an issue of making it easier to obtain i think its an issue of having more ways than one to obtain. Some people dont really want to do the pve or pvp.
Zerg v Zerg is boring.
MMORPGs on consoles arent an impossibility. FFXI, EQOA and DC Universe Online were all on consoles I played all three. EQOA actually had some of the best world events I’ve actually seen in any mmo.
The big issue like you said is how consoles update data. Sony/MS have to approve all the patches etc before they go live and they take forever to approve stuff. Games on PC can just be hotfixed on the fly.
Console gaming has nothing to do with why people are mad about this game.
I’m a pretty heavy console gamer and I also play almost every MMO that comes out, I dont think either has anything to do with the other.
First of all, most people that are hardcore console gamers dont play PC games.
WoW wasnt popular because it appealed to console gamers, WoW was popular because they took all of the popular elements of the MMOs that came before it and dropped most of the stuff that people hated.
For example, before WoW most MMOs were serious grinds and it took a year plus to reach level cap. In MMOs before WoW most MMOs didnt have mob tagging and you had to compete with farmers and spawn campers to get items or kill mobs. Before WoW there wasnt BoE/BoP gear you could resell your gear which made crafting actually valuable. Before WoW most MMOs werent solo friendly, you had to group with people to succeed. Before WoW games had harsh death penalties, corpse looting. Heck you could de-level in FFXI from dying. WoW got rid of all those things.
WoW also killed MMO etiquette. Pre-WoW you had to obey server etiquette or get blackballed and not be able to advance your character. People used to get kitten off if you talked in the wrong channels. Blizzard basically made an easily accessible MMO for their already established B-Net base, which is BTW one of the most obnoxious communities ever. BNet was already like 4chan before WoW came out.
Blizzard’s negative contribution to MMOs IMHO is how they ruined MMO etiquette. Act like a jerk and ninja? Who cares! You can even get banned make a new account and be back to level cap in a couple months at most and that was in vanilla WoW when they still had harder leveling.
I’d wager that most of the people that play this game arent even old enough to really have played MUDs or EQ1 so I dont really see that as the issue either.
What people are mad about with this game is the game was sold as not having vertical progression/gear treadmill. Most people that have played WoW are tired of running on that treadmill after doing it for 8 years. Its not that they expect an end to it they are tired of running on it and came to this game based on the concept that this game would end that, the trinity and bring back DAoC style world pvp.
Then later they (ANet) went back on their word. And most arent really mad about that but they would like to actually see some of the bugs and balance issues fixed before they start pushing people back onto the treadmill.
I dont really see a huge difference personally between this game and WoW. Frankly speaking WoW has better dungeons and raids than this game.
And the real problem is people were able to ‘beat’ this game too quickly (even ANet admitted that they didnt expect peopel to have full exotics that quickly) which forced them to bring out fractrals faster than they thought they would have to.
Now top this all off with the one time event that screwed over a bunch of people and you see why people are mad.
If they really want to fix the game they should do some serious bug fixing/rebalancing and get the pvp ladder system up and running. Professions like necro & ranger are kinda suffering. Thats a good start. Open up some of the other zones and get people out of L.A. Give people other options to get fractals and fix the ridiculous RNG in the game.
(edited by oflow.2157)
For me its the sense of community and the interaction of the players. Its what makes an MMO an MMO. I like being able to actually go out into the world and talk to other players, help other players, ask questions and get help from other players that know more than I do in game without reading a strat website or guidebook.
Most MMOs in the post WoW era have forsaken this format and moved towards solo content which is why most MMOs now dont hold my attention for long. I enjoyed the MMO aspect of the games and being able to do things in game that didnt necessarily require you to chase the ‘carrot on the stick’ which all mmos have moved towards since the success of WoW. GW2 was supposed to move away from this has gone this route now too.
I really enjoyed it when MMOs basically required you to work/group with other players because not only did it create a sense of community it also policed the community. When MMOs actually took a year+ to reach level cap and you had to have manners and server etiquette or get blacklisted and no one would group with you. I dont miss the long grinds in FFXI, EQ or Lineage, but I do miss the actual communities those games had before the “me, me, me phat lewtz epixz” mindset took over.
The biggest mistake besides making the games mostly solo now that most MMOs are making in the post WoW era is not actually putting real value on the actually time sink elements of the game.
For example crafting. Why make crafting a huge expensive timesink if crafting really isnt valuable in the long run since all of your gear can be replaced by drops or vendor gear? In the old school MMOs you could play and just be a crafter. But in the post WoW era, crafting is just a goldsink that basically might give you enough to start the carrot treadmill at level cap.
Also a good MMO should have another goal to aspire to besides just having the best gear, which sadly is all this game really offers. I know GW2 just launched and it will get better, but right now its fallen into the same ol trap of being just like WoW with end game gear grinding and everyone sitting in LA waiting to run fractals which is exactly how WoW was in Cataclysm.
Since I cant really do the end game PvE since I’m behind the fractal curve (takes too long to get groups and people wont group with you without experience) and the PvP doesnt really have a ranking system/ladder theres no real goal for me to aspire to in this game. You can level alts but half the classes are kinda broken and its not really worth the time to level when you might wind up shelving them til they are fixed anyway.
IMHO they really shot themselves in the foot introducing the fractal system the way they did. Not because of vertical progression but because it basically splintered the community pretty hard too soon and forced people into running on the FotM treadmill for fear of being left behind.
You used to be able to log in and have fun at 80 running around farming in Orr. Once FotM dropped its a ghost town, so new 80s cant really get group events done there since no one is there they are all in LA waiting for fractal groups.
Honestly, I’m still waiting for a DAoC v2.0. WAR came sorta close but dropped the ball hard in their original implementation requiring PvE to do city seiges.
Lately I’ve been playing Wrath of Heroes and Forge, games with fun pvp that actually dont even have the timesink grinding side. The timesink in those games is actually the pvping.
And I’m not against grinding. But at least make the carrot on the stick worth chasing if you are going to have that as your motivating factor. Grinding + RNG is very bad.
(edited by oflow.2157)
goto your local hobby shop and play some PnP roleplaying games. Its a much better experience than trying to RP in an MMORPG and you’ll understand the concept of RPing much better.
they’re ugly. Hard to get past that.
the cross-server TP sucks.
the pc version of ffxi had better graphics than the console version but both played on the same servers.1. Consoles have aim support, console gamers would have an advantage against PC gamers with the automatic lock on a target.
2. This game graphically is advanced. Porting it would mean dropping its quality significantly. You do know there are settings right? FFXI for the PC had graphic settings, that the consoles didnt, MAYBE the consoles couldnt run on ultra, BUT they could run on medium, and your 1st answer is so full of wrong lol.
doesnt matter OP all the pro elementalists are masochists and thats who Arenanet takes their advice from. They want the class to be bad because they are selfish and feel special because they can master a weak class and make it seem competitive on the level on an average ‘up’ profession player. They use the excuse that the class is complicated when in reality its not… most good eles just compensate by having better than average twitch skill which can make up for how bad alot of the tool set is.
They will basically tell you to L2P then show you a couple of vids with all CDs up and a long chain of skills on non-moving targets showing ZOMGBurst and say the classes’ damage is also fine. Meanwhile warriors and thieves can spam burst with 3 spammable non-aimed skills that outperforms even the staged burst damage an elementalists can output.
The biggest problems with elementalist are (besides all the bugs) the class is pigeonholed into only a few specs, pretty much has to take heavy Arcana like you said and has far too many long cast time + directional facing + aimed abilities and also has to stack toughness in pvp which hurts your ability to spec into other stats.
Most elementalists players are used to it but the majority of other classes dont have half as many of these type of abilities as elementalists do. And because of this elementalist is basically forced to play D/D or Staff and bunker. Sometimes you can get away with S/D but mostly in PvE or WvW. Would be really nice if there were some other builds that were stronger with different weapon combos like say D/F or S/F.
People are also saying they play ‘support’ but the reality is most groups dont want ‘supporters’ they would rather have another DPSer that knows how to use support.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/There-is-no-holy-trinity
I think they would really help this profession out a lot if they actually changed arcana (attunement swapping should be shorter in general without points in arcana) and actually made a few other weapon sets actually viable in PvP. (long animations that can be dodged without dodging etc)
And like Lalangamena said, a good portion of ele traits are designed around conjured weapons but they way they operate in game is fail in a major way since they dont allow you to change attunements with a conjured weapon. The way conjures should work is they should really just replace the skills of the element the weapon is associated with and still allow you to swap attunements.
3. Dont use fire.
worst advice evar. you have to use all the attunements fire is a good chunk of your damage since you get damage bonuses on burning targets.
Found the screens of my male human. Enjoy!
From the looks of it hes not male…
the biggest issue currently isnt the ascended gear its just the grinding system they have in place to get cash. Currently people that have played a ton and get geared will have ground so much that they dont want to do it again with other people. This is also compounded by FotM which has already turned the game into the same format that WoW Cataclysm had with most people just in LA waiting to get a FoTM group.
This whole system is bad because the TP is cross server and farmers that are already geared are driving the prices thru the roof for everyone else. Right now its expensive but three months from now a new player will see the prices and not even bother they will just quit the game once they level a few alts to 80 because the cost to gear them to do FotM will be thru the roof.
Its not that simple OP. Most people in the world arent extremists like both ends of the spectrum want you to believe. Most people are moderate. they believe in working hard and earning but also believe in merit as well as charity and helping those less fortunate. The game should have an option for everyone but alas they have basically pullekittent Romney and sold out to the powers that be. They will also start losing players for the same reason and probably wind up blaming the players for their shortcomings like he did too.
I agree with the OP 100-percent.
I also love the Orwellian moderators on this forum. Myabe if they spent as much time paying attention to what the players want as they did deleting posts that arent praising the game posts like the OP’s wouldnt exist in the first place?
most of the people playing less have already ‘finished’ the game for the most part. I see people all the time with 800+ hrs played in game…the games’ only been out for 3 months dont you guys work? lol.
Anyway, the other two groups of people playing less are all the people that somehow feel ‘duped’ and cheated that this game would be different than any other MMO (even if they didnt have vertical progression they would still have to have some kind of treadmill to keep you playing the game so I dont really understand what all the fuss is about this is an MMO after all) and the PvPers that are leaving because this game doesnt really have any sort of kitten measuring system (This is actually a legit gripe if you are into esport, with no ladder or ranking how is this an esport?)
I’m just really surprised because it doesnt seem like they actually thought this far ahead in the scope of the life of the game since this really isnt that far ahead.
I guess they are banking on bringing out more one time events and xpacs and taking advantage of the OCD personality types that have finished the game already. With no other major comp on the horizon even if they leave they’ll come back, thats basically how WoW has lived so long.
@HeeHee: the difference is WoW actually had end game pve raid content. Also WoW has a lot less RNG in the gearing process. Yes it has some (the boss never drops your item) but you can still get badges to buy something equivalent to tide you over. Easy or not the raids in WoW are actually something to do at endgame thats plausible. The dungeon boss mechanics in GW2 in comparison are pretty terrible and grinding them over and over makes people lose interest quick.
call a good necro and turn his boons to conditions and watch his eyes bleed…
what build do you play in spvp?
…not having any actual wars between guilds.
More damage? Realy? Ele has by far the highest burst potential and wrecks everything that balls up. You gotta be kidding right?
Not really. Like the other poster said I was talking about PvE. Do what you did in the video and the elite then 1 hits you.
Also, that play style has no survivability. If I wanted to play like that I’d just go play Deathmatch on CoD. Kill people and respawn. I actually like not dying in pvp. Once the other team knows you’re glass cannon, unless they are full of noobs the classes that can 3 hit you focus you first the rest of the game and you get faceplanted a bunch.
(edited by oflow.2157)
the question is: Who are you trying to convince ‘them’ or yourself?
Why does it matter?
I enjoy S/F in pve and wvw. I think it has more survivability than all the other sets.
The air and water skills are good damage.
level with scepter/dagger or scepter/focus til you are a bit higher level. You get more ranged attacks, ranged blocks and an invunerability in earth.
I feel the same was as the OP. Everyone posting builds that they do good with in response to the OP are posting bunker builds. Will we get a viable spec thats not 30+ water and/or 30+ arcane?
Probably not.
Reroll. lol.
Some easily implemented fixes that I suggest:
1. Lower attunement swapping time across the board.
2. Bring back the EA blast finish. Bug or not.
3. If half our traits are dealing with conjures, make the friggin’ conjures viable. Make it so they only replace the skills of the element they are attuned to and
allow us to swap attunements with a conjured weapon.
4. Class needs a base damage buff in general. Doesnt have to be big since we do have a lot off CC, but our base damage skills do almost no damage compared to other classes, especially specced heavy damage.
5. We have too many long cast times, directional facing requirements and aimed skills. Tone them down a bit. (this could also be used to fix thief what if some of their huge burst skills had to be aimed like fire grab instead of just spammed?)
The problem is that other classes glass cannon specs arent really glass cannons.
Thief and warrior players love to tell other professions to learn2dodge but I never see other classes telling them to ‘learn 2 dodge’ because the other professions’ glass cannon specs dont actually have the ability to do 20k burst, not in under 3 seconds.
Other classes need to either be buffed to where their glass cannon specs can actually do the same thing or thief burst needs more nerf.
I would personally rather see a bunch of real glass cannons at least the fight is more fair. Especially since ANet already nerfed bunkers harder than they nerfed burst when the only reason bunker builds exist is because thief and warrior burst is too high.
must be true they infracted him for the post lol. Good post though was fun reading.
So basically warriors’ defense is ‘but thief can do more damage with more escapes’.
How is it that warriors and thieves always fall back on the ‘L2Dodge’ line but I never see any other classes telling warriors and thieves they need to ‘L2Dodge’?
I never see any posts by warriors complaining about other classes. (They dont complain about thieves they actually have aa 50-50 chance in a real glass cannon versus glass cannon fight)
And its not because warriors are all ‘pro’ its actually the opposite. Most warriors are average at best but think they are good because the class is up.
Other classes dont say this because like I said no other classes can put out the burst that they do. Look at people in this thread defending the argument by saying things like ‘oh it really only hits for 8-9k’
No other classes can hit for this hard besides thief. Most other classes’ biggest hits are 5kish.
Because of this other classes are forced to lower their burst even more to gain survivability, which like I said still favors warriors. It would be different if other classes actually had glass cannon specs but the reality is they dont even if specced for it. Other classes get all glass minimum cannon, unless it WvW against undergeared ppl.
So cool dont nerf warriors. But all the other classes need damage BUFFS.
Say what you want but as is this imbalance will kill this game. Either that or all you will see is mesmers thieves and warriors. Oh wait…
I have an 80 ele and I am leveling an eng. I’d go with eng. They are both is the same sort of boat mechanics wise, but the elementalist has a lot of extremely frustrating bugs and basically only has 1 (maybe two if you stretch it) viable builds. After so much QQing elemental bunker builds got a nerf last patch but the thing is people only specced bunker because you cant spec anything else and actually be useful.
Elementalists’ damage traits are pretty bad so basically the class doesnt have a dps spec. Conjured weapons are designed horribly and a bunch of the traits in all of the trees deal with conjured weapons. (The problems with conjured weapons is they lock you out of your other skills which u need to live and replace them with the weapons skills. The fix for this would be to only have the conjured skills replace the elemental they are attuned to i.e. fiery sword should only replace fire skills and still let you swap to other attunes then they would be useful. They also can be picked up by other players which kinda screws you when they do this)
The way attunement swapping works you are pretty much forced to spec heavy into Arcane for attunement reduction time and then heavy into water for healing and survival since elementalists have the lowest HP in the game. On top of that 80-percent of elementalist abilities have long cast times, direction facing requirements AND aiming. Its fun but a ton of work to get the same results other classes can do pressing 2 buttons. As an elementalists you might have to dodge twice, swap attunements 3 times and cast 3 directional/aimed spells to get the same result a warrior does charging and hitting the mob three times.
The one good trick that we had was might stacking but that was nerfed in the last patch when they fixed the evasive arcana bug along with a bunch of other stuff that wasnt working as intended. Basically ele got nerfed last patch and the two major fixes implemented are still bugged.
From what I’ve heard people say, Eng actually brings a lot more utility than elementalist. I know eng has better burst than ele so if you like doing damage I’d go eng.
For me ele is like playing a WoW disc priest but not really as fun. Specced heavy arcane/water you basically have low damage, so sure its hard to kill you but you cant kill anyone either, which means you are left with support and like I said from what I’ve heard eng has better support abilities than ele.
(edited by oflow.2157)
S/F is mostly for PvE and WvWvW. Too many cast times for spvp.

Sums up how rangers feel — a joke post but summed it up pretty well.
Compares warrior rifle to eng rifle

Warrior vs Necro
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/arenanet-tracker/topic/236131-i-play-a-necro-but-i-traid-a-warrior-for-one-play-session/
Also, my main is a bunker build elementalist but I also have a warrior and a necro. As an elementalists I can keep warriors from killing me but they can basically still out damage me when snared with rifle so basically I wind up running away.
The point is that the entire reason there are bunker builds because of warriors and thieves doing too much burst. Other classes are forced to dumping everything they have into defense just to fight them. The truth of the matter is that most other classes dont have enough burst even in glass cannon spec to deal 25k burst to kill a warrior in seconds and in a spec that could come close to it they basically can be three shotted which still favors the warrior. Its worse now since evasive arcana has been nerfed.
I know you want me to provide proof but I can ask you the same thing. Show me some numbers of other classes besides warriors/thieves hitting people for 20k?
@Vicarious: Your argument is also horrendous. You cherry picked my post. Saying you can beat other warriors as a warrior isnt proving anything but my point.
Been playing the Age of WuShu beta and terrible translation aside its got a lot of things that are done much better than this game.
The crafting is excellent. GW2’s crafting makes me want to pound my face on the desk. The combat system is actually fun and has some innovation (Martial Arts Crouching Tiger hidden Dragon flying etc no classes you can learn all the skills, alignments) The experience system is also great with offline modes. When you log out your character walks around and becomes an NPC and can be kidnapped by enemy factions etc.
Theres actually real open world pvp in addition to arenas. The way the game is designed the players police themselves. If you gank too much you become an outlaw and can get bounties put on your head and get put in jail for a time. Also players themselves can become constables and come and hunt you down.
Only real drawback so far is that it does have some pay to win features (but they designed the system to where it has daily caps on gains) and like I said the translation is fairly terrible so it makes the game hard to understand since the system is pretty complex and the tooltips and help guide seems like they were translated with Google translator lol.
In comparison I think its actually better than GW2 as far as what I am looking for in an MMO.
Its old school DAoC style open world combat and the nice crafting system had me hooked. The crafting is actually fun unlike this game. GW2 is a very grindy game even for an MMO since you have to farm pve just to make cash and get components that are based on RNG drops.
In AoW you can actually just play as a crafter if you wanted to and set up offline booths to sell goods.
FYI I got 1 closed beta key left if anyone is interested just PM me.
conjures are bad because other people can take your conjures which is stupid.
Plus they loock you out of all your other attunements. They should let you swap to other attunements and just lock the one the weapon is associated with out.
(edited by oflow.2157)
MOBA games are more fun because the grind is actually playing to have fun not grinding to get geared up to have fun. They also are easier to balance and people can spectate and learn.
you’re all overlooking the fact that a warrior has better regen thru signets than other classes have thru heals and warrior’s a supposedly melee heavy class but can out damage even the ranged classes with their ranged weapons when not even specced into a ranged spec.
Meaning a TB glass cannon warrior can weapon swap to rifle and out damage a dps ranger, engineer, necro or elementalist when they are snared. People are saying hes exaggerating on the damage output, but most other classes besides thief and mesmer cant even hit you for 8k (which is on the low side for warrior burst), the others average more like 4-5k at best and thats being generous.
Also, compared to the other classes, their glass cannon spec isnt really very glassy with heavy armor and traits that give them extra health on top of their already high health pool and regen.
So sure it might be easier to avoid warrior abilities in a 1v1 scenario, but like people always like to say, pvp isnt balanced around 1v1 and most of the time you arent fighting the warrior 1v1 so the chances of him hitting you with HB or one of his other abilities does go up when theres other CCs etc involved.
Saying warriors are fine because thieves are also unbalanced doesnt really prove a point besides balance favors thieves and warriors.
(edited by oflow.2157)
lol all the toopltip jokes are funny. I know I know forum infraction. Anet will start to find our lack of faith disturbing.
…did not happen. In fact ele got worse not better. A slight pve buff and a bunch of nerfs.
