We learned some new things against JQ and BG last week. Mostly we learned that our server is mostly fairweathers.

i don’t underastand how you can expect anything else with being the new bandwagon server. it has been the case with every other bandwagon server as soon as the easy wins stop the new people don’t show up anymore. why did you think this wasnt the case with db to make this some sort of suprise?

It’s interesting because DB received all of its transfers when the “easy” wins stopped. Since we moved to T2, we had one week I would consider easy; the rest have all been hard fought, excepting last week when we were soundly trounced.

sure i have another theory. you got the transfers in t3 they got you to t2 where you didnt dominate and so they lost interest the same as many other bandwagon servers.

What a great idea! That will go real well for a guild that is rebuilding after being gutted by the “legendary” egos. Even if EMP were in a position to GvG right now it wouldn’t settle anything. There are still going to be hard feelings among certain individuals. If anything it would just make the drama even worse than it is, and I think we’ve had enough of that already.

Personally I haven’t had this much fun in a long time. Especially when we have to defend lowland (only green item in EB) against both JQ n BG zerg. Not say I have witness any new tactics though…

I have been playing wvw for more than 6 months now, only thing I played in gw2. 2v1 does happen. Sometime 2 servers are in a truce to not attack each other – dun tell me this does not happen. It does…. But so, this is wvwvw. What do you expect?

I m from DB by the way. We fight as we fight always. Lost keep, retake it later when the truce ended. kitten off? Definitely. But life in wvw goes on.

prediction:
1. Culling will be even worse.
2. DC even more frequent.
3. Thief gets another speed buff and damage buff.
4. AOE attack will now hit 3 targets instead of 5.
5. New currency for wvw to buy ascended items. Can only get 1 if your server wins the weekend match. So to buy 1 ascended item with the new currency, your server must win 50 matches (around 1 year).

Why do players hack? So they can gain point for their server? Maybe some do but I don’t think the majority does it for that reason. I think they do it because they can and they want ppl to see them. I bet you that once they hack it, they will log in the forum to see if ppl discuss about them. Probably give the hacker a jack-off reading so many kitten off ppl describing how this hacker does all these thing and 20 ppl standing there, unable to do anything about it.

So please dun feed all these hackers by describing these exploit in this or any forums. If there is no audience, maybe these hackers will go away.

Op is right. I m sure our oceanic players love to interact wif their NA counterpart. Playing on wvw is just something they do to pass time while waiting for reply in e map chat.

maguuma is definitely tier 1 in forum wvw. db is really out of depth in this war.

The daily are too simple and can be completed within 30min. If the conditions are right, daily can be finish within 15min.

This daily reward does not benefit those hardware wvw players who spent many hours everyday in wvw. Shouldn’t anet make multi-tier for the daily? So that the more time you spend in wvw, the more laurels you can earn. This will increase the participation of players in wvw. Of course the daily must make sense in wvw context, like capture a camp, or escort yak, things like this.

From what i am seeing… 1 laurel a day. 30 laurels a month. ya, and i dun do fractal. Pure wvw only. Will take me months to get ascended items. Sigh… now i feel like logoff from wvw after i completed my daily. Well done anet.

The new currency sucks for players who only do wvw. Seems like I can only have 1 laurel per day irregardless of how many hrs I played in wvw. To get e monthly, I have to do fractual – wtf. Basically it is encourage pugs to go into wvw, take up valuable wvw slot, spend 15 min, get e daily, n get out.

Just out of curiousity and being new to the tier, why the bad blood between CD and FA/IoJ?

I encountered a few FA hackers last night who flipped a tower, tried to flip a keep and another tower. And that left a certain bad taste in my mind. But 99% of FA seem like honorable opponents, and I haven’t seen anything particularly bad from CD yet.

Most of the bad blood on the CD side is probably because of the recent FA/IOJ merger.

Imagine you get to a new tier, fight with the same opponents for a month, and when you are really starting to dominate, and will soon move up, your two opponents merge onto one server, and then another server come into the mix. It’s slightly annoying.

Edit: lol at all the FOJs doomsaying trying to call a CD collapse. Sorry, we’re a tight-knit server.

I m Singaporean n played in Dragonbrand. Come here lah, very fun one. Players here very nice, no horse run. Got huge Taiwanese base players, so definitely no outmanned buff at night after work.

The late crew is awesome! Although our numbers cant match what our current opponents can field, we still manage to rock them repeatedly. We may end up losing a position, but not before we’ve bled them almost dry. There’s been 2 man defense teams successfully pushing off zergs of 20+!

The server as a whole rocks. Tons of teamwork, unparalleled communication and coordination. It just has a nasty gap in coverage that needs filling to lock it into an upward climbing server.

If you’re looking for fun times and great fights Yak’s Bend is definitely the server to transfer to. If you transfer get with me, I’d love to share strats and map objectives.

Bzzzzzzzzt wrong. Golems damage is based purely of your stats + the golems base stats. Having high vitality causes the golem to have more health, having more power will cause the golem to do more damage.

Food with no active buffs (aka +100 power +70 vitality for example) still boost golems stats, oils work too.

Really for golem? Definitely same damage for treb and cata when use by different ppl wif different stats. Dun see why golem behaviour is different. Anyone can verify this?

I wasted about 5 golems in different tests and builds awhile back. They have a base power, precision, vitality and toughness amount and its added to your stats. I cant remember the exact amounts but its something like 2069 power, 2069 precision, 2069 toughness, 12069 vitality + your stats.

It is the ONLY siege equipment that scales with the user, all the others are fixed damage. So when golem rushing either have your highest power/ attack users in the golem or highest vitality/ health if you have multiple golems.

perfect fix for the massive zergs: anet implement a no more than 5% population advantage on a map. That way regardless of time, maps are always basically even populated. Longer queues, maybe…force players to stop stacking on one server and spread out on them all.

Then we will have 1v1v1 in wvwvw. The 2nd person wil not be able to login because it will be an increase of 100percent against other server.

But e point is why penalized e server with larger pop? I totally understand where u r coming from. Anet needs to match up 3 servers wif similar population in 3 same time zones instead of by points.

Great idea wif e nukes, but should not be too easy to get. Maybe e server can have 2 nukes when they have 695ppt at each of their keep in EB n BL. The server must fire e nukes in 30 sec after all e players vote which area to nuke, failing to do so will cause e nuke to self destruct n destroy all upgrades, supplies n ppl in e keeps.

There is an advantage of being up level 80 in wvw. Previously I got tired of my level 80 ranger being killed by thieves while I look at e map for 3 sec, So i roll a thief n go straight into wvw. That was quite sometime ago, but I remember my thief got a 50 pt buff in power due to some guild buff, n it increases my power from 2000+ to 3000+. An increase of almost 1000. I stop playing thief because of my stiff finger, so I dun know what is the average power of a thief, or a glass cannon one. But I think the guild buff effect to a low level thief is quite impressive.

YB perform defence of valley in EB masterfully these 2 days. Hope we can reset it tonight

i play ranger as a support role in wvw. sb for quick damage output (although not much) and lb for aoe (the only skill useful when using lb compared to sb). just dun get in a 1v1 situation, especially with thief… will go badly. stand behind the zerg to give support fire… will get lots of badges 2800 badges with 11k kill so far.

solo camp is easily achieveable… but takes a long long time to kite.

I work erratic hours and simple observation tells me that DB is massively ahead during Asian peak hours and tends to lag behind in NA peak times. That’s not a criticism either just a statement of fact

If your statement was true then yaks should be able to close the gap during NA prime time. but as the score reflects your server cannot do so because our NA crew can effectively keep your income in check. So either DBs NA is getting stronger and more effective or your server is becoming weaker and less effective.

We know DB’s NA period has gotten stronger. We know you had some NA transfer in. We know. We also know we have almost no Asian coverage when we are at work which is the reason for the big point ticks when you golem all our gates down and re-colour our map. We know.

What if i said that your oceanic presence is underperforming and should be in tier 5 or lower, and the reasons YB and EB is in tier 4 is because of the their NA presence. How would your oceanic players feel?

YB forces when DB is rolling huge horde is about 10 to 1 odds to both others servers combined. When Yak is rolling prime-time EB and DB are close to same numbers separate. That is when YB oceanic presence does not dominate.
