To do not build a classic expansion would be a mistake.

Its the best way to go for marketing and psychologic.

By the way, you would be sure to get cash fo the company.

Bring us challenge, a little more trinity, less dps and zerking (it kills the game) and more interest to craft.

Be careful, your game is good but players are too much volatile compared to gw1, because the gw2 fundation is not perfect.

it started saturday aftenoon for me… i check my cpu/ram scalability and all is ok.

i check nvidia driver, -repair, etc… no prb.

it happens randomly, but seems in large area.

I don’t undertand what s wrong, i never experiment that issues before…

u got same error ?

hmmm guys, i think you can be a casual gamer but elitist who look for challenge only.

You don’t need extra hours each days to perform challenges.

So, i think Theme park is not a prb because there is a public for that.
The goal now is to implement some optional hardmode, like elite mode/zone in gw1.

I don’t have any prb with beginner player who like easy tasks, but i have a serious prb with a hardmode missing option.

@Kaaboose : you don’t understood what i mean. i agree stat replacement is a pain but actually it works. remove toughness from dps character and add it only to the tank and the gameplay become different, more teamplay oriented, tested and approved.

so if you can replace a stat with mf, you got some effects. hard to gain better reward ? yes that is what we r looking for.

But i agree it is difficult to implement because the core did not built for that.

One way is to introduce new gears with mf combined with other stats that give a solution for people who looks for a purist gameplay and hardmode.

@Dual : yes you r right and this immune is stupid. i meant control for the adds, and support for the mates with aura zone and/or buff-combo like frozen armor etc…, it works perfect in party.

the control/support are the second roles a healer perform. if you play a pure class, you may have a real healer/support, a real dps glasscanon and a real tank. so… wtf ???

Finaly, the game is too easy… nobody need to build a team like this.

But nothing has been changed since the beta… 2 months after the release ANet found the waypoints in dungeon were abused and decide to block it.

That means they don’t know their game and i doubt they will change anything in the future…

They are not credible.

To be super casual is not a problem for the game. i know many casual who looks for hardmode and hardcore gaming… time spent is not the final goal, only achievments and challenge should be.

Elitism is not an issue but should not be implement by gears check, never !

we need panda players like my young sister, and we need elistist bad guys too

anyway, ANet take risk to initiate innovation and it is very fine, i agree.

the goal is to seduce unskilled panda player and hardcore player who looks for hardmode and reward.

i don t have any pb with the both population, they can live together.

The only common things to fix are the teamplay (too much dps profile), mf, camera and ui features (build management). Anything else is not so important and can be revamp later in the future.

At least the fractal system is the way to go, even for classic existing dungeon : let the player choose the difficulty and loot rate will be in consequence.

ANet, be carefull with the trinity-less… we need it a little bit

GW2 will fail because ANet is falling into the same trap as other developers — they are adding trivial gimmicks and distractions, rather than focusing on making the core game fun / more fun.

the game become a panda… PVE is too easy, no teamplay = fail
The next door is ftp asian model.

give the gw1 system back… because it brings real players, the current people in gw2 is just… temporary fast-fooder

why suxx ? because i don t do critical hit ? i don t want dps, i want heal & control & loot bonus so…what s the prb ? the elem water is the best healer of the game with a good build/stuff and ..gameplay with control.

Maybe you never ask for it because you never need heal point ?
actualy the game is easy mode… with full stats only, remove one, and all is different for sure.

about “save” i edit the post with “help”, it s better…

@Kaaboose : my MF solution solve the Trinity/Teamplay issue by adding more realistic roles.

@Dual : control and support is useless because the game is too easy.
With less stat on stuff (replaced by MF), game is harder…so you need to be carefull how you play and respect roles.

Is there a way to definitly fix the % MF issue and bring back a great teamplay system ?
Read below, it take few lines of code to solve many many prb in gw2.

Actually, if you want a full MF armor, you don’t have the choice… you must DPS only.
What happen if my healer/support character want MF and play a dungeon with a full MF team (or not) ? … i can’t because it’s all about power/precision/mf.
It s a gameplay killer ! so bad !

Now imagine i can replace a stat by mf value. Imagine i play support and i replace power or precision with MF… yes ! now i can heal my friend as usual because i play the role i want… it s good !

Now imagine i m a tank, i replace power with MF, i m a real tanky now ! i don’t dps anymore and i can loot better ! it’s good !

And the best… imagine i m a warrior or a dps oriented, i replace toughness with MF, now i m a glasscanon..i deal pure dps and i loot ! it’s pretty good !

what does it mean ? it means that the tank become the only character with toughness so he take aggro for sure, my healer is now a real medic/support because i will never do critical hits !

by this way, i bring back teamplay, not trinity, but…. a little bit more realistic to the role players wants to play in party.
Of course, if the party is full MF they are in hardmode, and it’s good :!!!!
and they loot nice.

I think this is the solution for guild wars 2 …. to let the player choose the stat to be replaced by MF, it could be permanent of temporary… you want harcore and reward ? ok just replace stat with mf and it’s done.

This is ending the dungon rush attitude, and people can play a real team work they ask for. Now the dungeon is challenge, teamplay is ok, and people will loot nice items.

an exotic stuff run in low lvl zone is god mode…

I have a simple solution :

Delete the % MF on gear, only keep it on banner, buff and food.

Implement a new rule in the combat algorythm :
- up the % MF * dps i deal, great for fighter
- up the % MF * hit i receive, great for tanky
- up the % MF * health point i heal, great for healer

Implement this when your enter the combat mode, the current algo knows what you do, so… when a monster is killed, just apply these new rules, then loot.

But i know one issue : what happen if you are dps/tanky/healer like many hybrid characters in game ? problem solved with mathematic :

—> just calculate an average based on your dps/toughness/heal stuffs stats, find the ratio and apply it to the combat stats function that give result. Respect the semantic object in your design and you are fine.

something like that : if you are strong dps and low toughness, if during the combat you don’t dps but take damage, you got a low % MF bonus when looting, just because you miss something this time…so try again ^^

that s mean you must play your role/class better ^^ excellent for gameplay

I don’t see any prb, and i don ’t understand why some guy says it s abused…

That s why we need a toolbox for that and free of use.

It s not my guild wars vision… i play gw1 for years now, sorry.

Quick access to my build give me quick access to challenge, and direcly when i log on

Anyway, i don’t like the business vision of guild wars 2, you must pay for all, and win nothing… no challenge, only farm farm… in GW1 you won items and skills

And that 10 silver is gonna cost you what? Half an hour to make up in loot? So you just spent half an hour for the ability to swap out your Traits any time you want. (just not from anywhere you want) If that 10 silver is really breaking you, I’d might take another look at how you’re balancing your books.

i don’t want to farm 30 minutes to pay my respe. in that case, i play wow or asian mmo, but not guild wars. try to say that to an old veteran gw1 player, just ridiculous.

When i read that, i m now pretty sure gw spirit is dead, due to mmo fast food industry and players who never experiment gw1.

GW become WOW or AION, definitly very bad thanks players… you kill the original game with imported obsolete idea… wow religion ;( rage off/

A1: So only allow it in major cities then.

+ Village, camp, dungeon entrance.

A2: too expensive → not all people are rich iin gw2, not all people is hardcore gamer
Imagine i play a day and change my build very very often, spend a gold or more for respe is out of my point of view in Guild wars spirit.

maybe for other asian bashing mmo or wow but… guild wars is not a standard mmo.

when you respe, you change the lines you assign points, because it s a new build, not only a little change to the current one.

and yes, in gw1 you can load/save your build everywhere in all the cities.

That is the way to go for gw2.

We want a free template management without the obligation to go to Trainer NPC in PVE.

waste of time. this is a limitation of build creation and multi-role.

I don’t want to loose time and money to teleport Lion’Arch to respe skill.
Most of them have 2 or 3 template per character and the revamp current system is crappy. Let it free of use like pvp.

That’s why people tend to have more than one character in the same profession. But I do agree. We should allow to save 2 or 3 templates and switch between them.

Does these guys really exists ? i never seen one guy reroll the same character just to have a different build/stuff in Guild Wars… and from other mmo, it’s very rare.

We need to catch and immortalize the guild wars 1 spirit … actually on the way to be sacrified

i change my complete template very often and i m bored to travel to Lion’Arch and then return to my dungeon…

I think the people who thinks it s good has never played to gw1 before.

now about 3,50 silver cost… sorry but i m kidding yes, but because i must paid this stupid taxe. What is the interest ? inflation… haha sorry it s crappy to concern respec

i want to respec everywhere i m and when i want… ok i tolerate a NPC per area would be nice (but crappy too)… i think the total free pvp respe is the way to go.We bought the books with gold isn’t it ? ok well done, it’s enought.
