Not a direct ranger change but a buff to Valkyrie remorseless builds.
The rune of exuberance is vitality based the 2 piece is 3% of your vitality is converted to healing power, 4 piece is 3% of your vitaly is converted to precision 6 piece is 3% of your vitality is converted to power.
With the new rune set could Valkyrie builds could become more popular?
I feel as if it is missing something, which is why I thought stealth would fit but torment could fit nicely as well.
Combine ‘Shared Anquish’ and ‘Hide in Plain Sight’ into one trait. So a stun is transferred to your pet, and you gain stealth.
That would be a good idea. It would give rangers access to stealth and give us a good option for a stun lose.
15 stacks because it only resets your opening strike. I still think that there needs to be more options for a 30 point trait to be worth it. Why invest that much if it only affects one weapon?, especially since it is arguably the weakest weapon the ranger has.
I didn’t think that every idea would be implemented. I was thinking that one maybe two would work best. Some are a bit if a stretch bit I thought starting discussion would be best. For the remorseless to worth the trait, we need more than one way to access stealth. I think that the sword and shortbow make the most sense.
When they fix Remorseless, we need more than Hunter’s Shot for the ability to Stealth for a 30 point trait to be worth it. The 30 point traits are suppose to be “Build defining” according to the devs. I have spent some time thinking about other abilities that make sense to have stealth added to them. I know that it is suppose to be a thief mechanic, so there should be no utility skills with stealth added, instead you add stealth to weapon skills.
Sword, Hornet Sting add a 2 second stealth, increase CD to 10-12 seconds. This is already a disengage skill so a short stealth would make sense. You could stealth to run, or stealth to reapply Remorseless and then hit with the chain ability. I think this is the best option and actually possible without breaking the game.
Shortbow, Concussion shot, If hit from side or from behind grant 2-3 seconds of stealth, Keep CD. This would allow for the shortbow to become even more about position. You could then re-position without the opposition knowing where you are. Whats better than being able to position yourself behind the foe for crossfire? This could mesh too well with Moment of Clarity, guaranteed crit and increased damage every 25 seconds.
Warhorn, Hunter’s Call, add a 2 second stealth, keep the CD. The birds disorient the target allowing you to stealth. Everyone seems to want a secondary effect with this skill and I think this could fit nicely. This would allow for a Valkyrie sword/warhorn longbow build to be pretty viable. I fear that this would almost make warhorn a mandatory offhand with both stealth and blast finisher on it though.
Greatsword, Hilt Bash, add a 2 second stealth. Keep current CD. When you daze/stun someone they could lose sight of you. Good addition here, could mesh too well with Moment of Clarity, guaranteed crit and increased damage every 30 seconds.
Just a cleaving skill. That is all I want. A weapon skill that cleaves.
It won’t hit nearly as hard in a hybrid build. I have 100% crit chance in DS, and I have at a minimum 80% more crit damage. The amount of raw damage I could put out compared to the damage you could within that time period wouldn’t be comparable. I would be criting every second I am in DS for every hit multiple a second thanks to warhorn, well, and life transfer. I would also be dealing more damage due to the fact that I have more power. To pull off the same combo as myself you would have to give up too many important things to a hybrid necro such as epidemic or the signet or BiP, I could run BiP also increasing damage.
I would crit upwards of 3 times a sec for 3ish seconds for at least 2 times what you would hit for.
Sustained AoE, the hybrid build is better at but the power build has plenty of AoE that would hit harder. Nemesis even covers the AoE part in his build video.
Axe 3, well of suffering, warhorn 5, DS 4, in that order is powerful. That is a strong melee AoE combo. I use well of power for my stun breaker so that is another. DS5, life blast (when traited), and Focus 4 (kind of stretching it). You have quite a few AoE options.
Just used badges of honor to buy 4/6 pieces of exotic zerker armor and I can tell a large difference between full rare and mostly exotic zerker gear.
The Axe is a useful weapon because you can generate life force quickly with it and increase damage in death shroud. You can also kite with Axe/focus fairly well keeping up chill on a single target then an AoE cripple, allowing for you kite easily.
I am just learning the different ranger builds. How are you getting 20+ might stacks so easily? I can see 9 from signets and 3 from the pet, if you include the elite that means you are blowing 3 120 second skills to grant that and then it can’t be sustained. The benefit from the might stacks would have to increase you dps by over 30% Over that 15 second period to beat out a constant 5% increase over a 120 second period. I thought the general consensus was that a flat % gain was better than might. I would like to see a video of the way you play your build. It is something similar to what I have been trying to theorycraft but something always feels off.
@ Bounty Hunter: You dont get the point of the topic… read it agian its not a build that you play its the theoretically highest dmg output. You can do it better than show me your video or be quiet . That’s why i didn’t include a link at first and that’s why i’ll delete the link to the build again becuase people think its a viable build -,-
@ everone else : A weird thing i noticed:
The Ranger seems to have an inbuilt attack scaling on Vitality, or i am really missing something here plz help me . The screenshot shows my stats with berserker and valkyre both with and without the Trait “strenght of spirit”.
I thought valkyre and berserker got the same power stats, and i checked it ingame and it also said so …but still higher numbers on the valkyre side. (same buffs etc.)Can anyone explain?
No
Theoretically you are missing the highest Damage output by excluding free stacks of might by taking longbow dmg.
Do the stacks of might contribute more damage than the 5% increase from the longbow trait?
Edit: The damage would be greater for anything besides longbow but if you use the longbow more often then I think 5% increase would be greater.

So I have been running a spectral Hybrid SR build. Haven’t really tested it extensively yet. I took my favorite parts of a couple builds and combined them. It is a Hybrid/Terror/Spectral/SR build.
I am no pro but I sure as heck have quite a bit of fun with it. You can change around the armor and some traits to go more for a Direct Damage build. The amount of LF regen is crazy and the damage is good and the survive-ability is good.
@grave wrong thread, this is about a new condition for death shroud. Please try to stay on subject.
I have 1450 condition damage and tick for 115. No might, no corruption stacks that is with my hybrid build.
I would take the terror trait, instead of the 33% chance to gain 1% LF. With 15-25 stacks of might you will have 675-1025 condition damage and terror would help increase your spike damage, especially with the marks deal 10% more damage, staff CD reduction, and 20% under 50% health. You can get a hard hitting CC to help get them down fast after they get below 50%. You also should have plenty of LF regen with SA and the 15 points in Soul Reaping. Y
I have discovered a way to jump from any height and not die. Replication steps:
1. equip Spectral walk
2. Jump off a cliff
3. Activate spectral walk while in the air
4. Activate Spectral walk’s return ability before hitting the ground
5. Land and walk away
You will take less than 100 fall damage, that is the most I have ever taken.
I think this might be a bug but I have absolutely no idea. I thought I would share with the community of my discovery.
