What should I do?
Roll a Ranger
Working on: Engineer
Warrior and Necro are the easiest to play while watching a child. Mesmer is ok, but requires setup. Guard and Rev need more button pressing and screen watching.
Working on: Engineer
I think giving each base legend its own F2 skill would be an easier bandaid fix.
Working on: Engineer
2 more bounces added to Axe 1.
Working on: Engineer
Been using Axe+Axe for the past 3 years, it’s just so much AOE, very useful in open world events.
Working on: Engineer
Disappointed. More bounces please.
Working on: Engineer
I prefer leveling the mastery system using generic EXP and not Mastery Points. It’s infinitely more understandable and allows me to play however/wherever I prefer.
Working on: Engineer
For me, it’s the Ranger.
Working on: Engineer
They could start by giving each legend a F2 skill.
Working on: Engineer
I like the idea of a spirit shaman for the next ranger elite.
Weapon: Hammer
Skills: Spirits
My spirit shaman would get the hammer as its new weapon, great.
In terms of new skills, it doesn’t get any. Instead the current line of spirit skills are upgraded through a trait in the elite spec. In addition to providing its current effects, the new F5 will cause the ranger’s existing pet to channel the spirit into itself for a limited time, causing some additional effect. Something like an enhanced manifestation of nature.
Sorry I don’t have any mechanics, this is just a concept.

Axe/Axe is my primary weapon set for open world PVE, much AOE on very short cooldowns (make sure you have Honed Axes traited), useful for tagging as much stuff as possible.

I really like playing the Leader sort of role in parties, and I feel as if the class should be:
-Versatile
-Sustainable
-Supportive(in terms of buffs, heals, shields etc)
Chronomancer, Guardian, Druid, Tempest, Herald
These are the first classes that come to mind.

The appearance of the animations is very nice, a very agile fighter moving around. The survival animations, sword, gs, offhand axe, dagger are all very nice.
When youre out in the world just adventuring and exploring by yourself it doesnt feel as lonely ( for lack of a better term) since you have your trusty sidekick with you.
Overall the class resonates with me very well and just kind of feels right when i play it.
Agreed, these are the main reasons why I still love my Ranger.

I might be tempted to pay using real money if they had a gem promo, eg. USD 10 gets 1000 gems instead of 800, just for the anniversary.
Working on: Engineer
E-2-3-4-R-X-C-altC-Z-altZ for weapon/utility/elite
L for action camera, although I might rebind this to MMB
~ for weapon swap
LShift or double-tap for dodge
I use a cheapo wireless KB+M combo for my PC and a basic 2 button with scrollwheel mouse for my laptop.

More easy-to-earn Mastery Points please!
Working on: Engineer
FINALLY !
Thanks ANet
Working on: Engineer
I’m still playing my Ranger. It’s relaxing and comfortable, and I still love the Ranger as an archetype. I’m a casual player though, so cutting edge balance is not a primary concern for my play style.

Thank you! Thank You! THANK YOU!

Pretty sure it’s ok as long as each action requires an individual press key.

Good idea! West Coast will be better for the entire AUS + SEA regions.
Working on: Engineer
Definitely better pet pathing and responsiveness.

This has been requested since 2012.

If you provided us with a little more information about your plans/goals I think you’ll find a lot more people would be interested in responding to your thread.
What mode of PvE? Dungeons/Mapping/Farming?
Do you have a preferred playstyle (Condi/power/hybrid/etc)? Is Optimal damage important to you?
Do you have budget?
Hijacking slightly…
Is there a good setup for tagging as many mobs as possible during random events while doing world completion?
Working on: Engineer
In all my other MMOs, my Ranger/Hunter archetype are all the smaller races (it originated from my Hobbit Hunter in Lord of the Rings Online).
In addition, Norn’s running animation feels slow and lumbering, even at the smallest body size. Sylvari aesthetics overall reminds me too much of Michael Bay’s Decepticons, with those leafy slices all over the body, which is a major turn-off for me. Charr’s jumping animation feels like the maximum height is set too low for its body, which doesn’t evoke a sense of fun for me whenever I press spacebar. Nothing wrong with Human looks/animations, except that the Asura Ranger came so naturally to me that I never considered creating my Ranger as Human.

I would recommend you swap to Axe/Axe or Axe/Torch when you are doing events which involve multiple mobs and many players. Helps to tag more mobs so you can get credit for involvement.
Working on: Engineer
Waiting for a sale.
Working on: Engineer
I don’t really care whether is melee or ranged. But I would like a profession that is noob friendly and will let me get away with lots of mistakes unlike thief or ele.
Warrior, Ranger, Necromancer.
Working on: Engineer
Oh those. Right-click, Destroy.
Working on: Engineer
1. At 80, you choose 3 out of 5 to be active at any time.
2. All skins you get are unlocked to your account. At any time you can reapply the skin to your equipment at the cost of 1 transmutation charge per item.
3. Sell them.
Working on: Engineer
Have not encountered any persistent crash issue with GW2 since launch, thankfully. Hope you can resolve your issue soon.
Working on: Engineer
Move it to the West Coast please.
It’ll be an improvement for SEA players.
Working on: Engineer
I would like a main hand pistol.
Working on: Engineer
The Secret World does its telegraph shapes pretty well.
It looks like GW2’s circles, but has more shapes, and uses white instead of red. It also has a single pulse emanating from the source, and when the pulse fills the shape, the effect is cast (it’s a cast bar within the telegraph itself, essentially).
Working on: Engineer
Stbh I don’t care about the betas and the character slots
Of course you wait.
Working on: Engineer
I like this trait. It’s the only essential trait I find for World Completion.
Working on: Engineer
It’s ok, we aren’t archers, we are Rangers.
Working on: Engineer
Saw a level 35 Guardian using shield + mace this morning at the Fields of Ruin.
Working on: Engineer
I would like an Arcane Archer type of character. It could be a Longbow+Shortbow build, with Glyphs (from Ele) which change based on the active weapon type.
Working on: Engineer
$45 at launch, since GMG had a 25% off coupon at that time. I’ll also be waiting for a sale before getting HOT.
So far, I have zero complaints about the price.
Working on: Engineer
Working as intended.
Working on: Engineer
you guys should make your games better, not a lot suckier.
The game feels better for me.
Working on: Engineer
Don’t spec into BM and just enjoy the pet as another passive damage source.
Working on: Engineer
I like this current system a lot better. The April 2014 revamp made leveling un-fun, because I can’t even start experimenting with traits until 80. That’s how troublesome the trait acquisition was for me.
Now that traits can be unlocked purely by leveling, I no longer have to rely purely on login Tomes. The fun of leveling is back!
Working on: Engineer
Each class has 5 lines, so I’d just number them.
Eg.
Ranger A has Marksmanship, Skirmishing, Beast Mastery, so they’re a 1-2-5 Ranger.
Ranger B has Skirmishing, Nature Magic, Beast Mastery, so they’re a 2-4-5 Ranger.
When Elite specs come in, which takes away 1 choice from 3, it becomes
2-4 Druid
1-3 Druid
Working on: Engineer
I don’t like jumping puzzles, so I would like a way to avoid having JPs as a required daily.
