Stick with account bound please.

But the first rule of fight club !!
I’m all for fight clubs in the capital cities, like how The Secret World does it. It does add some character to the cities, unlike going to an instanced PVP area. I think PVPVE would be better served by WvW improvements.

The Revenant’s lore and look doesn’t interest me, so I’ll keep using those level up scrolls and whatnot on my other existing lowbies.

You can always rebind your keys to something more comfortable, so that you won’t have to stretch your hands to reach the 6-7-8-9-10 keys
Working on: Engineer
It’s my primary weapon for AOE tagging in a PVE zerg.
Working on: Engineer
Maybe something that lasts for 3-5s, and causes 1-2 stacks of Torment and Vulnerability per pulse? Cooldown 45sec?
Working on: Engineer
Yes.

Working on: Engineer
I always mainly loved Rangers/Hunters
There’s your answer
Working on: Engineer
Profit of 1100 G! That’s almost 7333 Gems, by current rates. Wow…
Working on: Engineer
MH Pistol for me
Working on: Engineer
Definitely like this idea! More combo fields, more finishers, all through our pets!
Working on: Engineer
I feel that the bell curve of 2d6 fits the feel of GW2 more than the equal chance of d20. As a point of reference, you could consider looking at the Iron Kingdoms RPG system. It does 2d6 quite well.
Working on: Engineer
GW2 is generally balanced around melee weapons doing more damage than ranged, because ranged players tend to face less risk than melee. But playing ranged is definitely still an option for us.
Working on: Engineer
I would prefer they just make pets take less damage from AOE in PVE environments.
Working on: Engineer
Of course! Only question is for how much. I’ll wait for a sale if I must. There are other games out there that I can play in the meantime.
Working on: Engineer
Most played is definitely Ranger. But how desirable they are in different game modes is another story.
Working on: Engineer
I play a Ranger
Working on: Engineer
As a tabletop RPG collector, I would definitely get a copy of any tabletop translation of GW2.
Not sure if I’d play it though. My friends have lost interest in GW2 and I’m not invested in GW2 lore.
Working on: Engineer
Guardian would be the closest.
Working on: Engineer
Sounds like you might like playing the Ranger.
Working on: Engineer
Ranger, because that’s my favourite class

UNLOCKING TRAITS
Before:
- Start leveling and get new stuff to make your build better (with 3 tiny payments) straight away. Do what you want and enjoy the aspects of the game you like! It doesn’t matter if it’s your 1st or 64th character, you simply play!
Now:
- After the Trait improvement, grind all over the world (including WvW) with each and every character doing the same stuff over and over again. Or pay tons of money with gold and skillpoints (which you have to collect and which have gold value) to unlock it for each and every character.
So much this. I really hate this change to the traits system.

Most of the GW2 podcasts podfaded (ie. died). The two ongoing ones that I subscribe to are:
Guild Wars Reporter

Relics of Orr

Thanks for the update, looking forward to the next AttK episode!

I suggest Ranger, but that’s because it’s my favourite class.
Working on: Engineer
I remember leaving because i logged in and didn’t know what to do, i was getting bored, and i didn’t liked too much the fact that the most important thing were costumes and how kitten your sword looked, and i’m not expecting that to change.
I don’t think anything has changed since you left in this regard.
Working on: Engineer
Because I love being a Ranger, it’s my favourite fantasy archetype.
Working on: Engineer
The main storyline has intentional level gaps. You cannot play through just the story alone. Best advice is to play other things until you hit the required level, then do the story again.
Working on: Engineer
In addition, I would greatly appreciate an option to lower or switch off all the spell effects. Would help greatly in zergs.

BUT, all of the SOAC podcasts, for the most part, average around 500 views on youtube, which is really only surpassed by people like MattVisual and WoodenPotatoes, aka, people that already had a good youtube following to begin with.
I listen to the podcast whenever they are available on iTunes, because it’s much easier to do so when commuting. Keep up the great job JCBroe and Durzzla

I have only 1 class at 80, my Ranger. I chose Ranger because he’s the Ranger, therefore superior to other classes, in my eyes.
Also, once I got to 80, I got very sick of GW2. Hence no other 80s.

Short answer: Yes.

A lot of SEA players are on Crystal Desert.

I tend to swap my pets around based on current F2 needs.

Name: Funkyus Maxymus
Server: Crystal Desert
Chill-pilling gameplay
Working on: Engineer
Is ok, thanks for trying
Working on: Engineer
I totally agree about the fuster cluck of special effects on screen. It’s like GW2 wants to be Final Fantasy, and even FFXIV allows the user to tone down or remove the special effects for better clarity.
Also, I don’t enjoy leveling now, the lack of trait points gained per level made it feel rather lacking.
Working on: Engineer
IGN: Minae Von Mastelada
Server: Crystal Desert
Area: Still leveling, just dinged 31 recently
Role: I’m still leveling, danggit~
Time: Usually an hour every other day on weeknights, GMT+8
Working on: Engineer
Ranger is fun, what’s there to question?
Working on: Engineer
I would recommend Ranger.
Working on: Engineer
New races: don’t care. They don’t have anything interesting to bring story-wise anyway.
New profession: a 3rd heavy to make it 3-3-3.
But most of all, I’d like more weapon options opened to all professions.
Working on: Engineer
Personally, I like the “b2p + DLC” model best, the one used by The Secret World.
Devs get some money, I don’t feel pressured with a monthly sub.
When they release a juicy content update, they can charge some money for it. For all other cosmetic and convenience thingies, players can go through the cash shop.
It’s cheaper than a sub, but more stable income than a pure f2p.
Working on: Engineer
Ranger, Warrior, Guardian, Necromancer.
These 4 are generally easier to learn GW2’s combat system with.
Working on: Engineer
As a Dagger/Dagger, you’re a frontliner. You have to know when/how to dodge, on top of constantly swapping between your different elements and using your utilities. Don’t think of yourself as a traditional stand-back-and-cast magic user, think of yourself as a lightly armoured rogue with magical abilities.
Working on: Engineer
Let’s try again.
In guild wars 2, what criteria do you use to determine a good profession for yourself?
Which fantasy archetype(s) do you like?
Personally, I love all things ranger (Ranger profession), and I also love being the stylish fighter-caster (Mesmer profession). After that, I also enjoy burning everything to bits with a huge sword (Guardian profession).
So, which fantasy archetype(s) do you like?
Working on: Engineer
Ranger sword must be the most horrible weapon in all of guildwars the way it
movesroots your character. It looks flashy but is absolute trash.
You have to know what it’s doing. It’s giving you the equivalent of many many small free dodges, while doing good damage at the same time. Sword 1 saves lives in a messy melee.
Working on: Engineer
How is being glued to the ground is “graceful”? Talking about sword 1.
When you see that sword 1 keeps you alive despite getting swarmed, while simultaneously dishing out sweet sweet damage (assuming you’re geared for Power), you will love it too.
Working on: Engineer
Report the undesirables!!
Working on: Engineer
I prefer them having only 1 server in the entire world.
