ArenaNet i dare You, i kitty dare You…do not nerf it. At least this kitten needs the guild cooperation, finally some challenging content, keep it up. Whiners can whine and cry in the corner room. Heroes and challengers stand up, get Your sword and do not give up!
DONT NERF IT people just need to know tactics and having a world boss that can fail is somthink new and awesome ;P
Also kittening dragon world bosses are supposed to be kitten all strong. Not just stand around and slap him till he dies with no repercussions.
Want your loots put your big boy/girl pants on and actually fight.
Let’s learn it first. I’m sure in a week or so, people will be saying it’s too easy -__-
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”
OMG can’t beat world boss first try…it must be too hard. I hope all servers wipe on the new Tequatl for a week before we all figure out how to coordinate what is required. No more spamming 1 skill while i pay attention to something else other than the game. Thank you!
Are You on RoF? Because the same happened to us.
Underworld. But if RoF is EU the nwe might have been in the same overflow
Let’s complain about the difficulty 20 minutes after the update!!!!!!!!11one!1.
No.
Give people a chance to learn the fight before you start complaining.
I didn’t expect to succeed, however managing to only get 5% of his health off with a huge amount of people, fighting for 15 minutes (and yes there were people on turrets) I don’t think that the difficulty is right.
It isn’t? Have you been paying attention to the fight at all? He gains stacks of armor. People on the turrets needs to remove this but most people on the turrets had no idea what they were doing.
It’s really stupid to complain about something that was released 20 minutes ago when 99,999999% of the players in your map had no kittening idea what they were doing. They will learn and then the fight will be much easier.
Let’s complain about the difficulty 20 minutes after the update!!!!!!!!11one!1.
No.

So, 20 minutes after the update, all I see is people complaining. Complaining. COMPLAINING.
Look, people. It’s hard. IT’S. HARD. But this is the first time we’ve fought him. We will get better; I promise. It takes time to get better at something, you know?
We got a massive, epic upgrade to Teq. And it’s awesome. The only thing that really stopped everyone was the trolls on the turrets; who were either AFK or just not doing anything at all.
I mean, come on. This felt more epic than the Zhaitan fight. :P
VERY VERY happy with this fight… I was so worried it would be faceroll.
Frankly zerker builds are 90% pointless in this fight and support/aoe and general utility builds will be far more important.
Can’t wait to do this again when people are trying harder and getting a better idea of the mechanics.
Stupid people on turrets and people just rushing to do the same thing that they always did were what stopped my overflow from getting past 90%… This will change and players will learn.
if you have a life, it is not so epic waste time when the event fails.
Oh, please. Whenever any MMO has hard content, people pull out the ‘I have a life’ card. No. Stop. This content’s difficulty and how much of ‘a life’ you have have no connection. Stop complaining and learn the fight, please.
Thank you for bringing a real epic fight to the game! I can see the huge potential of how people will have to work cooperatively and strategize to win this battle, as opposed to just deal damage.
We didn’t win on SBI’s first try, and sadly, there are some that are already complaining it’s unbeatable (which is pretty funny when they’ve tried it all of one time) but I am sure we will get there, we just need to learn to work TOGETHER!
Thank you for all the hard work that obviously went into this!
Hey everyone,
With Tuesday’s release we are gearing up to launch the new Looking For Group tool for Guild Wars 2. As the system comes online, our primary focus is with the quality and the stability. To ensure a solid rollout, we’ll turn on the LFG tool in beta form to a subset of players. As the week goes on, we’ll periodically unlock the system to additional groups of players.
In Tuesday’s release notes, you’ll see the complete list of what the feature will do once we’ve fully unlocked the system. However, during the beta rollout not everyone will be able to use the LFG tool and the World vs. World subcategories will be disabled.
The Looking for Group feature has been highly requested and we’re excited to be this close to its final release, but quality is paramount. Therefore, we ask for your patience and understanding while we work through this phased beta rollout and with any problems we encounter.
Thanks,
Mike Zadorojny
& the Looking For Group team

Because there is no way to distinguish what server you are on, many guilds will pass over your thread simply because they don’t have time to read through them all. Make sure you post your server name or acronym (like Fort Aspenwood would be FA) and the type of guild you’re looking for ((if you want to do both PvE content and some PvP, for instance, you’re looking for a PvX guild) INSIDE of your thread topic.
So this might look like:
“Returning Player looking for PvX guild on FA”
Help us find you by being as specific as possible! I guarantee you’ll get better results this way. If you have any advice to help people find a good guild, please feel free to post here.
Hope this helps, and good luck as you search for a gaming community.

I’d like to say that I LOVE this idea!!!! This will help clean up my bank (in which I was nearly about to purchase another tab). I also love the fact that I can share my gold and karma easily now. I hated having to run to the Bank or switch toons, deposit, switch back, and withdraw. Not to mention the zoning in and out to get to banks to achieve that feat.
I don’t understand the negative backlash for the gold though. I’ve never ONCE made a mistake of making a purchase. Should ANET be responsible for putting up safeguards because people aren’t paying attention themselves? I don’t think so. I hear the argument that lag or bugs can help cause a mistake and to me, that is the only logical and real argument to make.
I can’t wait for Tuesday and this update. How long until the LFG tool?

Anet can’t seem to win….
Ugh, get rid of the confirmation for buying everything, it’s so tedious when you want to buy multiples.
Oh no, what if I accidentally buy too many/the wrong thing. Put confirmation buttons in.
Personally I love the update, the wallet and everything they’re doing in the upcoming update. This is a much needed update and I hope that we’ll get the seasonal/event currencies added too eventually.
This only applies to the Crystal Desert world, I’m not going to go world guesting for this (because aside from being insanely troublesome there’s also a limit to how many worlds I can guest). Conversely, if you’re from another North American world you can call on my support by guesting Crystal Desert.
Essentially, I’ve found that, perhaps oddly enough, one of the things that is most enjoyable for me is to help others with their stuff. And I’m not really the kind who goes around every map advertising help so…
If you need help with anything, just ask if you see me online. Ingame, mind, I don’t monitor my message inbox on the forum. Send a whisper or something along those lines and let me know what you need. As a mesmer I can do extremely cheapskate things like complete jump quest portions (or entire jump quests) and vistas by portalling to the end. As one of the stronger mesmer soloists around I can also generally help to take down almost any opponent should you need that for a quest – this is probably more relevant for Personal Story quests since in most of the map cases there should already be a few players around you to help even before you ask for it.
Of course, if I don’t respond to the whisper even though I’m online, I could be:
- In World vs World
- In a Fractal
- In a Dungeon
- Already helping someone else
- Otherwise extremely busy such that I’m not available
- Away From Keyboard
In all of those cases I won’t be able to help you out.
And also bear in mind that I can’t help you optimise your build because I haven’t played any other classes yet – and even for other mesmers your style of play may vary enough from mine that I may not be able to give you any useful advice. That is something you will have to learn for yourself.
Otherwise, I’ll see what I can do to help you out – which can range from information on how you can solve the problem yourself to direct assistance. I’m in the process of unlocking the map now so at first there may be initial delays in getting to locations, but after a while I should be able to get to most waypoints in less than a minute.
There may be cases where I can’t help, in which case I will let you know. But you do not lose anything for asking.
Just leaving this as an open invitation to forum users who may be new to the game. This service is free – it’s just something I’m doing because I find I like to do it, and it’ll add a bit more meaning to my endgame experience over only grinding for a Legendary, WvWvW, Fractals or Dungeons (which I also do). Somehow, it feels meaningless to me to only talk about helping NPCs all the time and earning ingame ‘Karma’ for it without also helping real people as well.
My avatar name ingame is Mikazuki Aura.
If by PvP you mean WvW, then go with a thief and don’t waste your time on any other class.
I’m sorry this line is getting old now, there are multiple ways to deal with thief’s and stealth (and i am not talking about the traps).
it’s a tough choice but i would say an elementalist would tip the scales and give you m,ore variety in game play.
that being said a lot of my friends swear by the ranger.

My favorite dungeon, we run it daily with the guild.
As to why it’s not played much on gw2lfg, I can’t say, probably because you can’t dodge while 100b.
and why would u even bother with coe in 2013?
because
a) challenge is good
b) armor of CoE is not worn by everyone like armor from CoF
c) pretty skins and good training for arah
I already said 1UP but I didn’t give a lot of reasoning with it.
I said 1UP because of two things:
- I really like the content. I’m a sucker for old school games.
- I pitty that new players coming into the game will not experience it if it weren’t here to stay.
The last point is also my counter argument to those saying “you will grow bored of it”.
Point being it’s not always about oneself. With an MMO there’s always gonna be an influx of new players.
