One of the most painful lack-of-QoL for necromancers is that my minions don’t heal at all, ever. For the little horrors, I completely understand that for gameplay.

It would be great if my health-stealing minion, and other “press button, get minion” things, would at least recover health out of combat. Right now I have to spend a lot of time checking if they need to be replaced, so I don’t get a surprise “start fight, minions all die” at the wrong time.

Since there isn’t a way to dismiss them, it’s also really hard to do something about that for all the utility skill minions other than heal — you can pop the healer, wait 15 seconds, and get full health, but there is no way to do that for my others.

If we could allow either (a) them to be healed during combat, or at least (b) heal like a player when out of combat, that would be a huge thing. It also seems like it wouldn’t reintroduce any huge balance problems — at least for the out-of-combat bit?

We need some serious terrain fix to prevent “no invalid path to target” when using ex: infiltrator arrow and blink.

Right click option “use” and “Consume all” should work in bank tab and bank interface inventory

• Besides my home instance being just another part of the daily rotation, why don’t we try to make it more of a home, like the player’s personal space? Let us customize it a bit, let us buy upgrades with our gold in it, or our supplies even, similar to the way the guild hall works, but on a smaller scale.
• The achievement suggestions in our hero window always suggest achievements that I’d never do, I don’t step foot in WvW, is there a way you guys could add something to allow me to choose a pool of achievements it could suggest, like PvE or PvP, or even Living Story?
• What’s cool about legendary weapons is you can swap stats any time you like. What’s not cool is having to apply sigils left and right on them, they are called legendary, but I guess that’s just for the effect maybe? Why can’t we swap sigils too? After the amount of work that goes into one, I think you should consider it.
• More farmable areas that give decent loot. I know you guys and gals at Arenanet are solely against people making gold playing your game, but it gives people incentive to “keep” playing if you allow them ways to make their own fortune. Raptor & Vaettir farming in GW1, UW, FoW, Kathandrax. Make the game about something more than just dailies for crying out loud. We can do our Raid content once per week, now we are done, now what? Daily content is done, now what? That took all of an hour maybe, provide us a freaking means to farm beyond that monotonous entity that is silverwastes or any other meta map for that matter, give us the means to make money in game.
• Build Saving and Weapon Sets – a great idea you had in GW1, why can’t we have it here? It was a fantastic idea, and I’m sure people could really love it. Want to load up that build for raiding VG? Not a problem, done. Need the weapon set for it? No problem just switch over to weapon set #2 and you are good to go. It would be so insanely helpful to be able to have these two functions back in the guild wars genre.
• Create more craftable boons and buffs, again comparing to GW1 here, you had consumables, which could stack in various forms, remember rock candy? I do. Consets? I do, allow people to use those resources that are just getting wasted on nothingness right now, on stuff like that, that’ll stabilize the market and give people something to joyfully work towards as well as utilize an important item which can be used for raiding or dungeons.
• Let’s talk about dungeons and FotM. I like FotM where it is, it’s great, it’s fun, it gives decent loot, let’s stop changing it now, it needs no further adjustments, it’s had more changes to it than the NYSE on a Monday afternoon. Dungeons on the other hand, make them fun again, back in GW1 you didn’t farm dungeons to get a lot of money, they were just down right fun, a blast on some of them, and you could do them with “consumable sets” at alarming fast rates, that’d revive them a bit and still keep your gold cap in place.
• Toggable Hard mode, please, I beg of you, add some challenge to the game, the once weekly raiding is hardly a taste of anything. Make things more difficult, I get bored with the “craft dailies, pew pew on a couple of mobs you are entirely overpowered for, log out, good game you have a legendary now”, it’s ‘almost’ that easy.
• And with Hard Mode comes my last suggestion, add some freaking aggro mechanics to the game already, it gets boring when a mob stops chasing you after 10 yards, again hard mode could fix that as well, but I know you’ll consider it, thank you

Well, playing other races’ Personal Story (at least the first 3 arcs, or so) might help. Reading ‘Movement of the World’ might help, as well. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Movement_of_the_World

Watching the in-game synopsis of Season One, or the player-created video of Season One might help.

Playing through Season Two would help you get ready for Heart of Thorns.

Playing the previous Campaigns, or at least reading the stories in the Guild Wars Wiki might, again, help.

The story(ies) of Tyria have been, and are being told, over these last 10 years plus.

Good luck.

I can’t finish this character theme without the bunny ears and I would love to see their return!

I hope you play a Norn male.

Also.. I don’t think they should pander to players wishes like so.
Rare items are RARE due to game updates such as removing item availability from the game.
If i had some items from launch which wasn’t available in game anymore, and someone cried on a forum about it, and it became possible to buy for gems, i would be royally kittened..
But hey, that’s just me

So you need a rare item to feel like special snowflake? How wonderful.

How about let people have a chance of obtaining items that havent been around for a while or havent been around ingame since they started playing, but really wanted to buy recently? (For me its the Incarnate armor set for instance) This mindset among some players, that only they should own certain items, cause they were lucky to be around when the said items were available really should just stop.

And just a wake up call for you – if there is enough interest in certain item and enough people willing to buy it, it will return eventually, no matter how much you desire to remain special for owning it, mate.

Back on topic – I would really love to see the Incarnate Light armor and Aetherblade sets return. Been waiting for them for a while now.

Please make all items glider/backpack combos. It is really sad to see awesome glider skins that aren’t given a backpack option. Let us have the choice to wear it as both a backpack and glider or just as glider. Hard to justify spending the money on just a glider skin.

Also, make items with the ability to be worn WITH outfits. What is the point of having individual skins you can’t add to an outfit?

Thanks!

Ghosts of Ascalon is probably the best reference: it takes roughly a day for the group to get from Ebonhawke to the southern part of Plains of Ashford, then roughly another day to get to Ascalon City itself. This suggests that the distance between Ebonhawke and Ascalon City is no more than 60 miles, probably less.

They set up camp three times. Once before hitting the Dragonbrand (Killeen still alive), once with the charr, and once right outside Ascalon City. They arrived in Ebonhawke in the middle of the night but iirc they left at dawn (I’d have to re-read), and there could have been times they camped which didn’t get brought up too.

But the time from Ebonhawke to Ascalon City, while avoiding charr patrols for half the route (particularly from Ebonhawke to the Dragonbrand – over a day’s journey, and with canyons in-between the two that don’t exist in the game), took at least 3 days and 2 nights (they made it on the third day, but camped for a third night because ghosts are worse at night).

So it wasn’t two days, but at minimum three (iirc, there is a line that implies more time/days passed than shown from when Killeen died and they encountered the charr). Mind you, they would have had to make stops for half to two-thirds of the journey.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

After all this years there are still a few questions i need answer to, to get at peace with GW2 (one of them i even asked the PR-Department per e-mail, and never got an answer):

- After the Death of the Great Destroyer Ogden said something like: “…..This is an other story, of the children of the heroes…”, but yet only the other races (beside the Shylvari who weren´t there) have Monuments of their great heroes (Jora, Vekk/Oola, Pyre…) and in Divinity Reach their is nothing Remembering the Fulfilling of the Flameseeker-Prophecy and the victory over the White mantle or the defeat of Abbadon (beside the Stature of Kormir) but the Queen get worshiped like a Half-God. and so we come to the second part of this Question: IF there IS ANY connection between the heroes of the old and the new ones WHY:
+ the human ones are either just: low Nobles /normal peasants/beggars while the
grand grand grand son of GWEN is the commander of the Queens personal
guard (and quite high in nobility)
+ the Charr ones getting discriminated by some low crew chief
(now the more logical once)
+ the Norn and/or Asura ones never hear a comparison with their ancestors

- (the question that was never answered) why the profession of monk simply perished but their skills got scattered across 2 or 3 other professions (and the turnback of the gods is a pretty week excuse since this skills still work, and their are people like this specific Priestess of Grenth who can still summon Spirits from the Underworld by calling out his name) (same is for some Paragon or Assassin skills who made their way into the new class-system despite the fact that the connection with Elona and Cantha has been lost)

- and Yeah, that makes a good additional question: why even have the gods abandoned humanity after they ensured close to the end of Nightfall that they will be always around as their “compassion/Strength/Justice/Inspiration/harmony” AND creating a new goddess

Took me 4 years to finish the personal story for the first time. I’m only about half way through LW S2. I missed pretty well all of LW S1, despite owning the game the whole time. I’m sure I’ll get around to LW S3 eventually. You tell me, how important is the story to me.

(It’s OK, but not particularly compelling to this here adult. The voice over zoom in thing really made it nice to watch though, so I am sad that feature isn’t used much anymore)

Boy do I have a video for you then.
I’ve made video called “Guild Wars 2 – The Complete Season 1 Movie” and it’s 3hours and 20min. It has ALL the cutscenes, dailogues and Lore Narration from the start-to-finish of the storyline. I recommend you check it out before you continue playing S2 because S2 Continues from S1. =) enjoy!

I find I am enjoying playing living world as it happens more than after-the-fact. LS2 was pretty terrible for me. I just wanted to get it over with. And I’m not sure if it’s just that LS3 is better or that it’s current and I’m doing it as each episode is released rather than going through the entire thing back-to-back.

I also enjoyed the personal storyline more. Perhaps because it releases every 10 levels so I’m not trying to do it all at once? I’m honestly not sure. I can’t say any particular story is better or worse than the others. I do have my preferences for characters, though (Taimi is the best, honorable mention to Tybalt, and a nut-punch to Broham in LS3!). And some boss battles are better than others. For instance, Zhaitan was pretty lame and Mordremoth was just boring while LS3 boss battles keep me on my toes more.

TBF, I love this game because it has such a complex and serious storyline, but can still manage to put in some realistic comedy relief

I’m very much into the story and lore, for GW1/GW2 and other games. For me, a story line that I can get into is a major factor in whether or not I enjoy a game. However, not everyone feels that way, and GW2 is very easy to play without ever really paying attention to the story.

I love the story. And, I like how the storyline missions interact with locations and events in the main world.

I’m working my way through all of the storyline missions, and I’m amazed at how they work together. But, if one doesn’t play several of them, one wouldn’t see it.

For instance, for Charr you have Blood, Iron, and Ash Legions you can choose. You still get Rytlock for a friend, but he speaks differently to you if you’re not Blood like him.

And, when you first choose an order, it’s not hard at all to imagine yourself as three characters, if you’ve seen all three missions.

So, I’m big into story. (I just wish there was an achievement for going through the missions, so I wouldn’t have to track it in a spreadsheet.)

Hey guys!

Is there a tiny chance we will see the sunglasses return to the gemstore? Because I badly need them! Whether they be sports or inventor sunglasses, I don’t care, but they would be ultimate for my charr engineers look!

Let’s start a petition to bring sunglasses back to the game! I’m pretty sure it is not just me wanting them back.

Edit: ANet gave me sunglasses, now I’ll give them my money. Thanks ANet

Could you add a purchasable account upgrade that allows access to the self-style hair kit and/or total makeover kit options to the character creator? This would be different from the Permanent Self-Style Hair Kit in that it would be limited to the character creator, and would not allow changing characters that are already created.

In-depth reasoning below:

I’m really picky about the way my characters look and because of this I am a bit of a serial character creator/deleter. In my ideal world, I’m able to make characters, play them to decide if I like the way they look and either keep or delete them based on whether I like them well enough.

Because I love the makeover kits and the options they have, I often find myself designing characters around the options in the makeover kit. But because I know there is a possibility that I might end up changing my mind about them once I run around in game for awhile, I can’t justify buying makeover kits for characters that might get the ax. Also, as much as I love GW, I can’t justify dropping $200+/4000-ish gems (as of this posting) on a permanent self-style hair kit or playing the black lion chest lottery in the hopes of getting one.

So I’d love to be able to just buy an account upgrade that adds the makeover kit options to the character creation menu. I’d still be willing to pay for the self-style hair kit/total makeover kit for the characters I already have or if I decide that I need to change a character later on down the line.

Can we get a library in our home instance? A place to store all the books that we’re getting? From all the way back to Marjory’s intro (remember how suave she was? ^^) to the latest letters from E, my inventory is getting bogged down with these interesting yet otherwise useless items.
I’m not saying don’t keep doing them, but can we get a place at home or our hero tab to store them?
