I like underwater combat. I don’t think they should remove it, so no, thank you.

I just read on the GW2 wiki I can’t even get this set through SPVP now because it’s now unobtainable for some reason. This armor was supposed to be in the game at launch and was in the beta when I played it several times. I have been very busy working on my legendary and had no idea that this armor skin was going to be made completely unobtainable in every way shape or form. I and im sure many others would like to have this set please add it back to the game and or in pve from a karma vendor or something. I want this set on my Clothies and would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on why it’s not in the game anymore ?

Edit: I realize it WAS in Spvp, but I keep hearing you can not get it at all period anymore, Which if I did do SPVP it was going to be specifically for this armor set. I guess now I have one less reason to do SPVP.

[Suggestion] Lore system?

Even wildstar has it. And I hate that game. I hate everything about it.
Yet I play it – only because it has lore system.

I wonder, are there really so few players out there who enjoy exploring the world and finding lore, and reading it? Because I did search on ‘lore’ in this forum and came up nada (maybe the search is just bad).

Anyway, lore system – would also provide a way to get those short stories into the game, more achievements, more reasons to explore the map; would just add more depth (on the lore side) to the game and make all of us explorer bartle types out there oh so happy. (or at least me)

Pretty please?

Allright. Here is my jab at an expansion I’d personally like to see. Part 1

War of the Branded

An elder Dragon has awoken. Scarlet Briars disturbance of the Leylines stirred an ancient beast from its slumber. The races of Tyria are still licking their wounds from their battle against the renegade Sylvari – and Trahearne and the Pact is gathering Allies and Intel once Again to face of against the presumed threat of an Elder Dragon. However this time a single frontline might not be the case. When the sole survivor of an Order of Whispers scouting party reports that the branded are amassing in the Crystal Desert the pact hires the band of heroes who stopped Scarlet to investigate. But the branded are not the only concern. In Divinity’s Reach a Group calling themselves “The Gaze of Lyssa” is gaining popularity among the nobles, and the Ebonhawke scouts reports of hooded figures in Elonian armor. Soon the heroes of Tyria will learn that allies can be found among even the most unlikely of beings.

Features:

  • New regions:* Northern Crystal Desert (3 Zones), Dzalana Wastelands (4 Zones – including Scarred startingzone and capital) and The Verdant Forest (2 Zones)
  • New Race: Scarred* – Human-race with traces of Elder Dragon corruption.

    - In the Dzalana Wastelands the Scarred roam the rocky and sandy terrain in hunt of any who would hunt them in return. The Scarred are the descendants of the followers and armies of the legendary Turai Ossa who fought the Undead Lord Palawa Joko years ago . From their major base of operations, Drohkeep, built into a series of caves in Dzalana, they fight the Branded minions of Kralkatorrik and Palawa Jokos undead alike. Caring Little for the calculations and fears of the other races – the Scarred saw oppertunity and power in the Elder Dragons. Power they could use to fight their hated undead enemy. Even though the human god Kormir was once their countryman, The Scarred feel neglected and abandonded by the gods and have taken the otherworldly powers of the Elder Dragons for themselves – abandoning a part of their humanity. Through ritualistic rites called simply Qasam when coming of age, the Scarred humans have learned to imbue themselves with draconic powers, giving them otherworldly traits such as resistance to the undead, and crystallized limbs. With the awakening of a new Elder Dragon – the former inhabitants of Elona – now The Scarred – see just another source of power to use as a tool in their vengeance.

Personal Story Elements;

Like all of my people – I go through The Qasam. Like my brothers and sisters I endured the touch of the dragons. I endured them all, but my body bears the mark of……
- Zhaitan
- Kralkatorrik
- Primordus

My people fight to survive. We are compassionate to family, kind to friends and deadly to our enemies. I know vengeance. I know hate. My enemies will feel both, but of all my enemies those I hate the most are….

- The Undead
- The Betrayers
- The Gods

To be continued…

Far Shiverpeaks – EU – Ragnarok of Primordus

Why don't we have more GW1 skins?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Harper.4173

Harper.4173

So – it’s been well over a year since the game launched. Over one year and a half.

When the game launched I was fairly certain we’d have a lot of the old GW1 skins that we loved. The addition of primeval, krytan and profane made me think that these skins weren’t far away but it’s been very long now and we’ve seen no new skins brought over.

The question that pops to mind and won’t go away is : why?

I doubt it would be very difficult from a technical point of view to bring them into the game.
I also doubt they would not sell easily since a lot of them looked very awesome and a lot of GW1 players feel nostalgic about them.

Given that we’ve gone so long in the game without them I almost feel that they’re not being brought over intentionally and I really can’t seem to understand why.
What would they have to lose? The way I see it it would be a gain for both the player and the devs if they brought these skins in the gem store instead of the sad jokes we have now.

I mean – just compare:

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Elite_Templar
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Warrior_Elite_Platemail_armor

with :
http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/gw2-rampart-heavy-armor-skin-sylvari-male.jpg

The difference is obvious. The first two actually look like cool heavy armor while the last one looks like somebody who’d be seen fighting the power rangers.

So – what gives?

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

Let see-
Name- Guild Wars 2: Utopia (yes I’m taking it from their abandon GW expansion idea) or Hunt

Plot- Continue where Guild Wars 2 had left on as you continue the hunt for the rest of the elder dragons!

Story- Pick your own story path (for real and no Trahearne!) as you can choose to slayed any dragon in any order and the story will adjust to your piroty.

Features-

New region-
Tackling Jormag will take you further up North to the Far Shiverpeak.
Hunt down Kralkatorrik in the crsytal desert.
Venture deep underground as you rout out Primordus.
Explored Magus Falls as you try to seek out Mordremoth
Wait there’s more! The path to Elona and Cantha has been open! Investigate what had happened to those region after the rise of the dragons?
The personal stories that your character take will also continue aswell.

The lesser races are no longer less!, Played any of the lesser races- Koda, Tengu, Skritt, Quaggan Grawl or Ogre or Hylek.

New professions- Either a Ritualist like class, Chronomancer, Summoner (two abandon classes in GW Utopia) or a new heavy armour class.

New Dungeon- Quora Sum (Asura lost city underground), Eye of the North (I mean is there anything undernearth or above it seeing how the Ebon Vanguard did used to lived there) and more!

New Pvp and WvWvW maps!

The great problem with Megaservers in EU… there is no one language.
There is spanish, french, german… and so on.

The idea is perfect but not in EU, i think.
The players harass each other for her language… wow.
They speak only in french, spanish or german.

Please split the megaserversystem in EU into language specific parts.
French Servers > French Megaserver
Spanish Serves > Spanish Megaserver
Or delete the single Servers… but please… change it. ~_~

New armour . . .

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Faowri.4159

Faowri.4159

. . . Same old tiresome gender discrepancies.

This is not the same armour as this. Yet again, male scholars are stuck with another dull-looking full robe while the female scholars get their bits out.

I’m not saying armour can’t be skimpy. I’m not saying it has to be practical. I’m saying can they at least look like they belong to the same set? Can they at least be equally skimpy on both genders because there’s a dismal lack of skimpy armour for guys?

Problem: Armour diversity and choice is sometimes arbitrarily restricted by character sex.

Suggestion: For future armour sets, keep the following design maxims in mind:

1) The armour set should look aesthetically very similar on both character genders. Minor detail changes are okay, but as an overall rule of thumb, they should look like they belong to same armour set. Key defining features of the armour set should be present on both versions (e.g. if there’s a particular motif, or mantle design, or design shape/flow/pattern going on). If there has to be variation, it would probably be much more appropriate for it to be based on race, because the charr get short-changed so often with humanoid armour basically just stretched to fit them.

2) The armour set should not be more revealing on one gender than it is on the other. Revealing armour is okay. Showing flesh is okay. But keep it generally equalised.

If the concept/design with one armour set for one gender becomes divergent from the other gender’s version based on these two design maxims, split them into separate armour sets. This could mean keeping the variant aside for later release as a separate armour set, or introducing armour set variants in some way, shape or form (discussion on which is welcome).

Why this is important:

  • Aesthetic consistency
  • Ensuring that players aren’t locked out of armour they might have wanted because it is arbitrarily only available to certain genders
  • Ensuring that players don’t feel they have to play a certain race or character sex in order to achieve the non-sex/race-related aesthetic they want for that character
  • Avoiding player disappointment when they see one gender’s version of an armour, based on preview pics and marketing and armour icons, but discover they can’t have it on their character because their character is not a man/woman/ or is a male-armour-by-default race.
  • Reduce confusion/improve consistency around the male-armour-by-default races, who have in the past been given gendered town clothes for arbitrary reasons, but then only get male armour in other cases, etc. . .
  • Given that most revealing armour falls on the female version of a particular set so far, this would also open up a lot more diversity in available male armours, for players who want their boys to be wearing something less restrictive.

For more info/analysis of examples, see my original suggestions thread.

Please. Your gemstore armour offerings are boring me to tears. Give us something different. Convince me to part with my cash.

“Boss chests in dungeons are now limited to once a day. Champion loot bags and dungeon tokens from the bosses themselves will not be limited in this way.”

What problem did this fix? Why would you punish somebody (more) for being the fifth in a run to help their guildie fill out a dungeon run that they’ve already done once that reset cycle?

Because some players on this forum and likely in the game take it upon themselves to make it their business how other people play the game or make money. It apparently bothers them if you do it a certain way they do not want you to.

I assume it was, like many other things in this patch, meant to slow down the amount of gold players are making per day.

Positive Permanent Changes in season 2

in Living World

Posted by: Cross.6437

Cross.6437

There’s a decent amount of buzz still circulating about what people want to see in season two of the living story. There’s a lot of talk about fighting Mordremoth, new races, and new professions –all of which are very interesting yet still over-talked about.

Honestly, my expectations for season two are very macroscopic. All of the aforementioned things would be interesting and great, but what I want to see are new permanent, constructive additions to the world. Interpret that as you will: new maps, new buildings, new cities, ect. And I stress this a lot because if there was one largely overlooked aspect of the living story that that is this: the largest cosmetic changes to the maps since Flame and Frost have been matters of destruction.

When the toxic tower fell, we were left with debris and destruction. When the marionette was destroyed, we were left with debris and destruction. When the battle of Lion’s Arch was over, we were left with debris and destruction. I’m hoping you notice an emerging pattern here.

The world we’re left with is a lot darker and in the case of at least Lion’s Arch feels more empty than ever. Praise where praise is due, the developers and writers have done a good job at creating world-changing events. I absolutely want this to continue, and it necessarily must for the sake of meaningful conflict in the continuing plot of the Living Story.

However, for every decimated Lion’s Arch, we need something else of meaningful value created, another place of importance that we can revisit again and again as evidence of hope for the future of Tyria. If all we ever see is destruction, all we know is a world headed to its doom.

The Queen’s Pavilion stands out in my mind as one permanent act of construction we saw in this season. However, how often do you visit the pavilion? What is there to do? Chances are that unless you have a pass to use the crafting stations there, you will never have a reason to be there. This is not a meaningful change, this was merely covering up the great collapse with another –albeit fancier- hole.

I don’t need or even want a new map to be released with each Living Story arc. Some examples of things I might want to see as permanent, explorable developments could be things like keeping the Molten facility and converting it into a factory for building weapons for the pact, or keeping the tower of nightmares and converting it into a sylvari pet-project for revitalizing the land after being exposed to corruption (as a means of helping to aide in the process of revitalizing Orr), or actually having a permanent activity housed in the queen’s pavilion open to everyone. Or, even having the Bazaar of the four winds as a moving but permanent fixture would be nice.

Heck, some of these could even be reworked into new explorable dungeon paths. The process of converting the molten facility or repurposing the tower of nightmares in and of themselves could be a single-path explorable dungeon comparable to TA’s aetherblade path.

Regardless, that is my hope for next season. I want to see new permanent developments that showcase positive changes in Tyria. Either way, I’m looking forward to what comes next.

A living world also implies mimicking what we know about how humans do things. Seeing as how LA is primarily a human location.

What do humans do after their town is demolished by a flood, hurricane, or tornado. Even after the tenth time?

Rebuild.

In the same place.

The idea that the populace would just abandon LA is preposterous and unbelievable IMO. Having a long term rebuilding process in place, with certain areas being focused on to be returned to usefulness, although preferably not to an identical state as before, would make sense and be interesting to observe along the way.

It’s not like the terrain of LA is uninhabitable, it’s just a mess. So, perhaps a rebuilding of key areas, and (at least for the foreseeable future) a wave of the hand to other areas leaving them to become wilderness, complete with mobs and such, would be an interesting approach.

Dear Dev’s , please add some female skins for armor almost every available armour in the game for asurans is based off the male armor model, which leave bare chest and other bad choices for us female loving folks. Other classes all have a male and female variation but asuran is left out. These cute lil folks need more options, I hate having only male choice when it comes to armor. This seems like a lazy option from the cosmetic dev team, put them to work on behalf of all the females out there.

Assuming that the reconstruction of LA is guaranteed, and assuming that it would take a considerable amount of time…

Wouldn’t it be awesome if Anet allowed us to vote for how the future of LA would look like?

It would be just like Cutthroat politics again, with architect guilds/companies from all of Tyria competing for a chance to rebuild LA.
There two ways to go about this:
1.) Concept art of locations
Anet can release internal map concept art that shows different locations of important services, such as the bank, TP, and crafting stations. We would vote on the map layout which appeals the most to us

2.) Concept art of buildings
What kind of buildings should be constructed in LA? Should we stick with pirate ships and wood, or how about salvaging the remains from the breachmaker and turn it into something like Black Citadel? Or how about both?

Reganov.3569

I don’t know about you, but to me the place in the concept doesn’t look enough like Rata Sum to think it should be used for it. The Rata Sum concept art used looks like another city out in the Desert somewhere, the tree’s are different, the temperature is different and it has an almost chaotic layout for buildings, as if they’ve be slotted together as time goes on.- Rather than Rata Sums very balanced pre-determined placement. It feels like a different place. This does happen quite a bit with the concept art used in loading screens but this one was more extreme than others.

I dunno, I’m just being picky probably. But I really want to go to the place we see in that concept art!

Anet, if you read this, please consider another Asura city that looks like this in future content way down the track. Maybe in Maguuma Wastes, or Elona.

Anet forgot about GW1 players?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Smooth Penguin.5294

Smooth Penguin.5294

This is the first time I really had a major complaint about a release. Us long time Guild Wars fans played our hearts out in the original series. We paved the way for what evolved into a true MMO in Guild Wars 2. When the Hall of Monuments came out, and allowed us to save our exclusive weapons in it, some of us assumed that we’d be able to pass these weapons down to our ancestors in GW2. Fast forward to release day, we were disheartened to learn that wasn’t the case, and that all our efforts to fill our HoM only gave us Achievement Points (although the boost to 50 AP in each category was a nice gesture later on). So no Tormented weapons…

Then… today comes. And what do we see? Gem Store Tormented weapons. Say what??? The weapons we worked our butts off for aren’t exclusive anymore. New players to the GW series didn’t know just how hard it was to get these weapons. When the Domain of Anguish first came out, we had to grind grind grind in order to get enough Gemstone sets to trade for one. I remember fondly that my friends wanted to be the first ones to get an Armbrace, so we did a 16 hour run, from start to finish, to get the bonus gems for doing the entire 4-part raid run. Waking up at 2am in order to coordinate a run like this is pure dedication. The run took longer than it should because one of our tanks over-napped on the scheduled break at the midway point… To add, this was before we knew about mechanics and pull locations, so we suffered greatly trying to succeed. To further my rant, I was the only Heal Monk, so keeping everyone alive was a chore. Anyways, Torment, Margonite, Stygian, and Titan Gems. Those were our prize for working hard. By doing a 4-part run, we could trade our extra Titan Gems for the other cheaper ones with other players. All in all, we worked for our weapons. We earned them, and proudly showed them off in Kamadan. For a time, they were like Legendary weapons because they were so hard to get. Over time, they got cheaper due to duping scandals which made Armbraces more common, but that’s another story.

To me, the price of having to buy Tormented weapons with tickets, or from the TP isn’t the issue. I can afford to do so, so access to these skins aren’t the problem. What I do feel strongly for is that anyone can purchase these skins now. In my opinion, Anet should have kept these weapons as unique HoM skins for only those players who had them stored. Or, what they could have done is let players from GW1 have a better skinned version (like more glowy or something), and sell a lesser looking one on the Gem Store. I would have been fine with that.

With all this said, Anet needs to really consider their old school players. Bonus AP is nice, but give us something that we can have that Special Snowflake feel. 50/50 HoM took effort, and effort should be rewarded.

How important is Lore for you

in Lore

Posted by: Aaron Ansari.1604

Aaron Ansari.1604

I, personally, feel the lore and story of games are essential to my enjoyment. I play for the same reason that I read, or write- i want to get out of my world for a bit and into another. To me it seems like the people who don’t value the world must be masochists to put up with the grinding and the zerging without even the payoff of enjoying the context. I’m more happy sitting in the middle of a city for hours at a time soaking up the ambient dialogue than I am spending half an hour running the latest and shiniest content with a group.

That said, and it has been mentioned before, there’s a difference between lore and story, especially in an MMORPG. I understand you putting them together, because they are inextricably intertwined, and damage to one will hurt the other. But lore is what gives the player room and a structure to find their own niche in the world; story is what gives them cause to leave that niche and interact. And I think it’s in part because of how uncompelling the Living Story has felt that I’ve been so reluctant to leave my shell and let other players in on my experience of Tyria. I think that’s what Jski meant when he was talking about us insular GW1 players- it felt like a kick in the teeth when I logged in to this patch and (erroneously, I do admit) concluded that I had to stay with the group to get through the content, and I attribute that feeling to the setup that Lion’s Arch is just the grinding in between the story bits in the camp. To the Living World teams’ collective credit, they have gotten much better since the dark days of Sky Pirates of Tyria and the Bazaar of the Four Winds, and I am very interested in Season 2… but I think it’s a kitten shame that I can’t muster enthusiasm for the grand climax next week, and I regret that some of that early bad storytelling has not only put me and many others in this state of apathy, but it has also violated the lore that has been tiding me by until another good story comes around.

@Angel I too appreciate the time you took to chime in, but I think your explanation highlights one of the problems with the delivery, one that I haven’t really seen addressed yet. I’m sure you and the rest of the people involved in the content do sit down and reason that stuff out, figure out between yourselves how it would make sense, and how it could make sense, for things to change in Tyria… but that doesn’t reach the players. We’re just presented with the fact that things have changed, often without any word as to why, let alone a satisfactory explanation. I do get the fact that some things have to be kept close to your chest, in case you want to do some big reveal with them later, but surely you see that it needs be balanced against the pitfalls of this kind of damage control, months after the first impressions have seeded bitterness?

I love it when old threads are re-animated necro-style :P I would definitely say that I’ve got a good feeling that they have SOMETHING planned for this. It just doesn’t seem like them to throw out a thread like this without something behind it. I mean there are dozens of other monster types missing that have no mention whatsoever.

Hrm. I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade but I’ll have to take the blame for inflating this beyond what it is. At the time I was creating the content in Black Citadel, everyone was abuzz about waves of “mysterious” bird deaths and thinking it was a sign of something apocalyptic, when in every case the deaths were quite ordinary and not notable.

When I thought about the absence of gargoyles from the areas of Ascalon where they used to live in large numbers (which, as a player, is a detail I would have noticed), I wanted to say something about it, but without saying what actually happened to them. With the conversation on the scholar in the Black Citadel, I didn’t set out to answer that question as much as I wanted to explore how some people in Tyria, just as they do in real life, respond when presented with things in nature they don’t have an explanation for.

Gargoyles and Mergoyles have disappeared, and at least one person is looking into it. Whether we expand on that story in the future comes down to whether the story of their absence is interesting enough to be worth exploring, and fits in with other stories we want to tell.

Well for starters Sieran >>>>> Tybalt, and secondly, I’ve gotta agree with Konig, Canach will be the sylvari, he’s an EXTREMELY interesting sylvari, and he’s made multiple appearances in the living story, I feel like it’d be great if he joins.

And as much as I love Scarlet and how she is, I don’t want to see her become “redeemed” that’d be the dumbest thing ever imo and would ruin everything I like about her.

As for which one would go? It’d be Kasmeer, I don’t trust her, I still think she’s an enemy, she’s -too- ditzy, AND she’s a Mesmer, I feel like she’s up to something…

Exploring zones was the best part of GW1. Those little out of the way – places like Granite Citadel and The Falls were so fun to explore and find. Imagine going to Maguuma stade and finding someone else there, we’d strike a conversation on how we happened to go there at that particular time. (I started playing GTA V a while back and I haven’t gone far in the actual storyline, since exploring is so much fun.)

That’s why I’m so eager for them to open the world for us, I personally don’t need action, events, huge mobs to enjoy a zone. “something to do” and “achieving something” can mean different things to different people. There’s so much lore in GW but they have locked the world from us.

If you ^ think that I only play this game to grind AP and kill hundreds of mobs via LS updates, you are mistaken.

Happy New Year @Chris, other devs who read this and you guys! I haven’t seen such a dedication to a game from any other company so far, it doesn’t feel that Guild Wars is only a job for you, but your passion as well.

I’m not sure if others at Anet feel like you do, I have to say thank you for being this link to you guys. I’m looking forward to the following discussion about our brainstorming. All the best to you and your family.

<Big Hugs> to you Marcus and to all the fellow Collaborators. Thanks for being part of this initiative and making GW2 the very best it can be.

And in answer to your question the guys and girls at work are just as passionate as me if not more (-:

Ah I totally forgot about the personality system. Currently, it seems completely, 110% pointless in game. I wonder if theres something that can be done with that?

Chris, I already posted my top 3, and I am not sure this should be in the top 3…its already in the game, you need to just find a way to work it into progression or make it more meaningful.

A page from…cough, SWTOR… Their personality system(forgot what it was called already), the choices you make in your personal story were either Light(good) or Dark(bad). Your physical appearance in game changed. If you chose more dark things, you would become paler and paler, and eventually your eyes would become crazy looking. Also, NPCs reacted to you differently. If you were dark, they would be afraid of you, and give you what you want. If you were light, they adored you and praised you. You also had access to different types of armors depending which allegience, dark side or light side.

Food for thought.

STWOR personality system and personal story is probably the only brilliant thing that this game has and i would LOVE to see it in Gw2

I let the flamesticks poke me into oblivion for saying;

“I’d rather have a top 3 list of things that could actually make it in the game with existing technology and not having to do crazy amounts of extra coding, than having a top 3 list of things people want in the game just so without any further thought.”

°bracing°

Maybe if Chris tells us his three things, that will give us an idea of where to direct the discussion?

Are you willing to share, Chris?

Hi Videoboy,

I am still thinking through all the ideas and suggestions so my list may change but currently it is:

— Role Diversification: New skills/traits, new weapons, access to inaccessible existing weapons, infusions and hybrid professions.

— Sociopolitical Diversification: Player housing, Guild Halls, and Faction Alliances leading to new game play opportunities, rewards and content.

— Hero Recognition: Unique Skins, Titles, Rewards, followers and NPC reactions/opportunities based on the players individual feats in the world of Tyria regardless of how he/she chooses to play the game.

Please note these are just my personal thoughts on what I think would be cool. I am also still thinking about the ideas presented in the thread and therefore like anyone else reserve the right to change my top three (-:

Scarlet (French point of view)

in Living World

Hi! I’m a french player and come here to compare our point of view. Some French RP players are tired of Scarlet and have many complains about her and Arena.net. I decided to come and talk to the English community to see if there is a convergenr point of view about her.

The thing is that the major issue with the Living World storyline is Scarlet.

Everything seems inconsistent with this character from the beginning. “Hi ! I learned the mysteries of the Universe with the College of Synergetics, technomagical with the College of Dynamics, architecture with the College of Statics, smithing with a Norn and mechanic with a Charr of the Iron Legion. It take me only one years for graduate in each. I worked with Inquest, who dislike other races and use them as slave and guinea pig, but they make an exception for me. I manipulated the Charrs of the Flame Legion, the Dredges, the Nightmare Court, the Kraits, the Inquest and some pirates to serve my supremely clever plans where everything goes well exactly as I had expected and against you can do absolutely nothing. You’re all my toys !

In the opinion of many French people is that Scarlet is just a Dark Mary Sue. It’s why so many players complain about her. Arena.net is rotting the lore with Scarlet. What next ? Savage Alliance with Skritt, Grawls and Centaurs ? Ice Alliance with Hyleks and Svanirs ? And after that the Mega-Alliance involving all the alliances ? They should stop the nonsense…

Guild Wars 2 it’s : Elders Dragons and minor threats (Centaurs, Svanirs, Inquest, Flame Legion, …) against the Orders and the five races.

French players want to see Living World content with these minor threats to remind their existence. Personnally, If I can see the Flame Legion put the Black Citadel under siege I will be very happy. Other Living World content about Elders Dragons to remind the threat they are on Tyria. Zhaïtan was killed and they don’t give a kitten ? And between these, festive content like the Mad King Thorn.

But please stop with Scarlet. she’s a failed character, coated in a poorly made escalation, with nonsense at all floors… Last exemple in mind, when at the top of the Nightmare tower she speak five minutes and leave nonchalantly and NO ONE MOVE… The biggest current threat on Tyria (ahead of these napping dragons) is in front of us, with no guards and no wall of bramble between us and no one try to kill her ? They’re heroes that climbed the Nightmare tower or molluscs ? It’s not because of well crafted plans that she’s unstopable, it’s because heroes don’t give a kitten to her when she’s around…

French RP players mostly ask Arena.net to kill her and let us forget this mistake with better Living World content instead of this growing bunch of crap stomping every piece of lore. No more Mary Sueism, please !

I don’t think Hard mode is really a great progression feature. I think new content could be more fun than that.
I want to see my character’s progression. things that show he’s been around & done certain things. Scars on his body, maybe part of his body got cursed or marked, new tattoos, a home with unique layout & items in it, special armor fx, special custom attack animations, an idle animation that represents his personality, medals/capes/decorations, relationships with npcs that show in the game.

Basically:
My progression should be visible in game, not in the UI. Making numbers go up is the height for boredom. Having my character covered in medals, in a cool pose, with battle damage, scars, his hand branded by an elder dragon wielding a hammer with customized look & unique fx that represent my character? That’s fun.

this!!
I have no interest in hard mode simply for the sake of heard mode- as I am sure many of you can see Southsun doesn’t get played all that much, neither does teq on most servers and there were many more people zerging the pavilion than fighting the gauntlet.

We need fun content to show that our characters are more than the day they started- not just bigger mumbers
