Do more events and hearts in the area. The game will tell you what level the next quest is to prevent this from happening. You are supposed to do things along the way to the next story point.
You’ll never gain enough XP per story quest to only do them and ignore all overworld content.
Except Fort Concordia had been called that for the longest time. What would you have preferred, the Defense of Concordia?
PvE Main – Zar Poisonclaw – Daredevil
WvW Main – Ghost Mistcaller – Herald
I don’t understand this.
First they give us guild missions, and said: “we will add more missions and even more mission types”. I though this would be amazing! new missions from time to time? Always something to do with guild!
They added 2 new puzzles and a few bounty targets in the next patch then nothing for more then a year?
They give us fractals, and said: “this is perfect platform for us to add more fractals, tell more story etc” I though this is amazing! New dungeon every month or something?
And they give us 1 new fractal after a year ( and 2 as a bonus from LS)
They give us PvP tracks, and said: we will add more, PvE gets something PvP will get new track too with new PvE rewards!
No new track added.
They said: we will add more skills! (we even add skill points in chmp bags so you have skill points to spend on this new skills! ) I though that this will be more then amazing! New skill every month? New build? New fun.
They added 1 new healing skill…
This is sad
Hoping someone at anet reads this…. but I wanted to point out several of the names you assigned to these weapons are the wrong taxa to their corresponding insect (or other arthropod.)
I’m on my phone now so I can’t look them all up, but from general entomology knowledge I can tell you the following
Blattodea/termite: blattodea is the order that consists of kittenroaches. Termites are in isoptera.
Hymenoptera/mosquito: hymenoptera consists of bees, ants, and wasps. Mosquitoes belong in Diptera with flies.
I’m not as familiar with taxa for non-insect arthropods and like I said can’t really look them up at the moment. I really applaud anet’s design here and its a cool idea. I’m just requesting that the names be corrected if it doesn’t take too much time or resources (I can’t imagine it would.)
This may seem too nitpicky to some, and to a point I understand, but this is what I and I’m sure others here do as a living and its almost like nails on chalkboard! I wish I could think of a common example for context in another profession, perhaps something IT, I’m sure that is common here!
But even for the sake of general knowledge, many players are going to learn these names quick and it would be incorrect information. Reminds me of a time I was at the zoo and saw mother point at a pelican and tell her son it was a swan, and I wondered how long this kid would call pelicans swans until he was corrected.
Well, if you read this, thanks for listening!
Edit: haha, kittenroaches…

RNG is not fun. Getting something cool you didn’t expect that’s very rare is fun.
One of the things I liked about Guild Wars 1 was there was always a chance to get a black dye and in hard mode and eye of the north, always a small chance to get a lockpick. No matter how many hours I played, I loved getting stuff like that.
There’s not quite enough stuff like that in Guild Wars 2. But that means when I do get something cool, it’s more exciting because it’s something I don’t usually get. Like a black lion key drop (which I’ve gotten 3 times).
RNG sucks if you never get anything. It’s okay if you get cool stuff occasionally. This game needs more stuff like that.
Yes, just doubleclick the direction key and you will dodge that direction.
Perhaps ‘region’ refers to the NA and EU regions, as that is what region has always meant before. An instance is not a region, as far as I understand.
But Nomad’s lets you tank ALL the things!
Ahh. They say you can’t have your cake and eat it too.. well maybe the OP can’t but I sure as kitten do when I read these threads.
1st, please don’t bring something from different topic to this one.
Why not? Because it reveals your hypocrisy?

And here I thought that the Obsidian Sanctum update would quiet the small minority of GvG players.
im currently ovr 4k forges and still no pre-cursor, so stop asking for a nerf as im sure theres people with even more forge uses then me without luck
so now that you are rich thanks to rng u want that rng nerfed so that others can’t have a chance at getting rich , lol go kitten yourself

Precurs are much rarer and more expensive to get than a your typical ascended weapons. Raising their status to ascended won’t affect the price or their drop rate. Prices are driven by demand and rarity.
it means THEY got me for " neg criticism in clever disguise".
Know that it has been fun and I love ya all.
If precursors are a piece that leads up to creating a legendary and Im pretty sure other gifts are of legendary quality, why isn’t the precursor an ascended weapon? If you were truly to RP the game, the precursor would be the most powerful weapon (non-stat wise) that is not the Legendary weapon, and you would probably use it until you got your legendary. I know that before ascended gear was introduced, legendaries had exotic stats, but now, with ascended, there would be NO REASON to even use a precursor, it would sit in your bank til you use it or sell it.
I have always gotten a lot of Accuracy. I’m not sure it has escalated much recently. Lots of Rage also.
The mystic forge does seem to produce lots of rage. ;-)
Yeh tbh I would much prefer the clean version too. It’s got a really nice metallic shine.
Yes, and this is a good thing.

You have 2 weeks or more to log on for 30 seconds to unlock an episode.
If you can’t even do that, then yes you have the option of buying the story and unlocking it. But keep in mind your friends can take you into the story instance for free, you just wont get any rewards.
If I had a hospital stay, or was on some kind of horrific accident that prevented me from logging into GW2 for 2 weeks. The least of my worries would be paying 200 gems for some content I may or may not be around for.
What’s this? You have to pay for DLC expansions?
What insanity! It’s like ArenaNet is doing something every other company doesn’t do!
Oh wait, they are… by having it free if you log on for even 1 second within 2 weeks of the update’s release.
Honestly, you don’t even have to pay the content. Just turn on your computer (laptop or desktop), run GW2, go away, come back a couple hours later, log in, let the loading screen occur (go do something if you want), and then close once you see the game itself.
Family? Work? School? Vacation? If you cannot even spare 5 non-consecutive minutes then I think you have bigger problems than “I have to pay for releases that others got for free! QQ”
Like time management issues.
@Dizzie: No game in existence will ever give you an expansion for free. If you want new content, you’ll have to pay for it just like you’d have to pay for the base game. GW2 isn’t free to play, it’s buy to play – buy once and have it for eternity or your account’s permabanned. GW1 was the same, and you had to buy each campaign and expansion. Season 2 is different in that you have a chance – like a reversely rigged lottery (where it’s completely in your favor) – to get it for free. And it won’t disappear, ever.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

We can’t do that, but would you like a new minipet in the gem store instead?
I went to the Greyhoof Camp waypoint last night.
Seraph: Help! We need your help!
Me: Yes, I can see that! There’s a huge vine grappling with the Asuran waypoint here!
Seraph: What? No! There are centaurs making trouble, we need you to deal with them!

Seraph never could see the forest for the centuars.
Better idea: An expansion’s worth of armor/weapon skins that are purchased with some sort of token.
So essentially you want me to level all my eight characters – again – so they can (again) unlock new traits to be able to do everything an “ascended” or “finished” character can do?
No. Just no. This treadmill mentality has got to stop.
