kitten now I have to go back there.
EDIT: and of course I can’t just replay that mission, I have to replay the entire kitten episode…

well i was under the impression that RPers just pretended the canon story is kitten and/or done by someone else that totally isn’t their PC.
i mean, there are only so many people that can be the commander of the pact that reunited destiny’s edge, took down zhaitan, killed scarlet, and now leads a ragtag group of adventurers.
though going by my contact with a certain RPer yesterday, they dismiss stuff such as “lore” and “logic” in order to fit their weird story. i pointed out to them that sylvaris don’t have surnames, they got mad that i didn’t know the backstory, and that when the sylvari was a child it got adopted by a family of humans.
…sure.
I think the three meta-events in that area are meant to show the Pact invading Orr

When you’re having a dodgeball fight and you tell your team to stack…..
When you read ‘kitten’ as profanity every time, or try to work out what swear is intended in a sentence about kittens.
When you fall for the hype and leave disappointed.

Anet said they would be exclusive, compensating us for losing literally five, six years of accumulation. All the best armor and weapons, gone. All our money. Gone. We all had to start over, in a game we never really asked for.
It’s not really that much of a perk to be honest.
Why not keep playing Guild Wars then. It’s still there.
How about because Anet stopped upgrading it, stopped adding to it, stopped coming out with new content. Even I can only play the same stuff so many times.
However, I actually prefer Guild Wars 2 to Guild Wars 1. Which doesn’t mean I didn’t have to start over. And you know, if Anet did upgrade Guild Wars 1, if they hadn’t put it on life support many might still be playing it.
This was supposed to be a Guild War 1 upgrade. If it came out as an upgrade we’d still have everything we worked for.
I never played GW but they actually said this was an upgrade? I think the whole “2” in the name ought to tip people off this is a new game, not an upgrade. All your hard work is still there, you didn’t lose it.
Okay obviously you’re not understanding so I’ll try one more time. Guild Wars 1 players were told there would be an upgrade. It was going to be called Utopia. That was what we were told we would get. Anet scrapped Utopia, the upgrade we actually wanted, to make Guild Wars 2. HAD we gotten Utopia, we’d have new content and everything we worked for. Anet STOPPED upgrading the game we were playing to make this game. No expansions for five years. Five years. And none ever again.
This isn’t an update for Guild Wars 1, but it did replace the update we were told we would get. And that’s why Anet give us some kind of reward.
There are many people who’d rather be playing an updated GW 1 than this game. They have no choice, because Guild Wars 1 isn’t getting any updates…ever.
Wrong. Utopia was canceled. But it was replaced with Eye of the North, then they went on to start work on GW2.

The ratio of fat, blunt and oversized weapons is way out of hand when compared to the slim and elegant weapons. Take sword for instance, the only elegant sword are infinite light and fractal sword, both of which are insanely hard to get. I know somebody will suggest low level weapons but those weapons have other issues like being too generic.

Guaranteed t5 mat drop from elites, maybe a 25-33% chance of this upgrading to a t6 drop, done.
Imagine it – you do a dungeon and get 1.26g. In the dungeon run you cleared two sets of four elites, got 6 t5 mats and then two powerful bloods. Your dungeon run now gave you 2.26g + other loot.
Tired of rushing 10 minutes dungeons, hopping through mobs, which invariably end up killing some one.
People dodge them because they are not worth killing, exp is irrelevant, gold is too little, and they yield nothing else. Very hard to argue for doing the dungeon right when it is not in their best interest.
My suggestion, make them yield karma. Not much like something like 20 or so, enough so that at the end of the dungeon if you cleared it yielded something like 800 or so karma or what ever floats the boat.vv

She has the judgment of a child. .
She is a child isn’t she..?
If I’m really the boss, I want her off the team. She has the judgment of a child. She’s a fool, a liability. And if that weren’t enough, she’s impudent. At least let me put her in some command center where she ckittene her talents to help the team without putting everyone in harm’s way.
Drooburt’s death by far, it made me think. Did anyone else notice that he did actually get to buy his drink? It was right there, next to him: an elixir of heroes. Why he didn't drink it for the invulnerability buff, I don't know.
PvT gear in PvE is being selfish unless it is requested/needed by some situations. The game mechanic in gw2 is that players kill mobs fast enough to avoid getting hit or downed. And even if a guardian survives the encounter with PvT gear, he/she cannot solo the entire barrage of mobs+bosses, hence getting killed anyway. If you are in full zerker you can contribute a lot in melting mobs/bosses down thus helping the entire party avoiding wipe. Also by having more toughness, the aggro will be drawn to guard, potentially screwing up LOS and getting killed even faster.
Can’t you still get badges of honor through acheivement chests? You can also farm badges by doing the jumping puzzles each day, the borderlands ones are easy and deserted usually while the Obsidian Sanctum one could be free of GvGs depending on your server.

No, it measures how seriously you take achievement points.

The OP’s question has been plaguing me since I returned to GW2 a month or so ago. Yes, I know silk scraps’ horrid history. I used to vendor them myself as well because it wasn’t worth putting them up on the TP. They were essentially worthless. But ANet obviously over corrected here.
Making Damask Bolts require 300 scraps, whereas mithril and etc only require 100 of the raw materials is a bit absurd. Not to mention the amount used in other recipes. I understand it’s slightly easier to come by, but good lord. I believe this was an attempt to empty the likely millions of scraps that were collecting dust on the TP, and boy did it work, but it’s time to re-adjust it to be more in line with the other t5 mat requirements.
It’s extremely unfair on tailors for a MULTITUDE of reasons. Other professions really only need a small amount of damask to create their ascended armors, whereas tailors of course require more in order to craft those fancy vests and pantaloons. I haven’t done the math, I’m sure someone else has, but the price to craft (especially including the price of linen and more, which is also absurdly expensive) a set of cloth armor v a set of plate armor has got to be an enormous gulf.
Saying “Well, why do you NEED that armor?” is a bit absurd (I know I’m using that word a lot, but it fits) as well. When Heavy/Medium classes can fully craft their armors for a fraction of the price lights must face, its a pretty huge imbalance. ANet fixed the problem of useless silk by making it TOO valuable. Correct it back to a reasonable level, please.
I also understand that this is “end-game” stuff here. It’s not something I should be able to log in with 40g and craft an entire set of and be done (not that you can log in with any number of gold and be done, since there are required farm portions of the craft). I am one of those people who have always been a little “meh” on the developer’s stance of making the best items so easily accessible. There should be armor that’s best-in-slot that you have to WORK pretty hard for. But making the armor for certain professions inordinately harder than most other professions is silly.
I’m not even asking for them to be exactly equal with mithril and etc. Maybe have the total silk cost of damask be reduced to 150 instead of 100 like most people are asking. Anything at all would be a blessing.
I think most of the people saying there will be a “huge outcry” about “Hey, WE had to spend x amount of gold on silk, so should everyone for all of eternity!” are likely people who had 20,000 bolts sitting in their vault before ascended armor was even introduced and did not have to face this silliness. That, or they are some of the people who are profiting off this imbalance and simply don’t want to lose their precious gold farm. Also, ANet takes GREAT pride in how they’ve structured their economy, as they should. For the most part it’s simply amazing, and I wish I was smart enough to play the post like some people. It’s a truly inspiring system. But this is a bit of a smudge on that system, and I’d love for it to be fixed.
My question: Has anyone in charge ever even acknowledged this problem? And it’s definitely a problem. I’ve heard enough complaints on the forums and in map chat to be convinced of that.
The whole election was rigged for Kiel. Sorry.
To make storymodes even less populated? No ty.
I think it’s fine like this and most story modes are done pretty fast, only coe and hotw take some time and even that’s not too much.
A nit to be picked. Would be nice to have 8 slots on the character select screen.
